SIOH Baby Book Photos Post #339

PN96 and I are hostessing the Baby Book for StitchIsOurHero. The idea is to create a two-page layout for your subject. You may chose as many subjects as you would like. If you think of more ideas, post them..and I will add them to the list.. there can be numerous general pages so sign up for whatever you would like. We will be making a 2- page layout for an 8X8album.

Note: The main theme is Disney. Your pages should reflect your subject in a Disney theme. SIOH likes Pooh, Stitch, and Villians [not sure about Villians in a baby book. :rotfl: But hey, it's all Disney]. We don't know the baby's gender, so no pink princess or blue prince pages, yet. But the Fab Five, Pixar, and other movie characters are good choices.

Everyone will send their creations to one me and I will put all the pages into an album and send them on to SIOH.

DUE DATE FOR THE LAYOUTS TO BE RECEIVED IS JUNE 1st. This will give us time to get them into the album and to SIOH before the big day!!

We normally make a 2x3 tag with your DISname, real name, pages you made & a little bit of advice. I'd like you to make your tags lime green or use the HL paint chips. If you would also please sign your DISname initials on the bottom corner of second page, it'll be easier for SIOH to know who made the layouts.

Please post here on your status and when you mail.. Buffy and I will be monitoring this routinely in case there are issues or problems.

The day you were born: This to include spaces to journal about the prices and whats going on in the world the day the baby is born. I have a newspaper for each of my kids that I got the day they were born.

hey Susie!!! I was just thinking of you today. I think we keep missing each other. I wanted to know how you've been.

Not trying to hijack the thread but things have been awesomely crazy......school is finally listening to 504 issues - guess it has something to do with Office of Civil Rights investigation into the complaint I filed, oh well, thanks to SIOH - SSR can now say Welcome Home.......Stone's new meds are working wonders, the DIS girls still continue to remember us and it is wonderful. I am trying to get the PO to find my package with DC that has been missing for 18 days now.......took advantage of Lisa's help with CM today....I was Queen of Hearts of Pirate and Princess party and we had pic made with Jack Sparrow (45 minute wait). Disney was coooold when we got there. Found out that no one has gotten a marker for Virg's grave and I can not let DS's dad be there without one so I am going to take care of that.....tomorrow is HSM - stage edition in Raleigh and then Sunday is Hannah Montana movie....Whew....I need another vacation.

As for special traditions. . .sort of. The two big foods in my family that are traditional (although one takes a while to get to) are chocolate cake and popcorn. When I was little, I LOVED popcorn. They have pictures of the first time they gave me popcorn because I liked it so much I had both hands stuck into the bowl, shoveling it into my mouth!! :)

it is a kit. i had the 8x8 album, paper, stickers, diecut frames. it says it's made by stepping stones. so not really sure a brand. it's yellow and has pooh, piglet and tigger on the front and says memories.

I like the memories one. My only concern would be finding refill pages. I've not bought them for anything other then my CJs and that brand had it's own refill pages. Can you mix and make brands? See how scrapping new I am. It's swap making I can do.

Who are you calling not normal? I think people who only put 20 pages in a book are insane... It means they have not taken enough pictures. They do not understand the need to spend large amounts of time, money and energy to perserve their memories for future generations. I think all of those things are perfectly normal.... :lmao:

Yep, I so am!! We have pics of so much for the pregnancy already, and I know we'll have TONS of baby pics. My poor child will probably think Mommy actually has a camera instead of a face!

Can I just mention how excited I am about this book and the pregnancy book? Thank you all again SO much!! DH said today, "You know, you've been telling me about the book, and it's made me even more excited!" :)

And before anyone asks I have NO IDEA what to do for these pages, I just thought of the idea and wished I'd thought of it before I did the baby books for my boys.

Can I just check if there's a colour scheme running through this album? I know there's no "gender specific" colours but was there something I was meant to be doing?

No, no color theme. Since we don't know if it is a Princess or a Pirate yet.

For the sitting up, just go with whatever character you like. There are some EK Success stickers of the 101 Dalmations or Aristocats that have them just sitting there. I'm sure there are others, I just happend to see those examples yesterday.

But if you hadn't, I don't know what would have happened. I need to go remind them "DO NOT BEND" means don't force it my box. I am more than happy to come and pick it up the next day. I found it with a google search. Since I don't have a "mom" persay anymore (she died of breast cancer when I was 10 years old, she was only 32) I always like to find something that touches my heart as a mom myself for her on mothers day. It's hard when you don't have the memories like so many other people do, that she was this way with me while she was alive. I like to believe even though she isn't with me anymore she is still watching me:cloud9: . I know a long explanation, sorry.

No bending. Small tear in the envelope, but the sleeve you put them in protected them from what ever caused that.

i promise to do mine over the weekend. i have changed my mind 100 times. i'm having trouble incorporating pooh into my pages. i wanted something baby pooh but can't find anything. i cant find the right shade of blue for my pages. i did manage to get some at michaels yesterday so one way or another i'm doing them this weekend.
my other issue is i can't for the life of me find my cuttlebug plates! really! no foolin'! where in the world are they? i'm in the middle of moving all my scrap stuff so i'm sure i've put them in a safe place!:rotfl:
