Okay, yes. I know I know. It's really really late to be finally doing this report. But what the heck! I've got the Dining review bug I guess, because I'm fired up and ready to do this report!
We stayed at POP, September 21st to October 6th. 2 full weeks!

So, here we are.

Me (Jenny!)- I'd like to think I'm an adventorous eater, but I'm really more of a wanna-be. I'm not into fancy cheeses or funky sauces. And I like normal ol' food. I guess because I'm a hick. ;) Not a big fish eater either. You might not see it here, but I really do prefer chicken over the other meats. If I were forced to be a vegetarian, I think I'd do pretty good.

Mom - Pretty much like me, except she admitted to herself she just wasn't adventorous. Not a big beef eater at all, would much rathar have a peice of grilled chicken over a grilled steak.

Dad - The most adventorous. He'll try anything once. Steak, Potatoes, Breakfast stuff. Ya know. Typical manly food. :p

We snabbed up the free dining as soon as it came out, so we were all ready to eat a ton! I made a lot of ADR's and plans and such before we left, but as you'll see, we basically blew most of it off. We've found out we're much more freestyle. And actually, love simple ol' counter service. We ate at the POP food court a LOT (lot lot lot lot lot) so I might not have pictures of all that, and plus, it was just a lot of repeats.

Okay, here is where I'll try to keep an updated list of the reviews, with links. Not that there's gonna be a lot of frivilious chat on here anyways. ;) Also I'm getting a little confused about which days we went where, so I might get a few things mixed up. Hey, at least this isn't a trip report! But I'll try to post all the restaurants.

(Even if you just like to lurk, I'd really enjoy it if you'd post a little comment! It helps to know someones actually reading. :p I'll respond to everyone.)

So let's get this show on the road!!!

Okay, recovering from a little resort room mishap from the night before and a super late flight into MCO, we woke up late. Pretty late. I think it was actually 9:30 or so before we all got going. Once we were all showered and ready to go, we realized how hungry we were. We had barely eat anything the day before what with the weird flight schedule and such. Thank goodness we had scheduled an off day, we all needed it!

We walked down to the food court to see what we could get to fill our tummies up. We were on the DDP but hadn't checked in yet for our package (blah blah blah) so we just paid for this OOP.

After much debating about what me and my mom would share (you'll see this as something we did a lot. Not to save money, just before we don't like to eat huge meals) we finally decided on a steak wrap (came with fries) 1 salad to share and some cheese fries. No dessert. Well this was way too much food. We also bought our mugs and filled them up. (Sorry about the quality of some of the pictures. I hadn't figured out how to work the flash yet.)

http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce35b3127ccebdef5afba0770000002.jpg

This was pretty good actually. The salad was fresh, cold and crisp. The cheesy fries and regular fries were cholesterol filled, heart clogging goodness. And the steak wrap has quite a bit of yummy flavorful beef inside of it. As you'll see later, we ate this quite a few times during the trip.

My dad had ventured off to find breakfast and to avoid me and my mom's food choice dramatic-ness. We picked an omelet, potatoes and 2 extra sausage patties.

http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce35b3127ccebdef4566e07d0000002.jpg

He devoured the omelet and proclaimed "Good." Took one bite of the potatoes and discovered they were completely raw inside. And said the sausage was "Okay" (I tried a bite and thought it was a bit mushy. My mom liked it though). He's not really an opinionated man, as you'll come to see.

Overall, I s'pose we enjoyed it because ate everything really fast and came back multiple times during the trip for more! The decore is really cute and was very fun to stare at (I'm easily entertained). Everything was very kid-friendly and adorable.

Chef Mickeys review next. Good? Bad? Incredibly uncomfortable and off-putting? We'll just have to wait and seeeeee.

So, after we got our room fiasco straightened out we decided to roam around a little bit. We went over to Port Orleans to browse (I had been wanting to stay here) and then took the boat over to DTD.

When we arrived, I just wasn't feeling the Disney magic. Maybe it's because of the room mix-up, or maybe I was just cranky. Never the less, I had to get some Disney in me. I immediately thought about creme brulee (I can't find the stuff anywhere in my town). Thankfully, my mom had remembered about the brulee at WPExpress and the reviews about how good it was. So I went in, snack credit in hand, and bought just one of them. You may think I was trying to save credits, but nope. It was really really hot outside and if you mix in too much dairy product... Nahhhh, I think I'll pass on that joy. So I bought just one for us to share.

http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce32b3127ccebde510812a8e0000002.jpg

Oh my gosh. This stuff is amazing! You break into the crunchy, carmelized sugar on top, and it goozes this wonderous delight. Warm, creamy..mmmm. :cloud9: I loved the texture. But be warned, this thing is very sweet. So you don't need too much of it!

Will I return for more? Absolutely.

Okay, after that we just wondered around DTD (didn't buy anything as it was to early in the trip) for a few hours. We planned to take the bus over to Contemporary for our ADR at Chef Mickey's. Wellll....that didn't quite work out. As most of you now know, the bus system was down at this time. So instead, we took the boat over to Saratoga Springs. Then we walked all the way through to their bus stop (boy that's a big resort!) and got on the one headed for Magic Kingdom.

Do you know how hard it is to pass Magic Kingdom without running through the turnstiles like a crazy woman?! Well, I tried to hold back as we walked to the monorails. By the time we got on the monorail, we still had about 30 minutes to kill...do you know where I'm going with this? Yep, like a bunch of children we just road the monorail over and over and over and over again until it was around 8 o'clock and we had to finally get off and go to dinner.

Now let me back track a little bit. A week before we left was my dad's birthday and so dinner at Chef Mickey's was supposed to be his birthday dinner (he didn't know that of course). When we checked in, I shooed my Dad off somewhere to take pictures while we confirmed the cake was there.

We didn't wait long here at all. Immediately after getting our picture taken we were led to a table. Our server was named Thea, and she was very friendly and attentive. We placed our drink orders and made our way to the buffet.

http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce35b3127ccebdef6c4ca0db0000002.jpg
My cold plate. There's salad, potato salad, artichoke medley and some cheese. The salad was fine, nothing to write home about (although I am...) The potato salad and cheese both had a very strong, funny taste to them. To this day I can't pinpoint what the flavor was, but it was just nasty. The artichokes were very bland.

http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce35b3127ccebdef7b63e0670000002.jpg
Mom's cold plate. Salad, potato salad, and shrimp salad. The said the same thing about the potato salad as I did. I tried a bite of the shrimp and they seemed very mushy. :scared:

http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce35b3127ccebdef6fdde0d30000002.jpg
My dad's "cold" plate. :rotfl: I don't know if I've mentioned already but he happens to adore shrimp. As do all of us. I didn't try one of these but he devoured them so I s'pose they were "good".

http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce35b3127ccebdef6ffa61c40000002.jpg
My hot plate. As you can see, I'm one of those "can't have my food touching each other" types. From the top going clockwise...Parmesan Mashed Potatoes, Mickey Ravioli, Broccoli, Penne with cheese and mushroom sauce, Salmon with Pesto Coulis. I know people rave about those potatoes, but I thought they were just alright. I didn't know the pasta had mushrooms in it, because I despise those little funky things. The ravioli was cold and sort of tasted like spaghetti-o's. The salmon was yummy, the flavor was subtle but it was cooked perfectly. I think I went back for seconds of this.

http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce35b3127ccebdef6357e05f0000002.jpg
Mom's plate. Top going down clockwise...Mickey Ravioli, some sort of beef, Parmesan Mashed Potatoes, Mickeyroni and cheese, Chicken leg?. She didn't like any of this really. She ate some, but just didn't care for it.

http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce35b3127ccebdef7b4461700000002.jpg
Dad's manly plate. I'm not sure what all this is. I see beef, mashed potatoes, ribs, and maybe chicken? He said it was "alright" but thought the 'BBQ' was very fatty as well as that beef.

If you haven't noticed, this is a character restaurant. They all seemed very rushed and I felt uncomfortable taking pictures with them. The only one who seemed really 'in character' was Pluto. The whole thing was extremely off-putting.

They brought out my Dad's cake while I was at the buffet, so I didn't get to see his initial reaction. We was red when I got back though. :p

http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce35b3127ccebde880c641c20000002.jpg

We were stuffed at this point so couldn't really eat any of it. They boxed it up with a plastic cake spatula for us to take back to the room. (Note: Next time you bring food home, bring something to eat it on.) We only realized this after we got back and when we wanted to eat some we had to eat it with our fingers! I told ya we were hicks. ;)

Will we eat here again? Definitely not. The food was less than mediocre and nobody enjoyed the uncomfortable atmosphere.

That night we had a DIS meet but couldn't stay long as we were about to collapse on the ground from exhaustion. It was fun meeting everyone though. Finally we got back to our room, threw on some PJ's and melted into the beds.

Coming up next - Main Street Bakery, POP Food court, and Nine Dragons. How will it turn out? Will they be a success or a disaster? You'll just have to wait and seeeee.

I think what was uncomfortable was the fact that the characters were rushed and didn't seem into it, with the exception of one. If the characters don't seem to want the be there it an be off putting. That was just my take on what was said.

Yes, we were excited about the characters. We had went previously in 2001 as well.

The characters were very rushed and they looked very uncomfortable. I guess you had to see it to believe it but it was just weird. Like maybe they were new and hadn't gotten used to being a character yet? :confused3

We were surprised because we loved it in 2001.

Our's too! We only eat them at Disney, and we eat them a lot there. :p

Also I have to add, we were in the first room off to the right of the buffet. Not in the main dining room. It seemed like they were having fun in there, so maybe it's that.

I still hope everyone has fun there. :)

Okay, so this was our first park day! I seriously couldn't get out of the room fast enough. We thought about having breakfast at POP but passed on that in favor on the bakery.

I can't even explain how magical I felt when I finally got to walk under the train station and see Main Street. :cloud9: Well enough of that, this isn't a trip report Jenny!

It was fairly crowded when we got there but we only had a minimal wait. We used 1 counterservice and a snack credit for this? Maybe? I can't quite remember.

I ordered the coveted french toast loaf.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce35b3127ccebde8bfd080630000002.jpg
This had a really good sugary sweet flavor. It was a little dry (maybe burnt?) around the edges but that's okay. The middle part was delicious.

My mom ordered the chocolate crossaint. She had drooled over these things for months.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce35b3127ccebde8b86e41760000002.jpg
I took a bite and instantly fell in love, as did my mom. The chocolate melts warmly in your mouth while the powdered sugar makes a nice contrast. This was so flaky.

