Psst. Psssssssst. Over here. I have to keep quiet because I don't want Pakey to get wind of this trip report. If you want to hear the real truth about a Disneyworld trip, stick around. I'll give you the dirt, all the dirt. It won't be some glossy version like Pakey would tell.
Are you wondering who I am? My name is Sharon. I work for Faith, aka Pakey. I've been her loyal assistant for the past 10 years ever since she joined the company as the Chief Financial Officer. She always tells people I'm her right hand and she can't do without me, but did she offer to take me on vacation? No. Instead, she is taking some other people. Let me tell you about this group.
Faith. I know she goes by Pakey on the disboards but I can't imagine her being anyone other than Faith. She's rather serious, not much of a sense of humor. She works hard and doesn't talk much except about work, NASCAR and Disney (which includes these disboards). She gets to go on some very nice vacations but she loves Disneyworld more than anyplace else. She's a very picky person and likes everything to be perfect.
Mo. Faith's husband. Poor guy. He's not much of a fan of Disney but suffers through it because Faith loves it so much. He has owned his own business for the past 25 years but Faith never talks about it, it has something to do with machinery. Faith is mechanically challenged so she probably can't figure it out. Anway, Mo loves to golf more than anything. Faith had mentioned that she was going to put in a change of address for him to the country club so I guess he's there more than anyplace else.
Vik. Faith's cousin and her lifelong best friend. Their parents are best friends so they have many shared memories starting in their early childhood. Vik is retired law enforcement and now works part time for the local hospice. She is also very involved in the regional Make A Wish chapter. She has never been to WDW but really wants to go. She is obviously more special because Faith invited her.
Mike. Vik's husband. He is also retired law enforcement and works part time screening applications for government positions. Mike has no interest in WDW. His vacations are usually historical places like Presidential libraries and the Smithsonian. He is going on this vacation because Vik begged him to and because Faith is paying for the lodging with something called DVC points.
Here's a picture from this trip so that you can see who I'm talking about. The tall one is Mo, the short haired one is Faith, the pretty one is Vik and the serious one is Mike.
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/image057.jpg
A week before the Fantastic Four were set to leave, Faith started showing up at work with her Disney stuff. She said it was to bring luck to the trip for good January weather but I know she was just rubbing it into the minions (word was borrowed from AUdis) of little people. Her Disney stuff consisted of this ridiculous lime green backpack called a Baggellini with a lime green Mickey tag that said Pakey. It looked very stupid but she seemed to think it had inside meaning. She was also wearing a lanyard with a plastic envelope at the end of it with another lime green Pakey tag. She said the lanyard had powerful mo-jo because she had gotten it at the 2006 EE Sneak Peek, whatever that is.
http://s230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/th_101_0119.jpg
That's when I came up with the idea to stowaway on the trip. Faith had been talking about a coolie friend (what's a coolie, anyway) named Lynn who had a flat version of herself. The lightbulb went off. I'd send a flat version of myself in that plastic envelope on the lanyard. I was dying to know if these trips were all Faith brags that they are. Now that I've been I can set the record straight.
So stick around. In the next installment, I'm going to find out how long it takes to pack for a trip to WDW. I'm also going to hear about someone called UtahMama. I'm not sure who she is, but I think she's the Disney version of the great and powerful Oz.
Can't wait to hear more, Sharon!

Ok Pakey - how did you get your name "Pakey"? Not sure if this was discussed on the coolie board but I don't remember it.

When Faith was a kid, her youngest brother could not say her name. The closest he could get was Pake and someone added the "y" soon after. It stuck as a family nickname. It probably would have died away but since Faith and Vik remain best friends, Faith is still known as Pakey.

Okay, so where was I? Oh yeah, before I can enjoy WDW, these goof jobs have to pack and get there.
Their flight is leaving at 6:20am on Sunday. Faith and Mo live near the airport so Mike and Vik are picking them up at 5:00. The airport is small so no need to get there too early. Faith and Mo like to pack the morning of their trip so they set the alarm for 4:00. Yes, you read right. That gave them 1 hour to wake up, shower, get ready and pack. For me, that's enough time. I'm laminated so I don't get dirty, cold or wet. But these people seriously need to rethink this process. They are throwing stuff in suitcases like they are being timed as a pit crew on a race team. They are certainly proud of themselves and "high five" each other when they were done. Mike and Vik arrive and Faith kisses her ugly little dogs goodbye.
http://s230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/th_DogsSofa11.jpg
The Fresno airport is small and at that time of the morning, nothing is open. They can't even get a coffee. Everyone is ready to go, including me.
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/101_0079.jpg
They have a 90 minute flight to Salt Lake City where they are changing planes. Their layover is less than an hour. It is 29 degrees and snowing when they land in SLC. They get off the plane and are immediately assaulted with the aroma of Cinnabon. Faith mentions that UtahMama warned her that the smell was piped through the entire airport. Faith explains who UtahMama is. She does like to do the name dropping.
Faith is anxious that they not miss their connecting flight so she and Vik head to the gate and wait. Mike decides he must have a Cinnabon so he and Mo head back towards that stand. Faith, a self proclaimed expert on air travel, informs Vik that they will just buy a salad on the plane and not eat any of that airport junk. Soon, the flight is boarding. The guys are nowhere to be seen. Faith is trying to act calm but I can feel her irritation permeating the plastic envelope where I'm residing against her chest. Before long, they are announcing final boarding for the flight. Faith tells Vik she is getting on the plane with or without the guys. Just as she said that, they come around the corner and start picking up the pace. Faith gives them the look but they don't care; they have Cinnabon breath and no other care in the world.
They are the last to board and they are off on their 4.5 hour flight to Orlando. Faith then discovers that Delta does not sell salads or snack boxes. She has the choice of a bag with 5 peanuts or 2 world famous Delta biscoff cookies. That's it. She is going to be stuck with no food for 14 hours. That is not good. She and Vik have been on diets for the past 2 years and she gets cranky when she doesn't eat on schedule. She gets even more peeved because her Cinnabon-breath husband decides he still has room to eat his own biscoff cookies; she had been hoping to at least snag his. I then learned that Faith will not drink anything at all on a plane because she is scared of those bathrooms. What a wimp. She's way too big to get sucked down through the toilet so what's to fear? Personally, I'm glad she had that fear because I could have falled in and been lost forever.
Their flight arrives at 4:30. They are met by Bob from ****** because Faith doesn't think the Magical Express is magical. I'm sure you guys know what that means. They make their grocery stop for water and sodas and arrive at the Beach Club at 6:10pm. They walk into the lobby and the checkin line is stretched across the lobby. The BC soon gets more help and they are checked in quickly. Vik and Mike have a gift basket waiting for them from Peggy's Sweets & More. Faith had ordered it with a note saying "We hope you enjoy your first trip to WDW". Ohhhhhhh, what a sweet gesture. I sit in my hot plastic, sweaty envelope and look out at those cute Mickey ears, pins, photo frames, etc in that basket. Sometimes it's hard not to be bitter.
It was a very nice basket and I would highly recommend that someone purchase one for me if I ever get to go again.
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/990103765_217.jpg
They head up to their 2 bedroom condo. There's a bedroom for Mike and Vik and a bedroom for Faith and Mo. Again, no consideration for me. I guess I'll take one of the 2 sleeper sofas. The condo is very nice. Obviously, Faith could afford to pay me a better salary if she can afford to stay at a place like this. I'll have to talk to her about that after we get home. Vik and Mike are thrilled that they are staying there for free.
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/101_0114.jpg
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/101_0115.jpg
Mike is exhausted and flops onto the sofa. He likes to do lots of relaxing on his vacations. That is going to be a problem. For him. Not Faith. Faith immediately announces, "Let's go to Epcot". She is anxious to get this vacation started.
So what will be the first thing Faith does on her vacation? I was surprised.

:yay: Hi Flat Sharon! It's Flat Lynn here! Not to be confused with the real Lynn who is also as flat as a 10 yr old boy :lmao: ( don't tell her I said that).
I can't tell you how excited I am to read a report from a "Flattie" instead of a coolie! All us Flatties know how PHAT we are ---( you do know what that means don't you? )
Pakey's dogs are so ugly they are cute-pimples and all!
I love Pakey's short hair. It's like my 3-D counter parts' hair - short and attitude!
My 3D Lynn could never pack the way Pakey does. She's way too anal. ( Can we say anal here?) Everything has to be folded neatly and arranged by outfit (Including accessories) per day. It takes weeks! Not Minutes!!!
I can't believe that Cinnabon Breath Man wouldn't give Pakey his cookie.! No real 3- d person can go 14 hours with only a couple of peanuts for substanence. I hope they at least let her buy a couple of Mimosas!
Pakey sounds like one of the best people in the real world if she took her cousin ( best friend) on her trip and got that really SWEET gift basket for them!
Cinnabon Man better not slow down the touring! can't wait to read more!!!
What an interesting point of view for a report. :) Can't wait to hear more.
Packing the morning of the trip? :crazy2: I'd be a nervous wreck!
Oh, how could she go 14 hours without a decent meal? :faint:

Thanks to all of you who are reading my trip report. Faith would be so jealous to know that you guys are paying more attention to me than you would to her. And I hope you noticed in my photo that I have much nicer hair than she does. :rotfl:
I'll try to update tomorrow but it might be difficult with the Super Bowl on. In the next installment, I may finally get a bit to eat. I tell you, I'm starving. So far Faith hasn't been any more fun to vacation with than she is to work with. At least at work there's a Krispy Kreme box thrown our way once in awhile.

