That depends on you if you should take it or not. For your sanity you can just take it and see what it says. Or just wait it our to see if you miss your monthly visitor.

Funny Story - When i found out i was pregnant it was my DH that actually realized it first. I was not late or anything but we had recently moved so the fresh paint and new carpets were driving me up the wall. I couldn't walk into my house without feeling sick:sick: . I thought it was just the fresh paint and carpet. So we took a test and i SWEAR to this day that i read it right and i walk into the bedroom and tell my DH it says negative:yay: i sat down and started watching TV when all of a sudden my DH says "honey you read it wrong you are pregnant":scared1: :scared1: :scared1: wow was that ever a shocker.....

I wouldn't worry- really. I am being serious.

For the two months before my wedding, I was so nauseous- I threw up a lot. I lost about ten pounds- so much so that they had to take my dress in again, two days before the wedding.

you are stressed out, and when you are, you get queasy. Your period may even be late- or not at all, depending on your stress level.
So until that happens, put it out of your mind. Roll with it. The next month and a half will be the most memorable of your life. ANd if by chance there's a pea pod growing there, you will sit back in just a bit, look back on it and say "What a blessing to my life you have been."

Don't worry. i'm being serious.

I'm back!! :goodvibes What a cute little party. I got to read a cute little story to the kids, Hippity Skippity Easter. :flower1: I'm a little more in the Easter mood now I guess. With the crappy weather and Easter being so early it hasn't much seemed like Easter around here.

Stopped and rented movies on the way home. I got 6 movies!! :scared1: Wasn't really the plan. I went to get Enchanted since I didn't get to see it in the theater. The kids have been wanting to see Brother Bear because they saw a preview for it on another one of their Disney DVD's. So I didn't realize there was Brother Bear and Brother Bear II. So I told DS6 to get them both, since I usually let them each pick a movie anyway. Then I saw a sign in the kids section - rent 3 kids dvd's and get 2 free! :woohoo: Well you know how I love free!! So they ended up with 5 movies. But that's okay, after today they are off school until Tuesday so now they will have something to do since it is so nasty out!

Shelly- I know, yucky stuff happens everywhere- we just do better if we don't see it, lOl.
Once we saw a little girl -about 10 years old- take the spoon out of the mashed potatoes and lick it and then put it back in them. gross. And then you have the nose blowers who touch the handles after wiping their noses two seconds before. Gross. I am disgusted thinking about it.

Jo

By the way JO, that is a disgusting story!!

Please tell me that wasn't at WDW ???

Actually I think WDW has people monitoring their buffets (probably for that reason). CP is probably the cleanest buffet I've ever seen. And when we were at Chef Mickey's one of the boys dropped a chicken strip on the floor and someone picked it up within seconds. Before I even got done chewing out DS for dropping yet another piece of food! :rotfl2: I was impressed!!

:lmao: That's true. I wanted to be done before I was 30 and I made it! I had them at 26 & 28. Now DH was well into his 30's then!! :rotfl: But he didn't have to carry & deliver the babies!!

so air tran's flights right now-

I could get them for a grand total of $1,095-
that's $219 pp with tax and fees.

It just seems so high to me.
Southwest will release theirs on April 19th- but only through October 31st. We fly home on Nov 1 st. So I'd have to wait- again- for return flight.

dang. Now i am confused.

we are using air tran and that's about what i paid pp... but, i do agree it is kind of high. I was ok with it because I was VERY particular about everything... it was worth it to me to spend a little more to leave at the time I wanted and to not have any lay overs or anything...

mari360
03-19-2008, 11:07 AM
i paid 239 PP using continental so the 219 u see now is even cheaper then what i paid.

We only paid $179 pp with SW this year. Paid a little less pp last year with Air Tran.

Yep, I never grew up! You'll see, we'll be posting pics again soon! :)

He is just under 44" in shoes. :sad2: So close!! It is so close that it will probably actually depend on the CM working at the entrance.