And my dad, being a man and all :p, ordered something with meat. The crossaint sandwich.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce35b3127ccebde8bc61c04b0000002.jpg
My dad really liked this one. It would be really good if you like eggs and bacon for breakfast instead of a pastry. Which we all do sometimes. I thought the egg was done perfectly.

I think we also got a diet coke, or maybe a water.

Will we return? Most likely. I love the thought of sitting and eating pastries on Main Street!

So after that was done we strolled down to Main Street and road a few rides, then we went down to Fronteirland to try Splash Mountain and BTMRR. (I was too chicken last time.) I fell in love with those, btw. We also did a few other things.

Around 1 o'clock we were feeling rumblings in our tummy so we looked for a place to eat. Now, the last two times we went me and my mom have adored the chicken wraps from Pecos Bills (and we've talked about them for years and years) So we thought we'd go have one of those since we were already in Frontierland.

Well the restaurant was crowded beyond belief and we debated staying or going back to the resort for food and rest. After many times getting in the line and deciding to leave and then getting in the line again we decided to call it at a day at MK.

We had an O'hanas ADR for 4 o'clock but we just couldn't wait that long. We were hungry! So we ended up canceling that because we knew since we were eating now there was no way we'd be hungry by 4 o'clock.

We got back to the POP. The food court wasn't very crowded at all, because a lot of people were in the parks. We wanted to share again because we planned on trying to make another ADR sometime way later that night. My mom and I got a pepperoni pizza, cheese fries and a tie-dye cheesecake. I don't remember which drink because those were a pain in the butt if ya know what I mean. We had our mugs so we really did not want more drinks.

http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce32b3127ccebde537a46a200000002.jpg
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce32b3127ccebde542fa2adc0000002.jpg
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce32b3127ccebde54f79ebf10000002.jpg
We both though the pizza was alright. It was very doughy (we knew it would be and ordered it anyways) and we prefer thin crust but that's okay because by now we were starving! The cheese fries were hot and...cheesy. My mom doesn't eat cheesecake so I had it all to myself, I'm a fan. This was really good. I happen to be really picky when it comes to cheese cake, but WDW has it spot on. The red velvet crust was a yummy attribute.

Again, my dad ventured off to fend for himself. He came back with a burger, fries and a pudding? I can't remember the dessert and we forgot to take a picture of it.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce32b3127ccebde54d436afa0000002.jpg
This was your standard WDW burger found at most CS locations. It was hot, and he packed it full of yummy toppings. "Good."

Okay, so we were really really full by this time and mosied back to our rooms with the intention of making a late ADR somewhere. We called and there was quite a bit open at Epcot so we picked Nine Dragons because we really enjoy Chinese food. We rested a little bit, I think I took a nap, and off we were again.

Continued in next post...

BabyPiglet

It was raining when we got to Epcot and we had forgotten our ponchos so we just soldiered through it. We rode a couple rides and browsed some shops in Future World before making our way to the Showcase.

Nine Dragons was moderately busy (if they were packed, you couldn't tell.) We were seated immediately and placed our drinks orders (2 diet cokes and a regular one.)

Here's one picture I got of the inside. It's really pretty inside and everything is very detailed.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce35b3127ccebde8087bc00b0000002.jpg

For appetizer I ordered the; Pot Sticker - Traditional dumpling filled with pork and vegetables.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce32b3127ccebde552efabf10000002.jpg
This was very good. They were perfectly warm and had the right amount of filling. After we all tasted each others appys we agreed mine was the best. The sauce was also very nice.

My mom ordered: Drunken Chicken - Chicken marinated in Shao Xing wine, served cold. It was served really cutely in this little wooden cup.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce32b3127ccebde555cb6a7e0000002.jpg
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce32b3127ccebde56ab22a800000002.jpg
This was also good. It had a bit of a 'different' taste, but I'm guessing that was the wine. I guess we hadn't read the menu properly because we hadn't expected it to be cold.

My dad ordered; Shrimp and Pork Spring Roll - Shanghai-style spring roll made fresh daily with minced pork, baby shrimp and Chinese vegetables.

This was also good. Everyone all the table enjoyed it. I couldn't see any baby shrimp but I'm guessing they were in there never the less. The sauce it came in made these over the top yummy.

After we nibbled on all the appetizers, we ordered entrees. I had always known I wanted to order pepper beef ever since I looked at the menu. I love bell peppers. Here's the description; Canton Pepper Beef - Beef stir-fried with onions, green and red peppers with scallion flavored noodles served on the side. It didn't come with any noodles, but sticky rice instead. :confused3
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce32b3127ccebde568c8abcb0000002.jpg
They have dish like this at my local chinese place. This was right up my alley. Very good with a nice flavor from the peppers but it wasn't spicy. I also like sticky rice and they went good together.

My mom ordered; Honey Sesame Chicken - Batter-fried chicken breast served with tangy honey and sesame sauce
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce32b3127ccebde56dd4eb4d0000002.jpg
She liked it. It wasn't overly sweet but the chicken was a little dried out I believe.

My dad ordered; General Tso's Chicken - Hunan-style crispy chicken breast stir-fried in a spicy brown sauce
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce32b3127ccebde56b1a6ab00000002.jpg
He liked this as well but didn't have much to say about it.

We were stuffed and had only eat about 1/2 our plate. We decided to stop then so we could stuff some dessert down our mouth. :)
I got the red bean ice cream because I was feeling adventorous and there wasn't much to choose from.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce32b3127ccebde56389eb170000002.jpg
Oh boy, I think I've found a new favorite ice cream! It tasted like vanilla except it was much more subtle. It was the perfect texture, just how I like it. I'm definitely going to have to find this somewhere at Epcot this year!

My mom ordered the chocolate cake.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce32b3127ccebde55d2f6a9e0000002.jpg
I didn't try it but she said it was alright. Nothing too yummy.

And my dad ordered some kind of ginger cake? It's not on the menu.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce32b3127ccebde562c42af20000002.jpg
I think he said it was strange tasting. Spicy maybe? He didn't like it I believe.

I can't remember the name of our server but he was really attentive but not to the hovering point. He also urged us to try new things.

Would we eat here again? Maybe. I think it might be closed in September but we'd also like to try new restaurants. Epcot has so many yummy sounding places to eat! We did enjoy our dinner here though. And I recommend it to anyone who's on the fence about it. It does get some bad reviews and some good reviews. So it really depends on you.

After that we just wobbled on back to the resort without watching Illuminations or anything. It was still raining so the park was pretty deserted though.

Coming up next...Another day at MK with lunch at Kona Cafe, and a late late dinner at none other than the food court!

Great reviews Jenny. You are making me hungry again. I can't believe you are on day two and I had not had that chicken wrap yet. We did end up eating at the food court alot the first week. You tired out on us too quick.

As far as Chef Mickey's I am not sure it was just the characters, we did not enjoy the food much. Most of it was cold and not good selections, our tastes anyways. As you all probably can tell we really are basic eaters.

Come on Jenny I want more. When are you starting the trip report?

Would you believe in all of our years of visiting WDW we've never managed to snag breakfast at the Main Street Bakery? Shame on us ... we must go there if for no other reason than to try the french toast loaf (which did look a bit overcooked in your picture, but then again I don't like my bread crunchy so perhaps I'm biased).

And... that cheesecake looks like play-doh! :rotfl2:

I had to scroll back up to make sure it was real food! :lmao:

Looking forward to reading more! :thumbsup2

We went to Magic Kingdom again today. When looking through the pictures, I couldn't figure out if we had breakfast or not, but then I found a missing album! Anyways, we arrived early and started in Tomorrowland working our way towards the back of the park.

By the time we got to Fronteirland we were pretty hungry since we hadn't eaten breakfast. It was about 10:30 so we went to ride a couple rides and would come back later. Around 11:30 or so we made our way back to Pecos Bills. FINALLY! We would be able to eat our amazing chicken wrap we had drooled over since our last trips. By the time we got there the restaurant had already filled up. So I went to find a table with my dad, while my mom ordered everything.

Me and my mom, of course, shared a chicken wrap with fries. You'll see why once I show you the picture. By the way, these pictures are bad. I don't know what was wrong with my camera that morning!

http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/47b7ce35b3127ccebd91da5ee0150000-1.jpg
I had worried that since we had loved it so much before, that it would be dissapointed. Don't ya'll worry, this thing was yummy! I know there's not many reviews of it on the DIS, but I suggest next time you go to MK you get one of these. It's filled with crispy lettuce, grilled chicken, tomatoes, cheese and ranch. We like to put some extra tomatoes on it from the toppings bar. Mmmm, I'm craving one now. It's also a great mix-up from the regular ol' burger. Speaking of burgers....

That's what my dad ordered. We filled it up at the toppings bar with lettuce, pickles, tomatoes and mayo. This picture is a little messy, beware.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/47b7ce32b3127ccebde6a826cb910000002.jpg
Again, typical WDW burger. Which we all happen to like. It was made even better with all the good toppings. He said it was hot and fresh tasting, as were the fries.

We ordered the peanut butter brownie mousse for dessert.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/47b7ce32b3127ccebde6a1b48b9f0000002.jpg
First bite sort of hits you outta nowhere. It seems sort of salty at first. After a couple bites it got better. But it's very very very rich. After a few bites though it really grows on you and you learn to like it. We ended up eating only one and giving the other to a family nearby.

All in all, we are most definitely going to eat here again. It's our favorite CS in all of WDW, and always will be. I recommend the chicken wrap as something different from the norm! Tasty tasty stuff.

After that we did more rides, shows, and of course, walking. Our ADR for Kona was around 4 and by then we were getting hungry again. We took the monorail over to the Polynesian just in time for our reservation.

This was my mom's most anticipated restaurant. She had first come across the menu on Deb's site and had been drooling over it ever since!

http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/47b7ce32b3127ccebde6fec24a6e0000002.jpg
(Our view from our table)
I think that's our waiter standing at the counter there.

I've gotta mention this, our waiter was absolutely wonderful!!! I wish I could remember her name but I just can't. She was so sweet and fun. We told her we were sharing and, as you'll come to see, she was totally fine with that and really made it easier! Yes, me and my mom even shared here! We didn't do it to save money (we were already eating for free) we just did it cause the portions are so big here.

