Looking at the Fleetwood Bounder (gas). Either the 34G or 35E. Not sure yet which one. Do any of you have any experience with Fleetwood? Any pros or cons? Right now we have a 31' Coachmen Freelander (Class C). Would like more room inside. Any other brands I should consider?
SORRY- I know this is off topic but I enjoy (and trust) the opinions of all my friends (at least I consider you guys friends, hope you feel the same) here on DIS. This is the best place in my opinion to ask this question. Technically it has to do with camping at the Fort cause we would be bringing it to camp at the Fort. ;)

I am hoping it will work out. We will have to see if the price will be right. :goodvibes
You will probably appreciate this being a pet owner but one reason is I would like more room in the bedroom so the dog can come sleep in there. Right now there is no room. She is too big (yellow lab) and the bedroom is too small (no slide). She tries to get in there and I am afraid one of these days I will need the jaws of life to come pry her out. lol

Fleetwood makes a very good coach!!! The bounder has been around for a long time. I had a friend that had one but it was a diesel he loved it and never had any problems.

If I'm not mistaken the Bounder is, and has been, Fleetwood's best selling MH. We were just at Lazy Days in Tampa last Saturday just looking around and we were really impressed with both the Bounder Gas & Diesel - more so than Fleetwood's higher priced Discovery.
I myself am a die-hard Winnebago person, but if the price were right, I'd consider a Bounder in a heart-beat. They've been around forever!!
Good luck! Now's a good time to buy because of the lower interest rates - so - go for it if you can!!

The Bounder seems to have a lot of bang for the buck. A lot of things that seem to be options on others are standard on these. The floor plans were really nice. It is really so hard to choose. We are going to an RV show this weekend which is always fun and overwhelming at the same time. I love one RV then go to an RV show and find something I love more. Sometimes what I love and the price tag of it don't work out very well if you know what I mean.
We don't have many options in our area as far as dealers go. I have heard about Lazy Days and thought about looking into there dealership but they are so far away (we are in VA). I am just not sure about buying something so long distant plus dealing with ours as a trade.
I have not really looked at Winnebago. I will have to check them out. Around here we have few dealers and they mainly have Fleetwood, Coachmen and I can't think of the other right now.

I have a Fleetwood bounder 2007 Gas 33E is the floorplan I think. We just love it and went to the Florida rv supershow a couple of weeks ago and we through lots of other class A's and didn't find another floorplan that we liked as much as ours. We bought ours from Lazy Days about 8 months ago and good a really good deal on it. My father works for Lazy Days as a Tech. and I did get employee discount but trust me they will come way down on the prices they have posted. My father says that Fleetwood has a very good warentee department if you ever need to use it. If you have any other questions please ask. Oh yea ours is on the Ford chasis and gets about 5 to 6 mpg.

Thanks for the info. Nice looking motorhome. I have heard some good things about Lazy Days but they are so far away from us I don't know how we could make it work.

Thank I will stick with my 5er and a 1-ton diesel. 10 mpg not great but twice as good as 5 mpg :scared: I thought MH also got around 10 mpg.

I have a Fleetwood Expedition 38N diesel pusher. ( see sig picture ) I am very happy with the product and may I suggest you go over to rv.net and read the Class A forum for more information on Bounders and others. If I'm not mistaken the diesels out sell the gas by 3 to 1. Diesels have more pulling power and load capacity. I know the mileage can be lower but I get 6 to 8mpg, but my coach only has 7000 miles on it and everyone tells me it won't be broken in until 10,000 to 15,000 miles. There are a lot of other advantages to diesel but go to rv.net and read those posts to compare the differences.
