Hey Guys :goodvibes
I ve not posted in the boards for quite a long time so i feel a little rusty  . Last time i was posting it was what felt like an eternity away from being able to book our wedding, now May 2009 does nt feel like so far off :woohoo: so im getting back in to the swing of mailing on the boards.
We re having an Escape wedding early May 2009 at Wedding Pavillion, staying at the Poly for 10 nights & then transferring to either Wilderness Lodge or Port Orleans French Quarter for another 10 nights.:lovestruc :lovestruc :lovestruc
I ve just managed to book Randy :) so we re chuffed that we ve got him on board as i would of been devastated if we could nt of booked him.
Im a little confused though as i always thought that when it came to the Wedding Pavillion that we would be able to book this at the 12 month mark. However i just read on the Official Site that you can only book it 8 months in advance. Im panicking a little as to me that sounds a little short notice & not too far off the date itself.
Is it concrete that you can only secure WP 8 months in advance or has anyone managed to book it earlier than that???
Thanks guys :flower3: :cheer2: :) :goodvibes

Hi Becca,
My date at the WP was penciled in at the 12 month mark and we contracted in at 8 months. I'm a wishes bride so I'm not sure if it is different for an escape bride.

I am getting married at Disney in May 2009 as well, does anyone know when we can put our names in for the Yacht Club Gazebo?
We would like to book our photographer/videographer as well but what happens if you dont get the date you want?
Thanks :)

Can you book the WP if you are having your reception in a park? Because Park books at 12 months out, but WP is 8 mths so it sounds weird if you book reception at 12 and then wait 4 more to book your ceremony?
Can someone clarify this for me please? Thank you!

We contacted Disney before the 12 month mark. They penciled us in, and then made the official confirmation later. Your best bet is to contact them, explain the situation, and they'll probably do their best to secure the spot.

Do Disney actually say that the date & time you want along with your names have been pencilled in or do they just make a note of your requests along with other details?
Thankyou:goodvibes

If you want the same times and dates as other brides have also requested then you go into a "lottery" with all the other brides and then Disney contact you to tell you if you got your preferred date and your preferred time. So in answer to your question at that time it is a request that they are pencilling in - if no one else wants your location on the same time/date then you should be OK

I had my wedding at the WP and I called 11 months early and they told me to call back at 8 months, the date I wanted wasn't opened (wishes got it first) but it worked out it was Jan 2nd instead of the 3rd.

I have spoken to Disney about this and i have been told...
You can book at wishes wedding at WP 12 months in advance... because you can only book a reception at the parks within this package, this is why it works out with the 12 month guidelines of booking the park reception venue.
You can book an escape wedding at WP 8 months in advance.
They havent said this BUT it does look to me that wishes brides are given a priority over escape brides (but then i guess it all comes down to the Disney dollar at the end of the day, rightly or wrongly)
We are now having a wishes wedding for this reason and the fact that we always wanted our whole reception in the park and didnt realise, if you wanted someone else to take care of all this that you could only do it through wishes.
