I figured I would try something different. I would like to start a thread that will allow people to get an idea of what other people are paying for their entire land only reservation. I will start~

2 adults, 3 kids 9, 7 and 6, 5 nights at Grand Floridian G.V., 5 day hopper no waterparks, dining and ME for $3320.00. August 15-20, 2008. I got a code through guest services so it has been applied.

Surprising the kids~ :wizard:

Ok I am game :o)

2 adults, 1 child (age 5), only 2 nights at the Movies All Star. 2 day ticket (NO Hopping) & Dining Plan for $903.42. It still seems steep to me, but we will see if we keep the ressie or stay off property. March 8-10, we will arrive on the 7th but it will be so late that we will just coast in a cheaper hotel.

DFI got a code today and the avaliablity of resorts sucks. So we're still paying regular price. 2 adults(it's our honeymoon), AKL savanna view, 1 day base ticket(we were gifted 7 day PH, WP&M, NE tickets for our engagement. We added a base to get the dinning plan), and DxDDP $3551.12 including trip insurance.

Update:woohoo: We called back today to use DFI's pin and they did have a Poly GV room avaliable. So that takes our total cost down to $3141.46. So pumped!

March 29-April 5 2008 2 adults 2 children DDDP 7d PH 4 nights at Polynesian 3 nights at BW villas $4280. For airfare RT from Chattanooga to Sanford was another $464 for 4 tickets and the car rental looks to be around $216 if I were to book it now. So not bad for 8 days 7 nights:cool1:

7 nights Poly garden view (Feb 26-Mar 4) me, DH, DD4, DS1, 10 day park hopper with water park and more, no expiry. No dining plan. ME and disney travel insurance. $4657--yikes, especially considering my little one is free all around!!!

Didn't get a code but did get a "special offer" to Canadians where the park hopper and water park was upgraded for free. We added on the extra days and no expiration to get the most bang for our buck knowing that we probably wouldn't use the water park now, given the ages of our kids, but would surely in the future. This worked out cheaper than the AAA price by about $200.

10 night stay at POP with preferred room and Dining Plan, 8 day park hopper with water parks
2 actual adults (me and dh) 2 children classified as adults (11 at time of trip )
$6674.25
I think that is a decent deal when I consider flying direct to Florida. My travel agent takes a low commission on our bookings.

That doesn't seem too bad a price for flying direct out of Canada for 5 ppl.

Then again I don't fly out of Halifax very often. But for 5 that still seems not bad.

I wouldn't worry though, you are booked.

Have a great trip. :cool1:

I have been stressing about flights in August as I really want to go but will probably wait till next year.

It's booked just don't worry and start the countdown.

Last year I stressed and stressed about flight cost and finally just booked. I was told I could fly cheaper out of US but was too chicken to do the drive there. ha ha

Next time I go to WDW I might fly out of US or might just fly out of Canada for a bit more, but once i book I don't care anymore :rotfl:

Puccaw.....
ouch that seems like alot for POP.
We did the whole package thing from Canada our first trip and paid about the same as you and decided after that not to do it again.
This time I booked directly with Disney...got a canadian rate and we are staying for 9 nights at POR...I also have 2 kids that are considered adults.
We got 9 nights preferred room at POR, disney dining plan, 10 day park hoppers with water park and more included and it was 3900.00. I bought flight separate from our closest U.S departure point through airtran and it was 1000.00 for the 4 flights!!! Seriously it was going to be 3000+ for flight alone for march break from canada....we drive 1 hour more an save 2000.00!!!
total including flights for us was 4900.00 usd which is about the same candian these days...it was more than even when I paid so that was another bonus for us.
My brother is flying from Portland Maine as he is in New Brunswick and the savings were the same for them.
The markup on the canadian packages is huge...the agent isn't necessarily making the $ off you but the wholesaler who sells the package is!
But...for this time....it's done and paid and at this point you just go and enjoy it....but know for next time you can definitely get cheaper......
Canadian codes, discount codes, there always seems to be something.:hippie:

Enterprise. It's for a compact though, because there are only two of us with minimal luggage. We usually rent from them because we get such great deals. Oh, and I booked it straight through Enterprise, no middle man for that one.