DS8 was like that last year, just at 48" and he got on RNRC with no problem!

Geez Mari are you going to leave anything for the rest of us to buy??? :lmao:

We hardly spent a couple of hundred dollars last year since we had the dining plan. The boys save their own money for spending. I know, I'm mean!! It really does teach them money management and plus they don't ask for crap all week. It's all up to them! They will each probably have about $130. I will have about $150 on my Disney Rewards card to spend. And we will probably take another $200. I bought us all so many Disney shirts from Disney shopping online that we really don't need anymore clothes while we are there, unless I see something really great that I can't live without!

I can't even remember what all I got last year. . . . Oh yeah, my Disney Christmas tree bulbs, a mickey-head cookie cutter, a snowglobe, shirts, hmm. . . Can't really remember what else. I'd like to get the monorail set this year, but not sure how I'll get it home without it being damaged!

Well the reason we are taking that is because i saw some things iw anted to get last year but ended up never getting. Plus my DH is the kind that whatever my DD wants she gets. She is not like that with me causei know how to tell her NO... he doesn't so i don't know what she'll ask for....

Shelly- You can buy the monorail and ship it to your house. I did that with the Disney train and a horse and carriage I got the girls. It was so worth it and you get a break on the tax. If I were you I would do it.

I'm going to go to church. I think I need some prayer time.

Hope everyone is doing good....

I have to share this with you all- I have been battling myself, wondering if I should tell you all, for fear of you guys thinking I am a nut case. But I decided to share it with you, just because you have been there for me, praying and supporting me.

Last night- I wasn't going to go to church. I never do on Wednesday nights- it's just too tough of an ordeal, so I usually run Mary Cat and drop her off- we are about a mile form the church so it's easy.

At 5 o'clock the phone rang and it was Mark. He asked what was wrong and I told him what the Rheumy had said. He was upset and talking to me about it- and then after a bit he told me he couldn't come home immediately, that he had some clients in from out of town and it was a last minute dinner put together by his boss. But he said he would beg out if I needed him to come home. So I said no, not to worry- and then out of my mouth came the words "I am going to go to church."

Don't know why I said it- never been to this church on a Wednesday night. Don't know what made me say it. The kids were surprised when I told them. That's when I posted my last post last night. Off we went, through the rain, into the service.

The music was wonderful- I could feel God's presence lifting my spirit and making me feel emotionally better. Then one of the associate pastors came up and said - "we usually don't do this, but I have it in my heart to pray for some people. If what I am getting ready to say pertains to you, please come down front, we want to pray for you." So he said "Anyone with tendonitis- in the right hip, anyone with problems in their right ear, anyone with issues in their right elbow, come down. We are going to pray for healing for you."

So I said, praying to myself " Well, God, I guess that's not me." and I kept praying, happy to be feeling so much better, emotionally.

After a few minutes of the minister praying for those down front, he came back on stage and said (these are his exact words-) " I think in my life, I have only ever had this happen one other time. I do not ever do this- ( and then he turned and looked my way in the audience) and said "There is someone with an issue in their foot. There is a pain there. I want to pray for you as well. Come down, now."

Do you know I didn't move?

My feet were planted firmly on the ground and I was astounded. I said to myself, "Surely I didn't hear him right." and the longer I stood there, the more uncomfortable I got. There were three others down there getting prayed for, and I was trying to rationalize this whole situation in my head. Finally, I felt like God pressed upon me "Come and get your healing." And so I walked down there.

Boy, how hard was that. All eyes on me. The minister was finishing up praying for the last person, and he turned and looked at me and the look that he gave me was indescribeable. It was like he looked at me and said "yes. This is the one. What took you so long??".

I guess I didn't get the message when he first started saying the right side... all of my pain is in my right side joints.... in the tendons. Duh me.

He reached down, never saying a word to me and held my foot, praying. Now the music was still being performed. I couldn't hear what he said. But I felt it.

