What type of room or room class did you receive at Dromoland Castle? On their website there are rooms in the older parts of the castle that have a court yard view and main castle or link corridor rooms that have lake, garden or golf course views. Just wondering since this is sort of the climax of the trip if the room was also five star?

Ireland is a new location for ABD in 2008 and you won't get any replies on it until people actually travel. The first date is May 2008

You may be better off looking at tripadvisor.com to see what people have to say about the hotel itself

No, there are folks who have been in June and Sept. of 2007 so I don't think 2008 is the first time for Ireland

We were on the Sept. 6, 2007 trip to Ireland. Dromoland Castle is the most beautiful place I have stayed!! Our small group of 12 were spread out in the castle. We had a deluxe room close to the main lobby. Our room was big and beautiful just like the castle. The food is excellent as well as the service. Do take advantage of checking out the grounds!!

I've stayed at Dromoland Castle, but not thru ABD. It is a beautiful castle and the grounds are breathtaking.

I stayed in one of the honeymoon suites, and the suite was enormous. The suite was bigger than the apartment I was living.

It is a truly wonderful castle!

No Prob. 01Sweatpea!!! And thanks for the info 1Whooper. A deluxe room on the Dromoland website is very expensive per person so a 2 night stay for 2 people thru ABD almost pays for the whole trip. That's fantastic. Thanks for the info princess:
