Anyone ever rent an RV?

My family and I will be visiting California for two weeks this summer. After visiting the DLR, we would like to rent an RV and visit Yosemite and Sequoia National Parks.

Has anyone ever rented an RV in the LA area, especially near LAX? We see several options. I'm hoping someone can tell me where they rented, their experiences with the company, or who to avoid at all costs!

We haven't rented an RV, but I know and have seen several Rv's being rented from El Monte Rentals (http://www.elmonterv.com) and Cruise America (http://www.cruiseamerica.com/).

Pickup locations for Cruise America are not near as close as El Monte RV (in Irvine - just north of Anaheim and another location in Santa Ana - which is a bit closer to DL). Cruise America has a location near LAX, about 20 minutes away that might be an option as well.

Before we purchased our TT, we did look into renting an RV for our first ever camping trip, but found they were very expensive.