Me and my mom ordered the Kona Sticky Wings.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/47b7ce35b3127ccebdef6357e05f0000002.jpg
My mom ate most of these as I'm not big on sticky wings. I had one and thought it had a nice tangy sauce and they were very tender. My mom loved them.

My dad ordered the crab cakes.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/47b7ce32b3127ccebde6de444af80000002.jpg
These were very good! I'm so glad I got to taste these. The sauce went very well with them. My mom (not a big crab lover) even liked these.

I ordered the teriyaki fried steak with tomato salsa for me and my mom.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/47b7ce32b3127ccebde6d5550a740000002.jpg
Here's where our waiter's wonderful-ness came in. We each got a plate like this. The dish normally comes with 4 peices and macaroni salad and sticky rice. Well our waiter told the cook to split the steaks and each gives us our own plates with the sides. :lovestruc That was so absolutely sweet of her to do! We weren't expecting it because we were fine with just sharing, but wow! Okay, now to the reviews. The steak was very good. It's covered in breadcrumbs, fried and topped with a great fresh tomato salsa. I loved it, it went well with the sauce. The macaroni salad was out of this world. Creamy, tangy, crunchy veggies. Mmmmm. I didn't bother eating the rice as I didn't want to fill up too much more. My mom agreed with everything I said.

My dad ordered the Pulled BBQ Sandwich.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/47b7ce32b3127ccebde6ea33cba50000002.jpg
He really liked this, my mom took a taste and agreed. I didn't fancy the sauce very much at all, but the meat was tender. I wrote down in my little notepad that I adored the cole slaw, but I can't remember. It looks yummy and crunchy though.

Me and my mom ordered the chocolate macadamia nut tarte.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/47b7ce32b3127ccebde6e2544af60000002.jpg
Again, our wonderful waiter surprised us with a plate each! It usually only comes with one scoop of ice cream and two slices, but I guess she batted her eyelashes at the cooks and we got this. It was way too much of course, but so delicious. Reminded me of a pecan pie because of the custard. We both adore macadamia nuts so this was perfect.

My dad ordered the banana creme brulee.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/47b7ce32b3127ccebde6e1a70a9c0000002.jpg
He said it was "good". I picked around the bananas (I don't like them cooked in my food) and the actual cream part was tasty.

All in all, we really enjoyed our dinner. We want to try O'hanas, but there's a good possibility we'll come back. If not only for the macaroni salad and nut tarte! It ended up being one of my very favorite TS meals though.

After that we went back to MK and toured Toon Town.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/47b7ce32b3127ccebde61d090a4c0000002.jpg

We got back to the resort pretty late and were feeling sorta kinda hungry again. Well at least me and my mom were, not my dad. We decided to go down to the Food Court and split another CS meal.

It was late so we forgot to take pictures until the very end. We ordered a burger and cheese fries, I think you can picture what that looks like by now. ;) For dessert we got a sundae to share. I had read about these on the boards and knew I had to have one. It comes with three scoops!
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/47b7ce35b3127ccebdea2f5ac0390000002.jpg
We got one chocolate, one cookies and cream, and one vanilla scoop. Yum yum yum. What can one say about a hot fudge sundae? Ice cold creaminess paired with the warm sweet fudge. Not to mention the toasty nuts and airy whipped cream. Descriptive enough? It was gooooood.

This was our drink choice. I like tea but this was way to lemon-y for me. Lets just say lemon is not one of my favorite things in the world.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/47b7ce35b3127ccebdea2ed280290000002.jpg

We also picked up a box of donuts with a snack credit for morning.

Today's review is going to be short.

We woke up and ate some of those donuts we purchased the night before. I personally like the crumb one the best. They all seemed fresh and tasty.

Since this isn't a SeaWorld board, I won't elaborate on our day but if anyone wants pictures of our lunch there or more details, feel free to PM me!

We took a taxi back and got dropped off at Pleasure Island for our late ADR at Raglan Road. It seemed pretty crowded in the reception part, but we were seated very fast. (We actually saw a DISer there but I was too nervous to talk to her/him. We did meet quite a few great ones on our trip though.) We got a seat in the far right. There was a window in front of us and next to us was this big couch seat for big groups. The decore and wood here are just gorgeous, I would go back just to stare at the walls. ;)

I had to use the bathroom but spent about 5 minutes walking aimlessly around the restaurant looking for it! I even asked the waitress at first but I guess I don't take direction well. So when you go, be sure to get clear directions!

Here's pictures of the bread and dip.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce32b3127ccebde67a204ace0000002.jpg
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce32b3127ccebde67a9dcb430000002.jpg

I ordered; Colpucinno - frothy Colcannon soup, a creamy potato, bacon and cabbage soup.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce32b3127ccebde672cdcb170000002.jpg
Sadly, this was yucky. It was grainy and had absolutely no flavor. And neither did that stick of puff pastry. I was very dissapointed in this and wished I had ordered something else. I took about 3 bites and set it aside.

My mom ordered; Drunk Chicken - a whiskey glazed chicken kebab served with lime cilantro dipping sauce
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce32b3127ccebde67ef1cb2d0000002.jpg
:lovestruc That sauce you see there, was so yummy. Tangy and slightly sweet, it went perfect with the chicken. Speaking of chicken, it was cooked perfectly and had a lot of nice flavor.

My dad ordered; Goats Town - Irish goats cheese terrine made with sauteed garlic, shallots, ****ake mushroom. Served with grilled crostini
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce32b3127ccebde67b858bc30000002.jpg
My dad liked this. He ate about half I believe. I tried a taste but I'm not a fan of goat cheese so I didn't like it.

For my main I already knew what I would order. I had drooled over pictures of this for many months. Keen Eye for the Sheperds Pie - We give the traditional Shepherd's Pie (prime beef and lamb) a much-needed makeover with our contemporary twist to this favorite dish
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce32b3127ccebde673cb8b890000002.jpg
Awwww, I'm getting hungry just thinking about this. The meat part itself had a very very good flavor. I think I could drink that gravy (at the bottom of the bowl) by itself. The potatoes were creamy, moist and buttery. Perfect. I've never made Sheperds Pie, and don't plan to. I don't think anything can compare to this marvelous dish. Okay okay, enough about me...

My mom ordered; Pan Fried Lemon Sole and Chips - Whole lemon sole lightly sauteed in lemon butter garnished with parsley and served with chips.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce32b3127ccebde670cacb110000002.jpg
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce32b3127ccebde78b1fab6d0000002.jpg
She was very on the fence about what to order, but she decided on this because it was the most expensive thing on the menu at 27$. :rotfl: She really enjoyed it. I tried a bite but I'm not a fan of lemon and she had squirted the stuff all over it. The 'chips' were perfectly cooked though.

My dad ordered; Serious Sirloin Steak - 10 oz sirloin topped with Irish whiskey glazed, drizzled with fresh basil oil. Served with mashed potatoes and topped with crispy fried onion strings.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce32b3127ccebde78a31ebdb0000002.jpg
I feel repetitive here. How many ways can I say we loved a dish? Well, he did. Yum. He ordered it medium, and it came perfect. :)

Before desserts I have to say something. You remember that big couch table I mentioned earlier? Well they sat a huge family next to us, mostly comprising of...teenagers. Here I'm going to show my hypocritical side. Those girls were loud. The whole family was loud actually. And they were sitting so close to us it really started to get to me by dessert time. I understand having a loud family (I happen to have one myself) but wow. And the teenagers were bouncing up and down on there seat, which happen to be connected to mine. So it made me go up and down too. Oh well, I didn't let it ruin my dinner.

DESSERTS! The good stuff.

I ordered the creme brulee pie thing. Which isn't on the menu anymore, sadly.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce32b3127ccebde79822ebc10000002.jpg
Yum yum yum. As you can already tell, I like creme brulee. It's surprisingly light, but also sweet and creamy. The crust went well with it. I wish I had some now instead of the little powdered sugar donuts I'm munching on. :guilty:

My momma ordered the dunbordy kiss.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce32b3127ccebde7846eeb830000002.jpg
I was too busy smearing creme brulee all over my face at this time, so I didn't try any of her mousse. She really liked it though, not too sweet.

My dad ordered the apple crisp.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce32b3127ccebde78058ebb70000002.jpg
I don't like cooked apple-y things, so I didn't try it. "Good" he tells me.

Our waiter was pretty good. I can't remember her name but she was as attentive as she could be under the circumstances. It was very busy at the time and we had to wait a bit for refills and our check, but it's understandable.

What was left of my entree...:rotfl:
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce32b3127ccebde788336ae80000002.jpg

All in all, we will definitely be visiting here again this September! I simply can't wait for our ADR here. Almost everything was fantastic (and next time I'll just be ordering a different appetizer; no biggie) and we could tell the quality was high.

We wobbled around PI for a little bit before taking the bus back to our resort. Like all other nights of our trip, we simply collapsed into our beds. Lots of heat, food, and fun.

Coming up next...Sci Fi Dine In, POP Food Court. How was our lunch at Sci Fi? Were we ignored by our waiter, or treated like royalty? You'll just have to wait and seeeeee.

Oh wow, that's great! I hope you have a great dinner there, wilma-bride. :goodvibes
Food at Kona looks great!!
Oooh, and it was!
More great reviews, thanks for sharing. I loved Raglan Road when we went last year. If they still do it, the appetizer we had was the pate and chutney and it was very tasty (if you like that sort of thing).

Laur's princess:
Thanks for the suggestion. I've been looking over the menu trying to figure out what I'll get in September for appetizer. That does sound great. :goodvibes
Thanks! Going to POP in April, can't wait!
Hope you have a fun trip! POP is a great resort.

So today was our MGM -cough- day! I was really looking forward to all the shows, and to see if I could come over my fear of TOT.

Anyways, we got to MGM (okay, DHS) at around 11 o'clock and were running a bit late. We grabbed a map and started looking for Sci Fi. I had been looking forward to eating here as it sounded like it had an awesome atmosphere. Once we finally found it (this place is really tucked away) we checked in at the reception area. They seated us immediately at a table near the back.

Wow. I love the atmosphere here. It really feels like it's night, and you're just sitting around at a drive-in. Our waiter was named Kevin (I think) and he seemed okay at first.

I went ahead and ordered a vanilla shake and water, and my parents got a diet coke and coke.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce32b3127ccebde798af6a7c0000002.jpg
It was pretty good. Just a basic vanilla shake. Cold, creamy and sweet.

