ok-Disney Destinations sent me a postcard size folded letter with the clouds and castle on ithere is what it says...Your dvd is on the way but you can start planning now (in mouse ears above my name and address).Inside it has a pin code of 15 numbers only and offers standard room at value $99 per night Sun thru Thurs stays 3/30-5/21/08..then on the bottom it offers 20 percent off entire package with these dates-1/6-2/2,2/24-3/1,3/30-4/12,8/10-9/27,10/19-11/1,11/9-11/15,and 12/7 thru 12/13/08.
I had a vacation booked under my married name....this came because under my maiden name I had sent for the DVD which came a day or two ago..so to really get a discount you have to order the DVD! Hope that helps you guys....

Call me crazy with all of the 40% off codes going around I really want something a little better. But, if nothing comes up anytime soon a will go ahead and book something with the 20% off.

FYI-If it means anything..I ordered the DVD in my married name to which I have a trip planned and in my maiden name to which there is no trip planned.So the dvd came in my married name ..no pin and the pin came in my maiden name announcing the dvd will be coming but start planning now...I had a free complimentary night through exec offices and when I spoke to the lady there she said if any offers come my way she would call.I called her so she would not forget and long behold I got 40 percent or more off the room only! Calling does work ps under my married name that disccount came up!

I never get anything but I got THIS!!! I ordered the DVD at the very beginning of January, still haven't gotten the DVD but i just got the mailer with the 20% off PIN!!!!!

I do not know if this has anything to do with it but....

I registered like I was a new guest with a new email & passcode, same name & same address, just a new email & password. I said I haven't been to Disney since 2000 (big lie) & I was thinking about going in November (true). I ordered the DVD then I priced out packages at different resorts & saved the offers.

I priced Deluxes & the Swan/Dolphin.

I did get an email from Disney Destinations thanking me for ordering the DVD then I got one yesturday about my free letterhead!!!!!

Hope this was the secret trick!!! Let me know if it works for anybody else, it can't hurt to try my method.

I have NEVER received a PIN from Disney, I have gone 7 times in the last 5 years so I figured it was time to start fresh & re-register all over again with a different email.

Disney Website rack rate for same package---$4381.36.


So it looks like the 20% is only off the room, either way I save over $500.00!!!

Dvd and no discounts. I would guess that if the economy heads south anymore than it is already. People will put vacations to Disney on hold. I would guess discount codes would come out late spring and early summer for summer and fall travel.:surfweb:

Nooo, If you get a email/postcard PIN, you should be able to use if for a room-only deluxe resort reservation. I don't think you need to buy the tickets for the discount to take effect. I think you only need to buy tickets in order to purchase one of the dining plans.

What I discovered was that in each section where I had a choice to have offers sent to me IT WAS UNCHECKED. Holy Moly! So I went though each section, It covered receiving information via email, postal or other means... Resorts, General Disney, Shows, Family Fun, Shopping and so on... it is very thorough and very long. It covered everything. Anyway, I am now checked off on everything except sports. lol

You have to go into "Updating Your Profile". On the bottom of that page it says, "Manage your e-mail preferences". Click on that and it brings you to the page... I was very surprised that I had so much not checked off to receive information.

Geez, I've been to Disney 7 times in the last 5 years and have planned a trip next week and in August. I have never received any type of code. I am going to try to re-register as one person suggests above. Doesn't seem right though that repeat customers have to pose as they have never been to Disney in order to get a discount. Any other suggestions about how to get a code? My August trip is for the 2nd-8th which appears to be a week before these discount codes allow? Also, this is my first post on this site. Can we share codes with each other?:lmao:

I've received the new DVD about a week ago and no code before or after it came. There's something more to all of this and getting a discount code especially a 40% one. I have an updated profile including getting any ads on the Disney site. I'm a regular at Disney World, too. I've called twice so far and that's not helping, either.

Also, the 40% codes may be done. Disney may have reached their limit on it.

I'm happy for those who received a code.

I'm waiting about another month to get a good code or I'm going to Vegas instead. I did Disney World in December 2007; so, I can skip it without a good discount coming my way. Good luck to everyone.

Does anyone know if you start your vacation on the last day of one of the valid days for the rates if you get that discount for the full term of the trip? Example is the promo period ends on 4/12... if we bood 4/12-4/20 do we get the discount for the full period or just on 4/12?

Called CRO just now, gave (WONDERFUL) CM the pin code. She couldn't get anything to come up. She tried to use it if she made a new ressie, and it still wouldn't work. So, she put me on hold, and talked to guest services. When she came back, not only did the code apply, but I ended up with 40% off!!! She said that they had sent a bunch of codes out today and they werent' all in the system yet, but guest services confirmed my code and told her to go ahead and take care of it!!

WHOOOHOOOOO!

I'm especially happy, because although it doesn't mean as much money saved for us as for the folks who book more expensive resorts (we're staying at Pop...our kids LOVE it there), we didn't think that we'd be going to disney this year, so in Sept when we were there, we didn't book bounceback free dining!!

So, it's not "free dining", but saving a couple hundred bucks is still sweet!

Don't give up hope folks!! This is the FIRST time we've ever gotten a "code", and we've been to Disney quite a few times in the last 10 years.

:thumbsup2 That's so awesome! I ordered the DVD about three weeks ago and received the pin code for 20% off room only yesterday. I was excited and called for some pricing hoping maybe they'd magically find a 40% code for me.:wizard: Alas, no such luck. Don't mean to sound ungrateful, the code would save us about $500.00. (We have 5 and have to say deluxe.) However, the 40% would have saved us about $1300. That's a huge difference. Just don't know that the 20% is enough to persuade us to go this year. Here's to hoping for some more generous offers.
