I understand you can buy points from DVC members. How do you know how much each resort requires for points? For example my family is planning to go in Sept for 9 nights. How can I find out how many points are needed for a DVC rental to know how to ask for people's points?

Go to the top of this page. Under the heron, on the right side, is a link to DVC resort point charts. :)

If you look at the upper right of this page, you can click on the "DVC Point Charts" link - which will take you to a listing of the points needed at each resort.

In this case, you might just want to post your dates on the Rent/Trade Board and then compare the rentals offered to what you could get directly thru Disney at CRO. That way you can compare the actual rates.

Please be sure and educate yourself on how a DVC reservation is very different from a regular hotel reservation, and the basics of “renting points”, as it is often referred to.