CompactNissan Versa, Kia Rio or similar
72.00 USD (1 Week @ 72.00)
2.45 USD (VEHICLE LICENSE FEE RECOVERY)
14.14 USD (2.02/DAY SURCHARGE/TIRE FEE)
88.59 USD (* Subtotal)
7.30 USD (PRIVILEGE FEE RECOVERY CHARGE)
6.23 USD (SALES TAX)
Total charges 102.12 USD

YMMV of course, depending on time of year and how many days you want it for. :)

No, I didn't. I've read on the camping forum that codes don't work for campsites. We really didn't want to camp for a week in August since we have a tent and no room to tote a small fridge with us, so when the code gave us POP at $49.20 per night versus $42 per night in a tent, we chose POP. :goodvibes

We have used Southwest Vacations in the past and have been quite pleased. One way to save (we have 2 groups that go from my family) is to purchase Southwest Vacation Gift Cards. If you spend $4500, then you get $5000 in gift cards. (You can purchase lesser amounts, but the savings is reduced). This is also nice because I give this vacation as a gift to my parents and I can actually give them a gift certificate. Our last trip (Jan 2008) (for my room) was for 3 adults- 3 nights in Yacht Club, 3 nights at Grand Floridian (both garden views), 7- day Hopper, Deluxe Dining (this was a free upgrade from the regular dining plan for us due to an error with our planning) and our flights from Nashville. We also had a $150 off coupon from Southwest for REVISITing. The total was around $4600, but I had purchased the gift cards, and I "sold" them other traveling party- my sister and her husband. In the end it was about $4200 for my group and I walked away with 3-one day passes because of how the dining plan was split.

Well, I have two ressies right now, trying to decide which one or whether to rent DVC points. Wishing I could get a 40% off code because our prices seem a bit high compared to others (yes, it's my imagination, I know, and my green-eyed monster :-) ).

We have BC standard view booked for 2 adults, 2 kids and an under 3, 8 nights - 9/13-9/21 (our 10th anniversary is that week but no F&WF, plus we'd rather have YC which isn't available.), 9 day PHers, deluxe dining plan. $4664. This was the free dining bounceback offer in the rooms in 9/07.

We also have another 8 nights - 9/27-10/5 - booked. Same family listed above. YC standard view. Deluxe dining plan. 1 day base tix because two of us now have APs. $4690. Quite a bit more expensive, partly because we're entering regular season. This was booked yesterday as the current guest bounceback offer.

Booked, but haven't paid the deposit yet - seeing if waiting until the last minute might trigger a better code. Currently, this is on the 20% code we got after ordering the DVD - the CM "converted" it to allow for a package booking, although the 20% is still only being applied to the room

Aug. 25 - Sep. 1 (7 Nights)
2 Adults, 2 Kids (3-9 age range)
ASMu Family Suite
5 Day Hoppers
Standard DDP
+ One night "room-only" in the same Family Suite (Since we're from Canada and have two travel days, we only needed the dining plan for "7 Days")

(no Disney trip insurance)

$3,033.40

Saves about $300 off the standard rates. IF we can trigger the 40% or IF Free Dining is offered, converting to either of those would save us about $600 instead. We're just hoping that ANYTHING will come out that can get this down to the $2,750 range.

So pumped!

Please help if you know! :goodvibes Had a great room only discount (7 days 6 nights at CBR in October for $649) now how do I add the 1 day base ticket to include the dining plan?

And, do I change our dates to September to try to get free dining?

So... I have a trip planned for my grandparents and parents. It's the GP 61 wedding anniversary and my mom's 52nd bday. I am paying for the group to stay at WL and I have been quoted 1500.00 (WO tickets or dining) ROOM ONLY. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to reduce the price? For Value season this seems pretty high compared to what I am seeing here!

Thanks!

Okay I'll get in on this thread.

2 adults (we don't have kids) May 16th to May 25th (10 days/9 nights) at Coronado Springs resort, with 10 day magic your way tickets, plus the park hopper option, the water park fun & more option, the disney dining plan and trip insurance through Disney for a grand total of $3467.02. This does not include air fare or spending money. A little steep, but we are celebrating our
5th wedding anniversary. It will be only our 2nd trip to WDW, our first was our honeymoon. Were hoping to get a code before we leave to bring down the cost, but if not oh well.

for

8 NIGHTS at the Port Orleans Riverside (whoo hooo!);
all four of us on the *DINING PLAN*;

I was really impressed- we are paying less than $1700 for basically an all-inclusive vacation for NINE days for 4 people!

