I Also, I will be able to put all of our Photo Pass pictures taken at the parks on this CD right?
What they did with me is move my photo session photos to the number on the card I had been using as my park photopass. Also, they gave me a new photopass card with just the session pictures--so I ended up with redundant pics. I'd rather be safe than sorry, ya know?

I have some questions for those of you have recently called to book your appnt and I have some question for those of you who have rently had your pictures taken.
Recently Called Questions
What are the hours they take the pictures?
Do they book up pretty fast?
Can you request a male or female photog?
Recently Had Pictures Taken
What do you think is the best time to have your picture taken?
Some of you have had great pictures, do you know if you can request a photographer by name?
Do you see your pictures right after the photo session?
Thanks.

That totally stinks that the photographer didn't have enough brains to move you guys into some shade and explain why he or she was doing so. This is what really angers me sometimes about WDW photographer. They are always doing stuff like that. I guess working in a photography studio for 7 yrs has made me really picky.
I can just say I am going to feel real sorry for the photographer who gets my family. LOL I will probably ask for a female photographer right off the bat and someone who has alot of creativity!!
I don't know the best time, but we were squinting through many of ours and they didn't turn out so good. Ours was at 9:30. Evening might be better?

desiab - Your photos are beautiful! I love the clothes you all wore. The sundresses and light, airy shirts are so attractive.
What wonderful photos to cherish!
Thanks for the compliments. My Sis-in-law found those beautiful Kate Mack outfits for the small girls on Ebay.
Tell her you aren't going to get over the lovey dovey stage. DH and I will be celebrating our 16 anniversary this year and we are still lovey dovey. Great pictures by the way.
Congrats on 16 wonderful years! I hate taking pictures, but feel like these were worth the effort.
Desiab, Those are wonderful! I love them! It looks like you guys had such a good time! Thanks for sharing!
Stacy:cool1:
What wonderful pictures! Thank you so much for sharing! Would love to see more!!
Desiab, those pictures are wonderful..........very nice................whatever photographer took your pics has done a wonderful job. Excellent shots!
can't wait to see more:goodvibes
We did have a wonderful time. I told DH that I think the CM was having more fun than us because he took so many candid shots of the kids that we didn't even ask for.
Desiab, those are great! Your daughters and nieces are just beautiful! Your whole family is!
I would have to agree with you! ::yes::
Desiab, those are beautiful photos. Let me in on your secret, where did you find the photographer to take those photos. All I ever saw where cm in the parks taking photos.
michelle
Mickeyfan, these were from the private session we booked at the Grand Floridian. I believe the info on how to do it is at the beginning of the thread.
Desiab your pictures are wonderful. The cm was very creative with the different poses. You have a beautiful family, you must be proud.
I love how the CM took time to do different shots with us. We got some awesome pictures. Thank you for the compliment about my beautiful family.
Great pictures. I love to the larger group pics because we will be a group of 7
We had a blast even with a large group. SIL and I help to keep the kids wrangled for the shots.
desiab -- great shots! The one with the girls is so pretty and the kissing one with the kids is hilarious!

All your pics are beautiful but I just love this shot - it's great! very creative :rotfl2:
Love the photo of the kids covering their eyes and you guys kissing!!
That's terrific!!!
I had never seen anyone's shot done like this and when we saw the previews we were cracking up laughing.
Desiab - Your family is beautiful - it looks like you all had a great time! Thank you for sharing the pictures.
Thank you!
I have some questions for those of you have recently called to book your appnt and I have some question for those of you who have recently had your pictures taken.
Do you see your pictures right after the photo session?
Thanks.
Christa
I only know the answer to this question. We saw our pictures as soon as we went back inside to the Photo Pass Booth.

I am thinking about seeing if they do the same thing in California at Disneyland. I think that would be a nice thing for my hubby and I to do on our second honeymoon. I hope you had fun on your camping trip.:goodvibes

They have not added this at DLR and, as of last week, there are no PUBLISHED plans to do so. I was sad. :(

That's just not fair. Maybe they don't think that there are as many people that will be interested in it.

I think those of us who count DL as our home park get the raw end of the deal a lot. However, I don't really complain much because we have the best park. :lovestruc

Quick Question:
Approximately how long does it take to receive your CD after you come home & place the order online? :confused3 Just curious how long I have to wait to get the pics! We are booked for our photo session at 9:00 AM on July 6th - at the Poly! :thumbsup2 (I apologize in advance if this is a repeat question. I've been following along for a while, but don't recall this info!)
Also ....... if anyone knows where to find a boys' (sz 8) white button-down, preferrably linen, shirt, please feel free to let me know! :rotfl: I've been searching for my son's shirt for a while now, with no luck yet! :worried:
I will be happy to share our photos upon return ........ :3dglasses

I am planning on booking a photo shoot at the Beach Club when it opens up (July something...) and I'm trying to find clothes for myself and DH and kids. Any ideas on:
1. Where to find matching clothes, shirts, outfits, etc.
2. What colors do you recommend for the Beach Club - we all have brown hair and my DH and kids have blue eyes and I have hazel eyes.
Thanks in advance!

It was only about $10 too! Even better ........... Now, I'll have 3 days to find DD14 a white sundress :faint: ..... wish me luck!

Thanks all for the kind words!
We did ours at 6:30 pm. The last time slot is 7 but that was already taken. The pics I chose we were not squinting, but there were definitely shots that we were squinting. It was also overcast that evening, but I guess it is just inherently bright.
I can not remember the name of our photographer for sure, but I believe his name was Luis. Just don't quote me on that!

I saw a beautiful white eyelet sundress at Target recently on the clearance rack. It looked like something my teenage daughters would wear. You might try the target in your area. I believe it was the Isaac Mizrahi brand.

I posted a couple screenshots a few pages back, but I got my PhotoPass CD. Here are some shots from our Poly shoot in May. I included a shot from almost all of the backgrounds. It lasted approximately 45 minutes, and we had about 80 or so raw images. This was the kids' first time to WDW, and these were taken after our first day. We had been in MK all morning, but scheduled about a little over an hour for down time before the shoot. So, here we are, my grandparents, mom, DNiece, DS and me!!

$125.00
I asked the cast memeber what that includes she told me that it includes the sitting fee, rights to the cd for all the pic's that they take. She also told me that what ever photo pass potos you take before the session they can also add them to the cd..........WHICH IMO is the best value.
or
$50 for the sitting fee and then you purchase each photo.
I hope I expalined this right. you can call 407-824-1700they can tell you for sure
So for $125 I could get all the photopass put on there too? so if I did it my last full day etc. . . .
how many pics do they take? And where exactly? Tell me more :)

Another shade of purple would look nice. I really like the different shades of orange stripes. I showed DH the "orange group" and he reminded me off... (sorry,:offtopic: ) Do any of you watch CSI Miami? They often wear orange (the CSIs, not the criminals) and the color really shows up nicely.

Hi all, we just got back from Disney! My family did the GF and the Poly shoot and I must say that I enjoyed both places! The first shoot was the GF and it was just me and DD and the one at Poly was the whole family. I do believe that they took more photos at the Poly though. We are planning on heading back next year and if we do, I plan on booking another photo shoot, just not sure where...

You do not purchase the photo pass photo card, the first time that you have your photo taken by a photo pass photographer, they will give you the card. The only thing that you will need to purchase will be the photo cd.

Can't wait to have a family photo done. DD is 2 now, and we don't have notta 1 photo of all of us! What better place to have it done than the Happiest Place On Earth?

OK, so going in August but only doing one day in the parks, maybe a water park too, so the the photopass CD doesn't make sense for us. If I don't get the photopass CD, the sitting fee is $50, then how much for each picture? Or does the $50 include the CD with the pictures on it? I'm confused for how this works if I decide not to get the photopass.
Also, one of my kids is special needs. To those who have done this, do you think the photographers could deal with that?

The $50 does not include the CD; photos from the Disney site run about $12.95 and up (very expensive). I would look for a photopass share here on the dis boards. So basically you are paying $50 for the session and to look at your photos; it would benefit you for either a share or to pre-order to get the $25 session fee and the CD would cost you $99.95. There are photopass photogs at the water parks along with the theme parks so in the long run you might get more pictures that you would think.

I agree! Definitely not a great deal to pay the sitting fee and buy prints. It would probably cost the same (or even less!!) to pre-purchase the CD and pay the $25 sitting fee. We also took at least 40 PhotoPass pictures during our day at MGM (can't start calling it DHS ) alone, which we doubled with edits and embellishments in the site.

Yeah, I was wondering what kind of shots they would take there too. Can anybody who is real familiar with BC make a good guess at what you think would make good backgrounds? Beach? Pier? What about inside shots? Any ideas?
I think that there are some pretty spots along the beach, with either swings or benches to sit on. Also, they could pose people sitting with the tall grass behind them (like I've seen in photos from the GF). The dock would make a nice spot, too. I even think the walkway to the bus stop is a spot that might make a nice photo.
And of course SAB has some really pretty spots with rocks and flowers ...
As far as indoors, the Solarium is so pretty and quiet ... I think it would be a great place for photos! There are also little spots along the various hallways that have seating, but I don't know if they would work for the photo sessions.
Anyway, I can hardly wait to see what the photos look like! :)

I am planning on booking a photo session at the BC for our August trip. It will be myself & my DS and my sister & her DS. We can't decide what to wear! I was thinking we could all wear khaki/beige bottoms and each of us wear a different color "Life is Good" t-shirt with a summer theme. Then I thought the boys could wear blue "life is good" t-shirts and my sister and I can wear yellow. My DS has the blue shirt with 'jake' on the boogie board, I have yellow with the beach chair & umbrella. My sister has yellow with a daisy and her DS has blue with a baseball. What do you think? Or should we stick to one color? Or should my sis and her DS wear one color and my DS and I wear another?
Oh, decisions, decisions!

I was told by a CM at the Poly that there are several greenery shots, some shots on the staircase with the chandelier behind it, they use some columns as well she said. She said she had just gotten the info and saw the "samples". She said AKL would also be added soon, but that the photo locations weren't as good. She said the BC ones looked great. HTH as I have not been to the BC before! LOL

By looking at the composition of your photos, I could tell you had Luis. We had him too, and I wasn't impressed at all. (And here in a different thread I said I wouldn't blast him by name. Doh!) Let's just say in one of our shots, he parked us just outside the door of Capt. Cooks, and had our backs to the GCH. Well, they were doing work to that side of the GCH, so in the background of some of our photos, you can clearly see the scaffolding! When he was posing these shots, there was a door mat that was draped across one of the lamp posts that was right behind us, and when he set us up, it was clearly going to be shown in the photo! I had to say, "what about this?". He then moved us around to cover it up.
We also told him that we wanted candids on the beach, and he was clearly not experienced with candids. His framing of our kids on the beach included parts and halves of our bodies (me & my DW), and not just of our kids. He really didn't have any ideas, so we had to come up with all of them. There wasn't any of the cute ideas that you see here. Had I known that I needed to have the ideas myself, I would have taken notes from this thread.
Our family shot on one of the hammocks was a disaster too. He had the 4 of us lay down on it! My wife looks completely uncomfortable. Although afterward, I suggested that we sit on it and that shot came out better, except he used the building as a backdrop and not the grassy area.
Our shots in the lobby of the GCH were inconsistent as well. The one with my wife and kids looks pretty good, they're lit well and the background is lit well (you can see all of the plants and such), but the one with me and my girls - the background is completely dark and we're just lit with the harsh flash. A shot anyone with a point & shoot camera can take.
I will say a few of the pictures he took were pretty good, but for 100+ photos, keepers in the single digits makes for a really low success rate. Not my idea of $125 well spent. So if you're at the Poly and want candids or really cute ideas like you see here, I wouldn't recommend Luis.
My wife just reminded me to add: when we were waiting in line before our shoot, we saw another couple viewing their photos with the other photog (older, taller guy), and they were great. Makes it more disappointing to see their results vs. ours.
I should have said something right then and there, but I didn't have the heart to. It was the last day of our stay too, which put us in a time pinch (it had been rescheduled due to the weather).
I would do it again, though. I would just schedule it earlier in our trip, and complain right then and there if I didn't like them!

