What type of items are available for purchase in the parks for scrapbooking? Are there exclusive items that I can only buy at the parks? Where can I find them? I'm soooooo excited about this trip. We're going in May and I've still got to finish our vacation from last year because I know we'll take a TON of pictures.

There is a scrapbooking store at Downtown Disney and most resort have small ares of scrapbook stuff too.
You can also find some stuff in the parks

I was disappointed in the scrapbboking stuff available at WDW. I think you can find more and better stuff at LSS and chain stores. Mousememories.com and other internet sites carry much more than I could find at WDW. If you are going to DTD, certainly check out the store. But I wouldn't recommend making a trip to DTD just to visit the store there. As the previous poster mentioned, most resorts carry scrapbooking stuff and I have seen some at Epcot and MK stores too.
Hope you have a great trip...we'll be going in September, I need to start planning!

As stated before, Disney is missing the boat with scrapbooking sales. They have the same thing in all the parks, resorts, and DTD and it is not much. There are 4 different rolls of stickers (princess, pirate, fab five, and can't remember the other one), punches, a couple of paper kits, and albums. No titles or embellishments.

I found some stuff at Mouse Gear at Epcot, and bought a few things at the store at DTD. The store at AKL also had some African themed scrapping stuff, which was the most unique of anything I saw while at the World.
When I was there I bought some stickers, paper, and a castle punch. My 40 something page scrapbook of the trip is almost done and I've used hardly any of it. With the Cricut and 3 out of 4 of the Disney carts, I was able to make better things on my own.

The first year I went to WDW after I started scrapping, I pretty much bought everything. Most of it I've struggled to use so these days I'm very picky. I've found a few great bits and bobs but they're few and far between.

The best thing to purchase I think is the special scrapbook with the year you go to Disney on it. I was there Christmas and they had a Christmas one, a three ring year one and a post year one. Of course, I wish I had bought two. One book is full and I am only halfway thru the vacation.

Okay, so there's definitely something i'm going to HAVE to buy!! Are they refillable? I'm guessing they are if you've got half a vacation in one. That will be perfect. I know we're going to take a zillion pictures. I can take 300-400 pictures during a "regular" vacation :rotfl: Another question...how do I get the 2008 gif at the bottom of your signatures? Is there a link i could copy? TIA!

You can purchase the refills at various stores, but i still have a 2nd edition(not the 2007 from WDW) but it just has Mickey on it. I wonder if anyone has seen a 2008 editions? Is it different?

Standard refills fit the Burgundy 3 ring binder. But, I would love to know if they sell the refills at the parks too. The protective pages that come in the binder are super thick and I would prefer some of those. So, if you buy, buy the refills too.

I have looked at scrapbooking supplies there regularly and never seen refills (of course they could make so much money with bvetter selections).

Forgot to mention. When you buy one in the parks, have them send it upfront to be picked up at Guest Relations. I bought mine somewhere in MGM and carried it (proudly, I say) all through the rest of the day. It was in the way a few times and I didn't dare want to crush the corners. Of course, if you are staying on property, they will take it to you hotel for you.

You could also try hotel stores, I know the store in POP - Everything Pop, had a small corner for scrapbooking, like stickers and paper refills.

try Ebay for 2008 disney scrapbook. :) They also have photo albums that have the same design. It looks alot like 2007.I always look on ebay for the latest year!! I have 1999-2007 books. All dated, so I think WDW will continue to date their scrapbboks. I have expanded all my books, but sometimes you do need more than one to finish you vacation. not advertising ebay, but it is a great place to get extra scrapbooks!!:rotfl:

it would have been nice if they designed one that was a YOAMD (blue) edition like the mugs etc. that would be cool!

they had a gold " happiest celebration on earth" scrapbook. And they now have a "Where dreams come true" scrapbook that lights up! I have the lightup one, the stars twinkle!!:wizard: They also have a " Where magic lives" scrapbook. World of Disney at Downtown Disney had most of these. I agree with the earlier statement tht the scrapbook store at DD is not that great!!
