I keep waiting for it to sell out. There is still time for anyone wishing. Please help me out and sign up by my deadline which is Thursday!!! This way it will be out of my hands. "Oops, I tried. I just missed it". Otherwise I will have to sign up again.

I just registered. This was totally spur of the moment. DH and I started talking about it this morning and now Disney has our 500 bucks so I guess we are really doing it.

Cecelia,
Were you the TnT person that I was running and talking with in MGM and going over the path to the boardwalk?

Cruella de mom
01-31-2008, 11:10 AM
Yes! I introduced myself but I don't think you recognized my name at the time. I think I caught up to you right before we entered Hollywood Studios. I was only able to walk for a few feet at a time but didn't feel much like running at that point. I was enjoying the scenery since I didn't remember any of it from last year.

Were you still running with me in Epcot when that young man started yelling at me for dancing? (Talk about the Bite Me Zone!) I stopped dancing and took off to Mexico, where I was refused a margarita. (Some rule about serving athletes...) So I had to run in empty handed. Next year I am going to get someone to wait for me at Mexico with my margarita!

I coundn't remember your name, but I definately remember you. We had separated prior to Epcot, but I enjoyed running with you between MGM and the Boardwalk. It was nice to have someone to talk with. Next year, I'll treat you to a Margarita.

You are on!

However, we have to have a non-runner order it for us. At least thats what they tried to tell me when I went into the cantina in Mexico. They claimed they were not allowed to serve the runners anything - even water. I am sure there will be someone willing to volunteer to sit at Epcot and drink margaritas while waiting for us to finish!

I am willing to buy margarita's for everyone. The charge for the service is 1 margarita for me for everyone purchased. By the end, I might be sleeping on the job:rotfl2:

That sounds like serious incentive NOT to be a back of the packer. Need to decide what I am going to do in 2009, and your anticipated dedication to this task Robert does not sound like inspiration for those of us who intend to get our full registration fee-worth of the events.

ETA: For those of us closer to a 16 minute mile, will you have call ahead service as we may not have time to stop and wait.

If you call when you enter EPCOT(at UK), I will have a nice cold one waiting for you. I could even do a quick handoff or be a designated "mule"(ultrarunning term) holding it along the the last mile as you sip as needed.

This "Premium" service requires an extra margarita for my extra effort. Limited availablity so book ahead and include estimated pace:rolleyes1

Would you be utilizing an electric scooter/wheel chair with cup holders, and if so, is the rental price of same included in the "premium" service charge? You know, that service sounds more beneficial to me than the VIP tent. If you could meet me first in England with a pint or yard of Guiness (to replenish some carbs for the home stretch) and then chase that with the margarita for the sprint/stumble to the finish, I might be in.

I could even let you rest on the back as we do the last mile from UK. I wouldn't want you to spill the beer or margarita. This would be condsidered the "Dream" package and thus would require a credit card deposit and extra fee TBA.

Of course I wouldn't spill one of the drinks. That would be alcohol abuse.

I AM IN! :rolleyes1

Some mutually crazy person (Charlie - Honeibee's DH) called me and put the screws to me saying he was ONLY talking me into running the Half Marathon since I was already signed up to run in the 5K and Marathon! He pressed about the 85% full figure, said how much fun it would be, said how cool it would be to do the "Pluto", and that I could finish and then cheer for Jenn (DD) and Cam, etc.

I vowed that this years Goofy was my last for the near future. Little did I know that the near future will end at the end of the year. :confused3

I have some logistical issues - I am currently signed up for the Marathon and 5K but want to be 5K and Goofy. But my Goofy form is in the mail today! I'll leave it up to fate as to if it gets to WDW before Goofy is at capacity.

I have multiple messages into WDW Sports about the issues. I'll let everyone know what I hear.