Hellllooooo again. It's me, Stowaway FlatSharon, with another update. When I left off last time, Faith was trying to get everyone to give up the thought of relaxing and heading to Epcot.
I must say that I'm pretty impressed with how convenient it is to stay at the Beach Club and walk to Epcot. Faith and Mo stop at guest relations to get their new annual passes. Immediately, Faith starts whining because Mo's pass has a picture of Tinkerbell and she gets The Incredibles. Like I told you before, she is so picky.
They get into the park and head to a bridge to the right. Faith immediately heads over to this woman wearing a uniform with a big camera. Faith tells her she wants their picture taken. I was shocked. Faith does not like attention on herself but she plops herself front and center for the photograph. She's lost a few pounds and now thinks she is a contestant on American's Top Model or something. Can you see me peeking out behind that green mickey on her lanyard? She still hasn't figured out I'm along for the ride.
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/image002.jpg
While Mo is getting the card from the photographer, Faith takes off across the bridge. She's picking up speed. She's moving faster than a snowball rolling downhill. She leaves the rest of the group wondering what is going on. I was bouncing around on that lanyard pretty hard. After she gets over that bridge, she gets into a line. The rest of the group catches up with her. When she gets to the front of the line, she says "I'll have a Grey Goose slushie please." Ahhh. She declares herself officially on vacation. Everyone else grabs a drink also. Nobody realizes I'm there so I didn't get a chance to taste any of the drinks but everyone declares them to be delicious. No, she is not drunk in this picture even though she looks it. So much for that potential career in modeling, she can't even keep her eyes open.
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/990103765_017.jpg
Although they are all starving, they decide to walk around the lake with all the buildings of countries because they have a little time to kill until their dinner reservations. They tossed back those French drinks pretty quickly because by the time they got to Italy, their glasses were empty. Vik declares that bellinis are her favorite drink so Mo goes to the stand to buy Vik and Faith each one. Vik sees the price, her first sticker shock at WDW, and declares that she will only have this one. Faith comments that they are not her favorite drink but it didn't stop her from drinking it.
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/101_0099.jpg
They start walking again and Mike is complaining that it's too dark to see anything. They are not stopping to look; they just keep walking. They get to China and there is another one of those photographers there. Faith says she prepurchased a Photopass CD and they might as well take all the pictures they can.
Mo hands over the Photopass card and the 4 of them line up for their pose. The photographer tells them to move back, then move to the right, then move back some more, then move a little more to the right. The group is laughing pretty hard by now as they inch into position. They are pretty sure that this will be a bad photo but it actually turns out nice. It's one of the few photos were Mike actually smiles as he's very aware of his new braces.
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/image009.jpg
After this photo, the group decides to pick up the pace so that they can head to the Yacht Club where they are having dinner at the Yachtsman Steakhouse. Vik and Mike are already starting to tire as they are not used to doing much walking. Mo golfs all of the time and is in great shape and Faith is fine because she is wearing these:
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/990103765_188.jpg
They get to the Yachtsman Steakhouse at 9:00 pm for their ADR's. Wow, what a gorgeous hotel this is. Faith and Mo have stayed here before and it's their favorite resort of all. I don't know what an ADR is but it sounds official. Everyone is starving--those Delta biscoff cookies wore off a long time ago. The Yachtsman is a very nice place. It's nice and quiet and somewhat fancy but not overly stuffy. I was definitely ready to find some food myself. They are starving and order an appetizer. What do they get. Raw ahi tuna. Are you kidding me? I stow away with people who eat food like this? What am I going to do for a week? Geesh. Well they enjoy it but I decide to wait for the entree. Everyone orders a ribeye. When I heard that, I was very excited. I am a huge fan of the red meat. Faith isn't supposed to eat red meat so I was happy with this little turn of events.
The food arrives and I can't believe it. Faith likes her meat rare and I mean rare. I'm pretty sure that steak is moving across her plate. For 2 years I've only seen her eat lean cuisines so I wasn't prepared for seeing her dig into that steak like that. I'm sure if I had come close to it, she would have growled at me.
They are so hungry that Faith and Vik forget to take pictures of the food. The guys didn't know that all future meals would be delayed while extensive photographing was done from all angles of each course. But this night, they just get to eat those steaks. Everyone declares them to be excellent but I can't speak from firsthand experience because I am not going to eat live cow.
Before they left home, Faith swore to everyone that she was not going to order any desserts while at WDW. She'd been working hard with her peep weight loss group and she didn't want to blow it. Well, that vow lasted all the way through the steak course. Faith orders creme brulee and it is finally my chance to sneak out and grab a bite to eat while she is fiddling with her camera.
Here's a picture of me diving into the creme brulee.
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/101_0104.jpg
Oh my, it is good. I have a sugar rush but it is so worth it.
Then it's time to end the day. Faith asks Vik what she wants to do first the following day and Vik doesn't hesitate. It's Tower of Terror. I don't know what that is but it sounds kind of scary. I must warn you, though, it won't be the scariest thing this group encounters on their first full day at WDW.
And what is the first thing that Faith discovers she forgot to pack?

Well, Danielle, the hair is pretty well slicked up with gel. That southern humidity is not kind to Faith's hair. Without gel, it's 100% exactly like Kramer's hair in Seinfeld. It wasn't attractive on him and it's certainly not a good look for Faith.
I'm really enjoying your report - so funny! Glad that you finally got some food FlatSharon! :) Pakey - you look great! :thumbsup2

Regardless of what FlatSharon may write in this trip report, we definitely go for the food. We always go to BOMA on our first night of each trip but this time we changed it up and did Yachtsman. If you like garlic, they have a roasted garlic spread that they serve with the bread. Mo thinks it's fabulous but I can't do it. It's so much garlic that it would definitely keep the vampires at bay.
And stay tuned. FlatSharon won't be any happier with the food the next day either.

Judi, of course I didn't wash my feet first. That's part of my revenge for not being invited on the trip. Faith did say it was one of the best creme brulee's she'd ever had so I'm thinking my feet added to the flavor. It won't be the last time this week I stick my feet in her food either.

Flat Lynn, Faith said that because there was lemon in the Grey Goose slushie, that was legally a food item, not a drink.

Now Kari, Faith is pretty proud of those dogs. She carries no photos of her children or grandson but she could whip out a photo of those 2 dogs at any time. The truth is she didn't want anyone competing with her hairstyles, including her dogs, so she had to get hairless ones. After all, she is the queen bee.
I hope to get another update posted later this afternoon/evening. Faith has me working pretty hard today. I know you guys are just dying to know what stupid thing she does next.

Hi guys. FlatSharon here again, ready to post the next bit of my Stowaway Diary. I left you all hanging on by a thread wondering what was the FIRST thing discovered that Faith forget to pack. Please remember that I wrote FIRST.
It's Monday morning, the first full day to spend at WDW. Everyone gets up at their own pace, no alarm clocks were set, no plans were made. Soon, everyone in the condo knows what Ms. Expert forgot to pack. She forgot to throw in her deoderant. Mo offers to go down to the Marketplace store and get her some but she decides no, she'll just use Mo's. Guys, it's Old Spice. Pretty manly smelling and it does not go at all with her Givency perfume. She may not have realized what a bad combination it was but I had to ride around in that lanyard all day. Trust me, it made me lightheaded.
Mo and Mike ate some muffins at the condo and then they headed over to the Yacht Club marina to catch a boat to Hollywood Studios.
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/101_0121-1.jpg
It's a very relaxing ride and the air flow helps dissapate the smell of that Old Spice. When they get to the park, Faith mentions that the park name has been changed on the sign. I jump up for a quick peek.
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/101_0122.jpg
They enter the park and it's pretty empty. They get a photopass shot right in front of that big blue hat thing. Not sure what that is but it's huge.
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/image012.jpg
The photographer then hands Faith a Dream pin. Actually, she gets 2, one to keep and one to share. She's all excited. It's amazing how getting something for free excites a person, especially an accountant. Notice how her hair is flatter on one side than the other. She must not have gotten the hair gel evenly distributed this morning.
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/990103765_189.jpg
Faith says she'll be on the lookout for the perfect person to give the other pin to but right now it's all about the Tower. This is Faith's favorite ride, she talks about it ALL of the time.
First, another photopass picture:
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/image016.jpg
Have you noticed yet that they are lined up in the same order in each photo? If you don't know this, Faith has OCD. At some point down the road, the lineup does get changed but only because Vik insists. Also check out Mo's expression. Doesn't he look excited to go on Tower? Not his favorite ride.
While they are all trying to look pretty, I jump up again for my own shot:
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/100_0029.jpg
There's a 5 minute standby time. They get in line and all of a sudden, 5 minutes seems way too long. The true terror of this vacation is standing right in front of them. Everyone comes to refer to him as the Selsun Blue Guy. He has dandruff so bad that his ears had piles like snow on windowsills. I am so grateful to be in my plastic lanyard and am protected from the fallout. The rest of the group tries to keep their distance and they made sure to get in a different line once we got into the basement. Selsun Blue Guy would be the topic of many conversations this week, let me tell you.
So they ride. And drop. That is the scariest thing I've ever done because that lanyard drifted upward and I thought I was floating in space. Faith is not happy with the group photo and insists that everyone ride again. Mo doesn't want to because he hates this ride but Faith insists and he does what he's told. And with those short lines, there's no excuse she will accept. So they get back in line. They ride. They drop. Again. But it's another bad picture. When Faith says "lets go again", Mike says he is done riding the Tower of Power. Vik tells Faith they'll return later and she is forced to cave.
Faith then drags them over to the Rocking Coaster Ride. I'm pretty excited because I like coasters.
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/100_0031.jpg
Mo hates this ride even worse than Tower but agrees to go so that Faith can get the picture. Faith lies to Mike, who has a very queasy stomach, and tells him this ride has a fast takeoff but it's all downhill after that. So he goes. After the ride, Faith has to help Vik off the coaster. She is wobbly. Mike is green. Mo has a headache. But Faith got her pics and that's what counts. I didn't get to see much of this ride because as soon as that thing took off, Faith's lanyard flew back and I just hung on for dear life.
Everyone tells Faith no more rides for awhile. Faith says "Great, we'll do a character meet". Sure, that's what all 50 year old men want to do. Faith pushes them all over to where Buzz and Woody hang out. Mike absolutely refuses to do it. Mo wanted to do it but Faith decides it's a girls only shoot.
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/image022.jpg
Faith and Vik actually stand in line and discuss who is going to stand by whom in the picture. I'm telling you, this is going to be a long vacation.
Next, Faith wants to take her picture with a raining umbrella. This makes no sense to anyone else in the group, including me. So off they go, following the pied piper once again. When they get to this pole, Faith hands Mo the camera. That is rare. She likes to control the camera along with everything else. She gets in position and then Mo says "Faith, you have no room on this camera". So she gets off the pole and checks it out and sure enough, Faith has brought the wrong memory chip for the camera. This chip is full from their Las Vegas vacation and she hasn't uploaded the pictures yet. Mo says he'll run and buy another chip, which he does. In my mind I'm thinking that Faith's 10 minute packing plan isn't working out so well for her. I'm sure that new memory card was an absolute steal having to buy it at a place that charges $10 for a 2oz bellini drink. By this time, Faith is a little impatient and the pic doesn't come out all that well.
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/100_0002.jpg
Does she appear to be scowling. I think so. She did get pretty wet. And the pants are too baggy and unflattering. Faith wants to retake but everyone else says NO.
Now it's time for lunch. Will I get anything at all to eat? And since it's Hollywood Studios, will it be any good? Has she forgotten about her Share A Dream Pin? And will Faith embarrass me before this day is over?

Judi, Faith likes that top too. She got it at a cirque de soleil show. And it's really okay if you reply to a paper doll as long as she's wearing Mickey ears. Did you notice the nice plaid dress has a Mickey emblem on it though. That makes up for the lack of shoes.
Great update Sharon - can't wait to read more!!
Thanks for sticking with it. I can be longwinded sometimes.

Well Faith's just a little self concious about the hair. She lost it in chemo and she's not sure if being totally bald or having this "do" is worse. I think the worst part is that she now looks almost exactly like her father. Combined with the Old Spice, it's a bit much for her.
good report.
Thanks for tagging along. Us Flat People like lots of attention.