For appetizers we got spinach and artichoke dip, and onion rings.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce32b3127ccebde79e91eb710000002.jpg
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce32b3127ccebde79d36ab4f0000002.jpg
The dip was pretty flavorless and the chips were kind of stale. We didn't eat very much of it at all. Oh...where should I start about the onion rings...

I know it's weird, but I love dipping onion rings into ranch dressing (call me a hick :upsidedow ) and these were kind of dry so they really needed it. We repeatedly asked Kevin for some but I don't think he even acknowledged that he heard us. Great, we have one of those waiters who thinks we're not worthy of service because we're on the free DDP. I finally just gave up and ate some of them dry.

My mom and dad split a hamburger. My dad likes mushrooms and my mom despises them so they said "Please put some mushrooms on the side."
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce32b3127ccebde790e96a3e0000002.jpg
Yeah. He brought out a hamburger with extra mushrooms, and mushrooms on the side. By this time my mom and I were getting cranky and ticked off at Kevin so she didn't even asked for it to be taken back (Believe me, she usually does in those situations). She thought she would just share with me instead. My dad did like this hamburger though.

I ordered the BBQ Chicken sandwich.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce32b3127ccebde791772a380000002.jpg
I don't know how to go about saying this without sounding to negative...
This was really dry and had almost no flavor. I picked at the fries and ate a couple bites of it. My mom took a bite and wasn't impressed at all so she just sat there and ate fries like me.

We only ordered one dessert and it was a hot fudge sundae. My mom ate most of it though. It was pretty good. A typical hot fudge sundae, but pretty good.

By this time we had just given up on Kevin. I don't know what his beef was. We usually tip extra if the service is decent, but no way were we going to do that here. Maybe he was just having a cranky day. :confused3

All in all, I was dissapointed. I had been so looking forward to this place, and the atmosphere was really neat. We do plan to go back here in September to enjoy the clips and decore. Maybe we just ordered wrong this time, but we're not going to be expecting great food. Hopefully we'll have a better waiter/waitress.

Well, on we go! After that we watched most of the shows, and mostly just walked around and enjoyed the decore of DHS. I really love the theming here. We had an ADR at 50's PrimeTime so we made our way over to that side.

Wow wow wow, this placed was jam-packed! We checked in and made our way to the sitting area...standing area. The decorations are so adorable, and again, I think the atmosphere is so cute. We stood there debating whether we should just leave or not. Yes. No. Yes. No. Maybe....Yes.

So my dad went and un-checked us out and all of us pushed our way towards the door. We had eaten there in 2001, and weren't really impressed then anyways. We decided to just go back to the resort and eat. The bus stops weren't very crowded at all (because everyone was at 50's. ;) ) and we got home pretty soon.

Everyone was starving at this point and there was no way we were sharing. I wondered around deciding what I wanted to eat and finally settled on chicken strips, fries, chocolate thing and a bottle of water. When I was a kid, I loved WDW chicken strips. It's practically the only thing I ate. Anyways, here they are.

Yum. I can imagine most of you know what these taste like. Crispy, hot and perfectly cooked. I can't quite remember what the dessert was called, chocolate tiramasu? Maybe? Anyways, I think I liked it.

My mom got a steak wrap, cheese fries and a brownie.

My mom says it tasted the same as it did the first day. Good flavour, and hot. The brownie was really sweet, and rich. I don't think she ate much of it.

My dad ordered a burger, fries and chocolate pudding.

:rotfl: Why yes, my dad is around 5 or 6 years old. :teeth: Burger, fries. I think you guys know what those taste like. He really liked the pudding, he didn't eat those gummy worms though. Blechhh. Gummy things. :scared:

We all enjoyed our dinner and then went to rest at the pool. Well...me and my mom rested. My dad did laundry. :goodvibes

Coming up next...Magic Kingdom day with lots of POP and dinner at Wolfgang Puck Express. Mmmmm, was the creme brulee as good this time? You'll just have to wait and seee.

Btw, the next two days might be boring because it's mostly comprised of places we've already eaten but I'll be posting them anyways. I'll be posting a lot of updates this week because I just finished my Business class though, so it won't be long til I get to more good stuff. Stay tuned!

Ok, you said you just finished your business class. Actually what she didn't tell is she is homeschooled and she just finished her last class. She now is waiting on her diploma and she is only 15 years old. She will turn 16 in March. I am so proud of her. She is planning on getting a job after her birthday since she has decided to take a year off of school.

Ok Jenny since you have more time, we want more reviews. Honestly I think we were all tired of table service and waiting for the reservations. It really was just too much food. But we can't wait to go back in September.

I can't stand to have my food touch either :rotfl: and to think I thought I was the only strange one around. Hehe. At least I am in good company...enjoying the review!

This was yet another Magic Kingdom day. We got up really early so decided to head over there for EMH. But first, FUEL!

I ordered a crossiant sandwich comprising of eggs, cheese and bacon.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce35b3127ccebd971f41e0690000002.jpg
Mm, this was surprisingly good. I was expecting some wimpy little thing like you get from Burger King, but this was big! I swear there was about an 1 1/2 of eggs on it. It also had a decent sized slab of cheddar, and a couple of bacon strips. It was hot and fresh because they had just made everything. Very good especially because I wasn't in a sweet pasty kinda mood.

My mom ordered a chocolate crossaint. One of her true loves.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce35b3127ccebd972b4a61480000002.jpg
Since I am running out of adjectives for "yummy". I'll just type in what my mom said when I asked her about it. She recalls the memory quite fondly..."Yum. Yummy Yum." Yep, that's what you get from this thread. Nice detailed reviews. ;)

My Dad got the breakfast plate.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce35b3127ccebd972fa461a40000002.jpg
It comes with scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes and a biscuit. He liked it well enough. Better than his omelet the first day. The potatoes were still party raw though.

EMH that morning was wonderful. Hardly anyone was there, and we rode Buzz Lightyear 5 times in a row. I'm so awful at that ride, but it was still so much fun! We also rode somethings in Fronteirland and Fantasyland.

Around noon the park was filling up and we were running out of gas anyways so we just went back to the resort. We weren't really hungry so we didn't get much food. I have pictures but they're all washed out and you can barely make out what they are, let alone see any food porny details.

Me and my mom got a burger and cheese fries. It was good and filling. We also ordered a yummy sundae to split. This time with 2 vanilla scoops and one chocolate. My dad got some chili fries, and said they were "Good."

After that we just napped a little, cleaned up and changed clothes, etc. All that good stuff. My DISer buddy (Eeyorefan1 - Jess) called and said she'd be at DTD that night so we decided to meet there.

When we got there we decided to eat at Wolfgang Puck Express since their creme brulee was so good.

This restaurant is a little weird. Their seating is outside and they actually serve you. But it's technically a counter service. The seating is pretty awful actually. The tables seemed dirty because of being outside, so of course I requested a server to clean it off first.

I ordered the Spicy BBQ Chicken sandwich and a diet coke. It came with chips.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce35b3127ccebd904f8d01680000002.jpg
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce35b3127ccebd904fc501200000003.jpg
When they say spicy, they mean spicy. Wow. The flavor was good under all those spicy tones though. They bread was yummy, soft and chewy. The chips were disgusting. Soggy and stale. I wish people would just stick to serving Lay's.

My mom wasn't very hungry so she just ordered some fries.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce35b3127ccebd905e8ac0cf0000002.jpg
They sure don't skimp on the fries, eh? Super crispy, hot and fresh. They also were very flavorful. Yummo!

My dad got...:confused3 I can't remember and it's not on the menu. Asian slaw something. It was served in a pita.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce35b3127ccebd9049e380350000002.jpg
He ate it and said it was good. Again, the chips are just gross.

Our desserts.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce35b3127ccebd905ad4c0930000002.jpg
Mmmm. Perfection. Just as before. But this time we were full so we couldn't eat as much! Sadly we just couldn't finish it all.

All in All, we'll be back here. I could tell the quality of everything was good, we just didn't order the best items. I'd also like to try the coveted Earl of Sandwich. There seems to be a lot of good eats to be found at DTD!

After that we roamed around DTD and had a great (but short) DIS meet. They were off to Earl Of Sandwich so we couldn't talk long, but it was nice none the less.

After buying some drinks at McDonalds (in DTD) we left and sauntered back to the resort. This was a great lazy day. :)

Coming up next....Not much. I wish I could say somethin' cool here like I usually do, but my upcoming reviews won't be anything extra-ordinary. Wanna hear about the great food and fun times anyways? Wait and seeee.

You seem like such a good kid. :)
Awww, thanks!
great job BP, really a great read, thanx for taking the time to report:goodvibes
No problem, I'm actually really enjoying doing this report!
first of all congrats on finishing up school:thumbsup2 I'm all caught up on your review and I am loving it! Very awesome! Earl of sandwich is very good! I want to go again so bad. We ate there the first night of our Christmas trip and I have been thinking about it ever since :rotfl: So, yes you should make it a point to try it out:) Wolf gang puck express looks good. I want to try that next time we are there. Someone told us to try it out, but it was after the fact of going to dtd and we didn't want to go back just to eat there because we had so much other stuff to fit in. Can't wait to hear more:)
Mmmmm, sandwiches :cloud9:

Magic Kingdom again today! Can you tell this is our favorite park?

Today it was deserted! Where was everyone? Well they weren't at Magic Kingdom, that's for sure. We were actually supposed to meet up with Eeyorefan1 at AK today but she called to say it was super crowded. Guess that's where everyone was.

Anyways, you guys want proof?

Oh gosh! I just realized I never showed y'all a picture of my family. I think it's a vital part of a dining review, and I forgot about it! Anyways, we look kinda funny here. I think my Dad was too busy digging into the dessert, can ya blame him? (This was at Kona, btw)

Enough of all that. Now let's get on to the good parts. We had lunch at Pecos Bills again today.
Me and my Mom shared a chicken wrap, fries and brownie.

Wonderful, once again. The chicken wrap here is like a hidden gem, not many people know how yummy it is. Cause let's face it, Pecos Bills isn't widely reviewed.

My dad got a BBQ Sandwich, Fries, Baked Beans and puddin'.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce35b3127ccebd91cfeaa0330000002.jpg
He liked it. Although it did have quite a bit of sauce on it. Of course this isn't a BBQ restaurant in Texas so judge accordingly. He really preffered the pudding over the brownie.

