Those were creative MickeyManiac!:thumbsup2

I'm thinking it is indeed Hollywood and Anaheim though. Hollywood...because of the sign and Anaheim because you go over Disneyland.

Maniac, Frau Outlander your all correct AAQ to all lets keep this going

Mickey_Maniac

I'll hold my AAQ in reserve for now and defer to either cabanafrau or outlander (in truth, I just can't think of another good question right now:rolleyes1 )

OK, since no one else has jumped in, I'll give it another shot...

What is the historical significance of The Enchanted Tiki Room?

N10CJT
05-02-2008, 01:38 PM
I'm not sure what you're looking for, but I'm guessing you're referring to the fact that the original Tiki Room in Disneyland was the first attraction to use audio animatronics.

Mickey_Maniac
05-02-2008, 03:09 PM
Is there no stumping you N10CJT??? I thought for sure that one would be harder to answer. Here's a Tiki, Tiki, Tiki AAQ to you!

N10CJT
05-02-2008, 03:29 PM
Yeah, I'm stumped all the time! I just try to answer the ones I think I know. This one I knew from a documentary I saw a while back. I think it was a Discovery program, something like "Disney Tech," chock full of trivia questions!

Here's my next contribution.....

What about the waterfall in Journey Into Imagination makes it unique?

When you fly over London in Peter Pan's flight, what time is it?

Mickey_Maniac

No clue, but I'll guess 8:00pm?

cabanafrau
05-03-2008, 08:31 PM
How about midnight?

N10CJT
05-03-2008, 10:36 PM
Great question!
I didn't know this one off the top of my head, but I was so curious that I did some digging.
I think the answer is 11.45.
Normally I wouldn't answer one I didn't know, but I just had to share the source for this answer, because it is really cool!

Stroke of genius with the Fantasyland poster, but according to my source that's not the right time for the clock in the ride. Love the poster though!

outlander
05-04-2008, 04:12 PM
I need to get better at managing that file cabinet in my brain.....
I don't think it was 'on the hour' and for some reason 10-ish is sounding familiar....

I'll go with.... 10:20

disneycruise05
05-04-2008, 04:38 PM
Well, I'm pretty sure it's 10:30 PM in the movie. Big Ben is chiming, which would make it either on the quarter or half (I don't remember it tolling multiple times). Plus, when Peter Pan and the Darling children land on the (what I think is) hour hand, it nudges down to 9. Knowing the Disney way of being a stickler for detail, I'm going with 10:30.

ryley26
05-04-2008, 05:08 PM
The clock outside the ride it's 8:15?

CheshireSmile
05-04-2008, 11:01 PM
Nope, I'm talking about Big Ben in the London scene in the ride. Everyone is hovering around the correct time, but the time is a rather obscure one.

Okay I finally found the answer. But this is after some SERIOUS cheating, so I don't want to step on anyone's toes. I'll reserve it until I'm sure nobody minds.....
By the way, it is NOT in the first edition. Yeah, I actually checked. These are some of the useless skills I've learned from a life as a scholar....

Wow, so not where I got my info, so now I REALLY want to know what time it says that it is!! I wonder if Disney is quite that accurate........

N10CJT
05-05-2008, 12:40 AM
Yeah I don't know if the text makes a reference to the time on the clock. I think my sanity draws the line at searching through it for such a reference. :goodvibes
There's also the chance that they took the time off of one of the props from the original play. The 100th anniversary edition has a different time on it.
I'm guessing that the choice of time is more or less arbitrary. I'd be surprised if the makers of the film didn't just select a time out of thin air!
But Disney is being consistent in some respect. The time on the mural at the loading bay corresponds with that on the clock in the ride itself....

ryley26
05-05-2008, 07:26 AM
The clock on the ride outside is 8:45. Its odd so many different times on the clocks.

And I'm pretty sure I'm over the weight limit. And that I'm forgetting something. :scared:

Alright, two more guesses - Haunted Mansion or Space Mountain? As for the why, not sure.

Space Mtn didn't open until 1975... but you're right about the Haunted Mansion - a ghostly AAQ to you gometros! :hmghost:

The reason that the HM was the first to be installed and completed is that the Imagineers decided back in '68/69 while they were working on the brand new attraction for Disneyland (which Walt first talked about publically in 62 or 63 when the house facade was built but didn't officially open until August 1969 since the World's Fair got in the way - and then his death slowed the Imagineers down as they couldn't decide which way to go - lighthearted or scary) - anyway, they decided that the HM would be included in the opening day roster of attractions when the new MK opened at WDW in the then near future. As they were building the sets for Disneyland - they found it easiest to build duplicates at the exact same time - then simply store them until they were needed on-site in FL. As a result of their planning, the HM was the easiest installation, and the first to be completed and ready to operate!

plutospup
05-24-2008, 10:37 PM
