hi just found out that there is a universal credit card, does anyone know if the points are good for tickets and room or just merchandise as we wont be going until next year i can rack up those points...thanks

I don't know of any points but they do offer different specials during the year. Last summer I believe they had express pass for half-price. They do have specials on tickets, etc.

It's actually through CHASE. I opened an account so I could by my tickets with it. The special was your first purchase of over X amount and you got a $25 credit. So I purchased all our vacation tickets with it and got $25 credit back. I don't think there are any points, or miles, etc., but Phamton is absolutely correct, it seems like there are lots of specials with this card. Watch the Universal website closely.

Oh yeah, I also got 0% interest for the first 12 months! (and the regular rate after the promo period was pretty good as well)

You do get points with the card to use towards things like merchandise and park tickets. It's basically like any other points for credit cards. However, they do give specials on things periodically. We've never been able to take advantage of them though since we have APs and we get those discounts.

i opened my chase universal master card many years ago.

you receive double points for any purchase universal related......one point for all other purchases.

you can go to the web site and see what you can redeem your points for.


i am only 10,000 points away from a free stay at HRH for a weekend.......