Is that if you don't prepurchase the CD? We already have, so the plan was to just get all photos from the session and then any other photopass photos on one CD ordered later. Should that be possible or do I have to make that clear to the session photographer? The session is the first thing we're doing, so we won't have any photopass cards from the parks yet.

You get the CD if you pay the full price there so everything you stated is correct. This is what I did - prepurchased, had the shoot, viewed my photos back at our resort on my cousins laptop to make sure they turned out, then used the same card for the rest of the trip and they just showed up every night in the account (more like 20 minutes after they were taken), did everything and I mean everything to them and ordered my CD.

So, we are going with a large group, and we will have 3 sessions scheduled for the same resort, back to back. Will we be able to get all 3 for $25 ea? Or would it be a good idea to bring 3 copies and give say, my dad one for the large group, keep one for my families session, and then my sis one for her family? Or does it matter if it we just say we have 3 sessions here is our one receipt?:confused3 I've read elsewhere that other sessions are $50, after the first one.

It won't work like that since the receipt is technically only good for one family but you can try it. I know that people in photopass shares have been able to do it where everyone uses it. Technically the first group would be $25 each and then the other 2 groups would be $50 each. I would just print 3 receipts and not say anything unless asked.

Okay, I'm really confused now. :confused3 (nothing new LOL!)
I'm in a photopass share with my sister with a prepaid CD. For our photo sessions, her family will go to a different resort at at different time than my family. Do we both pay $25 or will one of us have to pay $50? TIA

My question piggybacks on the pp's. I am in a Photopass Share but am not the host. The receipt will have the host's name and addy on it but none of the other people in my share are planning to do this.
Will they accept the receipt and only charge me $25 if someone else's name is on it?
mom2zandjsquared
07-08-2008, 03:19 PM
For the 2 PP's here is my personal experience and I think it depends on the photographer. My cousin and I did a photopass share together and she couldn't get the photoshoot for $25 because the receipt wasn't in her name but from my understanding here and elsewhere that it depends on the photographer you get. You can just tell them what you want to tell them, nothing at all really but my cousin is soooo honest that it didn't work out for her.
mousebit ~ You should be fine since its a different resort; sharing as a family.
TPCShauna ~ You should be fine as well and they know all about shares well a lot of CM's do so you could just tell them so
I wanted to come back and add that I am sure others have had different experiences and hopefully someone else can chime in!!

I pre-ordered the CD and I'm waiting for my 30 day window to book a photo session at the Beach Club. Will the fee still be $25.00? It says on my photopass CD receipt that the $25 is only for GF portrait sessions. :confused3 Anyone know for sure? Thank you!

They probably just haven't updated the wording on the email. I know everyone that's done theirs at the Poly has been posting that they paid $25 if they preordered the CD.

Oh wow -- I can't believe how many of you have responded in the short time I went to town, ate dinner & watched a family movie! :rotfl:
Thank you all so much for your kind words.:grouphug: I also want to thank EVERYONE who posted & shared photos before me for serving as my inspiration for this photo session! This is my favorite "souvenir" ever from WDW!
These pictures are really special to me personally b/c we are a "blended family" and this is the first time we've had a "family portrait" done since we've been married (5 yrs). I've always wanted family pictures on the beach - and our favorite place in the world is WDW - so combining the 2 was perfect (for us)! :thumbsup2 And in regards to the "girls only" picture that a couple people said they liked so much ..... it is special because only the youngest DD is "mine" ... the oldest is my step-daughter. My DH is also my son's step-father ......... so the pictures of us that way were unique for us because that's not how we were "originally" (you know, before the blend). For me, it truly represents the "blended" part of our family.
Thank you for allowing me to share WHY these pictures are special..... and thank you again for the inspiration! I would have never known about these photo sessions w/o this thread and everyone sharing their information - and photos!!!
Okay ........... now y'all want me to shut up & share the BEST pictures, right? Here you go .....
These are all on the beach - at my request (except for the VERY LAST & VERY BEST photo). He was really nice & asked if there was anything in particular I wanted, so I jumped at the chance to have us all in the sand...... with THE CASTLE in the background! :cloud9:

(ok- seriously - what's not to love about your 3 children, in matching clothes, standing on the beach, holding hands, looking at Cinderella Castle?!?!?)
Yeah, I know it's a photo only a mother could love, but hey, I'm a mother! :goodvibes
Now ...... ladies (and gentlemen, if there are any) ..... I need a drum roll please ......... this is the VERY BEST PHOTO ever taken of our family!!! (I told you I was saving the best for last)
I have to preface this by saying, I honestly thought our photographer had lost his ever-loving mind when he made me lay face down accross a hammock IN A DRESS and took my picture! But, when he made those darn kids pile in on top of us, I knew he'd flown the coop!!! For crying out loud man, I got up early and IRONED clothing for FIVE people this morning ... got everyone up, dressed, make-up'd and packed to CHANGE RESORTS before we showed up for this 9:00 AM photo session ..... can't you just take a beautiful picture of my family on the beach!?!?
Yeah ....... well, he did. We're in a hammock! Who knew ......... :confused3
http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x24/lbharwood/Disney%20July%202008/Disney%20Photo%20Session/DisneyPhotoImage150.jpg
I would also like to add that our photographer, Richard from Lakeland FL, talked to us a little bit about his background. It turns out, he IS a professional photographer. Disney sought him out from a resume he had posted online. He used to have his own studio in Lakeland prior to coming on to work full time for Disney, about 3 yrs ago. He's been a Photopass photographer for about 7 yrs total. He said that the photographers in the parks don't necessarily have any professional experience, but the ones at the resorts doing these sessions DO. I thought that was interesting. Don't quote me on it, but it's what he told us. I think the photographers kinda move from resort to resort too. I would definitely make a specific request for this particular photographer. He was GREAT! We plan to do another session in December with my parents and I think I might ask if it's possible for him to do them. Can't hurt to ask ..........
Well, this concludes my "photo session report". Hope you've enjoyed ..... I will be writing a full trip report - beginning in the next few days - and will include all of this in it as well! (yeah, I'm not that original) I think I'm going to include a link to this thread in my report to share with anyone else who might be planning & decide this is a perfect idea for their family!!!
Now, please collect all of your personal belongings (including small children) and exit to your far right .......... Oh, I'm not a Disney anymore??? Ooops!

I don't have my CD but had them done at the BC over 4th of July weekend - some were on the beach with boardwalk in back, standing and sitting on the sand, some by the flowering bushes by the back entrance, inside in the solarium then in the library on the DVC side. They came out very nice - was a good location. We have already done the shoot at GF and Poly also.

Can someone explain how the photo pass works at Chef Mickey's. The Disney site mentions that [*Tableside photo purchase required to add dining photos to your Disney's PhotoPass ID] Does that mean that you have to purchase the photos at the table to get the photos added to the CD? and how much does that cost?

That's exactly it! You need to purchase the pictures that they bring to your table first and then they will add them to your photopass. The pictures aren't cheap! I think between $20 and $30, but I'm not positive. Ours turned out really bad in May so we didn't buy them! I wish they would offer a smaller package too!

If you buy one at the table, will they add ALL the pics they took at Chef Mickey's or just the one you bought?:confused3

We are eating at Akershus and I understand that the photos are now included. Will they put those on our photo pass? I pre-ordered the photo pass CD if that makes a difference.
Check out the information on this link. It will answer your questions.

Mouseadditcs - BEAUTIFUL PICS!!! The are very special. What time was your photo shoot? It seems that your photographer took some pics of your family in the shade. Was that because of the bright sun?
Thank you in advance!

I have two questions about the sessions. First, am I correct that they're booked at 30 days out? Also, can you do two sessions? We can't decide between the GF and the BC, and DH suggested that we just do both.
Thanks!

