This will never happen again so I am SOOOO excited! I just got back from a trip to Disney with my mom in Dec (link to report is in my sig!) and now I have to quickly start planning a trip for May to watch my good friend get married at the World!! YAYYYYYYYYY!!!! Who would have thought 2 Disney trips in SUCH short time?! I'm practically dancing like that darn dancing banana! hehehehe

My feeling is it's never to early to start planning for a trip to Disney...so here's what I've got down so far...

When...well the wedding itself is Saturday, May 10th, 2008. I want to get there DEFINITELY by Thursday but I'm trying to plan it so I'm down there on Wednesday morning. Stay until Sunday evening and fly home back to Newark that night.

Who...

Actually, first maybe I should tell you all who's getting married. My good friend Lisa and her fiance are tying the knot!! I've known Lisa since I was 11 or 12?! We've both been Disney nuts our whole entire lives...but I digress... Back then in 1991 or 1992, the Mickey Mouse Club (before Britney, etc) was in full force and we started writing to each other through a huge pen pal clan of MMC fans. She lived in Long Island, and I in Jersey so we were pretty close in terms of distance and our parents one day allowed us to meet up and hang out. The families realized that the other family wasn't so crazy or weird so after a few more get togethers, we started hanging out a lot more. Anyways... both of our families were ridiculous Disney fans and as the years went on and we became better friends, we would bring each other on our family trips to Disney. Some years the two of us got to go to Disney twice since both our families would go at different times of the year! It was awesome!

We both always said we wanted to get married at Disney. We've kind of drifted apart but still kept in touch with each other on a somewhat regular basis. We probably haven't seen each other though in about 2 or 3 years but we're hopefully going to grab dinner together next Friday! Well, low and behold, Lisa is engaged (while I'm still single! haha!) and has followed through and "brainwashed" her fiance to get married down at the World! When I found out the news I was SOOO happy! We've been talking about this since we were 13!!

Here's Lisa and I probably the last time we saw each other in 2003?

I'll try to scan some of our OLD disney trip pics eventually and put them up here! :)

OK...so now that the history lesson is over...here's more of the newer details!

I'm definitely going. That's about all I know. I know my family is invited as well. Sadly I know it will be way too hot for my mom to bring her back in May. She'll be miserable. And when I first brought it up to my father and step mother, they were really excited about it. But now my father called me last week and tells me that they don't know if they're going to come because step-mom is not the BIGGEST Disney fan and they were just there in September for their anniversary. Um...hello?! It's a WEDDING... NOT just a normal trip to Disney. :sad2: But whatever. I'm not going to let that get me down. If anything, I will be going down to the world solo. I do have friends that live in FL (if you kept up with my other trippie, you'll have read about them!) so I was going to see if they wanted to meet up for a few days or I'll just wander around on my own, not a problem! I've always wanted to see what a solo trip is like!

I have NO idea where I'm staying yet. I guess that all depends on who I'm going with. If I'm going solo, I'm pretty sure I'll be back at Pop to save some money. Dad and step-mom will only stay at one of the MK deluxe resorts (:confused3 ) so if they end up coming, I'll be with them. When I talked about hotels with Lisa, she mentioned not worrying for hotel because her parents and her have it covered. I'm not really sure what that means but I'd feel bad if they actually pay for everyone's hotel rooms!! Yikes! If that's the route they're going, then I'll be gladly and thankfully staying wherever they want to stick me!

As for airfare, I just checked JetBlue and there's an 8am flight leaving Wed and a 7pm flight leaving to go home on Sunday for a total of about $280. That's not bad at all for Jersey to Orlando in May! I've never flown JetBlue either and have only heard pretty decent things about them. Can't wait!

Oh...and idiot me FORGOT to upgrade my 6 day park hopper to an annual pass when I was down there in Dec and will totally be paying WAY TOO MUCH for park passes this time around. boooooo!

Ok and now the funny part... while I do not have airline tickets, hotel, or park passes yet... I already started making my dining reservations! :rotfl: Sitting on the couch a few weeks ago I started trying to see how many days were left until the wedding. I almost fell off the couch when I realized I was already at the 170 day mark and I DIDN'T MAKE RESERVATIONS FOR LE CELIER YET! hahaha... I have heard it's gone down in quality since they changed head chefs...but hey.. I figured I'd give it a shot. So i called Disney Dining and was able to snag a reservation for 4 (who KNOWS who'll be joining me!) for 7:20pm (that was the earliest they had available!) for Thursday the 8th. I'm not worrying about missing Illuminations due to the wedding day plans, which I'll tell you guys about in a minute.

I'm sitting here with a calendar in front of me trying to figure out where else to make reservations. I LOVED LOVED LOVED Chefs de France in December and reviews just keep getting better and better so I REALLY want to eat there again. If my father comes though, I know they're going to want to try Teppan Edo. That's all fine..but now we have 3 dinner reservations for Epcot and we're not going to just be at Epcot! :) We're not big fans of any sit down at MK. Dad isnt a huge fan of AK in general and I dont think I want to eat dinner there, even though I really enjoyed Yak and Yeti last time. And I don't think we'll be at either MGM or AK that much for this short trip anyways. For breakfast, I definitely want to eat at Kona for some Tonga toast! And then there's always Ohana too. :( AHHHHH! A 4 day trip is so not long enough for me to eat around Disney! hahaha! I also loved dinner at Kona so that's on the list of possibilities too!

I think I want to just stick to MK and Epcot for the trip and maybe do a few hours at the other 2 parks one day. Most of the day Saturday will be consumed with the actual wedding festivities so that kills that whole day (in a good way!).

Here's the rundown that I think Lisa said is pretty definite for the day of the wedding...

12pm – 1pm: reception at the wedding pavilion
1pm – 2pm: cocktail hour (i'm guessing at the pavilion? i didnt ask yet!)
2pm – 5/6pm: reception
8/8:30: private viewing area for the fireworks at Epcot and dessert (i think dessert is at epcot!)

Whew! I think that's all the info I have so far!! I think in a little bit I'll call Disney dining and see what else is available for everything. Wish me luck! :cool1: :thumbsup2

Oh wow I'm first! Sounds like such a great trip. How lucky of your friend to be getting married down there. Thats my dream too! :bride:

I'm so sad we are going to be missing each other by just a few days. I'm flying down the 14th before my cruise.

Don't worry if you end up solo though. It's really fun and a whole new experience. Looking forward to more of your trippie!!!

Woo Hoo I'm here for the ride!:cool1:

Looking forward to hearing more about your trip planning. And where the heck are you going to being staying?! It will be very cool if Lisa is paying for your hotel stay, it will make up for the price of your park passes.

Happy planning!

Ok, I'm back again! (You're inspiring me to start my own pre-trippie for the surprise trip I'm taking with my 12yr.old in June!)

Anyway, I'm so looking forward to hearing a first-hand account of a wedding at Disney - and your gorgeous pictures.

BTW - you mention not upgrading your park-hoppers to an AP. How do you do that? We were just there in Nov. and now going back in June AND early Nov. of this year. Can we upgrade our parkhoppers from this past Nov.?

Yay! Welcome over here too! :) I can not WAIT to see a wedding at Disney! I'm so excited!!

About upgrading the passes... I was told you can only upgrade your pass up to 14 days after your original pass expires. :( So I think both of us are out of luck. I'm going to attempt to call though and see what they tell me. I doubt it'll work though and I'll have to suck up the extra hundred bucks I COULD have saved! Boooo!

Hey everyone!! So here's a quick and uneventful update! :)

So the day after I posted the first part of this pre-trip, my dad calls and wakes me up and tells me that they decided that they will be heading down to Disney with me. But then we start talking and it's obvious that we both have two totally different ideas as to what our itinerary should be. He wants to fly down Thursday, I want Wednesday. They are only going to go to the wedding ceremony and not the reception. They want to fly home Sunday morning, I want Sunday evening. So we decided to talk more about it later and figure it out. Fast forward to last night at my goddaughters christening (she's one of triplets...SO CUTE! haha!)... I was talking with my dad and he brought up Disney again. We were talking about where to stay and stuff and I told him I still haven't talked to Lisa about what's going on with hotels.

Then we start talking about the trip in general and he asks if anyone else I know is going, etc...because if I'm going to be with other people the whole time, maybe they won't go. I have a feeling there's a little 'birdie' chirping in his ear a lot about this trip, which is fine...but make up your minds! haha!

I reasured him that they can do whatever they want. I'm a big girl... I can take care of myself and I can go all by myself to Disney World. Ha...I pointed out that when I was 12, my parents would allow Lisa (the bride to be) and I to wander the World by ourselves and meet them for dinner. We can navigate the parks blindfolded! If they want to come, they can come... if they don't? They don't have to. I pointed out again that I'm going down Wednesday regardless. I want to make the most out of my trip and Saturday is already shot in terms of seeing the parks due to the wedding.

I also told him that I started making dining reservations.. Here's what I have so far..

Wed: dinner at Chefs de France (SOOOO good last time!)
Thurs: dinner at Le Celier
Fri: dinner at Teppan Edo
Sat: breakfast at Kona
Sun: breakfast at Ohana

all the reservations are for 4 people in case they decide to come and then I can drag a friend with me. When I'm done writing this report, I want to lurk around the rest of the DisBoards and see what I can find about dining solo. I know in a million podcasts, I've heard of places that have a bar that solo diners can eat at without taking up a table. Sadly though, I don't remember ANY of them since I wasn't really trying to plan a solo trip! haha! Does anyone know of any? :)

Well that's it for now... pretty uneventful! Hopefully I'll be able to talk to Lisa soon and figure more things out! And hopefully dad and step-mom will make up their darn minds! Oh well...off to learn about solo traveling :)

Hopefully your dad and step mom will decide soon. It's good that they know that you are planning no matter if they go or not.

About the solo dining I don't know about the no reservations bar technique. But I do know that in my past 3 solo trips I've always had awesome service and great table locations. The servers always take the time to talk to me and they have been more than pleasant. Like when I went to Chefs de France in July my server was telling me all about France and how he like it over here. It really was fun. Not to mention nice eye candy :rotfl:.

I'm also trying Kona and Le cellier too. I've heard soooo many great things about them.

I wish I remembered when our waiter, Sebastian, from Chefs de France was heading back to France! :) Talk about some eye candy! hahaha! Thanks for the advice... I'm sure I wont have a problem solo dining! :)

Ugh! Don't ya hate having to involve others in your Disney planning? Stick to your guns - you've got a great attitude!:thumbsup2

Your ADRs look great - was surprised to see you could get LeCellier - love that place! I've never been to Chefs de France, but I've gotten an ADR in June for my trip with my daughter. I'm really looking forward to it!

01-29-2008, 09:26 AM
OK... so yet ANOTHER indecisive update!! Just talked to dad and they're still good to go down for a few days. Now I just have to really sit down and think on what I want to do!

I'm coming to the realization that this trip isn't going to be 100% what I dreamed about in terms of what I want to do! lol If any of you remember my first pre-trip...I mentioned that my dad and I are a little too alike in terms of wanting to rule the planning, etc. Plus we have to throw in my not-so-Disney-fan of a step mom into the mix! haha! When I went with my mom, she was totally laid back and let me plan every little detail, so it was great! I was also getting all excited with the possibility that this might be a solo trip for me. Oh well...guess not!

So we had a big discussion about me wanting to stay later on Sunday. I explained that I'm pretty much missing a whole day already at the parks on Saturday due to the wedding so I kinda wanted to stay late on Sunday so I could at least get a few hours at the parks. They are TOTALLY against that, at least for them, and want to take a 12:30pm flight home, which means your whole day is shot already!! Even breakfast at Ohana will either have to be moved earlier than 8am or totally wiped off the itinerary. Dad DID mention maybe going down on Tuesday then but I sadly had to decline. :( I have 3 weddings this year, plus a bachelorette party in Vegas and I'm REALLLY tight on vacation days as it is! So sadly, we can't go down a day earlier! Boo! Yay for dad for suggesting it though! haha! :woohoo:

Dad said I can do whatever I want but they're going home early and then it's a hassle trying to get a car service or someone to pick me up from the airport later on at night. If I went with them, I'd have no hassle in getting home. Which is true.

I told him all of the dining reservations I had made and he was pretty happy with it. He kept saying that they've been to Chefs de France and it was just ok but then I reminded him that they went YEARS ago and it is OH SO MUCH BETTER! haha! He's excited about Le Cellier so hopefully it lives up to its hype! He did point out that we're eating at Epcot every night we're down there but hey...that's what happens when we don't really care for the restaurants at the MK! I also mentioned Yak and Yeti but again, we're not sure we're even going to make it to AK on this trip and it's not worth going to AK JUST to eat there. We both agreed that we aren't going to go to Hollywood Studios unless we run out of things to do at MK or Epcot..which....won't happen.. I'd rather go to AK instead cause step-mom hasn't been there yet.

So I think I'm going to cave and not spend the full day on Sunday down at Disney, and just head home with dad and step-mom. I keep telling myself I WAS only there in December! And i'm there for a WEDDING! But it's so hard! When you're there you want to do EVERYTHING! I guess as long as I see Captain Jack... OH WAIT!!! Lightbulb just went off in my head...

On AllEars there's an announcement that Disney was thinking of extending the Pirates and Princess Party into May or so. I did notice that the MK closes at 7pm on Friday...does anyone know if it's due to a PPP?! If it is... I might just have to drag Sarah or someone else with me again (or go solo...lol) to run around the MK and get my fix! :rotfl: And I can get my picture with Jack!!! WOOOHOOOOO!!! hahahaha :lovestruc

OK enough babbling... I think I'm just talking to myself trying to figure out what I want to do! And the more I write, the more I think I'm ok with following dads plan! :)

Hey everyone! Quick update! :)

I never got to go to dinner with my friend Lisa (the bride!) because it was sleeting and doing icky stuff outside and neither of us wanted to trek out to NYC in that weather. I don't mind driving in the city...but everyone else turns into an idiot and forgets how to drive in bad weather! :(

So we DID book our plane tickets!! Dad and I compromised as to the time we'd leave Disney on Sunday. We're taking an 8:30am flight out of Newark on Wednesday and then on Sunday our flight is at 4:15 I think out of MCO. That gives us some time to go to breakfast and enjoy Disney just a little longer without having to rush around.

That's all the news I have for now! I'm still debating if we should eat at Teppan Edo on Friday. When my mom and I ate there it was decent.... but I've been hearing more and more bad things about it lately! :( Booooo!!!!

I just caught up on your most recent planning. It's great that you are able to get a later flight out so you can enjoy your departure day a little more. And yea for you that you can plan in the P&PP!:cool1: That's one party I still have not attended, but maybe next time.

Hope your planning continues to go smoothly, any word from Lisa about lodging yet?

Hey everyone! I know I've been gone for over a month but work has been crazy!! I have to catch up on everyones reports and stuff. :)

So not TOOOO much news to report...I don't think..lets see...

I think I mentioned that we made all of our dinner reservations. I think we're only going to do the two main parks while we're there (MK and Epcot). We're not HUGE fans of MGM (hollywood studios? lol) so we're not missing much. And my dad for some reason isn't a huge fan of AK, although I like it a lot.

So our reservations are at Chefs de France, Le Cellier, and Teppan Edo for dinner. Yeah..I know they're all at Epcot but... we really don't enjoy the sit downs at MK. We also have breakfasts at Kona and Ohana. Yayyy! Tonga toast and REALLLLL coffee!

I most likely won't be joining my dad and step mom for dinner at Teppan Edo though. Why, you ask? Because I'm going to go to the Pirate & Princess party with my friend Sarah! :) She told me today she can most likely make it. I think even if she can't make it though, I'm going to go to the party solo. Just to get a pic with Jack. That in itself MIGHT be worth the $45!

We also agreed to get dressed up for the P&PP. And seriously?! Why can't I find any decent pirate costumes for women? Everything I find I doubt would be allowed into the parks. :rotfl: The sexy costumes are cute but umm... I wouldn't want to have parents explain to their children why there are naked pirate wenches running around Disney! I think I've narrowed the costumes down to two or three. I'll post them on here another day so you guys can vote which one I should attempt to get. They're the longest ones I could find that wouldn't make me overheat in May weather! :rotfl2:

Hmm...what else... OH! So the whole hotel thing fell through. Not sure if I misunderstood Lisa or things changed, but hotel isn't taken care of! haha! I talked to my dad, since they're staying at the Poly and he offered to let me stay in their room with them. Usually when we go away, we get separate rooms but I can't justify paying $1200 - $1500 for a room by myself at the Poly, or stay at Pop or another value alone would be a pain getting around and meeting them. So thanks dad for letting me stay with you!

And I think that's it for now! Off to go catch up on some trippies! :)

ohhh it's getting so close!!! :) I hear the trick is to get on line for the 7pm opening of the meet at like 6:15-ish. You won't really miss much since the party doesn't start until 7 and then you're over and done with your pic with Jack!

OK, so I finally bought my ticket today for the Pirate & Princess Party. Just talked to Sarah and she said she'll probably buy hers today or tomorrow too.

Can I tell you HOW MAD I AM FOR NOT BUYING A STUPID ANNUAL PASS ON MY LAST TRIP!?!? ugh! I'm just picturing all the discounts I COULD be getting right now. :(

OK, so I'm going to have to post small pictures on here b/c the enlarged pics of all the costumes are HUGE!

I think this one might be too short... BUT... it actually covers my top half..haha

Again...this one might be short... but it comes with the spiffy hat.. :rotfl:

http://www.costumekingdom.com/images/PRODUCT/medium/9496.jpg

this one won't be so 'sexy' without the boots... and there's no way i'm running around MK in heels... so this is a possibility... :)

http://www.costumekingdom.com/images/PRODUCT/medium/6689.jpg

yet another short one... ugh!

http://www.piratesstore.com/images/store/costumes_images/rc/lg-888478xl%5B1%5D.jpg

and last but not least..for now..

http://static.anytimecostumes.com/images/products/large/007783283.jpg

I need to dig around some more. They had a CUTE pants one...but it was LONG sleeves, LONG pants, and heavy velvet... and I don't see myself running around in the Florida weather with that whole getup on!

Obviously I won't be wearing the sexy boots... I have a pair of flat black shoes I'll wear... or I'll be the first pirate wench in flip flops. :)

Blah...any thoughts? :confused3

Oh my - someone looking to "score" with Captain Jack? pirate:

I'm sure any of those costumes will look less provacative without fishnets and high heels - ;) - but will they be comfortable enough to wear all night? That's what my fear would be - costume being too restricting or too hot!

I wore a pirate costume about 4 years ago to MNSSHP - was a one-piece made to look like a 2 piece: black off the shoulder top and bold black & white stripe flowy skirt. I wore black flipflops and was sooo comfortable!

So that being said - I like #3 (looks more comfortable) or #4 (doesn't look like you'd be too hot wearing it & I mean "hot" in a bad way!)

hahaha! actually right after I posted all the pics I googled again and found another 'normal' looking costume with a long skirt and off the shoulder just like you described. I believe it was a one piece too. I liked it a lot and it was cheap! :) I'll try to find the pic again (i saved it on my work laptop) and I'll post it here.

I just thought some of them were entertaining. I totally should have posted some of the other ones that they had just for a good laugh! :rotfl: Apparently there was no such thing as a frumpy covered up pirate wench! did you know Playboy has their own line of halloween costumes? yup...and a pirate wench is one of the options.. haha

And if all else fails, I'm going to take Hedy's suggestion and make one myself!

Hey everyone!!! :)

OMG I can't believe the trip is coming up so soon! I've been going crazy trying to plan my OTHER friends bridal shower (way too many friends getting married this year!) so now that it's over, I finally have time to start getting REALLY excited and finishing up some last minute details!!

We had Lisa's bridal shower a few weeks ago and it was really nice! Everything was Cinderella/Disney themed, so cute! The cake had a castle topper, we played fun 'match the disney couple' games, got glass slippers as favors, etc. I was the official photographer but I used Lisa's camera and she still hasn't sent me the pics! If she does, I'll post some pics on here.

Sarah and I bought our costumes for the Pirate party! Sarah bought one first because she had another pirate bday party to go to (not Disney related). When i saw the costume, it was just like another one that I had seen, just in a different color. We ended up buying the same costumes, hers in red, mine in black. To make them more Disney-friendly, we're going to wear black leggings under the cosume and most likely sneakers. :D Maybe flip flops. haha! I'm just worried about how HOT it's going to be! I'm from the north east and need time to get used to the weather. Sarah's already used to this! :)

ok...just wanted to say hi to everyone. I'll try to add more when I have some free time at work!

disneygirlinnj

Got the costume!!! :) And it looks great! It's made very well, which kinda surprised me.

After trying on the costume, I'm thinking black leggings are a must, or at least black shorts. I found thin capri leggings online at Macy's, so I'm going to run there after work today and see if I can try them on. I'm also going to cross my fingers that it's a little cooler at night in the beginning of May, and also that it doesn't rain! I've been checking and it's been about 70 degrees every night there. Hopefully it can stay like that for another 2 and a half weeks? :rotfl:

I just talked to Lisa on the phone, and she's coming to the P&PP too! It's going to be her, her fiance, and her parents. Should be fun and I get to spend more time with them. I also think i'm going to give someone in her fam the extra dining reservations we have too. We have a lunch at Le Cellier but I realized we're going to be at the MK that day, and also a dinner at Tony's but we're going to Epcot that day. Her sisters husband has never been to Disney before (:scared1: ) so maybe they'll want to take the ressies from us.

16 more days!!! :cool1:  :woohoo: :yay: :hippie: :cheer2: pirate:

Ohhh!!! Exactly two weeks from now I'll be in DISNEY!!!! :cool1: 14 days! yayyy!

I keep bugging Lisa to send me or post her pictures from the shower. Hopefully she does it before I have to head down to the wedding! :(

This is the costume that Sarah and I both have. Again..her's is red and mine is this black one. It's really nice in person and very well made. Can't wait to try it with the whole ensemble. I'm going to wear a pair of Nine West black ballet flats with the costume. I wear these to work every day and they're the most comfy things EVER! Also going to wear a thin pair of black leggings underneath. They're not too hot and look good with the rest of the outfit..

http://static.anytimecostumes.com/images/products/large/007783283.jpg

Sadly I don't think Lisa and her fam are going to dress up! It's short notice that they bought the party tix and they've all been running around with last minute wedding details. They might not be able to stay until close either since they have to wake up early for the wedding and the bride can't see the groom the day of! :) So I think Lisa's parents are forcing them to leave before the clock strikes midnight. Still going to be a great time!