After having enjoying our day at Magic Kingdom, we went back to the resort for a late dinner.
Me and my mom shared a steak wrap, fries and a sundae.

Again, this was good. Everything was yummy. If you're staying at POP, go get one of these gorgeous sundaes. Go get one...now!

My dad got the parmesan crusted chicken, with salad and a breadstick. Plus a cupcake.

Yummm. This was big honkin' peice of chicken. Perfectly cooked! Juicy, moist, delicious.

Yep, we had just a pretty regular day. It was very relaxing since we didn't have to worry about any ADRs.

Coming up next...Lunch at Flame Tree BBQ and dinner at Hollywood and Vine. How will we fare there? Will our dinner be as bad as some of the recent reviews? Just wait and seeee.

Loving your reviews. I totally agree about the chicken wrap at Pecos Bills. DD and I split it a coupla times....easily enough for two!

According to my notes, this was September 28th. We were very surprised at how empty it was. This was also mid-morning, by the way. We didn't get out very early that day. But our whole trip most ride wait times were 20 minutes or less. Usually we just walked right on through. :goodvibes

The MK was empty because EVERYBODY was at EPCOT... I should know, because that's where I was Sept. 28! :rotfl: It was the first day of Food and Wine Festival, and I'd never been to it, so wanted to go before it got even more crowded the next day on the weekend. Wow! Thank you so much! I don't know about being a journalist, I always get super nervous if I'm trying to be witty and funny. I liked the thought of dining reviews because I could just write whatever came out of my head, and not worry about being funny. Other than that, I've always loved writing! :goodvibes

We don't have exact dates yet. We know right after labor day, so that's about mid-September. Maybe...12-27? Around then most likely. We'll wait and see what happens with free dining before booking, although we're going no matter what. Hope to see you there, I love meeting other DISers!

Today we went to Animal Kingdom. We got up not so early but didn't eat any breakfast as we knew we'd just eat somewhere at AK. We started in Dinoland where I had flashbacks of the state fair, and got dizzy on Primeval Whirl. When we passed Flame Tree we were already hungry and it smelled so good so that's where we stopped.

I got the BBQ (beef? pork?) sandwich with beans and onion rings. For dessert I got chocolate cake.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce35b3127ccebd930ca6212e0000002.jpg

The sandwich was pretty good but it was encased in a lot of barbeque sauce, it was a little overkill. The onion rings were huge, hot and crispy. Very good, and I love onion rings. The beans were...I have no idea. I can't remember them at all, so I guess they weren't too good or bad. The chocolate cake had a huge 2 inch layer of partly frozen icing on top of it. Eh, I only had one bite.

My dad and mom shared the chicken meal, with a side of onion rings. For dessert they picked key lime pie.http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce35b3127ccebd93f8d7a0150000002.jpg
They loved the chicken. I had a bite and it was very juicy with a nice smoky flavor. My dad says he really loved the beans. Btw, my mom almost choked on the pie, it was very very VERY tart.

All in all, will we be back? Maybe. They've been getting some awfully bad reviews lately, and it looks like they might have changed somethings. We would like to try a few other restaurants, so we might not be back for a few trips.

So after drowning at Kali River Rapids multiple times (that ride is so addicting!) we headed back to the room to rest and change clothes.

When we got there, we were a little hungry and wanted to use up some snack credits anyways. So we had a little snack.

I got hummus with bagel chips.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce32b3127ccebde70e6bebc30000002.jpg
I wasn't expecting much, I mean this was POP Century after all. They have good food but I was feeling they wouldn't be able to do hummus very well. Sadly, I was right. It was tasteless and just gross. I couldn't eat it, but hey, we did get rid of a snack credit!

Then we also got some nachos.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce32b3127ccebde709c92aca0000002.jpg
These were good. Processed cheese. Chips. Peppers. Normal 'nachos', nothing special or memorable.

We made our way back to the room and showered, changed clothes and napped for a bit. Then we were off to our dinner ADR at Hollywood and Vine.

Continued in next post...

(Note: My pictures are awful of this dinner and I can't quite make out what everything was. I'll just add them to the end of this post.)

We spent a little time watching Beauty and the Beast, and overcoming my fear of Tower of Terror. It started to rain so we just roamed through the shops while making our way towards H&V.

I was not excited for this dinner, we all know how many bad reviews of H&V there are on these boards. But, we were hungry and there was no place else to go, so we stuck with our ADR.

It was pretty packed because people were trying to eat here to get out of the rain. I'm not sure if they were taking walk ups or not. Well we checked in and in the time it took to make my way back out of the crowds, our table was ready. So we turned around a trudged back into the crowds.

We were seating off to the left in a cozy little spot near a window. We ordered our drinks (diet coke, diet coke and a coke) and went off to find some food.

The cold bar has green salad with a multitude of dressing, a variety of potato and pasta salad, cheese and some other things. The salad was fresh and cold, there was one pasta salad I remember really liking.

I got salmon again and it was very good. Moist, tender, not 'fishy' at all. The spoon bread was yummy. Moist, with little specks of corn kernels in it, it had a great texture and flavor. I ate lots of that. The mashed potatoes were just that. Mashed potatoes. Good but nothing amazing. There was this penne pasta that was tasty.

They had all kinds of different things for dessert. Chocolate mousse, cherry topped cheesecake, cookies and a variety of pastries. They also had a soft serve ice cream machine that oozed yummy delight. I'm picky about ice cream and especially about soft serve, but this was the perfect texture. The cheesecake was my favorite once I scraped off the icky cherry sauce (not a fan of cherries.) and the mousse was also good. Rich but not overly sweet.

All in all, will we be back? With the dining plan, yes. We did enjoy our dinner but it wasn't special enough to pay OOP. So despite all the bad reviews, we had a yummy dinner. I'm not even a big buffet eater.

We debated a little about seeing Fantasmic but in the end we were just too tired. We never did make it to see the show (perfect reason to go back :) ). The bus stops were PACKED but we didn't wait that long to get a bus. So, like all other nights we melted into the beds and drifted off into wonderful dreams.

Coming up next...a day at Typhoon Lagoon and evening at MNSSHP w/ Crystal Palace. Buffet overkill? Joyous dinner? We'll just have to wait and seee.

love the reviews. I've never ate at h&v so thanks for the review. I think we got a bit of a buffet overload on our last trip. We ate at boma, cp and 1900 park faire. Luckily cp was for breakfast because that broke it up a little bit since the other two were dinners. I wasn't overly impressed with much of the food on our trip. It all seemed so much yummier the first time around. Maybe my expectations were to high? Did you find this to be true of your experiences? Can't wait to hear more and bummer about Fantasmic...we have to see it at least twice while we are there. :goodvibes Its my fave!

Yes. I really was expecting this out of this world fare. Amazing, spectacular new flavors. While a lot of my food was delicious and yummy, it was all mostly things I'd have no problem making myself. Maybe we didn't eat at the right restaurants? But overall, we really did enjoy most of our meals.

It was no problem just having yummy food (and not amazing food) because we're pretty simple people when it comes to food. :goodvibes

Today was MNSSHP day so we just planned on resting before the party. We decided to go have a leisurly couple of hours at Typhoon Lagoon. It didn't seem crowded at all, which was great. After picking up some refillable mugs, we got lost a couple times looking for a place to set up and the entrance to the Lazy River.

Lemme tell ya, it is very relaxing. We all floating around the lazy river a couple times before going back to the 'beach'. My parents went off to roam and I just laid in the sand in my swimsuit and listened to the Beach Boys music that was coming out of the speakers nearby. Perfect thing to do in the middle of a Disney vacation.

Then we packed up everything in the tote bag and headed off to find some grub. The closest place was Leaning Palms and since we didn't want to get lost again, we stopped here. It only has outdoor picnic tables, but at least they were covered. I went to fill up the mugs again, and find a place to eat. Ducks were everywhere!

(No pictures btw)

My mom got a burger and fries for her and me to split. They were decent, normal ol' Disney burgers. Sadly, they don't have any toppings for these suckers, so we just loaded it with mayo. My dad also got a burger and fries. We all agreed that the fries weren't as good here as they are at other places.

We got some mickey bars for dessert, and thankfully you can pick these up after eating so they won't melt! Yummmm, mickey bars. I really appreciate that they have a thicker coating of chocolate than most ice cream bars. Plus, they're shaped like mickey! How can you go wrong?

After that we just left. Yep, didn't spend much time here, but it really relaxed all of us.

We all showered, changed clothes and took a small nap. Around 3:30 we were off once again!

Surprisingly, Magic Kingdom didn't seem crowded at all. We had a bit of time before our ressie so we just sat at the benches near that cute little hat shop. We also had a nice conversation with a British woman.

It was nearing our ADR time so we walked down MainStreet towards the restaurant. Gosh, I love just walking around MK. It's the best feeling in the world. Well, enough of that.

We checked in and got a little seat on the patio while we waited for them to call our name. It was filling up pretty quickly with all kinds of cute families in their costumes. We weren't creative enough to come up with costume ideas, but really had fun looking at other peoples!

About 10-15 minutes later our name was called and we were lead through the crowded restaurant. I did expect it to be packed because of MNSSHP, so thankfully it wasn't a surprise. We were seating to the back left near a window. I honestly don't remember our server's name, but from what I remember she was alright.

I have pictures but they're completely washed out and useless. I swear next time I'm going to take better photos! These reviews are going to be repetitive of last nights. Most Disney buffets have the same dishes.

The cold bar was typical. Salads and cheeses. Nothing memorable. I got some pasta, salmon, spoon bread and chicken nuggets. I was excited for the spoon bread because just last night it was so great. But this was pretty bad. I tried really hard to like it, but I just didn't. The texture was way different and the taste was off.

Desserts were also forgettable. I remember liking the icecream because I got two little bowls.

I was also feeling a little anxious because tonight I was spending the evening with Eeyorefan1 and had planned a big DIS meet. I was very distracted which made for a bit of an uncomfortable experience.

As for the characters, I always get nervous around them! Basically, I just stood up and gave the character a hug, my mom snapped a picture, we smiled and then off goes the character. We mainly wanted a picture with Piglet because my mom loves little piggies and her office is actually decorated in her collection of piggies. The picture came out okay, but we have yet to get it printed. :confused3

While my parents were off getting some food, Tigger stopped by. He gave me a little sad look about not being able to get pictures, it was funny. We hugged and he played around with me for a little bit. It was probably my best character experience.