I think that is a little expensive...Last year we stayed at POP for 7 days, park hopper, but no water and no dining (well it was during free dining promo) and it only cost us 1600.00--2 adults and 2 children aswell...
If I were you I would call Disney and ask if they can give you some type of package discount, or room discount. This is just my opinion--I just wanna help you get the best deal you can.

I had 2 room's at pop 6 nights, 6 tickets with park hopping 2 children ages 6,9and 4 adult tickets ages 10,13 and mom and dad. With Disney Dining plan.

It came to $3500.00 Not sure if this was good or not. It was for August. I wanted to add I never asked about a code or discount but I was told by the CM I was geting a 40% discount on my food and tickets. I think she lied to me. She said I couldn't get a better deal on this package. I went on line to price it and it was the same prce as rack rat through Wlat Disney World Online. I called back and got a AAA discount on the 2 rooms at pop and will get the tickets later if I am not lucky enough to get a discount with a code or general public code. I have with the 6 day park hopper and the room a bit more than 2200.00 We would never eat 1300.00 worth of food we never have used our Planet Hollywood vouchers or our golfing vouchers before. I think this will work best for us.

I didn't have any trouble getting a GV at GF. I had been holding off for a code so honestly I haven't been in a big hurry to reserve. We have stayed at the GF a couple of other times and the place is so nice we decided to save $$ and not book a MK or lagoon view. I thought the price was great too. Good -Luck! Hello!

I usually use my airline discount for hotels, but after doing the "free" dining last year it was worth the full price of the room!!

I called today to get some rates (still hoping they will offer free dining), this is what I was quoted:

8/27-9/1-- 5 nites
3 day hopper pass
dining package
all star sports w/ preferred room
me, ds (14), ds (7)

$1577.18

She said I did have a code & it would have been $1789.63.

Good deal or not??

TIA

2 adults 4 kids (9,9, 5, 18 mo) staying 7 nights 8 days at Poly GV with 7 day PH (no extras) w/ DDP (non deluxe) for $5177.16

Break down:
room only approx $3143.00
tickets $1287.60
DDP $741.65 (that DMom is paying for us)

Plus our airfare for 6 seats $2176.80

Paying for trip and airfare on my Dsiney Visa (just payed off all other charges and have each charge w/ the 6 mo out no finances we''ll pay off each chunk as we go) Have about 1/2 of trip + airfare coming from fed refund, rest through monthly savings. Spending $$ are coming from a savings jar in kitchen, garage sale funds, and disney rewards card.

I got the 40% code but i'm trying to figure out if this sounds right. I booked the Poly GV in November for 6nts. 2 adults, 1 junior-12, 2 children 9&7. DDP basic & 6day basic park tickets-no hoppers for $3907.I must say that I finally had a great CM who took her time & went through all the codes to find me a room at the Poly that I could use my code along with ddp & tickets. Three other CM's said it couldn't be done. How does this price sound as I've never stayed at the Poly before-it looks absolutely beautiful!

ETA-I just received an email from Dreams Unlimited-I emailed them last night & they were able to get the same package with my code for $3273. With dates in Dec that work better for me!Wow!!They really are great!!I tried for the same dates with Disney directly & was told nothing was available with my code. I'm so glad I emailed them!

Well not really, but kind of - So I read about the FREE ticket upgrades and stuff on these boards recently. So I called Disney to see if I coud take advantage of the code/offer. Our ressie that was already bought and paid for, and fell within the date range I read about on Mousesavers... so i figured i would call, the least they would say is nope, sorry... anyway, i called last weekend to check and see if we could add it to our reservation and they said "nope, sorry" - the rooms that the code is offered on are all full. So as I learned with dining reservations, keep trying back and hopefully, eventually, somone will cancel. Well needless to say - someone did and we got free ticket upgrades and now Disney is paying us $177 and change!! How great is that?? So here is our new cost:
