View Full Version : FYI - On Webcertificate Plastic Card

I see a lot of folks reluctant to spend the $6.95 for a plastic webcertificate. I'm not sure why that is, because it is a ONE TIME FEE.

I got mine a couple years ago (I only paid $4.95), and when it expired, they sent me a new one for no charge.

So if you are thinking you are going to be charged $6.95 every couple of years, that is not the case.

So get your plastic webcert now before they go up in price again :-)

Also, FYI, I have used mine all over Walt Disney World and at lots of stores locally and NEVER had a problem. You really don't have to go through the exercise of buying Disney dollars (that can get lost).

They do not routinely mail out new cards when the old ones expire, you have to call or email them. When I called, they said that they expected some people may not be adding new webcerts when they spent all the money in their accounts (the fools LOL) so they would only send out the cards upon request.

Welcome chip1

I'm going to bump up a post called "Blink Rewards and Orlando Stuff" which should answer your questions about what a webcertificate is. You can earn webcerts from www.mypoints.com and www.blink.com

Webcertificate is a prepaid Mastercard that you can purchase a set dollar amount and us that amount to purchase at any website that accepts Mastercard.

Several of the online awards programs have Webcertificates as a reward. (Blink, MyPoints, Memolink)

Webcertificate also has a plastic card you can purchase that links to your online Webcertificate account.

Go to www.webcertificate.com for more information.

$5=53,000 points
$10=96,000
$15=141,000
$20=182,000
$25=225,000

I usually cash out at the $10 level.

clkelly, we buy the Disney Dollars to give out to my kids. Much nicer than telling them "hey we put $10 on your charge card!!"...ok, so they don't have charge cards, but that's besides the point.

But you are correct in that the card is MUCH easier to get and use.
