Are there certain planes used for certain routes on certain days??
Sorry let me explain:rotfl: :rotfl:
On two separate trips a year apart we left on a Tuesday from Manchester VS075 from Manchester and the plane was 'Island Lady'. This plane had games on the seatback console.
Last time we left on a Thursday same FLight number and time but we had a plane called 'Jersey Girl' this had no games onboard.
This year we leave on a Saturday same flight, time and airport, just wondering if there was any specific planes for days of the week.
Just wondering whether the kids will need their Nintendos to while away the journey....
Thanx for any info

They do not specify which planes on which flights but sometimes the schedules favour a few aircraft look at http://www.v-flyer.com/chance.asp for more details.

The manchester planes are also the gatwick ones! you will prob never get games on them as they dont have the good entertainment system that the heathrow route plans have. To get the games you need vport and its mostly the heathrow planes that have them

I ahve flown on jersey girl from gatwick many a times

That is not true, some of the entertainment systems used on the Gatwick/Manchester route do have games and that are not VPORT, we had games on our flights which was Ruby Tuesday which had the odyssey system.

Whilst working with virgin atlantic! we were told to tell people that the chances of getting the games are slim as the majority of planes run the nova system

yes there is a chance of not having games as not all the planes have them on the route however there is planes used on the Gatwick/manchester route that do have games, you said they was only games on VPORT and which is the bit that is not correct as odyssey has a few games and is used on the Gatwick/Manchester route.

Island Lady has been retired along with Honey Pie which were wet leased to VA to run the Manchester route.

There are currently 8 planes running the MCO route, 5 of which have super nova IFE (no games) and 3 have odessey (with games).
