So exciting. He is super sweet and looks so cuddly! I know it has been said, but really - sleep when he sleeps. Let someone else make you dinner and do your laundry. Really. Real life will come crashing in soon enough. Enjoy! (make sure to take pictures of toes and fingers! They grow so fast!)

Thanks everyone. We are still in the hospital but I'm starting to feel better so I'm on the computer for a bit. The c-section went good and I'm doing well with that but the last two days I got sick to my stomach shortly after breast feeding. They think its low blood sugar for me afterwards so I'm not snacking more through out the day and drinking some soda just afterwards and it seems to be helping but they wanted me to stay until tomorrow at least to see if I get past it.
Noah is doing a good he's lost a little weight and has some jaundice so he's wearing is glow-worm blanket today LOL but he's doing great. I've taken lots of pics so can't wait to scrap them.
Hopefully going home tomorrow and I'll check in when I can.

Jenny- Congrats!! I cannot see the photos but I am sure from what everyone says he is a darlin'. Yes cannot be said enough sleep when he sleeps!!!! If you need any nursing support please feel free to vent or ask did this happen to you....... etc. I nursed both babies one 3 years ago and one still going strong now (which is funny my general practicer had a baby 17 days after me and she was shocked I am still nursing and so is the day care they had 2 breastfeed babies in 1 1/2 years....hmm and I thought it was the "in" thing anyway.......)
Let us know if there is anything we can help with. I'd cook some meals for you but....... :goodvibes

I noticed that your DS weighed about the same as my DD, she was 10 Lb 6 oz...just some advice(not that you asked for any ;) ) you will constantly hear big remarks and people will always assume he is older then he is right from the get go!!! The first time my DH and I took her out in public everyone thought she was 3 months old and she was two weeks old. It gets old after a while but I guess it's just human nature!!! Best wishes to you and your beautiful baby boy!!!

DH posted the pics so I'll see what I can do about getting them back up later. He wasn't exactly sure what he was doing so they may just not be set up right. LOL
We came home yesterday and so far so good. DH and my mom are doing alot of work so thats really helpful. He's still having issues with the breast feeding but we're working on it. He just doesn't get the latching very well so its a struggle but once he gets it he gets going so the lactation consultant gave us some tricks to try but in the mean time I've been pumping and he gets that in a bottle when he gets to frustrated to keep trying or when he's done with me but still needs a little more.
Right now we are dealing with jaundice. He was doing ok with the billyblanket in the hospital but the one they sent home he absolutly hates and screams whenever we turn it on. His levels were on the way down before we left so hopefully after todays doctors appointment they'll say we don't even have to use it at all.
I'll check the pics when I get home and see about posting some more.

well i bet you are glad to be home!
just thought i'd throw something out there at you. i did NOT breastfeed but my niece is currently and she had the same problems that you are having and they told her to go to Babies R Us (i think) and get a shield to put on her breast and he took to that so much better. i don't know if that helps but i thought i'd let you know. she said it made a world of difference. it was night and day. (her words) if you want to know more i would be happy to call her.
enjoy that baby. such a blessing.