Can you tell in the pics how much fun the guys are having on this trip? I know every forced smile picture from Mo, he's really thinking "I'd so much rather be golfing".
The crowds were very low. It's been like that for every January trip so I'm expecting May to be a real shocker for Faith and Mo. And I'll probably need to get shoes for that trip because the walkways will be too hot to go barefoot.
The weather was great. Stay tuned for when the next day rolls around because it really changed.

Uhh, the hair is like Mr. King's if the hair gel is not used. Well, it's brown instead of black but the shape is accurate. It takes quite a bit of effort to tame the beast and get it to lay down for awhile.
And thanks for the tip on the cd although it doesn't do much good NOW.
And yes I will pay Disney prices for memory but then I'll pay more for a drink at Disney than I'll spend on the clothes I'm wearing while I'm buying the drink. Being an accountant means a person can count, doesn't mean they are smart.

Hi Tina. Glad you are back up and running. Faith was very upset that you weren't able to come read all about her. She's pretty vain and knew that this trip report would be one of the highlights of your week. I'm sure it's a close second to getting a brand new laptop (hope it's super-dooper fast).

WHAT????? Are you kidding me? That can't be true. Wait a minute, I know who you are. Faith has mentioned you and has said that she "chats" with you at night. Maybe with the time zone difference, you are confused about her work hours. I'm 100% positive that Faith NEVER uses her work computer for personal stuff.
I did ask Faith today at work why she was so grumpy and she said it was because of the computer system being down. I just thought it was because she wasn't able to get as much work done. Now you're telling me that her inability to finish her property tax projections wasn't the reason she needed that internet today?

Hi again guys. It's time for me to give you another wonderful update of life with Faith on vacation.
I left you with her umbrella/pole antics. After all of that fretting, the group is ready for lunch. Faith had ADR's for Sci Fi. I know, I know. It's loathed by the minions (credit once again to AUdis for that word) of dissers but Faith likes the place. She's from the era when those movies were actually popular.
I think the place looks pretty interesting myself.
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/101_0123.jpg
So the group gets their little car.
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/990201571_170.jpg
Everyone orders burgers, fries and shakes with sides of onion rings. Except Faith. Now she's trying to be a good peep so she orders a turkey sandwich with a side salad and an iced tea. Disney's attempt to provide healthy choices. Well, everyone loves their burgers. And the shakes are excellent.
And then there's Faith's sandwich:
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/101_0126.jpg
Get a good look at that salad. It had unripe watermelon, cucumber and red onion. Does anyone think that makes a good combination? And the bread on that sandwich had to have been baked sometime during WWII. Just terrible. Once again I realize I'm traveling with the wrong person. Faith can't stomach this food either and she's pretty depressed that everyone else ordered good burgers.
I got lucky though. Mo couldn't finish his onion rings and I was able to jump out and snag it pretty quickly.
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/101_0125-1.jpg
After this feast, Faith decides she needed something to cheer her up. What would work? Well of course, a meet and greet with her old pal from Monsters Inc. Vik has no idea who Sully is but Faith says "trust me". Mike rolls his eyes and decides to head off to find a churro stand. Mo decides a Mickey ice cream sounds better than another character line. So it's just Faith and Vik and several of their closest toddler friends standing in line for Sully to open his door. Faith pulls out her compact and lipstick and starts refreshing. She looks over and Vik is doing the same thing. Faith starts laughing out of control. Vik asks what's wrong and Faith explains that here they are, 2 women in their 50's, standing in a line where the next oldest person is 4 years old, and they are getting all dolled up to take their picture with an 8ft blue hairy monster. That got Vik laughing too and they started feeding off of each other's laughter. I wish I could have crawled out of that lanyard and went anywhere else. I'm sure the parents waiting with their children are still talking about the lipstick ladies from that day.
The ladies were happy with the pics though:
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/image029.jpg
After meeting Sully, the group does a few more attractions. Faith finally finds the perfect person to Share a Pin with. She is this cute little 5 year old girl in a Tink costume. Faith says she thought of her friend, Kari's, DD when she saw her. The little girl is thrilled to get this Tink pin and it makes Faith feel like a big shot. All is right with the world.
As the afternoon wears on, Vik and Mike are very tired. Vik says her tennis shoes are killing her and she's switching to Easy Stride shoes for the next day. Faith just smiles and points at her crocs. She knows better.
The group decides a short break at the condo before dinner will be great. Now, will dinner be any better than lunch? And will they see anything more amazing than Wishes?

I see nothing wrong in two grown women applying lipstick while waiting in line with a bunch of 4 year olds to have their picture taking with a 8ft hair monster. Just so you know when I last went to WDW in 2004 my boys were 5and 2 and thus mommy would stand in line for the character photos and autographs for the "kids" (wink, wink) Yes I also did ask my DH if my hair looked ok and yes I was the oldest but I say who cares I'm in Disney.

It was so tough for Faith not to order a shake especially since Mike kept going on and on about how great his strawberry one was. That's right, churro man, you had to rub it in.
Faith knew when she got that pin that it would have to be shared with a young tink lover. And we can't wait to see the pics of Kaitlyn in her tink suit.
OOO Old Spice! Do me a favor. If we meet up at DL, don't wear the Old Spice. I find it powerful stimulatin', and might embarrass myself.;)
Danielle, Faith never forgets the same thing twice. Next trip it will be something else. And she's not quite done forgetting on this trip too.
I've been going back and forth about trying to book the Sci-Fi for my imaginary trip in Sept. Is it that bad?
Cute that the girls put on their lipstick for Sully. :cutie:
We've gotta nail Vik down and make her watch some Disney movies! :3dglasses
OH! And the glowtini picture is from Kona. Not long after the siggie picture was taken, my son reached his filthy little paw into my glowtini and took my glow cube....thus sucking all the magic out of my drink...and into his Sprite. The glowtini's are good but very sweet. And very pricey.
The only Disney movies Vik has seen are the old classics. Last one was Jungle Book, nothing since. Hard to believe, huh?
SciFi is lots of fun. Just don't stray from the path of burgers, fries, shakes.
And once you take the cube out of the glowtini, how much drink is there really put into those small glasses?
Salad? No wonder they call it the Sci-fi http://bestsmileys.com/aliens/15.gif he took off with the makings.
Flat Sharon, fill us in on what Pakey & Mo we're doin' in the back seat. She sure wasn't eating. (drive in era age my self);) Plus that would explain the need for a lipstick touch-up.
Excellent choice for pin giving. You are now a hero in a child's eye:lovestruc

Well Judi, since you and Faith are of the same era, you should know that Faith has finally learned how to behave at drive-ins. At least that's her story and there were no fogged-up windows to prove otherwise.
Oh you poor thing. You were trying so hard to be good at WDW and look what they served you. Was the sandwich good at least? Did you eat that "salad"?
I see nothing wrong in two grown women applying lipstick while waiting in line with a bunch of 4 year olds to have their picture taking with a 8ft hair monster. Just so you know when I last went to WDW in 2004 my boys were 5and 2 and thus mommy would stand in line for the character photos and autographs for the "kids" (wink, wink) Yes I also did ask my DH if my hair looked ok and yes I was the oldest but I say who cares I'm in Disney.
That was very nice of you. I bet you made her day.:thumbsup2
Are crocs that comfy? I wore Birkenstocks the last time at Disney and my feet were ok but crocs cover your toes which is a good thing.
Laura, Faith tried so hard to be a good peep on this trip but the stars were not aligned for her many times. No, the sandwich was as bad as the salad. She took the turkey out of the bread and slopped some mustard on the turkey and ate about half of it. She couldn't take any more.
And the crocs, Faith can't say enough about them. Faith even swears I'm getting a pair for the next trip.

Monica, it's nice to have another peep over here to help keep Faith on the straight and narrow. And just to let you know, she does lose that tube of lipstick before this trip ends. I think she did one too many character meets.

The onion ring was excellent. It did help get the bad taste of that salad and sandwich out of the mouth, too.
Faith isn't very photogenic but it's hard to look real bad standing next to an 8ft blue hairy monster. But I do think Sully would look better if he were sportin' some crocs!

Well guys I gave you a few days off from having to read this TR but it's time to finish off the day at DHS. All afternoon, Mike says he's tired so everyone agrees to head back to the condo. By the time they get to the big blue hat, Faith remembers that there are pics to be picked up at the Rocking Coaster ride. Mike says he's not walking all the way back down there. He gets as far as the bench by the Route 66 sign. Mo decides to stay with him while the girls head off to to the big guitar.
When they get there, there's a photopass photographer. Vik begs, she really wants a pic in front of that guitar so Faith agrees. If Faith thinks it was painful for her to pose, it is nothing compared to the pain of watching her attempt to do it. She has no rhythm whatsoever.
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/image075.jpg
The photographer says stuff to them like "work it girls" and Vik was very into it but Faith just struggles. Good thing the park was empty that day.
The group then heads back to the condo so that old man Mike can take a nap. Dinner reservations are at California Grill. Vik loves fireworks so Faith thought this would be a nice place to watch some. By the time Mike gets up, they are running a little close on time. Faith decides that since this is a fancier place, she's not wearing her lanyard. A moment of panic for me as I try to figure out what to do. I've got to go to dinner. I've only had a piece of onion ring all day. I jumped into the camera bag just in the nick of time. Faith says they are going to catch a bus to MK (?) and then walk. They are almost to the bus stop when they see the MK bus pull off. Faith gets a puzzled look on her face and uses her manual calculator. That means her fingers. She discovers that if they wait for the next bus, they'll be late. So the group gets a cab.
Ca Grill is packed when they get there. They wait in the lounge area for their buzzer to activate. None of the wait staff offer to take a drink order so they just wait. Vik did get one to stop and take a picture of all of them:
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/990103765_222.jpg
While waiting, Faith saw the most amazing thing. This woman, seated at a table, took her shoe off and put her foot up on the table to point something out to her husband. Now it's true she was not wearing crocs and her feet were probably killing her, but pleeeeeeze, there's no excuse for this breach. Faith kept talking about it. She can be obsessive that way. And she had plenty of time to rehash it because they didn't get a table until an hour past their ADR time.
But when they get the table, it is worth the wait. They got the best table in the place, a window table directly on the castle side. Faith is ga-ga because they'e eaten here about 20 times and this is the first time they have ever gotten a window table. On top of that, they are far away from Foot Lady.
They have a nice waiter, Gary, who recommends a bottle of wine. It's called Black Chicken. I sneak out and try some but no thanks, it's not to my liking. I'll just wait and steal some of Faith's food.
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/100_0038.jpg
Everyone got salad for appetizers except Mo. He gets fois gras. Faith loves fois gras but is trying to be peeplike still and watch what she eats. Yeah right, she's watching it go into her mouth.
Between the appetizers and the entree, the fireworks go off. It gets very quiet in the restaurant so we can hear all of the Wishes story and music. I've got to admit, that alone is a reason to go to WDW. I notice Faith wiping a tear away but she tries very hard to be discreet. She's not about to admit she's a goofball for Wishes.
When Wishes is over, Gary is right there with the entrees. I peek out from my lanyard and what do I see:
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/100_0041.jpg
Oh yummy yummy. Faith has ordered eel for dinner. I thought she had said VEAL. Holy watersnake Batman, I can't eat that. Faith gives a bite to Vik (who is also eating some raw slimy stuff) but Vik says Faith's is too fishy for her. Yikes. Why couldn't it have been veal? Anyway, Faith says is is excellent and cleans the plate. Ate every morsel of that nasty stuff.
Now it's time for dessert. Finally. I think I'm going to eat nothing but sugar for this entire trip. Faith gets some apple thing. While she's busy sampling Mike's strawberry trio, I jump out and stick my feet in Faith's ice cream. Well, I don't have crocs either so my feet hurt too.
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/100_0047.jpg
She doesn't like this dessert as well as Mike's and it could be because I had stomped though it but hey, she can eat eel, she can eat anything.
After this, it's time for bed and the first full day at WDW is over. They all have to get up very early the next morning for an appointment that Faith had made. Faith hates to get up early so what was so special that she actually had to set an alarm on vacation? And even better, was is Disney's take on Spain's Running of the Bulls.

And she put her foot on top of the table at CG, no class I say. Great update as usual.

Hey guys, remember me? I hope so. I'd hate for you to miss out on all of the excitement here.
Now it's Tuesday, the 2nd full day at the world. Faith had scheduled another surprise for this morning that requires everyone to get up very early while on vacation. Faith hates to get up early, never has a plan, so it is shocking to me that she did this. What did she do?
Well, she knew ahead of time that Mike was not going to be into all of the Mickey Love happening around the World. He's a history buff so she did the best she could come up with to plan something for Mike. She booked the Keys to the Kingdom Tour. The only problem with this tour is that all of the start times are before lunch.
The plan is that everyone is to be checked in at the Magic Kingdom at 8:15 for this tour. That means everyone has to get out of bed by 6:30. Sure, sounds like a great vacation doesn't it? Yowzers, that's early. Vik and Mo have no problem with this but Faith and Mike struggled. And when they do finally struggle out of bed, they check the weather and it's cold. These people are wimpy Californians but it is in the 40's. They are so glad they had packed gloves. Wait a minute. Newsflash here. Captain FastPacker will now be known as Ms Michael Jackson as Faith only packed one glove. I'm sure when she was tossing stuff from drawers into the suitcase like she was hiking a football, one of those gloves didn't quite hit the target. Oh well, Faith figures she'll wear one and keep the other hand in her pocket. LAME-O.
They leave the condo and Faith already realizes that they are running a bit behind. Notice the pattern with this problem? So Faith decides that another cab is necessary. They jump in the cab and Faith says "Magic Kingdom". How many of you are groaning right now? If you take a cab to MK where does it drop you off? At a place called the Ticket and Transportation Center. At 8:00 in the morning, it's a pretty empty place. It was like WallyWorld. Faith mutters to herself "I should have said Contemporary" and then tells the group to hurry to the monorail because they are now going to be LATE.
If any of you were at the MK on the morning of Jan 21, I apologize. You were probably run down by one of these 4 as they gallop off the monorail heading to the special line for early entrance at the MK. Faith is yelling at Mo whose in the lead but going the wrong way (he's so used to just following Faith that the man appears to be a first time visitor).
I'm not as winded as the 3-D group I'm with so I stop for a photo:
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/100_0071.jpg
And get my first view of the castle:
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/990103765_221.jpg
And an empty Main Street:
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/990103765_226.jpg
My group are the last to check in for the tour but at least they didn't miss it. Matthew was our guide and I tell you, I am smitten with him. He is very good and oh so funny. I'm not going to tell you much about this tour because everyone should have the chance to go on it and discover the secrets on their own. But I am going to tell you 2 things.
Since our tour starts before the park opens, we are at the far end of Main Street by that castle. Matthew pulls everyone over to the side and invites us to watch Disney's version of the Running of the Bulls. So he has everyone turn around and face back towards the entrance. As the rope drops, Matthew says "We call this the Running of the Strollers". And if I actually went to the bathroom, I would have wet myself at this moment. I could hear the Chariots of Fire theme music running through my little laminated brain as I watched the surge of strollers running towards the castle.
Everyone learns a lot on this tour. It's almost 6 hours long. Faith and Vik are so mesmerized that they do not take photos. One thing the group learns is that on the Jungle Cruise ride, one of the natives says "I Love Disco". I thought that was pretty spiffy as I'm a disco era laminate.
Lunch is included with the tour. It is at Columbia Harbor House. Everyone has chicken salads and they are good. Too soon the break is over and they are back on their feet. It's a pretty long tour with few opportunities to get off the feet. Vik says that her feet hurt just as much in the Easy Strides as they did in the tennis shoes. Faith justs nods, smiles, and points down to the beautiful crocs which are covering the happy little tooties.
After the tour, the group does a few rides (they walk onto everything as nobody is here today), including one of Faith's favs. Buzz Lightyear. When they got off that, Vik declares that she got 1700 points. Faith said "you mean 17000?". Vik says no, 1700. Wow. That's pretty bad. I think they give you 1500 pity points when you start the ride. How can anyone be that bad? Faith doesn't say anything to Vik's face but she does mention it to Mo later that even Anderson could get more than 1700 points. It makes Faith's 32000 points seem pretty good.
It's time for the parade and because there are no people at WDW, they get up front spots. Afterwards, Faith finds a photopass opportunity:
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/image092.jpg
It has warmed up enough to remove gloves but coats are still needed. Even though it's quite cold, Faith and Vik slip off their jackets to look their best.
The day went by so fast and the group has to leave here because they have dinner at a 50 place somewhere else. And EMH, whatever that is.
And the question up next is how many drops does it take for Faith to be happy with a picture?

Faith made Mo do Cindy's lunch a few trips ago. The KTTK was still part of the attempt to make up for that. And they were all shocked that no one took a drink order at Ca Grill. But they did have foot lady to entertain them so the time went by fast enough. And they did make up for it with that bottle of Black Chicken wine.
And Faith likes to book things that make it appear as if she's making these grand gestures for everyone. But the truth is that she only books things that she is interested in and then tells Mo she is doing it for others so that he doesn't gripe about the cost. Trust me, if Mike had liked fishing, she would not have booked a fishing expedition.

Judi, I never thought about it being 3:30 on the left coast. No wonder Faith can't drag her carcass out that early. Main Street wasn't too much more crowded on the way out either. It was a lonely week there.

It is a great tour and I did learn that the reason they do not allow children on the tour is because of Disney's commitment to preserve the magic for its young visitors. Even on parts of the tour after the park opened, Matthew would move us away or speak very quietly to make sure that little ears couldn't hear any of the secrets.

I totally agree. I think that's great that he whispered so the little ears wouldn't hear. I hate when people say out loud that there is someone in the bunny at the mall for easter. pisses me off I tell ya.
Well Faith wasn't happy to see Woody carrying his head and even worse, Bullseye without his pants. It was hard to concentrate on what Matthew was talking about when those two walked by half nekked.
Hey Sharon! Great update! The tour sounds neat. That silly Faith and her one glove! Tell her that I'll email her my packing lists if she wants!
Also, tell Faith that I don't appreciate her making fun of us who are laser gun impaired! I think I got a 500! I think my gun was broken!:rolleyes1
500. Monica, no way. Did the broken gun story work on Hunter and Megan cuz I'm sure not buying it.

Sharon, you are indeed a very talented writer. I laughed the whole time, out loud. My cats think something is wrong with me (Simba has no room to toss out judgement). I have never done this tour because I'm afraid I can't get up that early. Maybe next time, it sounds fun.
Lovin all your updates, can't wait for more.

Kimmy, Simba better not be looking at you funny. That is one cat that should be very grateful, after spending hours picking those static balls from the fur. StatiCat (sorry the name is stuck forever) should be up making you dinner or something.
Now I wish Faith had asked why those tours start so early. But she was having enough problems that day without opening mouth and expecting strings of words to flow out.

She kept hinting to Mo to possibly snag his gloves but he was pretending to be hard of hearing, a defense mechanism he has perfected. Oh well, she only suffered for the first 4 hours.

The only thing better from your retelling of the running of the strollers is if they actually played the theme from Chariots of Fire.
I didn't see if you posted this, but what were the dates again that you went on this trip?
I love my crocs just as much as you do. I get laughed at and I can hear snickers when I'm out and about, but let me tell you. My feet don't ever hurt anymore. Nor does my back.

Tracy, I think as much as you and Bill both love WDW, you would definitely enjoy this tour. Well, except for the getting up before the chickens part. I think having the right guide will also make a huge difference. As much as we loved this tour, I can't imagine taking it with anyone other than Matthew. He obviously loves working for Disney and it showed in everything he said and did. So although we found out some secrets behind the magic, we also got to feel the magic of loving Disney through Matthews eyes and that was great.
And the Running of the Strollers will live in our hearts and minds forever.

Hi Charlene. What made it funny was that Vik didn't realize that 1700 was probably the worst score ever recorded. Before the next trip in May, Faith says she's going to do some finger strengthening exercises so that she can shoot away through the entire ride instead of getting tired. She's got to do a lot of practice on that trip because next Jan, she's taking her 4 year old grandson and she doesn't want to get beat too badly.

We were there the 3rd week of Jan, we did this tour on Jan 21.
Faith does love her crocs more than anything. If the house were burning, that's probably be the second thing she grabbed (after her rat dogs). There is one day coming up in this trip where she wore tennies though because the group refused to go out with her in dark brown capri pants and those red crocs. She conceded to the majority but swears it'll never happen again as she was definitely not as comfortable in the sneakers.
we can do the tour on our coolies trip!:cool1:
Absolutely. And one of the coolies can help Faith remember to pack all necessities.
So, is Woody that tall underneath his costume? How does a horse wear pants? I am so confused.....
No Woody was considerably shorter. Kids who can't make that 48" requirement should borrow that head and then they'd have no problems. And how does a horse wear pants? Very carefully or else the tail isn't lined up correctly.

Well guys, let's get this Tuesday finished up here, shall we?
I left you with the Freaky Foursome hanging out on Main Street at Magic Kingdom. They have dinner reservations at 50's Prime Time at the park we were at yesterday. I don't know about you guys but it sounds like Faith didn't plan her days very well. Anway, the 3 followers look at Faith for guidance on how to get from Point A to Point B. She says "follow me" and off they go.
She decides that the most fun way will be to take the monorail from Magic Kingdom to Epcot, walk through Epcot and then take the boat to Hollywood Studios. They have some time to kill so it's now an official plan. She also wants to give Mike and Vik a chance to see the monorail resorts as they will not be returning to Magic Kingdom on this trip.
Here they are on the monorail:
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/100_0073.jpg
I also got to take a few peeks myself:
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/100_0074.jpg
That's the Grand Floridian. Faith and Mo stayed there on their very first trip together. They stayed in the big main building and still talk about it.
They get over to Epcot and of course, have to take a picture in front of that big ball which is even more weird than the big hat at Hollywood Studios.
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/image044.jpg
And who should appear to surprise everyone, Tinkerbell!
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/image047.jpg
Of course I have to get into the action myself:
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/100_0081.jpg
Even though Mike and Vikki have commented for 2 days how bad their feet hurt, Faith makes them walk all the way through Epcot. When they get to the bridge in that World Showcase, Faith says "oh we have a few minutes" and heads over to:
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/100_0088.jpg
Look at her hair again. She should have spent some time doing damage control instead of drinking. It's freezing outside, nobody else wanted a drink, Faith has said all day that she is cold. Still, she has to buy a frozen drink.
As soon as she gets the drink in hand, she tells the rest of them they need to get going or they'll be late. They get to the exit and the lady working the turnstiles tells Faith she can't come through with that drink. So as everyone waits for Faith to drink that Slushie, they watch the boat to Hollywood Studios leave. Uh-oh. It will 20 minutes before the next boat.
Let me just say that the only restaurant Vik selected for this trip was 50's. All other choices were Faith's. Nobody is saying much but the rest of them are thinking that it's Faith's fault if they miss this dinner. And they are hungry. Possibly getting mean too. By the time that next boat arrives, it's obvious that they will be more than 15 minutes late for their reservation. Vik is almost in tears. So Faith convinces Mo that when the boat docks, he should run to see if they will hold the reservation. Now, if you recall from the last installment, Mo had to start this day running because of Faith. Looks like he's going to end it running too. I do not understand why he stays married to her. Maybe he likes her hair.
So Mo runs. Faith herds Vik and Mike on aching feet. This place is packed so they got lucky. This is not one of Mo's favorite places but Vik is so excited to be here. Things got better for Faith when a woman comes up and notices Faith's green Mickey head and introduces herself as Goofy4Tink, a moderator on the Transportation Boards. I have no idea what that means but she and Faith talk in some kind of foreign language that the rest of the group does not understand.
They are very excited to get seated:
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/100_0094.jpg
Faith orders a drink with a lighted ice cube. She seems excited by that. I don't know why as they can be purchased at our local grocery store. Whatever blows her skirt up though. When she isn't looking, I help myself to some of that Picnic Punch.
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/100_0097.jpg
I was just going to sit on that piece of orange and take a sip now and then, but before I know it, I've gone and drank the entire thing.
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/100_0107.jpg
Now, I'm not feeling so well. The rest of the group chats with the party at the next table (who are from Texas) while they wait for their food. As soon as the food arrives, I jump over to get a bite to absorb some of that punch.
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/100_0105.jpg
Everyone has the chicken, except for Mo, who has meatloaf. Faith only eats one piece of chicken but ate all of the collard greens because she loves them. Plus she wants dessert and I guess you have to eat all your vegetables here. I do not think it mattered because the waitress was not into playacting at all. Faith comments that they never get a fun waitress here.
Well, everyone orders dessert. Faith and Mo split a smores and I couldn't resist:
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/100_0117-1.jpg
Boy oh boy, were those good. My feet were stuck in that marshmellow pretty good. Faith can keep her fancy creme brulees; I'd take that dessert again every time.
Faith decides that she wants another ice cube in a different color. So before they can leave, Mo orders another punch in a go-cup that they are going to share. This way Faith has a red ice cube and a blue ice cube. Don't they look cute sharing that drink?
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/100_0112.jpg
I stay completely out of this one. I'd had plenty.
That night, Hollywood Studios had something called EMH. I think it stands for Extra Money Hour. You can stay late and do more shopping so Disney can get more of your money. They decide to stay for awhile and get some ugly plastic bracelets. Mo and Mike want to go back to the condo because it's now dark and freezing outside. However, Faith has not gotten that Tower of Terror picture yet and it's the last chance. Mike and Mo find a bench to wait. They are not riding. And Mo asks Faith to please hurry because it's so cold.
Faith and Vik head to the tower and it's empty. They walk right on and drop. Faith doesn't like the picture. So they go again. And again. And again. Faith wants Vik to get comfortable enough to raise her arms for the photo but Vik is too scared. Finally, a 7 year old boy named Ryan shames Vik into doing it. He is riding with his mom and he's begging everyone on the ride to raise their arms. Vik manages to do it and Faith is happy with the pic and buys it. They have to wait on the pic but since the place is empty, it does not take long.
They rode 7 times straight to get that picture. And I have to point out that Faith didn't want their jackets showing in the picture so they had to ride without wearing them. It was dang cold in that elevator shaft, especially when those doors opened and that cold air blasted them. Also, Faith didn't like her lanyard floating around so she kept tucking it into the seatbelt so I'm suffocating each time.
After these 7 drops, they return to the bench to find the guys sitting there shivering. Faith calmly lies and tells them sorry for the wait but the line was pretty bad. She does not show them the photo because they would have noticed that the car was half empty.
Sorry I can't post the picture but I do not know how to upload a scanned picture. You'll just have to trust me that Faith and Vik look great in it.
So this ends Day 2 and the group heads back to the condo.
Next up: Animal Kingdom and Vik shows her true colors. And what will be the next lie out of Faith's mouth?

That slushie drink is in France at Epcot. Warning, it does contain alcohol. If you look at the pic of her holding the drink, you can see the stand where she bought it behind her on the left.
And yes, I'm much luckier than Faith in that I can eat/drink anything and still maintain my girlish figure. If not, I'd try to become a Peep. Especially since Faith was told UtahMama springs for a free trip to the Grand Floridian once a peep meets his/her target weight.

Yes, Diane is very nice. Faith felt like she was meeting a celebrity. It was the first proof she had that dispeople really existed. I think that Mo was relieved because Faith certainly spends a lot of time talking to what could have been imaginary people.

Hi friends. Flat Sharon here. Back to start on Wednesday, Day 3. The Fantastic Four get ready to leave bright and early at 10:00am for Animal Kingdom. I'm pretty excited as it will be my very first Disney bus ride.
Here's Faith and Mo on the bus:
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/990103765_200-1.jpg
And here I am:
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/100_0124.jpg
The bus is empty. Everyday seems that way in January.
They arrive at the park. Vik spots Ballou, her very favorite of all characters. Mike groans. He assumed that Monday's pics would be the only character pics. Oh, is he wrong. Vik immediately gets in line. When she gets up to Ballou, she starts singing Bear Necessities. So Ballou dances with her. She's wearing her Mouse Ears and it's obvious she has found the magic.
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/100_0128.jpg
Then Faith spots Flick and gets all excited as she has never met Flick before.
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/100_0126.jpg
The group takes a few photopass pics:
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/image109.jpg
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/image095.jpg
And then they do the Simba pic. Notice how everyone looks at Baby Simba except for Faith. Oh no, the universe revolves around Faith so she looks front and center.
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/image098.jpg
Now it's time to head off towards the big mountain with snow. Faith wants to do that first. Vik's feet are hurting and she starts to fall behind but the other 3 do not notice. Faith is too busy talking.
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/990201571_132.jpg
She is telling Mike that the ride on that big mountain is not near as bad as the Rockin Coaster. This ride is smooth. It doesn't go upside down. It's not fast. So Mike is okay with going. When they get to the mountain the standby line is 30 minutes so they grab fastpasses before getting in the line. Faith says that way, they can ride again as soon as they are done with the first one.
I enjoy standing in this line. There are neat artifacts to look at. They get to the ride and Faith and Mo are in the second car with Mike and Vik right behind them. The ride takes off and when it gets to the part where it stops by some mangled tracks, Mike utters a bad word. It starts with an S. As the ride whips backwards, he says that word a lot. When the ride is over, Faith buys the pic. Mike wants to know what she was thinking when she recommended the ride. Faith plays innocent, says she didn't think that ride would bother anyone. Mike said he is done for awhile. Faith whimpers about the fastpasses. Mike said he's renaming the ride "Yakkity Yak Don't Come Back" and says maybe he'll be up to it after he eats something.
They go to Yak n Yeti for some lunch. Faith had a nice healthy peepful green salad. The rest get some chicken and rice thing. Mo had some eggrolls too and I was able to grab a bite.
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/100_0140.jpg
That hot mustard almost melted my laminate covering. But it did mask the smell of Old Spice. Yes, Faith is still wearing it.
After lunch, Faith is ready to use that fastpass. Mike and Mo are not interested so Faith and Vik ride alone and enjoy it even more. Then they head over to Dinoland to ride Dinosaur. They aren't aware I'm sneaking along but I almost get eaten by a creature here:
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/100_0152.jpg
It is a close call. And Mike finally finds a ride he likes.
They catch a couple of shows and then Mike wants to go to Rafiki's Planet Watch. Faith is not excited to go all the way out there but once she gets there, she's all excited. One of her favorite characters that she has never seen out before is there. Yes, it's Jiminy.
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/100_0168.jpg
After taking the pic, she starts whining again because she realizes she had her jacket tied around her waist and it will not look good. People, she's over 50 and she is standing next to a fake cartoon cricket. Do you think anyone's going to notice the jacket? Does anyone even want to see a picture of Faith with the cricket? I don't know. Before they leave, she decides that she has to go back and get another photo and tells Vik that if they do one together this time, it won't be so obvious that they are in line for the SECOND time. When they get up to Jiminy, Vik goes "Hi Jiminy. I'm BAAAACK". She said it just like Jack Nicholson in the Shining. So now they are not just weird, they are scary.
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/990103765_110.jpg
But it gets scarier. Mo decides that if they are going to do these pics, he's getting one too.
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/990201571_113.jpg
Don't you agree that his smile looks a little demented? And you have to know that poor Pocohontas was trembling in her moccasins. How many gray haired men get in line by themselves to take pictures with her? I do believe there are stalking laws in place.
After all of the posing, Faith goes outside and notices a trashcan moving and talking. She follows it. I've never heard of such a thing in all my life so I was glad to be hanging out with Faith this day. However, there are all these bratty kids there having fun with the trashcan so the trashcan isn't interested in an old lady. Don't those kids know that Disney is for adults? Faith just had to console herself with getting Jiminy's picture twice in one day.
After this, the group heads to the DAWA bar and I get the biggest scare of my trip. I almost died. Stay tuned to find out what happens to me.

