A clean, close, inexpensive place near Embassy Suites

My son will be playing in a Baseball Tourney the 3rd week of July at the wide world of sports this year.

His entire team is staying at the Embassy Suites off property. This hotel is nice but a little more then what I want to spend.

I have not been to Disney since Thanksgiving '03, and I did not stay off property. Does anyone have a suggestion for me ?

I would like to be as close to their hotel as possible, in a clean place, and not spend more then 80-90 per night.

Which Embassy Suites are they staying at, there are several....that would help ??

I was told it is the one on Lake St. about a mile from the WWOS complex.

Radisson Resort Celebration is pretty close to the WWOS, we stayed there last year and it was very nice, tho i've seen mixed reviews

the extended stay deluxe - seems close - but I have never heard of this place.

oh if you can change your title.

you don't want something close to WWoS - but something close to your son's hotel - Embassy.

despite what you have been told - they are pretty far apart.

there are much cheaper hotels closer to WWoS - there is rodeway inn - that I almost stayed in.

I was told the Hotel was close to WWOS.

I guess everyone's idea of close is different.


OK then, new question, a cheaper close hotel to The Embassy Suites in Lake Buena Vista on Lake St.

That would be the closest Embassy to WWOS and not far by many folks, but it is far when there are so many hotels that are closer :) It is about 8 miles. You could pick something just outside of Downtown Disney which puts you close to his hotel.

I believe the Comfort Inn Lake Buena Vista will be in your range, but I have never stayed there. Maybe look on the review page.

I was going to suggest the Comfort Inn LBV, too. You will be VERY close to Embassy--we have stayed at both places and were surprised at how close they are. There are literally over a dozen hotels within a block of this area, but Comfort Inn is probably the cheapest b/c it's not a suite. We got a deal through travelzoo.com for $39 for the one night we were there; right now I think it's going for $49 through sometime in May. Comfort Inn was clean, updated enough and the pool area was very nice.
