Hotels by San Diego airport

Are there any hotels around the aiport that are walking distance and at a low rate ($100 - $150)?

We have a really early flight and the rental car company is not open as early as we need to return the car so thought maybe we could switch hotels for the last night and return our car early. Our hotel now does not start the airport shuttles until 6:00am and we need to leave around 4:00am.

Any suggestions?

The closest hotel is probably the Sheraton, but it is pricey and is across a very busy street, which I wouldn't want to cross it at 4am with luggage.

Your best best is probably just taking a cab to the airport.
