I am getting my pre surgery edgyness. Went and did pre op stuff a couple of hrs ago.

I got bumped back to 9:30 am PST surgery time. Don't have to be at hospital until 8:00(better than 6:30 am :eek: ). They figure I will wakeup and be released at 2:00pm. I will let everyone know how things go.

Lots of snow for the next week so will be fun getting around on crutches.

BTW: Linda gets a bum deal having to deal with a very grumpy patient on her birthday. I will owe her bigtime!

Robert, you realize that if they can't do the job orthoscopicly they have to go in through the groin so they have to remove everything in the way. You might want to write "This side up" on it so they get it back in the right position.

Back home from surgery.

NO Microfracture:banana: All due to all your PD and positive thoughts!

Morning started with me showing up at 8:00 am for 9:30 surgery. Well didn't get into surgery until 12:30 as the pt that bumped me had a very difficults surgery from bad skiing accident. It took over 4 hrs:scared1: Put everyone behind schedule. Including me losing patience sitting in hospital bed for over 4 hrs waiting.

Knee was just scoped and can work on wieght bearing over the next few days. Only crutches for a few days. Knee was called "pristine".

DL 1/2, ToT 13K, and Goofy 09 are back online:thumbsup2

Bad news is he took sample of cartilidge to send to lab. Dr will talk more about on Weds(no time to talk) about regrowing more and doing full knee surgery(not scope) in the future to put back in. Not great news but something to worry about later. This procedure would have same recovery as Microfracture:sad2: Told him it has to be after a Goofy race so I would have 11 months to recover:rolleyes1

Have you tried Glucosomine (we get ours from Sam's club) its to help with joint mobility - and i truly can tell a difference!! (they are the size of a horse pill so I do have to grind them up and mix them with peanut butter - but well worth it!!)

I have been taking Gluc for years. I think it has helped but I just think issues with the knee. I plan to start taking higher doses starting tomorrow:)

Great news, I'm glad everything went well. Just think, you had 4 hours to just relax with nothing to bother you. Although I guess with little kids that sounds better than it would to most people. ;)
