View Full Version : Rainforest Cafe in AK? Advice, please!

We are going to be in the world on my son's birthday and were thinking about taking him out for dinner. He will be 6 and has the misfortune of being born on Valentine's Day when everyone in the world will be eating out as well! I have heard the Rainforest Cafe at AK is not as noisy / slow as the other location. Any feedback?! Thanks!:cake:

Rainforest Cafe is the same as it is everywhere. It's fun and the food is good ( burgers and such) but it is NOT quiet! Gorillas and birds and lions etc etc.

I've been to the one at AK 4 times and the service has never been slow to me, even when we had a big party (8) one year. It is noisy. Every so often you have the usual "explosion" when all the animals go wild, lights flashing etc. and then the normal dining noises.

I have a Rain Forest about 45 mins from us in Connecticut and I have to agree service very slow there. I don't remeber when we were at the AK restaurant if the service was slow, but we had just spent the day at AK and needed to sit and relax for while, so we probably welcomed the slow service LOL

There is also a Rainforest Cafe in Downtown Disney!! Whether or not it's just as busy, who knows?

We have only eaten at the one at AK, but it was super sloooooowwwwww! The food was good and huge portions! Im glad we tried it but I dont think we will be going back anytime soon. My DD 10 at the time really enjoyed it tho.
