It has been offered the last several years in late Aug and part of Sept. I all depends on what WDW does. It has already been offered as a bounce back, and to UK but we are waiting for a general public release.

When we were there in September the bounceback was offered for August 30 - Sept. 27 2008. My husband said it was too hot and too crowded and refused to do the bounceback. My neighbors did the bounceback and booked for Sept. 27 - Oct. 3 2008. There are some people on here saying that you can't book past the 27th but we know three different couples that did and many Disers who said they have booked the bounceback from the FD end date through first week of October.

Someone on the Dining board has already posted (according to their relative who is a Disney employee) that the offer will come out about April 5. The first three days will only be open to Disney Visa holders and then open to the general public, just like the previous years. And I'd bet good money that the poster was correct. Free Dining has been a brilliant plan on the part of Disney to fill the crowds during what was previously their slowest season, and hurrican season to boot. And then having the bounceback for free food while the free diners are there in the parks, on their Disney high, well I would call that pure marketing genius.

I already booked my trip through Disney and bought a package with dining..we'll be there 9/20 to 9/27...would I be able to call and get the free dining?

The way it has worked in the past is that if you already have a package booked, once the free dining is announced you can call and add it on to your room. But ONLY if they still have it available at your resort. They only have so many per resort.
