Thank you Tracy! :worship: Are you a mind reader? I had a note to myself to pop you an email to request a cabin in this location. I was in this same spot on the Magic and liked the location and access.

I think if we do fish extenders, we'll need a special pattern. I don't think most ordinary fish extenders will fit a bottle of rum. Well, they might fit those little mini bar size bottles, but something tells me those just won't do.

Another deck 7 here! We are deck 7 forward. The asterisk question made me look! Here's what I found:
Note: Staterooms 7130, 7132, 7134, 7630, 7632, 7634, 6144, 6146, 6148, 6150, 6152, 6644, 6646, 6648, 6650, & 6652 have solid-wall verandahs that partially obstruct sea views while seated within the stateroom or verandah. Staterooms 7136, 7138, 6154 & 6654 have the solid-walls, too, but their verandahs are especially spacious.

There is a fish by the doors for DCL to put notes and stuff. These crafty little things people are making to hold goodies extend from the fish, thus called fish extenders. It's actually rather interseting. From what I can tell they originated with the DIS. Just amazes me sometimes what these boards are responsible for.

How many people will be flying into Orlando the day before the cruise? We will get in late in the afternoon, so we'll probably just stay at an airport hotel and leave from there in the morning. Might be interested in sharing a limo to the port with other cruisers...so please keep us in mind if anyone has similar plans.

Actually, the port probably would be a better option. Do most of the hotels close-by have a shuttle to the ship? Maybe we can just "limopool" in style from the airport to Canaveral instead. At least we've got plenty of time to get all the details worked out! :goodvibes

As we get closer, we'll know better, I'm sure. Who knows? Maybe we'll be getting some offers on a Swan/Dolphin stay pre-cruise, or something. In any case, I plan on trying to get there the day before just so we don't stress about airline mishaps. And I'm definitely up for sharing a ride!

Howdy neighbor! I would seriously consider arriving the day before. I know we shouldn't have any weather related issues by going in May, but you never know when something weird is going to happen with the airplane like mechanical problems, crew changes, etc. It would stink if you were sitting on the tarmac somewhere while all your new best friends are having a sail-away party. :(
At least you don't have as far to travel coming from VA...we fly out of Portland, OR and there's only a few flights that even leave early enough for us to get in before the ship leaves port.

Welcome to the neighbourhood...I will be researching as well. We are thinking of looking for some beach time before the cruise. DD actually chose that over WDW...even with me just coming back from a trip to WDW without her! :confused3
Now I am wondering about all that space too...the smaller spaces could be for the mint & simple syrup...or secret passages to send to mo-gee-toes to other decks...

Wow, that sounds really unusual...and good. :goodvibes I'll have to see what I can bring from WA state (besides apples!).
Bring those great Washington State Cherries- we ate pounds of them last year when we visited our son in Seattle.
And we are on deck 6 also.

Can't wait for the story! And I love cherries!!!! Actually - I wasn't sure if WA was Washington State or not - I know most of those shortforms...
I was just looking at ordering some more maple butter - and noticed they have small jars, and maple sugar leaves too...hmmm

How are we going to handle waiting until next May??? We're already talking when we're going to arrive.
My DH keeps repeating, do they realize it's 15 MONTHS AWAY?????? Of course "they" includes me - I mean, ya gotta make plans!!!
We'll probably be in on any pre/post night stays somewhere. I was thinking of doing the Hyatt for the night the cruise ends (I guess that would be the 14th), just to relax before catching the flight to NJ and reality.

:rotfl2: I promise to ignore everything! I have no problem with giving out my room # - I intend to decorate my door anyway so everyone would know me anyway. I would've posted it sooner except for I usually post from work (shhh - don't tell!) and I didn't have my login to my dreams account there. We are in stateroom 7059. we'll prolly stay at the port, because of the hotel where you can leave your vehicle, and not have to pay the $15 a night parking... i hate paying parking!!
Actually, the port probably would be a better option. Do most of the hotels close-by have a shuttle to the ship? Maybe we can just "limopool" in style from the airport to Canaveral instead. At least we've got plenty of time to get all the details worked out! :goodvibes

Walt and Roy are big places, don't get me wrong, but I highly doubt they would be trying to cram all of us in there! We are 15 months out and without looking, I think the last count was 26 rooms??? That's a whole lot 'o people to cram into a stateroom even if it is the largest staterooms onboard!!! I know Pete loves us and all, but I don't think he loves us THAT much! :rotfl2:
