40% off code after numerous phone call to Disney

My parents just received the 40% off code this morning after my mom has been calling for over 3 weeks. So for anyone who has not gotten a code yet i would keep trying.

Wow! Lucky for her :) I tried using my moms code and the rude cm said nope. Although my Mom wasn't booking a trip...just us. Wonder if that had anything to do with it ?????

I got one in the mail on Sat. I didn't think anything of it as I started reading it (I must have opened it while I was watching tv) then I get to the bottom and it says use the code to by March 31st. Then I turned it over and saw SAVE 40%. I immediately called. We had a suite at the ALL Stars booked. They said that for the time we wanted it did not apply to that so we tried POP for two connecting rooms. I got it for $55 a room and saved over $300. My sons don't care as long as they each have their own bed.

I can make 1 more reservation with it and I have to decide where dh and I will spend the one night before the boys join us. I'm thinking something with a view. ;) ;) We shall see. We are celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary.

I too called 2-3 times and finally got my 40% card in the mail today. When I did call, I was told no code was attached to my name, and now a card....

Just a heads up, I, too, was waiting for a postcard. I ordered the free Disney DVD on the disney website about a month ago and recieved the card shortly after. I don't know if thats why......
Of course now I can't use the code as I had already booked a package through Travelocity at the Best Western in DTD. I couldn't wait;)

I don't know if it's because I get the grumpy ones..and maybe this one just happened to be nice, but she did say to that I should keep checking. Is it a postcard, the 40% off one? I got a pamphlet type thing the other day and didn't see anything. It opened and had two folder type things. It was smallish, if I remember right..

We are booked for May, can I call and ask if they will give us a discount. Or can you not have something booked? It's for our anniversary. I wouldn't mind saving 40%. Any advice??? I didn't get this years DVD should I call and ask for one???

I just had to call before March 31st. I don't think iit had any special dates on it. I booked for AUg 15th to the 21st.

I AM SOOOOO HAPPY I READ THIS!!!! :yay: I very stupidly and of course accidentely threw away the postcard I got in the mail a few weeks ago!:eek: Wanted to shoot myself when I found out it had a code on it. I was really busy that day and briefly saw the 40% off thing on front but put it down and between myself being sick and DS being sick I swear I lost my head and picked it up and threw it out. I even went out back in the freezing, bitter cold searching through the trash with a chicken carcass in it :scared: , yeah that wasn't fun! I just called since we want to try to get a Villa at OKW but can only afford it with a code and the CM said "No, there is nothing we can do, we would need the code to check." I even asked if she could check my name in the computer and she said no, they need the code off the postcard. When I called and got the prompt, I punched the number to make a reservation...is that what I should be doing? Thanks, I'm definitely going to keep calling!:cool1:

It is usually for the address listed on the card.
My mom travels with us sometimes, and we had a card come in her name..but our address. She doesn't live with us..but our reservations were linked and the information all came to my home. We were able to use the pin code mailer..because the address was the same household. Now, if your friend were going to use your dad's address, perhaps you might be able to use it. It's worth a shot, but the code will come up linked to his address. She will not be able to use her own, as far as receiving confirmations and the like.

Dates are good for Feb 24-Mar 5, Mar 30-Apr 8, Aug 10-Sep 27 (hopefully free dining), Oct 19-Nov 1, Nov 9-15, Dec 7-17.

No, you can not give the code away. The code is linked to a name and address. It has to be that specific person. When you call and make your ressie, you have to give them your name, address and phone number. If the pin code does not come up in that name, you are not allowed to use it. Believe me, they are really strict with the 40% off code.

If you've made a reservation before, your name is in their system. You can call central reservations or the travel company and see if there is a "code" attached to your name for any discounts. Other codes come on postcard mailers. Their is a pin code on the post card. It's for certain resorts, and dates. A possible way to generate such a code is to fill out any requests for Disney information. Go their website, and request the DVD, some people have received discount codes after doing so. It is very random..there doesn't appear to be any rhyme or reason to it.
Other public codes are available from time to time. Check on mousesavers.com. for current discounts that may apply. If you have a Disney Visa, the public discounts usually are available to those guests a day or two in advance of being released to the public. Even when there is a public code you need to mention it while making your reservation..they will not apply it without your requesting it. There are also AAA discounts available to members. You can make a "room only" AAA discount reservation directly with Disney. If you want to make a package reservation..which includes dining and park tickets you'll need to do that with AAA. Pays to check for discounts at www.mousesavers.com. Hope this helps.;)

All the dates I'm seeing posted for 40% off codes seem to be skipping my dates at the end of July. Has anyone been able to apply a code for dates in July or is this time so packed with people that Disney doesn't believe it needs to offer a code?
