Coming Back

Nov 2007...wife 50...me 53...son 24...son's GF24 all went for first time...stayed at CSR with dining...MYW...this was GREAT!!!!!!!!!! I actually stood in the middle of main street straring at castle and cried...I was so happy to get there...then next night when we went back...all decorated for Christmas again I just blubbered like a kid...great trip....guess what...now wife and I are going back again Nov 12 2008 for 6 days without the kids...we are staying at POFQ without dining as I felt it was too much food and your reservations hindered what you could do...anyways...can't wait to come back...Happy Happy Joy Joy!!!!!

Congrats! You've got the Disney bug now!

POFQ is a great resort for adults. It's compact, but there are still plenty of wonderful nooks and crannies to explore. Having the boat to go to DTD is an added plus! You'll have a great time.

Congrats on your upcoming trip back. I wish my DH was into Disney like I am...I am like you, whenever I see Cindy's Castle, I always get a tear in my eye....I also get a chill whenever we drive under the "Welcome to Walt Disney World" sign. My DH thinks I am nuts, being 34 and still acting like a kid whenever I talk about Disney. My response to him is...that is what Disney does, it makes you feel like a kid again, no matter what age. Hope you have loads of fun on your couples only trip. I am trying for a way to talk my DH into going next March for our 10th anniversary (without the kiddies), don't think that will fly though.

How about being a 50 DH and having similar reactions - my 50 year old DW thinks I'm nuts! I don't what it is, but I sometimes think I enjoy it, including the planning, prep and wait time, more than my DW and 2 daughters (13, 9), and they LOVE Disney....haha

Well, we're celebrating my DH's 60th birthday at WDW -We got bit with the Disney "bug" and just love spending our vacations there. Our family thinks we're a little nuts :rotfl: but we don't care. We just love to relax at POR, take in the sights and sounds, enjoy the food .........just everything! Can't wait to get there..April 30th yeah:goodvibes