HAHA... I hate to say it but the MAIN reason I'm paying an extra $45 to go to the P&PP is JUST for a picture with Captain Jack! :) Heck... we'll even go back a few times if we have time! What's the chance that the Jack I saw during the Pirate Tutorial in Dec is the one taking pics? Probably not, but I'll cross my fingers! We're going to be in the MK that day already, so we'll pick up a schedule as soon as we can to see then the meet n' greet starts. Then we'll get changed probably around 5-ish or so (or maybe after dinner so we dont spill anything!) and then head to the get in line to meet Jack ASAP probably 30 mins before the official picture time. That way the costumes (and us) will look fresh...and not gross and sweaty if it's 900 degrees out that day!pirate:

oh! and yup! the leggings are capris :) I laugh that out of ALLL the things I should be worrying about for this trip... I'm worrying about a stupid pirate costume! I don't even have a dress for the wedding yet! EEK! hahahahahaha!

Small update! :)

So apparently my dad and step mom need to sit down and eat ALL day!:confused3 I don't mind though, I keep telling myself this WILL be a relaxing facation! :rotfl:

We ended up making lots more dining reservations today and.... WE GOT EVERY SINGLE ONE THAT WE ASKED FOR!!! :cool1: Which leads me to believe that... cross my fingers.... the parks might not be TOO crowded. REALLY?! I know it's a slower time. But I think when I went in Dec it was supposed to be even slower than now and we had a problem getting reservations everywhere!

So here's what we have (I have to remember from memory..the list is at work)

Wed:
- dinner at Chefs de France
Thurs:
- breakfast Kona
- lunch either Coral Reef or Tokyo Dining (I forget which was final choice)
- dinner at Le Cellier
Fri:
- breakfast at Grand Floridian Cafe
- lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern
- dinner for dad and step mom at Citricos (I'll be at the P&PP!)
Saturday:
- breakfast Kona
- lunch for dad at either tony's or LTT (I'll be at the wedding)
- dinner for dad at Narcooses (I'll be at wedding)
Sunday:
- breakfast at Ohana

Also, since it's going to be mothers day on sunday, I'm going to call the Disney florist or somewhere else (going to research right now!) and on Wednesday when we get there, have flowers either waiting for my step mom when we get there or have them delivered to the room. I didnt want them sent on Sunday b/c we're leaving and she can't take them on the plane! :( At least now she can enjoy them for a few hours when we're in the hotel room!

OK.... time to go research some flowers!!! :flower3:

So I did some research with the flowers for my step mom for mothers day, and the Disney Florist won! They're called 'Sprinkle Her with a Little Pixie Dust' :)

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2201/2438503325_f60c3d1ec6.jpg

So they'll be delivered on the 7th, the day we check in. Hopefully they'll be waiting for us when we get back to the room after dinner! :)
The flowers are awesome...they remind of Wishes grand finale fireworks at MK....my wife would love them for mothers day...I'll have to check out FTD to see if they have something similar...thanks for the picture:thumbsup2

You guys have some really great ressies picked out. Kona Cafe is one I keep wanting to get to and always end up canceling for some reason or other. Next time will be get there for sure!

I think your step mom is going to love those flowers, they are beautiful! What a bummer that she can't bring them home.:sad1:

And I have to say, I'm jealous that you are all going back to WDW soon. But I hope everyone has an awesome time! I'll get back there again one of these days......

You're right! That IS what they look like! Great eye! If FTD doesn't have anything similar, I wonder if you can bring a picture of them to a local florist and see if they can replicate it? :thumbsup2

Definitely get to Kona! I LOVE LOVE LOVED it for dinner the last time we went. I haven't eaten breakfast there in a few years though so I can't wait! AND... I'm going to try Tonga toast for the FIRST TIME EVER! :scared1: I can't believe I've never had it before!

Yeah..I wish my step mom could take the pics home. :( But now I'm wondering...are flowers not allowed on domestic flights? They might be, as long as she takes them out of the water? We only have a 2.5 hour flight. They will be a pain to lug around though. Oh well.

OK, so like I said above, I have to be ready AND packed and EVERYTHING by TONIGHT!!! Yes... I started to freak out already last night. I couldn't do ANYTHING this past weekend because I had to go to Atlantic City for my other friends bachelorette party. I started to take my clothes out and put them in piles on my dresser. My suitcase is sitting in my room waiting to be filled as well.

So today I have to run to the mall quickly (nothing trip related...I don't think..lol), then run to the gym (sadly can't skip today, I have an appointment with a trainer that I can't cancel), run home and do laundry and eat something, AND pack! Yikes! I probably could have finished MOST of the packing last night if I didnt have to do laundry so bad! Like seriously... I have NOTHING clean since I've been running around every weekend and the weekends are usually when I do my laundry. I think I have ONE pair of clean socks left in my drawer...and they probably don't even match. :confused3

I think I'm all set with clothes, and they're all clean for the most part. Don't need to go too crazy since we're not going for TOO long. I have my dress for the wedding as well as my pirate costume hanging up in my room so I don't accidentally forget them in my closet when I run out of the house tomorrow. :rotfl2: I also think everything COULD fit into my smaller carry-on sized luggage but I'm going to put everything in the big suitcase. Don't want to squish everything and either way, I can't carry on the smaller suitcase. I have too many liquids!

Then tomorrow during lunch at work I have to run and get my nails done. I know it's not a necessity but my toes are finally going to be in flip flops on a regular basis! :scared1: hehehehe

After work, I have to head right to my dads house because God forbid he eats dinner late! :rotfl: He gets cranky when he's hungry! So I'm heading right to his house so we can have dinner or go out to dinner and then stay at his house and relax for the night.

Wednesday morning we're heading to the airport bright and early. And we'll be on our way!!!

I just talked to Lisa's (the bride) mom on the phone and she invited me to the Hoop De Hoo review (or however you spell it!). Sadly I can't make it though because they're going Sunday night and I'll already be home! :( Boooooo!

So yes... I'm freaking out. :scared1: I'm trying to run everything through my head trying to figure out what I'm missing. My sunglasses I left in my friends car so I have to track her down today as well to get them back!

Hmm....I think that's all the venting and rambling I can do right now :rotfl2:

I still can't believe it's SO CLOSE!!! :woohoo: :yay:

Thanks guys!! So I'm finally DONE packing! At least what everything that I dont need tomorrow is packed. Everything except my dress for the wedding and my pirate costume. Don't want to get those wrinkled! :)

It's hard to tell..but here's my unpacked junk!

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3203/2470271574_afa252c27e.jpg

You can see the pirate costume and dress hanging on the closet in the background, my camera in the backpack on the right...the totally unopened luggage :rotfl: and then all my clothes.

I feel like I did pretty good so far in terms of the amount of clothes! I also think it helps that its going to be 90 degrees down there so my clothes arent as thick as they normally would be! :scared1:

Ok...just wanted to say hi to everyone and I'M DONE PACKING! hahahaha!

sweet dreams everyone... I'll be back tomorrow during work and I'll try to sign on at my dads house when I get there tomorrow night! pirate:

So I'm about to go to bed wayyyy early for me. It's 10:30pm and I'm at my dads house right now using his horrible computer that I hate! Ugh!

But I'm all packed and showered... and ready for my 4am wake up call from crazy dad! I'll be sure to try to sign on here as much as possible at night! My dad did say he must have internet when he's down there for work so I'll try to log on and say hi.

