Still BCV Rooms available

I just called MS and on the first try the line was busy. Then I remembered today was the big day for BCV. I thought about trying to call another day but I figured I would try one more time first. I got through and a recording told me the wait would be 8 mins but it was only about 2 (if that). I made my reservation for VWL and asked about the BCV requests the CM said most of the calls coming in today were for BCV but that there were still plenty of rooms available. Sounds like it's not too bad.......anyone get turned away yet?

I got wait listed for August 18-24 for a 2 bedroom...they said they had 2 bedrooms for the week before and the week after...figures!!!

That must be a popular week for some reason. It wasn't available for a 1 bedroom at the BWV when I called to book it earlier this year. Maybe it is because the points are lower the last half of the month? Anyway, I ended up with the week before. It's for my daughter and she is flexible (college student). :D

I called a few minutes before 9 and MS was closed, then tried again a couple of minutes later and got right through - not even on hold at all!
The CM told me that her phone didn't even ring for the first minute they were open!
I am psyched! I got a 2 bedroom at BCV for the August 18th until the 23rd!!!!!!!

I called right at 9AM and got right thru as well. Booked a studio for BCV 12/8-12/11 and dropped the three nights at BWV. It will be nice to stay on the other side of the lake! LOL I plan to swap the points for BWV points in May at the 7 months window and then bank all the BCV forward so I will have enough to have a week there the next year and not have to move.

Just got off the phone with members Services. The reason all the resorts are booking for the week of Aug. 18th is that the Disneyana convention is schedule for Aug. 19th this year (usually held the 1st week of Sept.)

I got waitlisted for a studio August 11-16th, she said all the other weeks around then had avaliblility, just not that week.

I believe this will only work if there are BCV rooms available for your dates when you call in May. They will not let you swap BWV points otherwise since they did not have the 11 month window at BCV when you made the reservation. In effect, you would have to cancel the reservation with BCV points and redo it with BWV points. If there are no rooms available and people on the waitlist, I don't think you can do it.
