I noticed that the dining room has a buffet but can you order of the menu too? Wondering if it will be cheaper that way. Like hubby and son will want a simple egg, bacon, potatoes and daughter and I a pastry..
You can order off the menu but I don't think it would be much cheaper - I glanced at the menu quickly and it was very expensive. You can get your eggs made to order at the buffet - they'll cook them however you want them. The buffet was very good and the drinks ARE included. I read somewhere before going that the juice/coffee was not included in the buffet price, but it is.
If you all would settle for pastries, cold cereal, etc. there is a continental breakfast bar in the lobby.
Or you could do a grocery stop, pick up a styrofoam cooler, milk, cereal, pastries, muffins, etc and eat breakfast in your room.

The buffet is worth checking out. I ate there a few times and they have a lot of really good food.

The buffet was amazing! After a night of heavy driking at HHN, nothing makes your day like 4 plates full of tasty breakfast foods.

DH and DS love getting the huge breakfast sandwiches in US at the bakery on the right hand side after you enter. I believe it is called Beverly Hills Boulangerie and is a must stop my boys.

Actually the prices on that menu are a bit outdated. Last week the buffet was $16.95 adult and $7.95 kids.

Personally, I would just go to the Orchid garden Lounge and get a couple of cinnabons, sitting by the pond in the morning sun is beautiful...I do feel that the breakfasts are so overpriced at the Universal resorts and if I want a good belly filling breakfast I would scoot off to the Ponderosa::yes::

$16.95 is a good deal for an all you can eat breakfast at the hotels. The food is always fresh with unlimited coffee and juice. My nephew worked at Ponderosa, and if you only knew.............................

That's great, thanks! Universal rocks with the 10% discount!
I think that I read elsewhere that characters sometimes drop by the Islands dining room?
14 days 'til our Islands breakfast buffet party: then off to the parks for day 2 of fun!!!
I'm not sure about the characters just dropping by the Islands Restaurant but they do offer character dining on certain evenings.

Do we have to make any kind of reservations for the breakfast buffet at RPR?

Is there a breakfast buffet at HRH? I loved the RPR buffet when we stayed there in 2004, and I'm surprised to read that the prices have not changed since then. The food was very, very good and everything was hot and the coffee is superb, and the orange juice is freshly squeezed. We didn't eat lunch the day we had the buffet, just grabbed a hot dog at the parks around 3pm, that's when we felt a twinge of hunger, we were so full from breakfast! If there is none at HRH I might go over to RPR for it, anyone know if there is one at HRH?

Thanks for the recomendations of the Islands breakfast buffet. We ate there each morning and it left us so stuffed that we skipped full lunches each day. We just grazed on popcorn, ice cream bars and Cinnabons.