At dinner today we went over some of the dining reservations and realize we both booked some ressies so we're going to have to cancel some tomorrow waiting to board our plane. :) Getting rid of Coral Reef in favor of Tokyo Dining...and a few others.

AND.. my dad said that he might be interested in going to the pirate/princess party with Sarah and I! hahahaha...I told him he must wear some sort of costume, even if its an eye patch and he looked at me like i'm crazy. pirate:

we still have until friday to convince him :) He was all interested about what exactly it was. I swear when I talk to him when he's at work he's in his own little world concentrating on work too much. I thought I had told him all this before! I have to remember to only tell him important things face to face. :confused3

OK... so Tuesday night after work, I head to my dad's house so we'll be ready for our bright and early wake up call Wednesday morning. After my dad got home from work, we headed for a quick bite to eat at Houlihan's and then headed back to his house to go over menus for some of the dining reservations we made. Dad a-ok'd all the restaurants I picked (you'd think he would have looked at the menus sooner? haha!) so we were good to go. DDad (dad) and DSM (stepmom) went to bed while I checked the DISboards and said ttfn to all of you guys! Oh, that night for some reason my throat started to feel funny and I was getting paranoid that I was getting sick! DDad gave me some medicine that's supposed to help you NOT get sick so I crossed my fingers and prayed that it worked!

Fast forward to 4am Wednesday morning. I get woken up by my dad walking down the hallway trying to get all of his stuff ready. I quickly get washed up and dressed and sit around while the other two shuffle around. Oh..and my throat STILL hurt! BOO! Other than that I felt fine though so I kept on crossing those fingers!

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2079/2475274212_4f2d5f3bcd.jpg

We drove to the airport and quickly went through security without any problems. Grabbed a quick bite at my favorite place at the airport... Au Bon Pain and then headed to the gate to board. Unlike my trip to Disney last time... there was NO SNOW! yayyyyyy!

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2171/2473583758_5f05d86299.jpg

The flight was pretty uneventful...which means I slept for 1.5 out of the 2 hour flight. Glad I can sleep anywhere! We landed and quickly found our driver and then headed to baggage claim. (Dad had gotten a car service through Disney to bring us to the Poly. Apparently he's anti Magical Express...don't get it!). When we got outside the driver told us to wait by the curb while he pulled the car up. And what did he pull up in?!

A stretch limo!! SOOO not what my dad ordered but hey... it was the same price I guess and they ran out of the normal town cars... NOT COMPLAINING! haha!

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2033/2475283802_1631915b45.jpg

So we enjoyed the ride and I crawled to the front of the car to take the standard 'welcome to disney' photo..

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2101/2474471505_06eb7560fe.jpg

thats when I know we're finally HERE!!!!!!! yayyyy (insert dancing banana here please...lol)

We finally got to the Polynesian and there wasn't a wait at the front desk so we quickly found out our room wasn't ready yet. Dad asked to be close to the Great Ceremonial House and they told us that there was a room they were currently cleaning in Rarotonga. We got our Keys to the World cards and then decided to head upstairs to Kona for lunch. We got l'eid (hehehe) and then headed outside to drop our bags off. After a quick picture outside with the waterfall...we headed upstairs to Kona!

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3228/2475311898_d212a5cec4.jpg

We weren't STARVING but we knew we had to have some food to hold us over until dinner at Chefs de France. DSM ordered the beef teriyaki salad, DDad ordered the burger, and I had the bbq'd pork lettuce wraps.

Sadly this trippie doesn't have nearly as many food pics as I would like! I honestly kept forgetting or didn't want to use flash in some restaurants!

So my bbq lettuce wraps were pretty tasty!! They were a tad salty but still really good! Dad liked his burger a lot and DSM really liked her salad too

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3117/2477694282_2aef993cb0.jpg

We quickly ate and wanted to get started on Epcot. While DDad and DSM were freshening up by O'hana, I walked around and took some pics by O'hanas.

When they came back, we jumped on the monorail and in a few minutes, were heading into Epcot! So, my one request to DDad and DSM was that we use Photopass as much as possible. They were A-OK with that so we grabbed the first photographer that we saw in front of spaceship earth.

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2033/2477714010_21c9dd3868.jpg

Oh, since it was the Flower and Garden festival at Epcot, there were gorgeous flowers EVERYWHERE! Topiaries around every corner too. So get ready to see some cool flower artwork!

I totally forgot at the moment that Spaceship Earth had been redone so we skipped it for now and headed over to grab fastpasses for Soarin. While we waited for our fastpass time to come up, we headed over to The Seas with Nemo so we can ride in our little clam-mobile. I finally figured out how to take a picture of the screens! YAY!

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2030/2477721022_697626b317.jpg

Chances are I'll never get as clear a picture though. I think the ride had stopped momentarily..haha!

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2041/2477723866_57c77ae6c7.jpg

When I had come in December, I had forgotten to take my mom upstairs to see the rest of the aquarium so we headed up there to see what I had missed. Sad to say it wasn't much and it's in great need of a little refurb! We did get to see the cute manatees though and learned that they eat about 100 heads of lettuce a day! Yikes!

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2160/2476913485_13f2baac32.jpg

When we got off the ride it dawned on me that Spaceship Earth was somewhat new so I dragged the fam over there to see it (we honestly probably haven't been on it in over 10 years just b/c we think it's one of the dullest things EVER!). Sad to say the main part of the ride is still just as dull for us, but the cool little interactive movie towards the end of the ride was hilarious! I saw them take our photo but didn't know what they were going to do with it! I was in the front seat with DSM so we had fun picking how we wanted to live in the future.

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2126/2477755052_45d52669cc.jpg

Our Soarin fastpass still had time to go so we quickly cut through Innoventions on our way through to Journey Into Imagaination. I saw the segway lessons were getting ready for another round but we didn't really want to wait that long for them to start. As we got to Journey Into Imagination we saw that Honey I Shrunk the Audience was about to start in a few mins so we ventured over there quickly to watch the show. I still think it's cute! I just make sure to cover the vent when the dog sneezes..hehe! I hate getting misted on!

After the 3-D movie we headed over and walked immediately onto Journey Into Imagination. I TOTALLY miss the original! Bring Dreamfinder back! booo! It was still cute to see Figment though!

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2064/2476950227_7ec7a8909d.jpg

We were ALMOST at our fastpass time for Soarin so we headed over to the Land. On the way we grabbed strawberry fruit bars...yummy! I tried the sugar free one just for the heck of it and it really wasn't that bad! Not as sweet as the normal ones but still hit the spot.

Once in the land, we STILL had about 10 minutes or so for Soarin so we jumped on the boat ride to tour the veggies. I still get a kick out of the pumpkins earning their ears..haha!

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3281/2477756996_4cef7d849d.jpg

And when we got off the ride it was FINALLY time for Soarin! Yayyyy! Now I had NEVER understood the hoopla with Soarin. Yeah it was cool, but it never did it for me. Someone then mentioned that to really enjoy it, you have to sit in the front row so that you didn't have feet hanging above you. We finally asked for the very front...and they were right! It was MUCH better without feet hanging above you. Still not my FAVE ride...but much cooler!

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3111/2483194769_c5b6916a68.jpg

After Soarin we started making our way towards the countries. There was a little Peter Pan topiary garden so we wandered through there for a bit and snapped some photos..

Our first stop was Canada to watch the 360 film. It's one of the ones we actually like now. I'm not usually a fan of Martin Short but he's pretty good in the movie.

