Violations handed out to Orlando Restaurants

The Orlando Sentinel has a page that lets you search restaurant inspection records from the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation for inspection reports on all eateries from July 2006 to present.

I didn't expect to see any Disney restaurants on the list but for the heck of it I checked California Grill - one of the places I'd eaten at last month. Yikes - 4 violations including rodents and bugs. Remy in the kitchen??

Who would have thought the GHIRARDELLI SODA FOUNTAIN would have a total of 18 violations - though I'm sure many are not that serious.

It's a little scary how many Disney places are on that list. Most seem like minor things, but when you think about how many people eat at the parks and resorts it's a little concerning.

I looked at it...now I'm poking my eyes out.

It's interesting reading, but the rodent/insect thing is grossing me out and I think I'd rather not know. :crazy2:

Even our beloved Chef Mickey's is on there. :eek: Maybe they were just counting him as a rodent. :rotfl2:

I agree, esp. as some on the Ghiradelli list were not so minor. Imagine what Gordon Ramsay would say if he saw "wiping cloths not being clean, properly used and stored" or the dishes not "Pre-flushed, scraped, soaked" or "floors not properly constructed, cleaned, drained and covered." Plus bugs and rodents. That could have been a health hazard.