I was hoping the August rumor for Wilderness Lodge meant August 1st, meaning we'd get to do ours there. However, when I called to make our appointment, they said Wilderness Lodge had been delayed and might be ready closer to the end of August.
I booked at Grand Floridian instead. I was surprised they didn't ask for a credit card guarantee for the reservation.
When we called three days ago they told us that the WL was available to be booked when we will be there (last week of August). I guess because that's where we are staying but I knew where I wanted the pictures taken, the GF.

We have a photo session scheduled for 5 pm (we have an ADR an hour and 20 minutes later) at the GF the last week in August. Will the sun be too bright or cause problems for us on the beach? Or should we reschedule for a different time?
Now just have to decide what we are going to wear. We considered white but wanted something that would make us stand out better. Plus white isn't always the best choice for our children. DH suggested black for all of us. DD and myself in black dresses and DH and DS in black polo shirts (provided we can find one that fits DS since he's small for his age) and khaki shorts. I think he found things on a Disney site (that could have embroidery of certain characters on it). Anyone have any ideas?

If anyone wants WL who is going on their trip soon, I'd try again now. I called the regular photo reservation number, and they gave me a different number for the WL. I just called and he said they are taking reservations, sorry I didn't think to ask when the first available was since we're not going for two weeks. But if you're interested in the WL, it wouldn't hurt to try the different phone number. The number is 407-824-1756, it goes right to a WL photopass representative. I was just able to get August 23.

Hi ya'll; I just got off the phone w/ the photo dest at the GF and here's what I learned;
1. There is now a central number to reserve a photo session 1-407-934-4004. This will have a menu to select the resort you'd like to book at.
2. Unfortunately, we can't request a particular photographer; but he did say that quite a few people have been asking for Richard:goodvibes
3. The first session is at 8:30am for those of us masochists who wanted to know.
See ya'll there! At least in pics:cool1:

Thanks - I'll be sure to post some (assuming I can figure out how) once we get our CD. I bet Christmas photos at the WL will be beautiful, we stayed there at that time of year once.
We're actually doing two photo sessions, we have a Poly session the week before then decided to do WL too since we heard about them. I rarely make it in to any of our vacation pictures, so we decided to buy the CD and rely more on photopass this time around. Now we just hope it's not raining...

After seeing all of the wonderful photos posted here, I've gotten very excited about doing a photo session. We are going the first week of March '09. So, it occurred to me last week that if I'm going to find coordinating outfits, I need to do it now because I won't be finding summery clothes in Michigan in February! So, I went to the mall for a couple hours today, and it's too late. Everything's on clearance and picked over. I especially like the look of everyone wearing white in the photos. I found one white dress each for DD and I, neither of which I was crazy about. Nothing for DS, and a few shirts for DH, but not what I would consider his style. I know I cannot pull together coordinating outfits from the clothes we've been wearing this summer. So, now I'm totally stressing about what I'm going to do so that they look nice. And DH loves it when I stress about family pix as it is- he'll really love to hear about this for the next 7 mos!!

If you do decide to go white - white dresses are nice for the girls, if you can find cute ones. For my guys, I usually just buy them plain white polo shirts, and then they wear (light) khaki shorts (we do this at the beach). I just bought DS a new one for our beach trip a couple weeks ago at Target. They should still have them. DH is just wearing his one from last time. I think from Target also. We've decided to do white tops/denim bottoms this time around, and I also found a cute white top for DD at Target. T and Children's Place are good for plain ole' solids for boys.

I just pre-ordered the $99 photopass. We would like to have a sitting at the polynesian.
Doe the $99 cover the sitting fee or do we have to pay extra for it. I thought it was included as we did the same at GF last year and just paid $99.

what is the cancellation policy if you book a shoot and need to cancel? WE're only going to WDW for four whole days, and it's in October where I hear rains a lot and I'd hate to book a photo shoot if all the pics were taken indoors...has anyone had this happen? Did you take the pics anyway, and what did they look like? are there enough places indoors to take some good pics?

