Windsor WI (north of Madison) members since 2006. BCV and HHI. We are grandparents and I am more a disney person than DH. I take a solo trip each year and than a second trip with a grandchild or two. Wish we could have afforded to purchase sooner but am enjoying it now.

I live in Port Washington, north of Milwaukee, right on Lake Michigan. Bought in this summer at SSR.

DH doesn't love Disney, but I do and our son (age 2) is in love with Mickey. His first trip will be this fall.

I leave on Saturday (Feb 9th) for a short trip with my best friend.

We're about an hour north of Milwaukee, own at SSR since 2005. Had an awesome time there last year, and can't wait to go back this summer. First time at WDW in June. We're usually off-season types, so this should be intersting!!!

I think DVC should open a property/waterpark at the Dells before airfare to Orlando goes up too much!!!

Anyone trade out to any of the II properties up north?

We are from Reedsburg which is near Wisconsin Dells. We purchased our SSR points in 2005.

Our only regret is that we didn't purchase in 1998 when I first got information on DVC.

We are from Franklin, 20 min south of Milwaukee, we have been owners since Feb, 2003 at BCV 250 pts and Feb 2004 at SSR 300 pts. We usually go down in October for Wisconsin Teachers Convention week. We have a September use year that works great with our travel plans. This year we are getting annual passes so we can go again in Feb of 2009.

All this cold and snow got to me last weekend. We're buying 150 points at SSR through the Timeshare Store. We're under a thick fresh blanket of the white stuff in the 'burbs of Milwaukee.

vickibean, isn't the Timeshare Store awesome! We're in the process of picking up our 4th contract with them.

I'm sitting here with 10 inches of snow in my driveway just like the rest of southern WI and going stir crazy. Thank goodness I can daydream about our next trip!

Everyone in WI stay safe today!

Hey! I'm in northern IL now but I grew up in the Dells! My whole family still lives there! I keep trying to get my husband to go back there but for some reason he doesn't want to move north. On a day like today (we are expecting to have 12 - 14 inches of snow here) I can't blame him! I don't want to move where there is even MORE snow!

I'm originally from Cedar Grove, which is just about an hour north of Milwaukee. Where are you from?

A place in the Dells would be great!

This snow is ridiculous today. Thank goodness I had nowhere to go and DH made it home safely this afternoon.

I was surprised but northern WI got less snow than southern WI and northern IL. I think we got about 13-14 inches in the Madison area.

It had better. Last time I was at Disney we had to fly home on December 11th and that ended up being a LONG trip because the airport was closed in the afternoon.

Hi to all my fellow "Packerland" DIS'ers We live in Wauwatosa (just west of Milwaukee) and our 2nd home is at OKW. Our only regret about DVC is that we didn't buy in sooner... spent way too much money on hotels when we could have been relaxing with an Umbrella drink by the pool, at our home away from home. :cool1:
Trying to wish away all the snow by listening to Disney music and reading the DIS :rolleyes1

I saw on another thread that Brett Favre owns 500 points at Beach Club. You can search at the orange county comptroller and see Brett's and Deanna's signatures on their deed. Even Multi Multi millionaires know a bargain when they see one!

I know you were sending the above to someone else, but we'll be going down to Woodfield this weekend too, and don't know what to expect. We're pretty set with our points and love VWL, but it never hurts to look, does it?

Will you let me know what the incentives are? Maybe it won't be worth the drive and on the other hand maybe it will be!!!!

Hi Neighbor!

We used to live in Port up near St. Mary's Church, but now are in a rural area near Fredonia!

I agree - this snow and cold is starting to get to everyone. I heard that Madison has recorded this winter as having the most snow ever!

Dreaming and planning our next trip to SSR sure helps!

Nice to hear from a neighbor!

Live in Ashwaubenon a village next to Green Bay. Home is SSR.
Just to let fellow members know. Up til 1972 Packer stadium was actually in Ashwaubenon not in Green Bay! Mail address was Green Bay.
Also to anyone with Pack tickets Kmart next to the stadium will close as soon as lease is up. ( not released to news yet). Packers are buying up all land it can around stadium.