This immense, burning, tingling warmth settled in my foot and after a few moments of him praying, he finished and I was walking back to my seat, tears flowing. as I took my first step, I realized something. IT DIDN"T HURT.

For the first time in almost 8 months, every step I took did not feel like I was walking on rocks.

All through his sermon, (which was on faith and healing, by the way), my foot tingled, and was warm.

When it was over and Mary Cat came out of her service, she looked at me funny and said 'mom, is your foot okay?" and I couldn't even say anything but "yes, it is."

This morning, the swelling is down. The foot looks like a healthy, pink foot. I got out of bed this morning, expecting the pain to hit me like it has for the past 7 months. one step...no pain. Down the stairs...no pain.

All morning- I have felt like I did a year ago. And that tingling? Still there. Warmth like I have never felt. Like a warm compress being held there.

I have never experienced anything in my life like I did last night. Never.
I have prayed for many things in my life,( including the healing of my Father), that have never come to fruition.

I don't know why God moves when He does, but all I have to say is that I am thanking Him this morning for this blessing He has given to me.

Thanks for all of your prayers and care and support. They mean the world to me.

Please don't think I have lost it with this post. I am trying to share with you of the goodness and faithfulness of God.

He is wonderful indeed.

I have been crying all morning.

Not a bad cry-
a joyful, happy cry.

I have been blessed, and I do not deserve any of it at all.

What a blessing to receive at this Easter.

What does Mark say???

My Jo - I am in tears after this post. I'm SO HAPPY that your foot feels better. The lord works in miraculous ways and with faith in him we can get through the day. I do not think you are any crazier then i thought yesterday ;) But I am so happy that you decided to go to church yesterday. :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

:)

If Mark had come home when he normally does, i would never have gone to church last night.

It is amazing how God moves and makes circumstances fall into place.

And that the Associate pastor was there last night, not our regualar pastor- and he felt he needed to pray for those that were sick.

I have never spoken to anyone in this church- I slip in and then out without ever speaking to a pastor-
so I know that no one knew of my issue.
It was totally God.

Mark was completely astounded, much as I was.

He looked at my foot this morning and said "the swelling has gone way down- look at that."

He says he wishes he could have been there with me.

Thirty years old... welcome to the club, my dearie!

Uh, I mean, you're older than me- I'm only 29.:rotfl:

Jo

Isn't God awesome! And I love how He did this so that you know, there is no other possible explanation except that God did it.

God is good and is faithful and I love to hear how He reveals Himself to others.

Thank you for sharing!

Thanks for all the good thoughts.:goodvibes

I went out this afternoon- to the store to get the cake (it's Mary Cat's B-day, not Belle's:goodvibes- I now have a teenager living in my midst!:scared1: ) and then I went over to Marshall's to see if I could find anything good.

My foot didn't hurt the whole time. It feels tired, like I've stood for a while, but other than that, it's great. I am still walking like it hurts, though, with a strange gait- I've been walking this way so long, I am going to have to re-learn the normal way of walking, LOL.

I hope you are all having a wonderful day-
Happy Birthday again to Mari- and to Chris, Sea's son!!!!

I made Chicken Florentine for supper, with Strawberry Romaine salad- Mary Catherine's fave!

I am feeling good today, RF! Thanks for asking!:goodvibes

Hi everyone! We have made it back home from our incredible journey down to the Mexican Riviera. If you have never taken a cruise before, it is very hard to come back to reality. It is so nice to be waited on, served, and experience many new tastes and flavors of foods.

For our family, it was so good being with my parents and brother, sister and all of our children for an extended period of time. It is refreshing to reconnect, laugh and enjoy each other's company in a relaxed and seemingly timeless atmosphere.

I will post up a trip report and pictures later on this week on a blog site I am setting up.

Meanwhile, I ordered room service tonight - Pizza Hut!

PS...Did I tell you we had a stowaway on board?

