Good food at Epcot ?

OK

We've got two (maybe three) days scheduled for EPCOT this summer. One day we're hopefully going to book Le Cellier. I can't think about anywhere else and was hoping someone could reccommend something. Last time we ate at China (but it wasn't anything more special than a good chinese rest here) and Mexico - which was lovely and we'd do again but wanted to try something else!!!!

Hi - have been to the Coral Reef - was ok for the $$

In Epcot I must admit I like going to the bakery in France & getting a mixture of things/puddings to eat & sharing.

Also the food court at the Land has a selection that should suit most. My dd had chicken leg, rice & carrots for her kids meal with grapes & drink.

One night we got fish & chips (yes we do eat all the time!) from the take out & they were surprisingly good too.

I agree with Custard, I have enjoyed both my visits to Coral Reef. Another nice restaurant is the Bistro de Paris. It's more pricey than the other Epcot eateries, but you never feel like they are rushing you at all and you can enjoy a leisurely meal here.

We are going to try Chef de France this time - the Dis unplugged podcast team have given it a fantastic review and it sounds like a hidden gem :goodvibes

We always enjoy the food at the Marrakesh Restaurant in Morocco :)

We just ate at Coral reef and it's a great location, in my opinion you are paying for the location rather than the food.
The food was good and we had a table right at the front by the tank, it was a great experience and will definitely eat here again.

if you like japanese food, Tokyo Dining is very good.

my daughter and i ate there in november and really really enjoyed it.
The sushi was excellent and the service was outstanding.

For an excellent counter service meal, the Tangierine Cafe at Morocco is very good, and pretty healthy too. We often eat our evening meal there, when at BCV and if we're not out somewhere.

We went to Chefs de France June 2006 and had the best meal we have had in Disney - better than Artists Point, Le Cellier, Ohana, Boma and many others. It was a last minute decision to go there but this summer we plan to make a definite reservation there.

We've eaten at Les Chefs de France twice and I was disappointed both times. It somehow lacked something which I can't quite put my finger on. The menu includes many French classics, but they're not particularly well-executed. The conservatory-style dining room looks beautiful looking in, but once you're inside the tables are too closely packed for my liking. In short I suppose it felt as though we were eating theme park food in a theme park. Go figure. ;)

We've also eaten at Bistro de Paris (above Chefs and open only for dinner) and this was much more akin to some of the better resort restaurants both in terms of atmosphere and food quality (think Artist Point, Flying Fish Cafe, Narcoosee's, Citricos, Jiko). This is, without doubt, the best restaurant in Epcot although that doesn't necessarily mean it will be to everyone's taste, of course.

We've also eaten at Coral Reef twice and totally concur with penlanspice's comments. The hype surrounding many places often results in inevitable disappointment and I'd include Coral Reef in this category. The same can probably be said for Le Cellier. That's another place where the tables are packed like sardines, but I don't dislike it there. These days, I try to keep my expectations low. That's probably why I enjoyed the San Angel Inn so much last year after years of thinking it didn't appeal.

We are huge fans of Chefs de France and Bistro de Paris - both are excellent. We've had delicious food and exceptional service on all of our numerous visits. Can't wait to go back in a few weeks! :goodvibes :thumbsup2

Le Cellier is anothr "must-visit" for us, if not just for the soup. We also enjoy San Angel Inn; but many don't.

During the day we always go to Tangierine Cafe at Morocco - counter service - not expensive and excellent food - a bit different - never been to the Marrakesh Restaurant - we'll have to try it this year. Also never been disappointed with San Angel at Mexico - ver atmospheric (and nice and cool too!).

For a fun and tasty meal try Tempanyaki in Japan - they cook the meal at your table and the chefs are really entertaining. Depending on the size of your party you have to share a table but it is really good fun.

We also really enjoyed the Garden Grill (the steak is really tasty) and Mikey and pals are usually there to help make it extra fun.