I just want to make sure I'm understanding all of this. If you pre-order the photopass CD which is $99, you then only have to pay $25 for the sitting fee, then they upload all of the photos taken to your CD and you can print out whatever you want when you get home wherever you want?

I read about this photo session thing on another website and we are definitely going to do it. I got us a reservation at 9am for the session at the Beach Club. I thought early in the morning would be the easiest because it might not be as hot. I did preorder the cd and that is the way to go if you want to do the photo session because if you buy the cd there its $125 plus $50 for the sitting fee. With the $99 prepurchase CD its $25 for the sitting fee. Great deal.
You get a copywright release too so you can print the photos anywhere, which is great. I plan on using one of the pictures for our xmas cards this year. They say you get approx between 40-80 photos taken. They put those and all your other park pictures on the cd. I think its a great deal.

This is what happened to us - I booked our shoot 30 days out; arrived and decided I wanted it later so scheduled it but about 2 hours later it looked like it was going to poor and the kids and I were ready so I called and was able to get in right then. It ended up not raining (as is the case here in FL) and was sunny by the time our session was over. So I have no experience of what they do but I assume they would do mostly covered and indoor shots.

Hubbie and I did the Beach Club photopass session just a few days ago at 7pm it was wonderful. We had Dallas as a photographer and she is a professional photographer and does Disney twice a week for the perks. So, we got awesome pics can't wait to get them back. She took about 55 but only about 45 showed up when I loaded them when we got home not sure why the discrepancy.
She did say they just added Wilderness lodge last week and Animal Kingdom is next on the list within the month.
It was a wonderful experience and I might do it again if all my kids are with us next trip.

What I am worried about is the squinting in the pictures.

Hey, those are our dates, also! We're there Dec. 7-14.
I'm really not sure about what to wear. I thought red because the lodge is so green but DH does NOT look good in red and it's only an OK color for me. Blue is our best color and we both do well in green also but I think green would blend too much with the Lodge. DH and I both look horrible in white so that won't work either.
Do y'all think blue would be too awful for the WL at Christmas time? What about black? What color would you do?

I would not do blue. Especially around xmas. Instead of red why not go with a maroon instead? It would blend well with the rustic effect of the lodge as well as xmas time (cinnamon) I would think the only issue would be to make sure you dont blend in with the decorations. Have you thought about maybe a plaid color? We did Plaid for last years holiday cards and they turned out awesome. Just a thought.
Here is some examples.

No one has any new pictures?? It has been very quiet with pictures lately. I am just waiting until the 19th so I can book my sitting. I think we are doing the Poly and we have our outfits already picked out. LOL!!!

seems like a tough decision. I'd go with white :goodvibes
Neither of us look good in white. I look like a ghost and DH looks washed out. I would hate to spend the time and extra $$ for this and wear a color that makes us both look bad.
I would not do blue. Especially around xmas. Instead of red why not go with a maroon instead? It would blend well with the rustic effect of the lodge as well as xmas time (cinnamon) I would think the only issue would be to make sure you dont blend in with the decorations. Your pics are darling and you are right that the plaid does look great. Unfortunately, DH can't wear anything in a red tone. He has rosacea so his cheeks are super red and the rest of his face is flushed. Anything with a red tone - even if it is brick or maroon - makes him look really flushed.
So do you think that forest green would blend too much? We also both look great in black but thought that might not be the best option for nice photos.

I think forest green would definately blend too much. This might sound kinda silly but would your husband consider foundation just this once? To even out the redness. My husband did it one time...had really bad windburn( was -35)and it didnt look too bad. We even laughed about it. :rotfl:
If he is against that I dont think black would be too bad. I know the Disney Store sold black Sweaters with Mickey heads on them. Maybe he can wear black and you wear black with a red trim. That would look pretty.

We will be wearing blue for our Christmas photo because blue always looks so good in pictures. We won't blend in with any Christmas decorations wearing blue and our previous Christmas pictures have always been wearing red clothes. For the session, I am really hoping for nice outdoor pictures with foilage, not anything resort specific. Planning for the Poly before our Ohana dinner.

The more I thought about it the more IVORY kept coming up. That blends with almost anything.
