ours went out twice last night!! 1st time came back on at 3:05 scared the bejebus out of me sound asleep and the answering machine and fish tank pumps start along with the furnace. 2nd time I must have really been out cold cause I heard nothing till the magic phone call from school saying there was a 2 hour delay, by that point (5:50 am I was wide awake). Winds are gusting to abt 20 here I'm not looking forward to the drive home, took me 35 minutes to go 6 miles this am with all the ice. DH said it was bad when he got in from sanding so I waited another 45 mins and if was still horrific. 5 miles an hour or less with 2 tires in the snow bank for traction with studded tires and 4 wheel drive !!!!!! I should have called in :sick: !!

Leaving work in a 20 mins. then on to the rat race of supper chores and bed for the monkeys. My youngest was just headed out to play (:eek: )for a few mins I told him he'd be and Ericsicle when I got home and he says no mommy I'll just be Eric. Guess I need to add a warm tub to the list to thaw him out!:confused3 this one would be out in his tee shirt all winter he hates the heat of summer.

2.5 hours later and we are back on.. the house is chilly.. DD has to leave for practice in 15 minutes... than I have to get DS11 to practice and pick DD up from practice @ 6:45pm.... This is just nuts!

Funny thing is AWM, there was no wind.. nothing... just blue skies and sunshine...even though it's cold as heck!

Glad you weren't out too long. Although in this cold out at all is too long in my book, probably why we have wood heat I HATE being cold in the house.
Roads were still nasty going home and comin in but in stead of the normal 10 it took just under 20 still way better then yesterday. thank god the morning bus driver is the most careful of all 3 they have.
Now they are talkin about the white stuff for tonight and tomorrow and while I love it because of skiing and s***mobiling can't it fall just on weekends and days off?

I hate to tell you but there is a Winter Storm warning here for heavy snow starting tonight and I'm west (northwest) of all of you, so there's another on it's way.....Supposed to snow all night and tomorrow morning.

We had the blizzard winds, etc on Tuesday night, too. Electricity is cabled underground here so we're usually OK here unless something big above ground goes at one of the main stations, which does happen.

So far, no panic driven people at the grocery stores. I had to pick up milk, my boys breathe that stuff in, and it was deserted.

Also stopped by the BIG Lots on the way home. Only picked up the packages of $2.00 card stock (4) for me. The rest of the stuff was kiddo items. I'm out of blue & brown and almost out of grey, I got those and a yellow to go with my Woody tags.

Yep, we have been under it for a while now.. nothing going on...but KK will check in I hope usually she gets it..than me...but we shall see if that happens... AWM, your direction was supppse to get ice (that is the southeastern IN side of it...they really didn't say much about the OH area except you were included in the warning.. YUCKO!

I'm wondering if all the construction in town lately is because we are going underground w/ wiring..but I don't know.. I sure wish we would because yesterday was crazy.. 2.5 hours and my house just now feels warm to me...but than again my DH tells me I'd freeze at 90 degrees in the house if there were a breeze!

Oh, it's snowing really hard here! The flakes are so big tonight, I almost got knocked out when they hit me in the head while letting the dogs out in the back yard. Actually, it's been snowing here all day and it wasn't easy driving in the Chicago area earlier either.

WE got NADA! Nothing... they had a 2 hour delay for safety because of a dusting..that any other given day we went to school on time.... but the kids did sleep in and were excited to find out they weren't late!:banana:

It did sn** for about 20 minutes today..just add a fresh dusting to the ground and nothing more... :(