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2398/2483211047_c9e20ff8b8.jpg

We then decided to head right to France and see if we can check into Chefs de France a little early for our reservation. We didn't have a problem at all and were seated within 10 minutes max. Sadly I took NO photos of the meal! It might have been because I was too mesmerized with all the waiters?! Seriously, is it a requirement to be extremely attractive to be a waiter at Chefs de France? haha! Even my DSM commented a few times about the eye candy! DDad was a little upset that the waitresses weren't up to par with the waiters. haha! Oh, and if any of you see a waiter there that looks just like Sylar from Heroes... tell him I said hi!!! hahaha! I didn't get a chance to get his name sadly.

OK OK...I guess I should talk about the meal, right? DSM decided to order the French menu... Onion Soup, Roasted Chicken, and Creme Brulee. Dad ordered the Onion Soup and the filet mignon and subbed the au gratin potatoes with french fries (I could get the real names they used on the menu but I wouldn't be able to pronounce them anyways!). I ordered the Tomato and Goat Cheese Tart, plus the short ribs and subbed the pasta with the au gratin potatoes.

We all had wine (grr...can't remember which ones either!) and they were all very tasty. The onion soups came out perfect and we couldn't get enough of them. I also LOVED my goat cheese/tomato tart. I had it last time I was there so I knew it would be good. Definitely didn't disappoint! I was worried I wouldn't have room for my entree but when it came out, I found some extra space. The short ribs were very good for the 2nd time in a row, which made me happy. The au gratin potatoes were a little too creamy and not cheesy enough for me but still decent. There was too much food anyways so I was kind of glad they weren't AMAZING so I didnt stuff my self. DSM really enjoyed her chicken...the winner on her plate was the grilled tomatoes though! And DDad said his was just ok. He ordered his filet medium but it came out more on the well side. I told him to ask for a new one but he wasn't that hungry anymore and just picked at the middle of the filet where it was still somewhat pink.

So by the time we finished with our entrees, there was NOOO room for dessert, even though DSM's order came with creme brulee. Now that I think of it, we should have told the waitress to give the creme brulee to another table since we already paid for it, but oh well. Instead we asked for the bill and decided to call it an early night. I got one last glimpse of my favorite waiter (hehehe) and we headed out back into the park.

Since we had been up at 4am, we were exhausted and full so we took our time strolling to the exit. Snapped a few pics along the way!

I figured out you can't use flash. :( I also have a camera where you can manually change the f-stop and the lens I used goes down to f/1.8. High ISO too...I think it was ISO 1600 with the f/1.8 helps take the pic quickly so there's no blur either. (I had a bunch of pics earlier in the ride that were SOOOO blurry. I think I caught these two right on time as the ride either slowed down or stopped completely)

Hi what kind of cammera did you get? price?

I have a Canon Rebel xti, with a few lenses. The Rebel itself was about $450. I then have a Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 lens that was also about $400-$450. The lens I used to get the Nemo shot was a Canon 50mm f/1.8 lens that was $80. It's a great lens and I would use it more but you can't zoom at all with it so it's hard to use when you take lots of different pictures. It's great for indoors though.

Canons are awesome cameras ! That's about all I buy. I run my own photography business and when I first started out learning the DSLR I had cameras from the Rebel line ! :worship:

And the 50mm 1.8 lens rocks ! It is a perfect lens to learn how aperature works.

I don't take any of my large cameras to Disney though - I can't imagine toting it around all day !! I want something to whip out of my purse and take the shot :rotfl: Call me lazy !

OK Seriously... I decided not to tell you guys I'm back and writing this because every time I do, something gets messed up and I can't finish!

So ages ago I finished up my day 1 (whew!) sooo without further ado...I present to you... DAY 2!!! (at this rate i'll be done in 5 years!)

I woke up a little early and only my dad was up at the time getting ready. I STILL felt like poop and my throat was hurting but nothing I couldn't over come. Watched the Today show as we got ready (seriously..that's what I totally remember growing up. Laying in bed on vacation in the morning and listening to Matt Lauer...haha. Things obviously haven't changed!) and then headed out the door to the Grand Ceremonial House for some breakfast at Kona.

Why do they ask for reservations at Kona in the morning? Seriously? There were 2 tables seated when we got there. MAYBE three! So we grabbed our seats and DSM and I immediately ordered a pot of the Kona french press coffee. SOOOO GOOD! I wish I could drink it every day in the parks. Now I have NEVER had Tonga toast (don't yell at me!) but I do love french toast and bananas...and cinnamon..and sugar. And if you fry anything, it tastes ten times better. I wasn't STARVING but I HAD to try it. I wasn't sure if we were going to eat breakfast at Kona again that week.

Holy cow it was GOOD! The bananas scalded the roof of my mouth at first (who would have thought that bananas inside french toast would be SO freakin hot?!) but it was completely worth it! Here it is...with the french press in the background..

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3275/2483342421_1f9f43bc54.jpg

I'm pretty sure dad and DSM both had eggs and toast or something to that effect. I tried to push for someone to get the macadamia pancakes since I wanted to try them too but no such luck! hmph!

After Kona, we hopped right onto a monorail to get to the TTC. yes, we're lazy. I know we can walk there from the Poly. DSM also doesn't have the greatest back though so we didn't want to push it and walk everywhere. Not that I was complaining... it was getting hot already and it was only like 9:30am!

From the monorail...

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3036/2483343171_c7a77e3a33.jpg

We got into Epcot and had our first 'discussion' about what to first. Obviously I wanted to do Mission:Space. So did DDad. DSM on the other hand gets a little queasy and figured going on first thing on a full stomach MIGHT not be the smartest thing to do. She insisted we still go on and she'll hang around. There was only a 5 minute wait for the orange line so I finally dragged dad from his Cinderella (yes...they call each other Cinderella and Prince Charming.. a very long and cheesy story...hahaha) and we quickly jumped on line. There was NO WAIT. Seriously. NONE. Not even 5 minutes I think. I was commander, dad was engineer. I can't get enough of this ride!

After the ride was over, we found DSM and I headed over to test track for some fast passes while the other two in the gang wandered to get water and head over to the Universe of Energy. Testtrack is one ride that we like but don't LOVE so fastpass is the only way to go. As I was heading back to the Ellen ride (or nickname for it..lol), I saw the Jamitors finishing up one of their sets so I quickly looked over and saw the fam still buying water so I stopped to enjoy some tunes.

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2245/2483349159_917faa4da3.jpg

Up next? Universe of Energy! I will admit, I do actually really like this ride. I remember the smell from when I was a little kid and it brings back so many memories!! I love the addition of Ellen and Bill Nye the Science Guy. I used to watch Bill Nye when he did guest appearances on the Mickey Mouse Club back in the day.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3195/2484165468_baac51490a.jpg

After the ride was over, DSM was ready to ride Mission: Space so we headed back down that way and again... no wait for the orange line!

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2172/2484172710_53d990b126.jpg

I'm pretty sure this is where we might have possibly walked through the butterfly garden on the way to the countries. Didn't really get great photos of the butterflies since there was way too many people pushing around so I just snapped a few pics of topiaries and flowers and kept on walking!

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2308/2484175024_38af80e878.jpg

Since DDad and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Voices of Liberty, we hopped on a boat and hurried across the lake to get to the American Pavilion for the next showing.

On the way in the Fife & Drum Corps was just finishing up

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2271/2484177624_df29183dd6.jpg

When I was at Disney in December, the Voices of Liberty was all decked out in the Christmas best and sang carols so it was nice to hear all the patriotic songs again. There was a couple celebrating their anniversary from Indiana (I think? it began with an I!) so the Voices sang a song about their sate. Very cute!

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2314/2484483527_891fa03df6.jpg

We then got hungry and headed towards Italy. We haven't eaten at Tutto Italia and wanted to try it even though it's changing again (so I hear?). I've heard mixed reviews, and especially being from one of the most Italian areas in the country, we were iffy. But omg! This place was GOOD! I don't understand what people don't like about it? Sadly I didn't take ANY pictures while we were eating. Sarah had called and said her and Holly were in the park and they were going to grab some food and then meet us after we finished eating. I also didn't feel so hot so I was in no mood to do anything really except relax. I didn't want anything heavy so I ordered the Prosciutto di Parma with melon and it was one of the best prosciutto and melon I've ever had (except maybe for one place back home and one place in Sicily!). Everything was perfect! Dad had another awesome meal. Sadly I don't see it on the menu on allears but it's also an older menu posted. It was like little pasta purses filled with cheese with a great light tomato sauce. Bigger than tortellini but thinner pasta. It was so good that he almost ordered two portions of it since me and DSM kept eating all of it! DSM I think had a salad but that wasn't as memorable as the other two things!

No dessert or cappuccino or espresso for any of us (I MUST have been feeling ill... I never pass up cappuccino or good italian desserts!) and we called Sarah to meet up with us. We ran into each other at the Lady and the Tramp topiary... Took pictures of us using photopass so I'll post those at the end of the trippie like last time!

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2139/2485359456_84193c13b4.jpg

We also made friends with this guy..

and a few Lion King buddies..

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2257/2485377354_291337157d.jpg

DDad and DSM stopped at a kiosk I think to buy the water squirter fans and Sarah, Holly, and I went picture crazy with all the little nicknaks you can buy..

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2358/2485378662_94eea0e88f.jpg

As we passed by Germany, I had a craving for some Franziskaner beer that they have. I fell in love with it when I was in Munich and everywhere they sell it, I must buy some. Sarah and I eat grabbed a cup of beer and then we all headed on our way towards China.

The parents headed into the waiting area while we spotted Mushu outside with a photopass photographer. We quickly ran over there since no one saw him standing there and grabbed a few pictures. Again..all with photopass so I dont have any pics to post! After some pictures, we tried to head into the theatre but we weren't allowed to with our beers. This then lead to a drinking/chugging contest between Sarah and I while Holly caught it all on camera and Mushu was in the corner cheering us on. hahaha! Who says Disney characters don't know how to party?

We finally get inside and of course, the parents inform us that they're tired and they don't feel like watching the movie so they're going to head back to the hotel and meet us for dinner later on. So we chugged all that great beer for nothing?! We didn't want to see the movie either so we all headed out of China and said our goodbyes.

Hmm...actually..scrath the goodbyes... I'm pretty sure we rode Maelstrom with my dad and step mom too. So I guess we all headed over to Norway, rode Maelstrom, and then said our goodbyes in the Norway store!

What's a trip to the Norway store without pictures of our favorite troll?

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2419/2484568531_3ea5e14562.jpg

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2005/2485388040_5ec49c1a55.jpg

Holly definitely has more entertaining photos so I'll have to see if I can steal some from her.

After some Norwegian fun, we headed to Mexico to grab a refreshing margarita!

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3288/2485389752_370bf560a3.jpg

Kept on wandering and found ourselves back in the Peter Pan topiary garden..

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2141/2484590269_47cd5af427.jpg

From what I recall it was HOT... so hmm...where can we find aircondition with no wait?! Ahhhh.... Journey into Imagination!

I didn't prepurchase the CD. I wish I did...I had tried to look for the link before I left and I googled everywhere but I couldn't find anything! We buy it every time (well twice so far..lol) and I think it's totally worth it! Even if it works out to $1 a picture, I think it's great!

So I left off with us riding Journey Into Imagination. I still love my purple little dinosaur! When we got off the ride we decided to play around Imageworks and pass some time away.

First, Sarah decided she wanted to dance a little with Figment... lol

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3207/2484647133_9fd807b91f.jpg

Then we played around with the picture maker thinger... hahaha See? I was feeling better!

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2302/2485465992_e0d3fff649.jpg

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3215/2485471550_834a87fdef.jpg

We then decided we were all still a little thirsty and the chugging contest in China didn't satisfy our cravings so we headed back through the World Showcase, stopping in Cananda for a few photos...

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3282/2485487366_85701f8fff.jpg

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2010/2484674829_ef168b48ae.jpg

After I was finally dragged away from all the fun hats, we ended up at the Rose and Crown for some cider!

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3197/2485494990_7ee771766d.jpg

We grabbed a table and waited and drank a little while Pam Brody set up and signed a few autographs for her fans. I had never seen her before so I wanted to see what it was all about! At the same time the three of us had a few laughs because Sarah had a horrible case of the hiccups (it was a recurring thing throughout the day!) so she was trying everything to get rid of them.

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2306/2485507004_a7aa000c24.jpg

Somehow in between all this Pam had asked for volunteers or friends or something and Sarah, being the great fearless performer she is, ended up going up to Pam and singing a duet. Which then turned into Pam just singing and Sarah dancing for the crowd. hahahaha!

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2056/2484704047_d2ef481eb1.jpg

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2031/2484707381_29be0b3eff.jpg

After a pint (or two?) at Rose & Crown, we decided to head out and wander the World some more. Caught the end of the improv group, which was hilarious

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2111/2485545872_3830ecafd1.jpg

and then wandered around the gardens in England for a little bit

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2090/2484730363_3648ede6c4.jpg

Oh...we also ran into Ms. Poppins... hehehehe She was a little confused in the store and just standing around. I think Pooh and all them were in the character spot and she was waiting for them to leave but we grabbed her before a line could start!

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2112/2484754569_4907c0a873.jpg

We kept on wandering after that and since we were in France, a Grand Marnier Slushie was needed. We were smart though and only bought one between the three of us. One each might have done us in and ruined our dinners at Le Cellier!

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3060/2484709879_f3b9ae2ccc.jpg

Oh...and the smell of the crepes was amazing so I had to go get one..

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3036/2484719615_f50e24964b.jpg

After eating and drinking a bit, we continued on our journey to Morocco.

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2316/2484758169_22fc76bebf.jpg

we were hoping to catch Aladdin in the little character spot but sadly it was empty. There were some Fez hats lying around though just asking to be tried on... lol

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3133/2484775473_ab35191dc0.jpg

After a few more pictures, and Sarah attempting to play those finger cymbals, we kept on chugging along to Japan.

Miyuki was in the middle of making her candy animals but the crowd was so big, we just snapped a pic and headed into the store and then watched the drummers a bit

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2173/2484783623_252d48f09c.jpg

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3153/2484796637_7bf5083d23.jpg

Back at the American Adventure, I think this is where we met back up with my parents? I have always loved this show, mostly for the video montage at the end. The song makes me tear up every time I hear it!

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2288/2485621988_dc35e04d22.jpg

After the show we finally turned around and headed back to Canada for some yummy dinner at Le Cellier!

OOPS! I totally hit 'post' instead of 'preview'... I'll continue the rest after lunch!!! :D

We noticed that the Oh! Canada! movie was about to start and we had some time to kill before our table was ready so we headed over there and quickly watched the show. Still one of our favorite 360 movies in the parks now that they changed it!

We headed into Le Cellier and were excited! My fam hasn't eaten there but Sarah and Holly have. Now let the gluttony begin..seriously. I haven't eaten that much in FOREVER! But it was all (well mostly) sooooo delicious!

To start, I had to try the Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup. I thought it was amazing. I liked how it was thick like a chowder and it had great flavor. My dad liked it too but I think he didn't expect it to be as thick as a chowder? We also had an order of the Tomato Stack to try it since the waiter raved about it. Eh? It was good? But nothing fantabulous! I think we left half of it since we were devouring the soup!