Great update! I think it is fantastic that the adults are getting their pictures taken with the characters - even if they don't want to!
So, by my calculation there should be two more EE fast passes left - do you ride again??

:lmao: :lmao: I needed this update today!
i like the hanging of the jackets (on arms, with arms hidden.....yep, can't tell that you have them on at all). that being said, i was so excited about the cricket (cricut) shots, i didn't notice it tied around your waist, had to scroll back up.
These women are such total dorks, aren't they?
BTW, Faith has always said that when she retires, she wants to work for WDW as a character. After meeting Flick, she said it has to be that character. She's aspiring to have legs that skinny. She didn't say this but I'm going to -- the big head will fit her better.
Great update! I think it is fantastic that the adults are getting their pictures taken with the characters - even if they don't want to!
So, by my calculation there should be two more EE fast passes left - do you ride again??
I also like the jackets hanging down the arms!
I know, what's up with those jackets. Did they honestly think they were not going to show? And I'm sure those photographers loved waiting while they wiggled the jackets down their arms and positioned themselves.
And good catch on counting those fastpasses. No, they didn't ride it again. Vik and Faith are both scrapbookers and felt that it would be a much more worthy cause to keep them for themselves and use in their scrapbooks than to ride again or give them to some nice people.
This is probably why they didn't receive any Dreams. Too selfish.

Sharon, how does Faith feel about you spilling all these secrets? I just don't know if I could take a "flat" person with me, they seem to tell everything :scared1:.
I loved how Faith looked at the camera when everyone else was looking at Simba :rotfl:. I thought Mo's smile was good, Pocohontas looked a little odd to me though :confused3.
I can't wait to read more!!
Don't tell Faith, but she looks a little oblivious in the Simba photo. Vik's holding a lion, and she's staring at the camera? I wouldn't go on any trips on Safari with Faith if I were you, Sharon. ;)

You are so right Judi. He's got him a big ole smile on his face. He also made the comment "I'm going to take my picture with a pretty girl". I didn't tell Faith he'd said that because I was afraid she'd get a little irked. She was still too busy with the cricket and not paying attention to what Mo had to say.

Tracy, I think Pocohontas was fearing for her life. I'm sure she went home and told her husband about her scary encounter for the day.
And I promise if you take me on your next trip and let me hang out with Bill's Pal Mickey, I will only spill some of the beans. You write great trip reports on your own so you wouldn't need as much help from me as Faith does.

No kidding. You saw what happened to me over there in DinoLand. If they hadn't been taking that pic on that ride, I would have never come so close to being eaten by that creature. But Faith was very aware of that camera and had to make sure to have her "pose" perfected and I almost sacrificed my laminated life as a result of her self-obsession. I'm sure you've noticed that there haven't been very many pics from this trip that did not have her in it, front and center.

Sharon - I am glad to see that I am not the only adult that loves her picture taken with the characters. I do however not dance and sing with them. :lmao: I would if Vik was there with me though. I have never seen Flick or Jiminy (he's one of my favorites too). The baby Simba picture is cute too. I have never been on EE but look forward to it when we return next year. I can't believe you almost lost your life. I hope you are more careful for the rest of the trip. Oh and the comment about Disney being for adults. I totally understand. When I was in WDW with just DH (pre kids) I was 27, I followed around Eeyore because I wanted my picture with him and he ignored me. I boycotted the characters for the rest of the day. But Chip & Dale the next day made me forget how fresh Eeyore had been the day before. Can't wait for more.

WHAT???? First you tell me that she disses and IM's at work. Now are you telling me that Faith is going back to WDW this spring? She has not mentioned this here at work. Maybe the reason she hasn't said anything is that this is our busiest time of the year. In May and June, we all work 12 hour shifts, 6 days a week in the office. So she's planning to skip out and leave us hanging. Yeah, yeah, what a great boss she is.
Very nice Sharon. Be careful jumpping out.
Who knew when I set off on this adventure that I would have to face so many dangers? All I wanted to do was ride It's A Small World.

Monica, sorry you didn't get to meet Jiminy. I'm not sure he'll be out ever again. His experience with these two scarred him for life--he's a changed cricket now. I got lucky though and I'll get to meet him myself in the next installment. That's right. Even Flat People can do character meets.

When Vik started singing, Mike and Mo moved quickly towards the turnstiles as if they did not know her. I thought it was fun to see someone that age discover the Magic for the first time in their lives though. After she left Ballou, she immediately asked if anyone had gotten a picture of the two of them dancing.
Faith had a bad experience on a prior trip trying to meet Tigger. It must be something with those Pooh characters. This group didn't even see Pooh or the gang on this entire trip.

That dinosaur almost had a SharonSnack for lunch that day. That was scarier than sitting through one of Faith's staff meetings! And I hope for your sake that Jiminy comes out of hiding by April. Kathy, Faith has this rule about only meeting new characters, ones she has not met before. It gives her something to occupy her rather small mind, trying to find some new ones each trip. At least she stopped carrying the autograph book and the huge Mickey pen around.
I was very surprised on this trip to see how many adult only people do meet the characters. Although Mo is the only gray haired man I saw doing solo meets. He's "special".

Hi friends. Flat Sharon here. Back to start on Wednesday, Day 3. The Fantastic Four get ready to leave bright and early at 10:00am for Animal Kingdom. I'm pretty excited as it will be my very first Disney bus ride.
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/100_0124.jpg
I'm glad they let you sit in the seat. 3D Lynn made me stay in the backpack when I wasn't in pictures so I have no idea what a bus ride looks like.
If I had gone on the trip when my 3Ders took their neices /cousins I probably would have seen alot of this too. I'm sure it was the happiest they had ever been in their whole life and it made 3D lynn cry tears of happiness.
And then they do the Simba pic. Notice how everyone looks at Baby Simba except for Faith. Oh no, the universe revolves around Faith so she looks front and center.
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/image098.jpg
I noticed first the look on Mikes face rather than the fact that Pakey wasn't looking at Simba. It's like he's thinking how stupid it is to look at something not even there.:rotfl2:
Mike utters a bad word. It starts with an S. As the ride whips backwards, he says that word a lot.
3D Lynn said a work too...it was SHIRT without the R. Must be a 3d thing!:goodvibes
I'm glad you didn't get eaten! Sometimes it seems like they just use us for their twisted amusement and forget to take care of us!After taking the pic, she starts whining again because she realizes she had her jacket tied around her waist and it will not look good. People, she's over 50 and she is standing next to a fake cartoon cricket. Do you think anyone's going to notice the jacket? Does anyone even want to see a picture of Faith with the cricket? I don't know.
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/990103765_110.jpg
Of course she has to show off that smoking hot waist!
3D Lynn's man has his picture with Betty Boop at that other place in Orlando and his smile is very similar! I almost died. Stay tuned to find out what happens to me.I'm glad you made it home safe! I have a very wiggly neck now because of Splash Mountian and I am not even laminated!

Well before I can get to the embarrassing Epcot day, I have to finish the dull story of the Animal Kingdom day.
I left off in the last installment with the group heading over to the DAWA bar.
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/100_0193.jpg
I think DAWA stands for Does Anyone Want Another because those punch drinks were hot-diggity-dog good.
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/100_0189.jpg
Mike and Vik just want to sit down for awhile since their non-croc feet are killing them. Faith is excited because the parade is starting and this is one of her favorite parades. She has a front row spot as she stands with camera in one hand and punch in the other hand.
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/100_0182.jpg
I've got a great spot right there in the lanyard too:
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/100_0186.jpg
This parade got kind of crowded since this is an evening Extra Money Hour at this park. When the parade finishes, Faith rejoins her group at the Do You Want Another Drink table. They are enjoying good weather and good company.
Helloooo... . ... . ... While Faith is standing watching that parade with both hands occupied, I fall out of the lanyard. Land face down right by the parade ropes. Of course Faith is in her own little world and does not notice me. I'm being trampled by the Jun Horde (this is a reference to a very cheezy B movie called Beast Master) when the parade ends and she doesn't even notice. I'm sure I will not survive.
Lucky for me, Vik notices that Faith's lanyard is empty. Faith goes into a panic and makes all 4 crawl around trying to find the missing link (me). It's nice to know I'm more important than a glove. :lovestruc Anyway, after a bit of searching, I am rescued. I'm trampled and dirty but thank goodness I'm laminated and will survive.
After this little bru-ha-ha, the group decides that a nice relaxing Safari ride will be a perfect way to end this park day. The standby line is 20 minutes now, the worst of the trip. Mike really wants to do this safari so they decide that they'll wait. Faith and Mo are used to waiting in lines and think nothing of it but Vik and Mike do not like it, especially with people crowding. Welcome to Disneyworld first-timers.
We finally get to the front.
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/100_0175.jpg
I didn't get in any pics while on the ride though because we are too busy trying to find a little elephant. Wow that is exciting. Poor Little Red, kidnapped by poachers. I know exactly how that little fella felt. I had just went through my big scare too. Well, it's a happy ending for Little Red too.
After this ride, Mike says his feet can take no more. They wander back towards the exit and we wait for a bus to Animal Kingdom Lodge.
I don't trust Faith to get us on the right bus so I check out the schedule:
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/100_0196.jpg
Yes, we are at the right stop.
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/100_0200.jpg
I gotta say that even though I get to stand next to a kinda cute guy here, that bus line waiting is no fun. Seriously, I think you Disney freaks should start a petition for recliners to be installed while you wait. I'm not sure I could do this standing in line thing on every vacation.
We have a short bus ride this time and we get to the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Wow. Is this place pretty. Faith shows Vik and Mike where they saw Steven Tyler one night when their son Neil got his picture with him. Vik and Mike listen to country music so they have no idea who Faith is talking about. They are too tired to care so they just pretend they know so that Faith will stop talking and get them to the restaurant.
They are having dinner at BOMA. The sign says that it stands for Flavors of Africa or something like that but I'm here to tell you, that I know what BOMA stands for and I'll tell you in a minute.
We get herded to our table and drink orders are taken. It's early so the place isn't too busy yet. It's very pretty in there. Now I'm not sure but I think Faith is snorting and whinnying like a horse and her foot is pawing the ground under the table while those drink orders were being handled. As soon as the waiter moves 2 inches from that table, Faith shoots out of her chair like a rocket. She has a full plate, is also balancing a full bowl of soup and is heading back to the table before the other 3 have left that first meat station. So now I know that BOMA stands for Buffet OMG, Move Away. This woman practically straps on a feedbag. She claims to be a PEEP but that's not what I see.
Here is her first plate:
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/100_0203.jpg
The drinks arrive at about the time the rest of the group return to the table. Faith is a little calmer now as she's shoveled in a good portion of her first plate already. So she smiles for the birdie:
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/100_0208.jpg
But she is not interested in that drink because she's still got some cocunut chicken curry soup or something like that. So while's she's got her face down in her plate like Ralphie's brother Randy in A Christmas Story, I decide to wash that Animal Kingdom trampling dust off of me.
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/100_0205-1.jpg
After Faith finishes 2 plates plus that bowl of soup, she gets some dessert. She has slowed down a bit now so there was time for me to jump out and have me a little zebra dome.
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/100_0212.jpg
After dinner, they have to wait because the waiter has lost Mo's credit card. Bit of a scare here. He finally comes back with it and says he got lucky because he had dropped it on the floor in the restaurant and someone had picked it up and turned it in. As a customer service type of person, is this really something you should admit to your customers? Well, I don't know. Mo takes it in stride like he does everything else but Faith was a little put off by this.
We head off back to the bus stop. Wow is that a long walk. I think we cross 3 state lines just getting back to the bus stop. Faith tells everyone that she had made the ADR early so that they would have time to do some shopping at Downtown before going back to the condo but Mike and Vik say they are too tired. So at Downtown, they catch a bus back to the Beach Club and Faith and Mo decide to shop.
While Faith and Mo are looking around for things to buy for Grandson Clayton, I got to do my own character meets.
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/100_0223.jpg
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/100_0222.jpg
And I didn't have any lines either. Here it is, my first trip, and I get to meet Jiminy. Faith had to go many times to find him. She just doesn't know where to look.
After a few hours of looking at toys, they are pretty tired and head back to the Condo. Next up is Epcot. Will Vik and Mike like Soarin? And what are those girls up to?

