I want to know how people take such great shots of fireworks - Illuminations and Wishes. My pictures turn out so-so or not great. However I see all these photos on this board of great fireworks.

Can someone or several people share their secrets??? I would love to be able to take some great pictures of Wishes & Illuminations on my next trip.

Thanks!!!

have you tried posting your question on the Photography forum?
DH takes our pics, we set up a tripod, and he adjusts the aperture and all that. But I have no idea what he really does! LOL

It's a funny thing. I thought I was getting nothing on my nightime parade and fireworks photos. When I downloaded them, I played with the brightness and color button on the program. I sent them to Snapfish and they came out great. I thought I would only get grainy hard to see things but they came out fantastic. If I had known I would have taken photos of everything.

There is actually a tip for this already on the photo board. Here is the link:

Also shows some amazing examples of shots people have gotten.

My photos didn't turn out very well from our June '07 trip either. We're going back in April '08 so I'm hoping to get better pictures then. DH is buying me a new camera & one of the requirements is that it must take good nighttime photos.
