We have reserved a week timeshare at Orange Lake Resort the end of May through RCI. We are staying one extra night and reserved the Holiday Inn Lake Buena Vista for our last night. Any experiences, advice, input or suggestions about either of these places? Where are they closest to? This is our first trip to Disney. Thanks.

We have stayed at Orange Lake twice and it was great. The pools are beautiful and you can be on Disney property in 5-10 minutes. The condo units are large, well appointed and very clean. We had 4 adults and 4 kids in a two bedroom and were very comfortable.
There is a supermarket right by the newer entrance.
The staff will try to get you to attend a timeshare presentation. Watch out if you are not really interested...will take hours.

and NEVER trade it. BIL SWORE he'd NEVER, NEVER, NEVER own a time share in Florida. (he's a bit of a snob :snooty: ). He visited my MIL who had traded her week in NH for a week there, once and bought that day....didn't even do a tour, just walked around and decided what he liked, went to the office and bought. Great pool, nice units and really close to everything. I don't think you'll be unhappy in the least!

Orange Lake is great. We stayed in an older unit and it was fine. It is a large property. There's a lot to do. The timeshare sells people aren't pushy.
That alone impressed me. Have fun.;)

We also stayed at OLCC through RCI in May 2005. I would go back as long as we were in a different village. We were in the West Village (first set of buildings on your right as you enter the complex) and at the time (don't know if things have changed) those units were older, a little frayed, and disappointing when you are expecting the newer units shown on the website. The new pool complex was still under construction but looks fabulous. Being able to take the back road to loop around to the Publix shopping center was great.
Have a great time!

We had to change our trip dates and could only switch to the Sheraton Vistana Resort. I hope we are happy there as I was really looking forward to Orange Lakes. Oh well..maybe next time!
Anyone been there and can suggest a good setion. We have an 11 year old who will LOVE a great pool, and we like quiet and a nice view!