All in all, will we be back? Probably not. There was nothing particularly wrong with it, but it just wasn't memorable and we'd like to try other places.

After meeting with Jess (Eeyorefan1) we seperated from our families and had fun just riding the different rides and such. All the rides seemed deserted! We met back up with her family and then I went with them while they ate at Cosmic Ray's. Wow, it was like a wasteland in there! Absolutely nobody was eating here! I just got a diet coke but they all seemed to enjoy their food.

I had planned a big DIS meet but we wanted to do a few other things so my mom met all the DISers first. Anyways, these people are just spectacular. Among them are macraven, MaggieMouse, Racheltori, Daisy14, and a whole bunch of other great Disney lovers! Someone even gave out these cute little orange and black bracelets (which I still have by the way. It's on my dresser) and some other people handed out glowy things. :goodvibes

I can't wait to plan another one for this year!

Let me tell ya, this night was FUN! If anyone is speculating whether or not to do MNSSHP, stop speculating. DO IT! Hallowishes was amazing.

We left when the party closed around midnight, but weren't too sad because we had planned to go to another MNSSHP the last night of our trip. Hmm, I wonder if we ever made it there?

Coming up next...'Brunch' at POP, Snacks at Disney Quest and dinner at Cap N' Jacks. Most delicious thing I've ever eaten? Gag-worthy? Both? Just wait and seeee.

I have been waffling over going to MNSSHP or not but that's it! We're going! We want to do the Crystal before the party, just like you did! Loving your reviews and hope that you'll be going back soon so when this thread is done we'll have another to look forward to!
We're going 9/27-10/4 so we might even run into you at some point.

I am looking forward to your review of Capt Jack's. We are thinking of dining there but there doesn't look like a big selection on the dinner menu.

Nice reviews Baby Piglet! I never did get around to doing a trip review or a dining review. We have reservations to go back September 27th to October
5th for free dining but I don't know if it's going to be in the budget. I'm not giving up the reservation until I absolutely have to though. BTW, I gave out those black and orange bracelets and it makes me smile to think that you still have yours.

It sounds like you had a great day and MNSSHP was lots of fun for you and all the DISers. I love CP!!! I only ever go for breakfast though...maybe you guys should try that sometime? Like I said having dinner at buffets more than one or two times in your trip can get old pretty fast. I can't wait to hear more. :goodvibes Your reviews are awesome!:thumbsup2

That helps me mark CP off my list. Thank you!

I had the opposite experience at MNSSHP. I was there the last Friday in Sept. 2006 and the party was sold out. HUGE crowds...the biggest we saw the entire time we were there. They were also very stingy with the candy due to the big crowds. My kids all got way less than half a bag...one or two pieces at each stop.

Fortunately, Disney must've heard the grumbling and added a second party that same weekend in 2007....and you attended the right one....Sunday. Good job!

Your DIS meet looks like fun! Did you see Utahmama? She was at MNSSHP that night too!

I thought it was you but didn't want to mix peoples names up! Oh yes, I wore that bracelet all the rest of my trip and even after I got home. I will definitely be keeping it, it's a memory of good times!

Btw, I hope you get to go. Then maybe we can all organize another meet. I hear macraven's gonna be there.

We did! I can't believe I forgot to mention it. Me and Jess saw her and her family at Haunted Mansion while we were boarding. Her son had this mask on and was staring at me purposely to give me the creeps. :p I saw her green bag and knew I just had to say something to her, I LOVE her trip report! Anyways, we talked during the line and then when the ride stopped (in Leota's room) we talked some more as were in doombuggies next to each other. She's such a sweetie!

Btw, I'm sorry you didn't have a fun time at MNSSHP. :(

This day is extremely hazy! My notes are non exsistant, and I got very few pictures (besides the food.) Some of this is purely speculation, and I wish I could remember more.

Apparently, we had a early lunch/late breakfast today. Since we had such a late night last night, this is believable.

We woke up and debated where to go, and we finally decided to just go with our plans and have a day at DTD ending with Cap N' Jacks.

We were pretty hungry and it was right at that time between breakfast and lunch. So our food is going to differ slightly. My dad wanted breakfast so he went in that direction, but my mom and I weren't groovin' that way. We wanted some real food and the only station that was open was 'italian' so that's what we o'pted for.

Apparently I got a pizza because that's my old cell phone in the background. I have a fuzzy memory of this, so I s'pose it's true. W/ a chocolate crossaint.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce34b3127ccebd8975efb8d90000002.jpg
I know lots of people despise the stuff, but it was alright. Nothing delicious like you can get from your local pizza joint, but it wasn't despicable. It was good, as long as you're not being too picky about things. Do I even need to review that delicious crossaint anymore? :lovestruc

My mom got the parmesan crusted chicken with penna and alfredo. W/ a cinnamon roll.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce34b3127ccebd8a8a5d19680000002.jpg
Mmm, the chicken was even better now that it had cheesy goodness all over it! This is one of the things that really surprised me all trip. A huge, juicy real chicken peice. The sauce was good and very parmesan-y. The breadstick was useless carbs. But the cinnamon roll wasn't! I've had much better but it was good as far as cinnamon rolls go.

My dad is a real breakfast kinda person. He got the pancake platter.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce34b3127ccebd8a80f598f50000002.jpg
He says they taste like those frozen pancakes (they probably are). I'm guessing more useless carbs again. The bacon looks raw. :scared:

Anyways after that we headed off to play in Disney Quest for a bit. It left a lot to be desired in our opinion, but none of us our real big video game players. We decided to have a snack while we were there though. Mmm, Cheesecake Factory!

I had a big honkin' peice of vanilla bean cheesecake. It had lots of whipped cream on it that was dotted with goegeous vanillabean speckles. Probably the best peice of cheesecake I've ever had. The cheesecake part was dense and creamy which paired well with the light and fluffy cream. It was HUGE though so I could only eat around half. I know I have pictures somewhere but I can't find them.

My dad got an apple crisp thing which he said wasn't very good. Cold and kind of stale.

My mom didn't want dessert so she o'pted for cheese fries instead.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/0000000.jpg
In my opinion the cheese on them wasn't as good as Disney's but they were still good. I mean, what can be wrong with cheesefries? Except the ginourmous amount of calories, of course.

All in all, will we be back? Since we're buying annual passes that won't come with admission to DQ, then I'll say no. The CheeseCake Factory isn't worth paying extra to get admission to, and we just didn't enjoy DQ that much. I really wish we had one of these restaurants around us though!

After that we decided we were done with DQ and headed over to the Marketplace instead. We just got there when my mom decided she needed to use the bathroom so she ran off that way and we sat on a bench. I looked around the pearl stand decided that I just had to have one and would tell my mom about it when she got back. Well...she didn't.

She was taking quite a long time so I went searching for her. I found her at the DVC booth of all places! (Note: We had passed these booths during the whole trip and she never batted an eye as she walked by them.) I was excited because I was very interested in buying DVC. She seemed very interested and the guy was setting up our little DVC sales pitch. We rode over on our 'special transportation' (aka a golfcart.) to the SSR and enjoyed our little meeting with the DVC sales associate. I personally love the plan and think the rooms are gorgeous but my mom... She thinks we should wait or just keep staying at other resorts. Oh well, we did enjoy those free fastpasses for the next couple days though. ;)

Anyways after we finally got done with that it was time for our ADR. Unfortunately, it started pouring right as we got back to the Marketplace and we had to make a mad dash towards Cap N' Jacks without injuring ourselves in anyway. Thankfully we made it, untouched, except for the damage from a few raindrops.

We checked in and didn't wait 2 minutes before they were ready and leading us back to our table. We got a really nice table in front of a huge window so we got to people watch while waiting on our food. Speaking of food...

I ordered the crab cakes as the appetizer.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce34b3127ccebd8aadbbd8350000002.jpg
These were good. Lots of crab and the sauce went with it beautifully. I'm not a big slaw eater but that part was pretty good too, slightly sweet.

My mom got the shrimp cocktail.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce34b3127ccebd8aa7f6d87d0000002.jpg
The presentation was lacking, but I guess how many ways can you dress up cold shrimp and cocktail sauce? Anyways, she thought it was good. We're all big shrimp lovers.

My dad got clam chowdaaaa.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce34b3127ccebd8aac6419420000002.jpg
This was good! I remember tasting it, it was yummy. My mom even liked it and she's not a clam chowder fan.

As for entrees, my mom wasn't hungry so she ordered knowing she'd just give her lobster to my dad and eat a couple bites of my pasta and the sides.

I ordered the shrimp pasta with lobster sauce.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce34b3127ccebd8ab8fe19d20000002.jpg
The shrimp were lukewarm and tasteless. The sauce was full of flavor, just not good flavor. I can't pinpoint what it was, but it just wasn't tasty. I ate the shrimp, two bites of the pasta and left it at that. My mom felt the same way.

So my dad was left with four lobster tails...
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce34b3127ccebd8ab8c798db0000002.jpg
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce34b3127ccebd8abf5ad8dd0000002.jpg
He said they were wonderful! I'm not a lobster expert so I can't tell you, but they did taste like what I thought lobster should taste like. He ate all four with no qualms.

I got the cheesecake with berry drizzle for dessert.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce34b3127ccebd8ac1f6597e0000002.jpg
Okay okay, I know I already had cheesecake once today. But by then I was regretting not eating the whole peice earlier because I was still in a cheesecake mood. This was delish. The berry sauce was super sweet, but I still thought it was yum. Even though I'm not a fan of cooked fruit things. The cheesecake had a great texture, it was more fluffy than dense and creamy.

My mom got the chocolate cake.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce34b3127ccebd8ac71959920000002.jpg
She liked it but it was nothing amazing. Just chocolate cake and icecream.

My dad ordered the key lime pie.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce34b3127ccebd8ac3bcd8050000002.jpg
This was much better than the one at Flame Tree and my mom even sorta kinda liked it. But of course it was tart so I didn't try it. I despise sour/tart/bitter things and always have. I was always the kid at school who didn't want to eat her friends sour gummy worms.

Haha, I just realized something. Looks like that berry sauce has a lot of different uses.

Our server was an older lady if I remember correctly. She was attentive, but not memorable. I actually can't remember much about her at all, so she must not have been overly impressive or disasterous.

All in all, will we be back? Yep. Me and my mom weren't thoroughly impressed but my dad loved it so we're going just for him. I won't tell people not to go here, but I'm not going to suggest it either. I hope the ones of you debating on this restaurant can decide on how your family would like it from my reviews. I know everyone's tastes are different.

We didn't do much afterwards, just roamed the shops a little. Actually, I vaguely remember us eating again. But I have no notes, no pictures, no proof of it. And if we did, it was just at the good ol' foodcourt. Nothin' my faithful readers haven't heard reviewed before.

Coming up next...Le Cellier and the French Bakery! Will they live up to the high standards of the DIS? Will they offend us and fail miserably? Well, you'll just have to wait and seeee.

Hurray for another update. I haven't eaten at a lot of these places you are reviewing so its good to know which ones are good and which ones are bad in your eyes. I'm a fairly simple food person myself so if you don't like a place I am assuming I wouldn't either just because you seem to have the same sort of tastes I do. So thanks for giving us the heads up! :goodvibes

Wow! Just read your entire food report. So glad I did :goodvibes. Especially since you're my age, it just makes it more enjoyable! Now I'm headed over to your TR to get started on that. I wish my trip dates were around yours for September, it seems like it would be so much fun to hang out with you! But sadly, my family and I are planning for November. But since you're becoming annual pass holders, who knows, maybe a November trip might be in the works :rotfl:. Can't wait to read more! :thumbsup2

For the last couple years Disney has offered the free dining plan for August and September. The announcement comes out in April, and you just call and book your trip for the dates it's being offered. You just get the Disney Dining Plan for free, it's wonderful! Oh, but you do have to pay rack rate for your rooms.

Enjoying your reviews so far - what a shame about Chef Mickeys. My DS really wants to eat with Mickey on our next trip so I guess we'll just have to hope for a better experience.

I vaguely remember us eating some before Le Cellier, but again, I have no proof of this.

Today was another Epcot day and we planned to see a lot. Which was made practically impossible by how crowded it was. That darn Food and Wine Festival made Epcot fill up like crazy. Normally, I'd love little booths filled with all kinds of food, but we were on DDP. It's just incredibly hard to be hungry for all those little bites when you've already eaten 2 meals.

Anyways, I was so excited. We were eating at Le Cellier today!!!

I love the landscaping of this restaurant, who doesn't? For those of you who have been so unlucky to not see it, here's a picture.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce34b3127ccebd8ae30159980000002.jpg
Don't mind my gorgeous self intruding into the shot. :)

We checked in about 2:00 and waited around 15 minutes. Sitting next to us was a mother and daughter who had parked their wheelchair next to the window. The girl (10-11?) was jumping around, being figetty. Like a normal kid. Just as the hostess came to take them to their table, the girl preceded to fall back onto the bench and her mom loaded her into the wheelchair, and wheeled her to the table. I was a bit weirded out, but reserved judgement because you just never know. A little while later we saw them walking around the park, the girl in the wheelchair swinging her legs and jigglin' around. Ugh, I can't reserve judgement anymore. That's the reason people are so fed up with ECV's and wheelchairs!

We also saw a women in a blue mickey shirt (the kind you buy from disneyshopping.com) trying to figure out her ADR's.

ANYWAYS, sorry for jumping around. The hostess seated us back against a wall. It was a nice, comfy seat. Our server came (a women, I can't remember her name) and she brought us our drinks and breadsticks. She was pretty good, but not amazing.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce34b3127ccebd8ae21d191c0000002.jpg
I chomped down on delicious pretzel bread as we browsed the appetizers. The other two were just alright.

I finally decided on THE cheese soup.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce34b3127ccebd8a0ad8989d0000002.jpg
I put my hand there so you could understand the size of the bowl. It's not as big as the pictures make it seem, but there was still plenty. It was pretty good, but thicker than I liked soup. It was JOYOUS as a dip for the pretzel bread.

My mom ordered the salad with pecans and other stuff.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce34b3127ccebd8a0b6559880000002.jpg
She really enjoyed it, but it's humongous. I tried a bite and it seemed fresh and tasty.

My dad got Duck Two Ways.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce34b3127ccebd8a0ad319a60000002.jpg
He enjoyed it, but my mom almost puked at the thought. Just so you know, we had been feeding and playing with the ducks the whole time we were there. There was loads outside our room door, and we said hi to them every morning. Like they were pets.

I already knew what I was ordering, the filet. I was shocked, yes shocked, to see the menu change. It now came with cherry reduction and sweet potato/white potato mash. I was hesitant, but decided on it anyways.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce34b3127ccebd8a0ff759180000002.jpg
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce34b3127ccebd8a009998d90000002.jpg
I got the cherry reduction on the side, you guys already know I'm not a fan of cooked fruit things. Anyways, this was delicious! I know a lot of people are complaining about not having the cream cheese mashed potatoes all the time, but that mash was very good. The sauce was slighty sweet and fruity, and paired very well with the sweet mashed potatoes. The steak was perfectly done, and there was no knife necassary!

My mom and dad both for the new york strip.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce34b3127ccebd8a020e984f0000002.jpg
My mom is not a big steak eater, but she loved this. She proclaims it 'the best steak I've ever had in all of my 42 years on this Earth'. But next time she's ordering it with mashed potatoes, even though she did like the roasted ones. My dad liked it as well, but he doesn't say much.

My mom and I already knew we were ordering creme brulee.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce34b3127ccebd8a1a1519680000002.jpg
We could've done without the jelly blob, but it was still fantastic. It was served in a deep bowl and there was a lot, I couldn't finish it all. My favorite part is the sides, that's where it's not as crusty. Mmmmm.

My dad, who is very young at heart, just had to order the moose when we told him how it was presented.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce34b3127ccebd8a051059fa0000002.jpg
It was tasty and my mom loved it, but we mostly just loved the presentation.

All in all, will we be back? We really enjoyed our meal. My mom and dad say this is their favorite, and this is my second favorite. (Raglan Road #1) We WILL be back. No doubt about it, no question what so ever.

After touring the World Showcase and running around in the rain, we stopped to get a snack before IllumiNations. I had drooled over pictures of the Napolean from months and months, I KNEW we had to stop here for dessert. I wasn't super hungry, but I still had to try it. So I ordered one of those, and my dad ordered a little crossaint sandwich (he was hungry) which they warmed up for him.

It was so crowded in here, but we finally managed to find a seat. The Napolean is pastry layered with a creamy vanilla custard type stuff. I love pastry, I love custard and I love this. Well, almost love. It would've been SO much better if we weren't cranky and I had been hungrier. My dad said his sandwich was okay, but again, we were all a bit cranky from being so tired and it was raining.

All in all, will we be back? Yep. I plan to go try the pastries again this fall.

After watching IllumiNations we sat on a bench and watched all the people falling over themselves trying to get out. After it had died down a bit we finally made our way out, although the bus stops were still packed. Like all the other nights, once we got home we all fell straight asleep.

Coming up next...Electric Umbrella and Rainforest Cafe. Will we be attacked my monkeys and elephants? You'll be surprised when you find out. Jut wait and seeee.

Shameless plug: If you wanna know what happens during the non-meal parts of our trip. Check out my trip report, you can find a link in my signature. Grab your fannypacks, we're headed to Disney!

Mini Update!

I was looking through my bag of receipts (yes, we stuffed them all in a bag.) and discovered the names of some of our servers.

Chef Mickey's - Thea. (Not sure if I already mentioned that one.
Kona Cafe - Angela. She was incredible!
Hollywood and Vine - Mary
Cap N' Jacks - Janice

Sci Fi Dine In - Ken, not Kevin. I mentioned the name Kevin a lot in that review, but it's actually Ken.

Rainforest Cafe - Chris.

I am now putting my two cents in. LeCellier (or the Canadain restaurant as I call it) was the BEST. All I can say is YUM!!! Like Jenny said, I am not a big fan of steak, but that one melted in my mouth. I want another one. The salad good too, but next time I would skip the salad and save room for the steak. Jenny mentioned she did not finish her Creme Brulee, don't worry we didn't waste it. I ate hers too.

Like Jenny said not sure if we ate breakfast, I don't think we were hungry the whole trip. We ate so much it seemed like. We were always eating something. That evening after Epcot we went back to the resort and I got a pizza and Jenny got macroni and cheese kids meal.

Jenny I am loving reliving our trip through your reviews. Can't wait for more.

JENNNNYYYYYY!!!!!

Why are you doing this to me? Torment by Disney food?!?! AHHHH!!! Can't WAIT to go back now!!

1) I'm one of those "food-can't-touch-each-other" people too! (my parents think I'm weird!)

2) I'm a pretty picky eater, lol.

3) EXCELLENT reviews!! We're eating at only a few of the places that you did (i.e. CP for dinner, Italy restaurant for dinner, O'hana for breakfast, Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner, Mama Melrose's for dinner, and I believe Japan restaurant for dinner, along with the counter services. We're DEFINATELY going back to the Columbia Harbour House in MK, that was HUGE and DELICIOUS! :cloud9: )

I'll be hopping about this, as well as your TR.

p.s. off-topic...is anyone going to WDW August 15-21? See ya there!

I already knew what I was ordering, the filet. I was shocked, yes shocked, to see the menu change. It now came with cherry reduction and sweet potato/white potato mash. I was hesitant, but decided on it anyways.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce34b3127ccebd8a0ff759180000002.jpg

GASP! I was unaware of the mashed-potato change. No cream cheese mashed potatoes w/ the filet?? :headache: How can this be?

Thanks for all of the reviews!

Only sometimes, and mostly only at lunch. It's very sporadic at when they serve the sweet potatoes/cherry reduction and when they serve the cream cheese mashed potatoes/roasted garlic demi glace.

The server said it just depends on how the chefs feel that day on what they serve. :)

Free dining is for late August to late September. The offer comes out in April and you have to book then with a package at rack room rates. It's exactly like the DDP. You still get 1 CS, 1TS, and 1 snack.

Even though we had a late Epcot night the evening before, we still felt like hadn't seen everything. So we headed over there to finish as much up as we could. We were hungry by the time we got there, so we stopped at Electric Umbrella.

Me and my mom ordered a burger, fries, and a cheesecake.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce32b3127ccebde73ae06a620000002.jpg
I didn't take a picture of the burger. Anyways, it was hot and fresh. Tasty, just like all the other burgers we ate a Disney. No better, no worse. I'm so glad the sauce came on the side for the cheesecake. Anyways, I swear Disney has the best cheesecake, every one of them I had was delicious.

My dad got a burger, fries and fruitcup.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce32b3127ccebde727dc2ac80000002.jpg
He didn't want the fruit so I ate some of it. It was all cold, fresh and nice and sweet. I really loved the grapes.

All in all, will we be back? I'm not sure. Maybe in a couple trips from now, but I'd rathar focus on all the yummy CS places in the WS.

We finished everything at Epcot rathar quickly, so headed over to AK to finish that up also.

Animal Kingdom is so hot and makes me really cranky! So about halfway during our little trip there, I was completely exhausted and wanted to leave. My mom suggested we just sit down and have dinner at RFC to cool off and rest up a bit. I loved RFC last time we were there so I was up for it.

We ordered the big appetizer platter to start.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce32b3127ccebde7595cab470000002.jpg
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce32b3127ccebde75e0feb8f0000002.jpg
Yum, this was good. It has calamari with marinara, chicken tenders with honey mustard, cheesy crab dip with chips and spicy chicken rolls. I really loved the calamari, it was tender not chewy. The crab dip could've been a little more flavorful but it was tasty. Everything was enjoyable.

Then my mom and I split the spicy BBQ chicken wrap.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce32b3127ccebde75791ab8d0000002.jpg
This was good, but I was so incredibly full by this point I only ate a couple bites. The chicken was tender.

My dad got the ribs.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/47b7ce32b3127ccebde755fb2ad60000002.jpg
Oh these were heaven! I wish I was hungrier so I could've tasted more of them, they were delicious. The sauce was sweet and a tad spicy and the meat was ridiculously tender.

Absolutely no dessert, I already had a huge tummy ache.

All in all, will we be back? Yes, most definitely. We enjoyed it, and it was nice and simple for people like me.

We went back into the park after that and I felt much better. That night when we got back to the hotel I believe we ate some sundaes but I didn't take any pictures. They were amazing, as usual.

Coming up next...POP Pinnochio POP! Will it be pleasent or pitiful? Palatable or putrid? We'll just have to wait and seeee.

They were really good DH and I had the cobb and oldest DD has the chicken caesar. The salads were HUGE, I wish I could have eaten more because it was yummy. DH is a big eater and he and I could have easily split one and DD barely made a dent in hers. So if you go for a salad next time you and your mom can easily split one.

It's very easy to find. There's this little dessert counter with cheesecake, brownies, cake, etc. They also serve icecream sundaes, milkshakes. It's pretty much in front of the pathway from the foodcourt to giftshop.

If you come in through the flower pool entrance it to the far far left.

Today was our second to last day. :( We weren't sad though, not yet at least.

Anyways, we walked down to the foodcourt after getting dressed to get some breakfast. After my tasty fruitbowl yesterday, I was in the mood for grapes...

I got a crossaint sandwich with sausage.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/0.jpg
(At the end of our trip I kept forgetting to take pictures.) Anyways, this was huge and tasty. Same as before. It went great with the sweet, refreshing grapes (nice contrast.) I'm convinced Florida has the best fruit, whenever I buy grapes around here they're so sour!

My mom got a chocolate crossaint.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/000.jpg
*drools* Y'all know what this is, right? Fudgy chocolate wrapped in warm, flaky pastry. Sprinkled with extra chocolate chips, and dusted with powdered sugar.

My dad got the breakfast platter again.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/0000.jpg
This was very similiar to all his other breakfast platters.

Around noon at MK we were getting VERY hungry. We knew it was bad to go eat at this time, but we couldn't help it. We wanted food! So we stopped at Pinnochio's to see what they're ultra-famour figaro fries are all about.

We ordered a turkey panini (came with fries and a cannoli) and some figaro fries. My dad munched on popcorn while we ate.

OHMYGOD, this place was extremely packed. My mom went to stand in line while me and my dad scrounged for a table. Luckily, we finally found one after some hard work and clever thinking. I went to help my mom gathar the food.

When we got it the food was really cold, and we're all very picky about cold food so my mom took it back and asked for replacements. Finally, some hot steamy yummy looking food came out!
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/00000.jpg
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/00000000.jpg
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/000000.jpg
The turkey panini wasn't spectacular, but it was good. I might eat it again if I was craving a turkey grilled cheese. The figaro fries were yummy, but very hard to eat! They weren't amazing, as I could make them very easily here at home but they were satisfying. I didn't try to canoli as I had a bit of a tummy ache, but my mom liked it.

All in all, will we be back? Yes, but next time we'll probably get pizza and go at an off time so we can sit near the window and watch IASW.

After a fun day at Magic Kingdom, we decided to just come home and eat.
I got a chili dog and sundae.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/000000000.jpg
It was tasty and comforting. I'm actually not a huge fan of just boiled dogs, but this actually hit the spot. The fries were great, as usual.

My mom got a steakwrap.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/0000000000.jpg
(It's all wrapped up in that picture.) Same as before. It's shaved beef with onion and pepper all wrapped up in a tortilla with a good dose of white cheese.

My dad got a burger (no picture) and it was just as good as usual.
For dessert I believe we also had a couple big cookies, I actually like my cookies small but these were good. Lots of vanilla, which I love. The sundae was creamy, cold and sweet.

Today was so relaxing. Although I do like table services, this day was so relaxing because we weren't chasing any down. We just ate when we got hungry, and ate what we were craving at the time.

Coming up next...Last day and we gotta use up all those credits! We stuff ourselves full of Pecos Bills, Cosmic Rays and more POP Century. But this time we have guests! Who will they be, and what is it like eating in the 'future'? You'll just have to wait and seeeee.

I liked electric umbrella because I don't eat burgers much at disney because I know I'll get sick of them, but the few times I wanted one...that hit the spot for me, but yes I do agree there are better cs places to eat. So we ate A LOT today. Get ready! (I have very little pictures.)

My mom had made friends with a British family and we took them under our wings for the last day and toured MK with them. But first, I made my dad run down and get me some chow!

Chocolate crossaint and grapes.

http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/0-1.jpg
Ironic breakfast, huh? No need to explain, everything was just tasty.

All morning we showed this family around Magic Kingdom and showed them how to do it right! At lunch time we were hungry and of course we had to show them our favorite place. Pecos Bills!

And of course we told them to order chicken wraps.
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/0-3.jpg
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/Lambchop452/disney/0-4.jpg

They loved them but were shocked at the size, who isn't!? The dad of that family ate 3-4 of the peanut butter brownies, he LOVED them!

The rest of that day we just had fun showing them Fantasyland, Toontown, Tomorrowland, all that good stuff. Tonight was supposed to be our 2nd MNSSHP and they were just going to leave around 5PM. We decided to get some chow at Cosmic Rays. This meal is a tad blurry because...I hate to say it...I was sort of crying. It was raining terribly and this was our last day. I was completely exhausted and was having a battle with myself over wanting to go back to the hotel and spend the night at MK. Anyways I think everyone basically ate burgers and they were all yummy. I especially loved the chocolate cake. YUM!

Since it started thundering and lightning we regrettably decided to skip the party and see if we could get our money back. Luckily we could and we just left. Yep. No more Magic Kingdom. :( I cried on the way to the bus stop.

When we got to the hotel I was BEAT but we stopped to buy something with snack credits from the gift shop and finish souveneir shopping. Then on the way out we met back up with the family and decided to meet back up at 10 o'clock to use up all our credits and just chat.

I went back to the room and showered, changed clothes and slipped into a coma on the bed. My parents sat outside chatting with our friends and just soaking in the last of the Disney magic.

At 10:30 I got a call to come down to the foodcourt and meet up with everyone. I sat partially unconcious on the bench talking to the little boy and everyone else went to do some damage. We got a LOT of stuff. From what I can remember...

2 hot dogs
A couple Burgers
Humongous large pizza
Cookies
Cupcakes

All of us couldn't even make a dent in this but we tried anyways. I think I ate a hot dog. None of us were really hungry at all though. The pizza was okay, reminded me of Papa Johns or something other commercial pizza maker.

I went back and collapsed right into the bed while my parents packed everything. Our flight was at 6 AM and we had to leave at around 2. I was so sad when I woke up. Everything was in the luggage and the room seemed so empty. As we walked out to catch the ME bus, I lost the magic. We weren't at Disney anymore, we were going home. I cried AGAIN in the bus and wanted to cry at the airport. :sad1:

We made it to our airport fine and when we got home my Grandma made us breakfast sandwiches. But I don't think you want a review of those. :upsidedow

So, that's it. I'd love to answer any and all of your questions! It has been so much fun writing this review, you guys are awesome and so friendly. I gotta stop being sad though, cause I have a TR to finish writing! I especially have to stop being sad seeing as we're going again in September, December, possibly February and for the Flower festival! :rotfl:

Thanks guys, it's been great. :goodvibes

Great Report Jenny

I loved the report, I can read it and relive our trip thru your eyes. Basically, I thought our best meal was LaCallier, (can't wait for another one of those steaks). But we really enjoyed Rainforest Cafe, Kona and several of the counter services. I do like those chicken wraps. But those Steak wraps at Pop Century were good too. Oh I can't decide which I liked the most. My favorite dessert was the creme brulee (I could use a bowl right now.) chocolate crossants and sharing the ice cream sundeas.
The one thing I did miss was a good salad, I like iceburg lettuce. Don't think we ate many salads. I would not say we would not go back to any of the places we ate. But not rushing back to Chef Mickey's (dinner) or Capt Jacks. DH will have to pay for the lobster at Rainforest Cafe. Like Jenny, said, We felt like we were eating all the time and don't think we ever got what you call hungry. We wasted a lot of the snacks, due to me being hard headed thinking we will want a snack later. Oh one of the best snacks we did not discover till we arrived home was the rice crispies Mickey heads. Overall we had a great eating experience.

Jenny, you have finished your dining review, now start planning the trip in September. :) The 180 mark is March 24th. The September calendar is even out. I love you and can't wait for our next trip.

:rotfl: When I first saw a picture of the cheesecake I thought the same thing! Not that I've tasted play-doh :rolleyes1 , but I don't think it tasted anything like it. :)

Ok, I HAVE tried Play-doh (I was seven, it was truth or dare. I've learned since to NEVER pick dare.) and I don't think I could ever try even a tiny amount of that stuff. By the way, PD is VERY salty. Yes, I still remember to this day. It was red. :rotfl:

Now that I think about it....

We did make homemade play-doh in 2nd grade to play with during off-times and we had to add a LOT of salt to it.
