If anyone else wants to join us for these dates or maybe join us for dinner please let me know ASAP!!

You've read the trip report! You have seen us on the boards! You may have even met some of us in person. And if that didn't scare you away, nothing will! Now is your chance to think about if you want to join us for the 2nd Annual Tiaras and Tantrums Meet! Tiaras and tantrums are optional--but a fun loving spirit and sense of humor is NOT!

I know it seems early to be planning but we want you to have time to put it on your calendar, make your vacation plans, consider buying an AP, start convincing your spouse that this is a necessity (mental health reasons--really it is cheaper than therapy!). So mark Oct 23-29th on your calendar. I know, it is close to Halloween, but you will just have to get all those hand sewn costumes done early this year :rotfl2: so you can come and have a great time and be home in time to spend Halloween http://i86.photobucket.com/albums/k111/cfwdwnut/holiday/icon_mickey_halloween.gifwith your kids!

While we are mostly a female group, we are inclusive.

Now, we can't guarantee that you will experience bust a wee humor, but we do recommend that you pack Depends. ;) We are thinking about applying for a sponsorship :scratchin:

We will have more details as it gets closer but feel free to post here if you are interested. You also can pop in on on the link above at the end of the long version of the trip report to say Hi and hang out if you would like --we still hang out and chat there. Right now we don't have resort information. It will probably be Pop or a moderate depending on costs and the number of people going.

Shug says that stuff like that's not what I do up here in Cleveland. Ok I don't ride on an ECV but the drunk part works and if I had a ECV I might do Evil Kenevil tricks on it. So Shug you better keep yours away from me. And I wasn't groped by a stranger on the bus but I did have a drunken conversation with a real Irish guy on the way back to Pop from Pleasure Island. I don't know if he was cute he was a little blurry. LOL

My travel agent makes fun of me because I'm such a planner. She is doing Land/Sea a week or so before us and she asked me to plan her vacation. The owner of the agency tells people how I have my next vacation planned before I come home from the one I'm on.

Somebody on here posted this and I printed it out to hang at work:

The number in red is what the total per person would be, not per night. So if we had a grand villa sun-sat it would cost you $235. That's all! Pretty cool! Of course the dates are different from what we planned. I need to run some figures with the right dates. LOL

These are DVC units and some can sleep 12. It may be a little close for comfort for some, but I don't mind. It would be nice to have a full kitchen I think.

Those dates though are for a sun-sat stay. I think we decided on a Tues-Wed stay so if people could only do a long weekend they could. Points on weekends are much higher so the prices could be higher. I'll have to run the numbers again.
The thing is though it would require a big commitment (and trust) from everyone involved. Eh...just a thought I was having. I know nothing had been decided or really discussed much about where to stay.

Once our supreme meet coordinator gets home we can hopefully start making plans. It's only 6 months away. :rotfl:

Sounds okay to me. With 12 spaces no one should need to bring an air mattress.

And going over a weekend is better for me, we could just go with the cheapest DVC. :thumbsup2

I ran the numbers again and a grand villa at Old Key West for the dates of Oct. 23-29 is 334 points which would break down to $279 per person. Of course that's based on if everyone was going to be there the whole time. Since people will probably be coming and going through the week it may be hard to pull it off. But if we could, it sure would be fun!

Time to start the planning!

We are still a bit up in the air as far as the resort choice. The choices are POP Century or another Value, a moderate, the Swan and Dolphin, or a DVC property.

Depending on peoples budget needs we can do multiple resorts-- everyone does not need to stay in the same place, but it is much easier and more fun if we do.

My inclination is that we should go ahead and make room only reservations for POP so we at least have something to start with. It can be cancelled if we make another plan. Until we have firm commitments I don't think we can make other arrangements. And we probably won't get those for a few more months.

Shugardrawers
05-01-2008, 12:38 PM
Any of those options is ok for me. I don't think too many in a room is a great idea though so the multi bedroom DVC sounds like a bad idea. Too many personalities and vacationing styles is just asking for trouble. I think 2 or 4 if you don't mind sharing a bed in a room at Pop or any mod or Swalphin is ideal.

Definitely, I'm in. :thumbsup2

Okay, I have changed my siggy so we can start PLANNING!

So what is our final count of who is going???? We need to figure out how many rooms we need and who is rooming with whom? Is anyone coming in just for the weekend? It makes a difference for planning the F&W day.

And do we have requests of where to eat besides 50's Prime Time? Shug and I still would love to do LTT for dinner one night. Everyone bailed on us last time and we ended up not going.

I'll have to pass on MNSSHP because I need to keep this a budget trip as much as possible.
I'll do LTT. I wanted to do it last time but I had to fly out that day.

Ok, I'm 95% sure I'm going depending on what prices I can get to fly. I can pass on MNSSHP too. Although I LOVE that parade.

Will there be anyone shoOoopPPing with me?????????????

Don't let that stop you! I'm going in Sept too and coming back 6 weeks later for the TnT meet! Wild horses couldn't keep me away from my girls :thumbsup2

And yes, there will be a TnT 2009. YOU CAN COUNT ON THAT :woohoo:

I updated my wall calendar today and it goes up to November now, so TnT is now officially on the board.

I guess I really should take care of getting ADR's. I think we have to have 50's Prime Time and LTT (I have to go to it as a character meal one last time!)

What other requests do we have?

kimmikayb

Le Cellier, but good luck with that.

So, let's throw some ideas out there!

phorsenuf
08-16-2008, 03:20 PM
I got Jeffs R&R dates and they do not conflict with the trip! :woohoo:
But.....with sending another kid to college and one to London ( and a few unexpected expenses) I'm a little uncertain if I'm going to be able to swing it. :guilty: I'm going to keep planning to come and if we can come out of this a bit in the next month than I should be ok. Once I go back to work and get a couple paychecks I think that'll make a difference.
Do we have any preliminary costs on rooms yet?

Shugardrawers
08-16-2008, 05:05 PM
So far just 4 of us which means we may be able to get away with just 1 room depending on how cozy Kimmy wants to get ;) and how she feels about drunken laughing at 2am :lmao: and locker room talk that would make a sailor blush

Do we want to do Epcot F&W on Saturday again or maybe switch to Friday in hopes it would be a little less crowded?

Snowy, are you coming?? If you come on Sat. do you want to do F&W or something else?

kimmikayb
09-10-2008, 11:04 AM
Friday might be less crowded. Is Snowy our only drop in? Or will others be spending some quality time with us? I am still trying to talk my sister into coming but we won't plan ADRs around her. I will only plan the room around her.

Toni said there were some great, uncrowded places to eat at S & D too.

I am going to call WDW tomorrow, barring any unexpected emergencies.

I really would like to have breakfast at Fresh at the S&D. It is supposed to be really good and I didn't get to go there last time. No ADR needed there though. Figure that can be an anyone that is up and wants to go can head down. I don't mind going alone if no one wants to get up! But who am I kidding-- I am NOT a morning person!!

Picabo is also a buffet place in the Dolphin that is pretty good and prices aren't bad. Again, no ADR needed. And then of course the ice cream place!!

lovetoscrap
09-17-2008, 11:38 PM
Oh, and I am thinking we probably need to limit the ADR's since many will be on a budget. We may end up seeing about walkins if we need to-- like we did with Tony's for lunch last time.

I have updated the park per day schedule on the 1st page.