Well, the Easter Bunny brought me a new present. You'll never guess what it is....

a new washer and a new dryer. Saturday night around 9 p.m. our old washer washed it's last load of clothes. It was 17 years old and a wedding gift from my in-laws. After lunch today, we stopped at Home Depot, which was the only store in town open. I ordered my new washer and dryer. The washer is being delivered on Wed. and the dryer is out of stock will will delivered in April. Our dryer has been repaired several times, so dh said, we should replace them both. Get a matching set!

The kids loved their Easter baskets and we a great Easter Sunday.

Morning All!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had a great easer at my mother's house. My DD LOVED doing the easter egg hunt. Even though tmy little brother (11) and nephew(11) were pushing her around to get the eggs she ended up with the most money.... But all in all they all loved hunting for the eggs.

NC - Great news on the present from the Bunny... I would LOVE that but mine are ok they are only about 3 years old. And work great so i can't complain Yet.....

Good Morning MAYers! :goodvibes Glad to hear everyone had a nice Easter!

After church we just hung out at home most of the day and finished up watching the rest of those movies we rented. Then we went to my Dad & Step-mom's for dinner. They sometimes do an Easter egg hunt at their house, but it was too cold and there was still snow on the ground.

The crazyness never ends around here. My son had a friend sleepover last night. He had tennis this morning. I am trying to work some from home. We are heading out to a library this afternoon. Of course my son wants to go to the one downtown because it is the largest. It is about 40 minutes away. Yuck. I hate going downtown. I wish he wanted to go to our neighborhood library.

Have a great day!

most definately (when i figure out how to post them i will) :) haha or i may have to direct everyone else to my myspace page... i have that down to a science :rotfl:

and the wedding, well....it's BIG, waaaaayyyyy bigger than i wanted... i wanted to get married on a beach in jamaica with like 10 people, but it turned into the big white dress... church... 13 attendants... thing that i had NO control over.:rotfl2:

i know a lot people who regret it either way... sometimes i do think that we should have done it much smaller to cut costs and help us for the future, but i am also lucky enough to have wonderful parents who are helping us A LOT

sometimes it pays to be a daddy's girl princess:
haha

you could always just go ahead and get your pictures done now...
photographers don't charge NEARLY as much when it's not a "wedding", you get a really pretty dress (if you don't have one from when you got married) and go out to a park and have some "engagement" pics done...
it may not be exactly what you wanted, but it's always fun to dress up really pretty and be a princess princess: and have the afternoon be just about the two of you...

mari360
03-24-2008, 03:13 PM

mari360
03-24-2008, 03:14 PM
my sisters and I are in talks of planning my mother's 50th bday party and already it's coming out to like atleast 15k. But it's not bad since the bill will be split between all her kids and my stepdad... but i know the planning is the worst.... so either way enjoy all your hard efforts.... then it's off to WDW....

rusafee1183
03-24-2008, 03:23 PM
yes, it is definately stressful, and then planning the WDW trip was a lot on top of everything else (luckily i enjoyed every minute of that :) but it was alot of work)... like i said i have never had to plan a trip on my own anywhere... let alone the greatest (and most overwhelming) place on the planet!!! But, we're almost at the finish line and we are almost all set!! :cool1:

good luck with party planning! i don't envy the people who do it for a living :rotfl:

Mornin-
The InLaws just left at 9am- I am exhausted.:lmao:

Just wanted to say hi and try to relax before I tackle the laundry that's piled up on my floor in front of the laundry room!:)

We ate so much while they were here, I thought i was at WDW!:rotfl:

Glad everyone had a wonderful Easter- ours was great.

MIL brought in a basket for all of us that was as big as the Earth, HAHAha!

The kids, of course, ate too much of it.

I am still feeling phenomenal... I am so excited with how I feel- it is unbelievable, truly.:cloud9:
I was able to wear a high heeled boot to church for the first time in about a month. Crazy.