Kimmy, I could send you Faith's feed-bag for BOMA. She obviously is one of the people who likes the food there. You could tell she'd been several times as she knew exactly where to run and screech-stop to add a scoop to her plate.

Well Faith has to buy 10 plane tickets to Orlando every other year to take the family so she charges everything on a miles card. If she could figure out how to make them all into flat versions, she could save a bundle that way. Of course, Faith, like everyone other disser in existence, pays those cards off every month.

Boma is a great place. Especially if you are a woman whose been on a diet for the last 3 years. Faith thinks that prime rib and the mustard sauce is some of the best food around. If that was the only dish they offered, she would still eat there every time.

Dawn, I hadn't noticed that woman in the picture there. She is probably thinking one or more of the following,
1. I wish I were as thin as Flat Sharon
2. Flat Sharon's Mickey balloon really should match her dress
3. If I could laminate my children, I would never have to scrub another bathtub ring
4. Does Flat Sharon count as a child or adult on the Dining Plan
5. Flat Sharon could stand to get some self tanning lotion

Do I really have to take him to skating lessons- then make dinner- then take my dd to piano and choir then put them to bed before I get back- agh- that will be hours- lol
See you soon- Jen;)

I've got a great spot right there in the lanyard too:
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/100_0186.jpg
I thought the same thing as punkin about the lady on the right :lmao:.
Helloooo... . ... .
I am so sorry Faith wasn't taking care of your safety, shame on you Faith!! Thank goodness for Vic. I am so glad you are ok .
The drinks arrive at about the time the rest of the group return to the table. Faith is a little calmer now as she's shoveled in a good portion of her first plate already. So she smiles for the birdie:
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/100_0208.jpg
Great picture of Faith, I would have been smiling too with that drink in my hand :thumbsup2.
Sharon, please tell me Faith let you have that drink all to yourself after you went swimming in it go get the AK dust off of you!!
I agree with Faith, I would be put off by him losing the card in the first place :scared:.

Well fans, sorry that it has been so long. Faith has been weirding out at work lately so there hasn't been any chance for me to goof off and do the important stuff like dissing. On top of that, when Faith uploaded her pics into photobucket, she didn't do them in any kind of order so it's a mess going through and picking pictures to add here. She really needs to take some classes on using some of this stuff. But with the mood she's been in lately, I'm not saying a word.
On top of that, I can't get the photobucket pictures to shrink.
So I'll try to add a little here until I get caught then I'll have to stop.
The group actually gets up at a decent time to start their Epcot day. It's warm outside so Faith decides to wear capris. Two problems here. One, she's lost a bit of weight and her capris are too big. But she's going to wear them anyway. So already, she's looking like one of those gangsta punk who wear their pants down below their cheeks, if you know what I mean. Problem two: those crocs. She came out of the bedroom and all 3 of her group said "uh-uh, ain't gonna happen." She begs but they are unswerving. So she goes back and puts on her beat up exercise tennis shoes.
They head over to the World Showcase and enter through that gate. Faith is having to pull her pants up about every 10 steps but she doesn't start complaining about how annoying it is to do it until after lunch. She at least gave us a break this morning. It's not open yet so Faith grabs a pic of an empty England. Not that the parks have been full anyway, but this pic has zero people in it.
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/100_0230.jpg
Faith then makes Vik get into a phone booth. She says it's tradition that someone in their group always gets a pic in the phone booth. Vik, who I have discovered loves to have her picture taken, jumps right in.
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/100_0231.jpg
They head over to Future World and the first thing that has to be done is take another dang picture with the Big Ball in the background. They did this the other day on the front side and now they are doing it on the backside. Hey people, it's a ball, it looks the same from every side.
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/image061.jpg
Now Faith and Mo love the World Showcase but are not fans of Future World. Their idea of touring Future World is going shopping at Mouse Gear and then heading to World Showcase. Faith tells Vik and Mike that it's up to them to choose what they want to do. First thing up is Soarin. Faith groans. And then sighs. And then drags her feet as they walk over there. She's so subtle. Obviously, she's not one of the Legion of Fans of this attraction. So they stand in line, it's not very long. They ride and then Vik and Mike say "what's up with this ride, what's the big deal?" Now Faith is happy. So they discuss how it's pretty dumb. That is must be a California thing because they are the only 4 people on the planet who think this is a dumb ride. Personally, being a FlatPerson and all, I thought it was pretty amazing. But this is my first vacation, what do I know?
After that Mike picks Test Track. Faith does another groan, sigh, foot shuffle. Mike loves this ride. He's really into restoring old cars and stuff so this is right up his alley. And Faith survives it.
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/image066.jpg
Then they are walking around and Faith spots:
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/100_0323-1.jpg
I'm very excited to go in and get some Coke. Faith doesn't drink soda and I've been dying to get some ever since we got here. Faith goes in and then stands in silence in front of:
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/100_0316.jpg
She is just standing there staring at it. I thought maybe she didn't know what it was since she doesn't drink soda (and she's not always the brightest bulb in the closet). Mo asks what's wrong and she says "This is the exact place where UtahMama took her pic for her signature". Again, it's that UtahMama person. And what is a signature? Faith almost whispers the name and you can hear the awe in her voice.
Then she snaps back into reality, grabs a cup, pushes a button and hands it to Mo. She says it's from Italy, taste it. Mo and Faith were in Italy last year and she knows that Italians do not drink soda but she's counting on Mo not to catch on. So he tries it:
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/100_0314-1.jpg
Hey guinea pig, like how nice your wife is to you?
Based on Mo's expression, I decide I'll just wait until I return home to have some soda.
After a fun pit stop there, it's on to more serious things. How about a hat show? Vik insists that everyone put on a hat for a photo.
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/100_0238-1.jpg
Mike, the Mayor of Toontown. He looks very official, doesn't he?
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/100_0240.jpg
Mo, it's not your birthday. And no wearing that hat will not make Faith remember your birthday. Just give up. She's never going to buy you a present.
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/100_0241.jpg
There are no words for this tragedy. I'm a speechless Flat Person.
Well guys, it's time for me to stop again. Next up will be Mo making a fool of himself and Faith finding tragedy at Coral Reef. Then after that, you'll be seeing those embarrassing pics I've told you about. I sure hope I can get them smaller because Faith's gonna be really mad if I post them in their full-sized glory.

Kari, why aren't you getting a good night's rest?????
Well, Faith had never been into Club Cool. Seriously, her idea of Future World is Spaceship Earth and Mouse Gear. But she'd heard about that Beverly here on the disboards and thought it would be fun to do that to Mo. That was her only reason to go in there.
So her payback is coming when I post the more embarrassing pictures. After that, she may have to become the Unknown Accountant and wear a paper bag over her head so no one recognizes her. Except those hideous red mickey crocs might still give her away.

Hi Laura. I'm whispering so Faith can't hear us talk about this. I think you're right, I should put up a poster size figment picture of the high and mighty. She struts around the office in her fancy dancy clothes and none of the people around here have a clue that there is this Disney side to her. I think I'll wait until the end of this report though and I'll let all of you decide which picture should go in the conference room. There are going to be a few more that definitely should be considered.
And I'm sorry that you haven't been to the World in awhile now. After my first trip, I can certainly understand how addictive that place can be. I keep imagining how much fun it would be if I wasn't stuck tagging along with these old people. I went all the way to Florida and didn't get to ride the teacups. And I didn't get a turkey leg either.

Kimmy, I feel so bad for you having to pal around with Missa in that hat. I was embarrassed just being there when the pics were taken. Of course, Missa is at least 3 centuries younger than Faith so it's a little more acceptable. Faith is way too old to be acting like that.

Kathy, I'm not sure those men had a very good time on this trip. Trust me, I was there. This trip was all about Faith and Vik. At no time is it more obvious than the afternoon that they spend in Epcot (upcoming installment). The guys will get their fun time before the trip is over but they had to wait patiently for it.
I think I forgot to mention that Vik bought crocs there. After 3 days of hurting feet, she broke down and got some black ones. That was the end of her foot complaints (and the end of her comments about how ugly those crocs are). It has also been noticed that for every lunch that Vik and Faith have had since their return to the real world, Vik has been wearing those crocs. I think Faith has enjoyed Vik being brought so low after the numerous comments she made about Faith's crocs.

Amy thanks for joining the Flat Sharon Fan Club. It's been pretty slow around here lately because Faith has all Flat People working their flat behinds off at the office. But tomorrow is Sunday and my day off because Faith is too busy watching the South rise again via Nascar so I should be able to sneak a post in. Monica, welcome back to the land of the living. Don't you think Figment looks like he's going to the bathroom on Faith's head? That's what I'd do if I had to sit up there on that Don King hair of hers. And she hasn't had that drink yet but her favorite drink in all of WDW is at Coral Reef. So does she get it when she arrives for lunch in the next installment? Before she left home, she told everyone that the drink at the Coral Reef was going to be the one and only drink she would have for the entire trip. And we all know that plan hasn't worked too well for her. And believe it or not, Mike is definitely the funniest one in this group but he doesn't want his braces to show and it's almost impossible to get him to smile for a photo. Unless he sees a churro stand.
So fans, I'll be flat-broadcasting live here tomorrow.

Well hello there again. I sure hope some of you are still tuned in for my little fairy tale story here. I think I'm dropping fans the way Faith drops hairstylists. I'm trying to be as entertaining as I can but I'm a laminated accountant so you have to know I don't have much to work with here.
I know I left all of you with Figment trying to hatch an egg on top of Faith's head but up next, it's Mo who decides he's still a child at heart. The group heads over to Innoventions. First they ride the Figment ride. This is my first trip to WDW but can anyone tell me why that ride still exists? Disney obviously has way too much money because they are wasting it keeping that attraction open. Mike does his first open complaining by stating that it's the worst ride he's ever been on. Faith keeps quiet because she actually thought it was kind of cute. But then she also likes that Stitch attraction so we all know she has no taste.
After the Figment ride, the group hangs around in Innoventions. In all of their trips to WDW, Faith and Mo have never been in there before. And I'm guessing, they won't be going back anytime soon. Mo seems to have a good time though:
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/100_0300-1.jpg
The picture is not moving but I think you can all see that this man has no rhythm. Mike moves on, pretending not to know Mo, but Faith snapped this picture and another:
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/100_0303.jpg
Notice the age of the rest of the dancers? Do you think any of those childrens' parents were just a wee bit concerned about what Captain Grey Hair was doing out there playing with them?
After spending at least an hour in this building (I was sooooo bored), the group has to leave for lunch. No matter how much fun they might be having, this group isn't about to let anything interfere with the meals.
Faith has scheduled lunch at a place called Coral Reef. While walking over there, Faith keeps talking about the drink she is going to have. A key lime martini with a graham cracker rimmed glass. She says it's the best drink and from the number of beverages I have seen her consume so far on this trip, I'm placing her at the expert level. She's really raving about this drink so I'm actually a bit excited too.
We get over to the Coral Reef and dang, there's another one of those photographers. Faith must have these locations memorized.
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/image115.jpg
Notice how Nemo is looking at Faith's hair? He looks a little scared doesn't he? And Dory is checking it out too. She's trying to remember where she has seen it before. Let's all help Dory out here. Hey Dory, It's D-O-N K-I-N-G.
While these 4 are sitting there thinking "Oh look how cute we are", I'm over by the restaurant starving.
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/100_0268.jpg
Cmon people, let's get moving here. I'm wanting some food. And I'm getting cranky because this is the 4th day in a row wearing this same dress and this very tired mouse ears.
Finally, they stroll over and everyone goes inside. They get seated next to the tank:
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/100_0280.jpg
Mo and Mike immediately start studying the fish guide as if there is going to be a test. They only one they recognize is the big turtle so they've got some work to do. I think they are just trying to ignore Faith who is still going on about that drink.
The waitress comes over and Faith asks for one of those drinks. Warning, big drama ahead here. The waitress tells Faith that they no longer have that drink. Faith's response was "are you sure?". No dummy, the waitress knew this would bother you so she's just making it up. So after Faith's lip stopped quivering, she ordered a pina colada.
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/100_0282.jpg
I should have known not to jump over there with as stressed as she was but I was totally unprepared for how fast she sucked that drink down and I got trapped:
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/100_0290.jpg
I know, it appears that I'm smiling but that's just because I'm laminated. Trust me, I was afraid. Thank goodness that cherry stem was there for me. I used it as a rope and pulled myself out of the abyss there in time to check out the lunch items. I was careful not to get any of that cherry gook on me. I too work at the "cherry place" and I know all about them too.
Faith knew when she booked this place that Mike hates any kind of fish or seafood. That doesn't leave him much for choices but he picks a Ceasar's salad:
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/100_0288.jpg
He says it's excellent. Mo has tilapia:
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/100_0286.jpg
He also says his is excellent. Faith and Vik each get the catfish and grits:
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/100_0289.jpg
Vik just loves it but Faith isn't sure. Once she scrapes that tomato salsa off the top, she also agrees that it's very good.
So many choices, what's a Flat Person to do? Well, I just run around and take little snippets (oooohhhh, that's a good word and I didn't even have to steal it from Molly) from every plate. I had to run anyway because I had stepped in the salsa and my toes were tingling.
After this lunch, everyone is full and ready to head to over to that park with the countries around the lake again. Faith says that EPCOT stands for Every Person Can Overdrink There. Vik asks what is there to do if you aren't going to eat and drink or shop? Faith says she has an idea.
OK guys, I'm at the end of the last installment before the pictures. Faith's world showcase idea sounded better in theory than it will in practice. And will the guys have any more fun as they girls make complete idiots of themselves?

Love the update flatSharon!
I think it is great that Mo was directing the symphony and jumping on the sound squares! I guess he really did enjoy himself.
:rotfl2: Nemo looking at Faith's hair! So funny! (not her hair - just the fact that he appears to be looking right at it!)
I was all excited about Faith's drink - sounded like a good one. How disappointing that they no longer serve it.
I've always heard Epcot stands for Every Person Comes Out Tired! :)

Well Mo might have embarrassed the group a bit with his Village People dance moves there but the girls are going to get him back over at the World Showcase.
And Michelle, you don't come out tired if you wear your crocs. :flower3:

I think it would have to be something like Every Paycheck Doesn't Come Soon Enough When You Vacation At Disney. What does that make it--EPDCSEWYVAD. Maybe I'll have to send a letter with that suggestion.....

Hi Laura. Glad you found your way over here. And it's okay to think Faith is crazy; she's letting a FlatPerson tell stories on her so she probably deserves it. And after you see pics from the next installment, you will know she's not all there.

Laura, as a mother to small children, picture yourself in this situation. And his dancing is so bad that you want to think that there must be some bad chemicals involved in order to make a human being move that herky-jerky. Mo is usually pretty quiet and laid back but that Figment fellow sure brought the spirit out of him. Too bad Figment couldn't teach him how to hip-hop.

Hi Monica. Glad you could stop by in the 5 minutes a week you have computer availability. Now that you mention it, this group did spend a lot of time in Figment's building didn't they? They did the build a spaceship, watched Segways, etc. I think they spent more time here than just about everywhere. Good thing they didn't like it or I might never have gotten out. And hopefully you'll get to meet the hair in December. I believe it might be the 8th wonder of the world.

Well fans, the time has come for the much promised pictures.
First of all, I want to say that my 3-d people are stupid but they aren't mean. In no way were any of these pictures meant as a "slight" to any people.
And Lynn, please get out your cooty spray because these pics are going to give you the heebie-jeebies.
The group leaves Future World behind, without even a visit to Mouse Gear. I don't know how they managed to escape from the clutches of Disney's version of the Bermuda Triangle, especially since Faith loves that store and Faith usually gets her way. I guess they were still reeling from the shock of Mo's hip hop routine in Innoventions. They figured they just needed to leave the area as quietly as possible.
So off they skip on their merry way to the World Showcase. It starts to sprinkle lightly and Faith whips that lime green backback off her shoulders and pulls out her Mickey rain poncho and a baseball hat. Oh yeah Faith, protect that hair at all costs. Three drops fall from the sky and she moves faster than speed to put on that poncho. She has 3 more ponchos in the backpack for the others but nobody is interested. Now I can't see a thing through that plastic. So I'm just listening. Mike and Mo have kind of walked away from the girls and are having their own manly conversation so Faith fills Vik in on what they are going to do in the World Showcase. She must stay up late at night dreaming this stuff up.
OK, so here's the plan. First let me say (if I haven't already) that Faith scrapbooks. And she's recently got Vik into it to. Faith tells Vik (as I listen with baited breath) that they will take pictures of one another in each country on their own cameras and won't show them to the other until after they get home. This way they'll have some great pics for their scrapbooks.
They head to Mexico first. Faith figures she needs to stay away from France or she'll get a slushy or two and then she'll not be up for the scrapbooking task. Oh, if only that had happened. I think a drunk accountant would have been a better choice.
They enter Mexico. Mike immediately notices CHURROS and he and Mo go over to the counter place so that Mike can get his 17th churro in 4 days. Faith and Vik go into the store area and are looking around trying to figure out what they are going to pose with. This is where Faith comes up with the plan that they will wear a hat in each country and try to make it look authentic. Also, they are to pick different hats when at all possible and they would rotate who gets to pick first. Only Faith would take something spontaneous and throw 2000 rules into the mix.
Now I'm warning you again. This is a stupid plan. It gets worse as they go. Here are the first shots:
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/100_0325.jpg
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/990201571_126.jpg
I think Vik thinks she is Heide Klum or something. And Faith, well there is no hope for this poor girl. The Mickey Poncho just adds that extra little touch don't you think?
They come bursting out laughing to find the guys sitting enjoying a moment of downtime. It's stopped sprinkling so Faith thankfully removes that poncho. They run into a friend and have to stop for a pic:
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/image121.jpg
Faith wants to tell Donald that she looks better in a sombrero but she knows he's got a temper and she has no time for a duckfight. She's got bigger plans.
Then they're off to Norway. Mike had finished that churro so he steps in to the bakery and gets some sort of pastry. Mo just finds a bench. He's not ready for that first alcoholic drink yet but it won't be long now. Mike and Mo have no idea what Vik and Faith are doing as they are not interested in shopping.
So here's the girls in Norway:
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/100_0337.jpg
Do you like how Vik just leaves her visor on for this shot. She's not sure yet that this is a good idea so she doesn't want that helmet/hat on her head any longer than necessary.
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/990201571_111.jpg
Remember, Faith and Vik are not showing each other's pictures. Vik does tell Faith that she doesn't look very good in hats.
Now it's onto China and this is where things go rapidly downhill. Remember that the rule is to try to look authentic. I can't believe I'm going to post these. And this is the first country that only had one hat for a choice so they are both taking pics in the same hat. Not that it would make any difference.......
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/990201571_107.jpg
http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee137/pakeyB/100_0344.jpg
OK, I can't go any further in this installment. A FlatPerson can only take so much humiliation at one time. This is the point where Vik and Faith realize there is no turning back and they are fully committed (or should be committed) to finishing this task.
In the next update, you'll find out which countries were so awful that emergency bathroom breaks had to be taken. And after snacking around the World, will Mike have room for his Le Cellier dinner? And what is Faith's next surprise for Vik? That should all be in the next installment, if I can get through these hat pictures. If you would rather I skip them, just let me know.
And for those of you thinking of including Faith in any future dismeets, just remember these pictures. Combine them with her raw eel diet, maybe she's not the best person to invite to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.

Absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE them!!
Tina, they get worse. I hope you know what you are asking for. And remember that I've always known Faith to be one of those people who hates to stand out or be noticed at all. Quite a shocker to see her like this.
Great pics. Faith and Vik look as if they are having a blast!!
Hi Tina. I do believe they were having quite a bit of fun. It's one of those once in a lifetime type of things, and for that we are all grateful.
OMG! This is just what I needed tonight - you brought a large smile to my face! :) :goodvibes :)
You guys look like you are having the best time - very funny! Bring on the rest of the hat pictures! :yay:
Hi Michelle. Just don't ask Faith to do hat pictures in December. I'm already imaging an elf hat and it's not pretty.