For entrees, we all had the Filet Mignon. I asked for no mushrooms and had the mashed potatoes instead of the risotto. I'm pretty sure thats what we all ordered. It was SOOOO good! I couldn't get enough of it! I definitely stuffed myself to finish the whole thing! We also ordered an order of the mac & cheese to try it and that was yummy too!

So I've been hearing about their amazing s'mores dessert so we ordered one. umm...what's the big fuss? None of us really liked it at all! I mean it looked pretty...lol

We would definitely eat here again. The steaks were delicious, just as good if not better than the high end steak houses in nyc and nj by us. Ten times better than Ruth's Chris! I hate that place! lol The service was also great. I wish I got our waiters name. He was really helpful and fun!

As we were heading out of Le Cellier, Illuminations was just about to start. DDad and DSM decided they were gonna beat the crowd and head back before the chaos of leaving the park. So Sarah, Holly, and I stayed for a little bit and watched the rest of the show.

We then all realized we're really tired and Sarah and I had a LONG day ahead of us the next day so we called it a night as well. :(

We said our goodbyes and then I headed over to the monorail to head back to the Poly. When I got back I ran into the GCH and grabbed a tea and water (my throat was starting to tickle again!).

And FINALLY that's the end of day 2!!!! :cool1: Hopefully day 3 wont take as long! GEEZ!

Glad to hear you enjoyed LeCellier - it's one of our faves! And you're dissing Ruth Chris'? :confused3 I haven't been to one in YEARS, but I thought they used to be good. Now, my favorite all-time steak restaurant - Capital Grille!

haha... hope you didn't hit your head when you fainted! :) Yeah...I'm dissing Ruth's Chris. I'm really not a big fan at all of them. I've fallen in love with Fleming's Steakhouse now. It's the high end steak house owned by Outback. and i think it's a million times better than Ruth's Chris!

I totally agree about Ruth's Chris! We love Le Cellier  Looking forward to the next installment!

Yay I'm finally on Day 3!! Lets all do a little happy dance... haha!

So the night before I had tried to lay out all of my clothes for the pirate and princess party... just so i dont forget anything! I packed all my pirate stuff into a backpack when I woke up and got dressed and watched some more Today Show while the rest of the fam got ready.

Today we had breakfast at the Grand Floridian Cafe. We were considering doing Kona again but wanted to change it up and DDad and DSM really like the GFC. So off we went on the monorail with me lugging everything over there with me. We were seated right away and had a GREAT breakfast! I love this place, honestly probably better than Kona. I always get the American breakfast - Two eggs served with biscuits, bacon, sausage and breakfast potatoes and your choice of juice. Yummmmy! Their breakfast potatoes are awesome. And I had good coffee again. yayyy!

So after stuffing our faces and OD'ing on coffee, we hobbled our way out of the GFC and back on the monorail to the MK. I had been texting and calling Sarah during breakfast and she had just told us that she just got into the park too and was waiting over to the left of the security bag check. We quickly spotted her and the first item on our agenda was to find my family's two bricks outside the MK entranceway. It was a little harder than last time (and not as entertaining!) but we found them fairly quickly, snapped a few pics, and then headed over to the lockers to stowe our pirate outfits for later.

After getting all that settled, we headed towards Adventureland b/c it has now turned into my tradition that I have to do Pirates and see the Pirate Tutorial as one of the first things of the day. We had hardly stepped foot into adventureland when we spot... Rafiki!

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3271/2485514577_182d25fb18.jpg

He was pretty funny and played along with our 'adultness' and tried to leave with us after the picture was taken. The poor kids behind us probably almost freaked out. haha!

We realized that it was about time for the Pirate Tutorial so we grabbed a spot and waited a bit.

The show started and Mack came out to do his normal spiel. And is it?! YAYY!! It's the HOT Jack Sparrow! hehehehehe.... here are tons of pics ladies... enjoy...

ok that's enough for now i think.. lol

My dad and stpmom enjoyed the show and thought it was great (As did Sarah and I..haha). We then turned around and walked right into Pirates for the real thing. I really can't ever get sick of this ride!

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2202/2486349500_3a8d026c3d.jpg

The line for the Jungle Cruise was too long and there's nothing in this world that convince my father that he wants to see the Tiki Birds ever again, so we continued on our way towards Frontierland and ran into Peter Pan and Wendy.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3205/2485532165_3a707f6fb5.jpg

So I hate to be un-Disney-like but.... Peter and Wendy were just NOT fun! They seemed ok with the group of teenagers before us. Not too talkative though. So Sarah and I went up to them, said hi, etc, etc and they were just not playing the role. They just wanted a picture taken, no words spoken, the end. Sarah even tried to joke with them with something corny like 'Guess what? I fly too! but i dont use pixiedust! I use airplanes!' and they pretty much rolled their eyes at her. HMPH! So oh well. We snapped our pic and kept on going.

As soon as we got into Frontierland, we saw Woody & Jesse!

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2281/2486358400_0974730516.jpg

We scoped out the scene at the two mountains in frontierland and decided to get Fastpasses for Thunder and ride Splash right away. So Sarah and I went to get the passes and then met the parents back on line at Splash.

Ok so.... WHEN did they change Splash to make sure that you get completely SOAKED?!?! When i went in December we got drenched and thought it was a freak accident. This time, Sarah and I sat in front with my parents int eh back and AGAIN...omg soooo soaked!

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2364/2486358984_75a997b87c.jpg

While we waited to dry off a little, we stopped by one of the ice cream stands to get my favorite...mickey sandwiches!! MMM!!! I wish I could have one of these every day!

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3229/2488396688_48e39cac81.jpg

After our little snack, we jumped on Thunder Mountain to dry off some more.

Sufficiently dried and tossed around, we continued our journey through Frontierland and hopped into the Country Bears for a little singalong. lol

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2210/2488431476_183eb2303a.jpg

After we got our bear fix, we headed to the Haunted Mansion. The parents had been on it since the refurb but honestly didn't notice anything different. figures! We had to point everything out to them.

We were getting a little hungry and our ADR for Tony's lunch was coming up so we started walking towards the front of the park. On the way we caught some of the parade.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3193/2487806783_904a68ff20.jpg

Tony's actually wasn't that bad for lunch! I liked lunch there a lot better than I liked dinner. I had the panini special. I don't remember what was on it, except that there was prosciutto. And whenever there's prosciutto... I order it. haha! I'm slightly addicted! Sorry .... no pictures... i was too hungry and lazy! I forget what everyone else had but no one was disappointed! Impressive!

After lunch we headed back up Main Street for some more fun..

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2060/2487808299_15f651abe8.jpg

Mickey's Philharmagic was just letting people in so we ran in and grabbed some 3D glasses. I was also texting my friend Lisa (the bride!) and she was trying to run her way over to Philharmagic too but didn't make it in time. We enjoyed the show and then headed over to Small World since there wasn't a wait AT ALL!

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3063/2487818703_afee5c6d7a.jpg

While on the ride, Lisa texted and said they were also on the ride so when we got off, we waited for her fam to exit and we all finally got to see each other and say hi! Her parents were joking with mine that my dad better have already started saving up money for my Disney wedding. hehehe.. although they did say that it was around the same price as a normal NY and NJ wedding by us so that made my dad (and me!) feel a little better! hahaha! there's hope for my disney wedding still!

we chit chatted for a few more minutes and then said we'd meet up again for the pirate and princess party later that night. Lisa's fam wanted to still do fantasyland but the wait for everything was way too long so we headed back towards Liberty Square to finish that part of the park up.

I'm gonna have to take a break here though b/c it's 5pm and I need to go home!! Hopefully I'll be back soon with another update!!