Sea- glad you're home and had a great trip.
RF- yay for no babies...yet.;)
Shelly- we ended up going to the Egg hunt in the snow. But by the time we got there, it was a muddy mess, so we left w/o any eggs. It was crowded and freezing. What a great concept- but it's just too cold, esp. when Easter is in March.
Mari- yay- you are closer than ever to getting to the Happy place!
Huggie- how you doin'?
NC- not long now for you to wait! how's Arkansas????

Weellllllllllllllll,
much as I hate it- I have to do a little :laundy:
and then some more :laundy:

yuck.

Have a beautiful day, MAYers!

JO

I know, that place was a muddy mess Friday! I can't imagine what it must have been like by Saturday. We drove the Blazer so they made us park in a muddy field. Anyone with 4-wheel drive was directed that way. I told DH we should have brought the car then we could have parked on pavement!

All the slides & jumpy things had HUGE lines. DS 8 waited for the Hulk one because it was the shortest line. DS6 and I waited 35 minutes for a balloon animal! :scared1: Then as we were waiting for the 4-6 year old egg hunt to start I looked around and told DS8 to just go in with those kids. They were all his size anyway! I didn't feel like standing there freezing for another 15 minutes waiting for his age group! They each filled their baskets in about 3 minutes and we left!

Hi Everyone!

I can't believe how fast the days are flying by until your May trips to WDW.

I wish I was going to FL sooner. Right now, we are still looking at the Fall, no dates yet.

Can't wait to hear about you trip reports!

He is probably concerned that he will get sea sickness.

It was little rough coming out of LA the first night and early morning, but no one was complaining it was bad. A lot of ships today have stablizers which reduce the swaying/rocking motion greatly.

As for cruise ships sinking, forget it. They have sonar, radar, satellite on the bridge, they are constantly adjusting the course looking out for any dangers or bad weather conditions.

I can't seem to talk my DH into a cruise either. . . He doesn't swim so the whole idea of being out on the open water just isn't very appealing to him!

I'm sure I could talk him into it if I really wanted to. And being that we don't go anywhere without the kids it would probably have to be a Disney Cruise! But like Mari said they are very expensive. :scared1: Just a 3 -4 night Disney cruise would cost us more than 8 days in WDW. I just can't justify that right now!

That is what a girl I know from the kids school is doing. Her and her family will be at WDW (Beach Club) May 10-15 and then the Disney Cruise May 15-17 I think.

I can imagine what that must cost!

I love doing this. I do it every trip. I ship all my toiletries and misc to the hotel so it is less for me to carry.

One tip is to ship it at least 2 weeks before you get there so you can track it when it gets there. Also call the hotel once it gets there so you definately know it is there. I only use UPS to ship. But from experience make sure you pack your box right. UPS is not easy on boxes. I usually ship a half opened bottle of shampoo and conditioner and wrap it in plastic wrap then put it in a ziploc. No spills and no need to take it home. There is hardly anything left to pack home. :hippie:

Well, this weather has me thinking of the trip last May! It's a bit chilly here today, but blue sky shining on us!

I made french toast this morning and we all enjoyed it. I mean, Belle, me and Beau Gator the Bulldog enjoyed it.

Mari- I forgot to tell you yesterday that commercial was so sweet. Precious. Wouldn't it have been wonrful to hae known the man that he was. Kind of makes you wonder what your children will be when they grow up, and what kind of influence they will have on others. Awwww...

Shelly- the little ones are so cute! They looked so happy and then so "duded up" (that's what we call dressed up...) how cute.

Huggie- how are your girls enjoying their swingset?

RF- getting closer to the day! how long have you and your BF been together?

Sea- have you posted pics of the cruise yet? Did I miss the link????

I wish we would hear something from JC!!!!!!!!! I wonder if she got moved... and everything is going okay...
I got a Christmas card from her, but haven't heard anything since then. Maybe I'll send her a note. Has anyone heard from her????

Jealous of your countdowns, MAYers....
