We went shopping for coffee...not so worth it! We are now in the market for one of the pod replacement thingys. Our Walmarts don't stock them...any other ideas? Target doesn't carry them either.

I make my own! I had to experiment a bit to get the proportions right, but this is what I do.. I rest the 2 pod holder on a small dish or cup to hold it steady and put a regular size basket coffee filter into it. Just center it on and push it into the pod holder. Then scoop your coffee into that and press it in with the back of the coffee scoop. You want the pod holder pretty full. Fold up the coffee filter around the coffee, making sure you cover it totally and don't have any sections of filter sticking out of the pod holder. Then I wet the whole thing under the faucet - just a little to make the filter stick. If you can close the coffee maker easily you'll be OK. Push the two cup button and you're good to go.

Like I said, I had to experiment a bit to get this right, but try it!

Wow! That all looks fantastic! I didn't get in on that one for some reason, but I should be getting the Lipstick Jungle party box soon. I hope it's as good as yours! Maybe they're aiming for fewer parties with better stuff! At least that's what I'm hoping for!

Some of that stuff looks like it would make great holloween costume material down the road!

I recieved a very nice royal blue backpack from Merck yesterday. It was from their Back to School promo from the fall. Never thought I'd get it! A coworker of mine's daughter teaches in an underprivleged school district and always does a collection of gently used backpacks for the kids without them, now I have a brand new one to contribute. The backpack is plain too-no big Merck logo on it. I love sharing the freebie wealth!:goodvibes

Thanks Madd! Yeah ~I almost forgot about that~ I love their salad!!! I wonder it the dressing has alot of points. I would love to buy some of that and take it home. Then I have to decide if I want scallops, shrimp or chicken. I usually have steak ~ but I the other options should be less points and still yummy

Not sure if this counts, (newbie) but if you are expecting or have a small child in diapers, sign up for an account on Pampers.com

Each Pampers product has a number imprinted on it. If you return to the website and enter the numbers, you accumlate points for all of your purchases. You can then use the points for free gifts. There's some good stuff too. (board books, bob the builder dvds, free cereal coupons, etc.)

Its a little extra work, but if I can get anything fun out of buying a bunch of diapers, I'm gonna go for it.

I'm sure it won't... one thing someone that I used to know told me was that she allowed herself one splurge meal a week. She kept it within reason (which it sounds like you did) but she let herself have whatever she wanted. That way she didn't feel so "deprived".

www.hotexas.com/freesample.htm

After you fill out the form, it asks you if you want another free gift. When I clicked on it, I got a pop up.

I fill this one out each time it comes around and have yet to get it. Anyone have luck with it?

I'm sure it won't... one thing someone that I used to know told me was that she allowed herself one splurge meal a week. She kept it within reason (which it sounds like you did) but she let herself have whatever she wanted. That way she didn't feel so "deprived".

Good luck- let us know!

Thanks for the support gals!
see ya on next weeks thread!

I've been doing the Weight Watchers plan~on my own this time~ Plus I'm exercising a lot. Madd that's awesome that you lost 10lbs ~way to go ~ you deserve some new bathing suits. You are such an awesome person~ you give the freebie site spark! Have fun on your Vacation!!! I have some time B-4 my vaca. If I lose 2lbs a week I will be at my goal!!! I'm in trouble tonight we are going to a Japanese Steak house ~ so I'll starve my self all day until we go. I have a great zero point veggie soup I like!

Hey Angie, I started Weight Watchers too - started on New Years Eve. Are you doing the Flex or Core? I did Flex a couple of years ago, but I hated counting those points! I'm trying Core now - seems easier. I've lost 14 lbs so far.

Hi Jennifer
I am doing the flex plan however I didn't join WW officially this time. I have done the program before and had lost close to 40 lbs B-4 and became a lifetime member, but then after the last couple years the pounds creapt back up on me, so now I am doing it on my own. I'm also excersing at the local YMCA. If I can't do well with it on my own then I may decide to officially join. The WW program is a good one especially when combined with exercise. I've never tried the Core program myself. It sounds like it's really working for you. Fourteen pounds~ that GREAT!!! keep up the good work. I don't mind the points program cuz thats the one I'm most familiar with. ( i just decided to get serious last week so my first (unofficial) weigh in is today) I'm crossing my fingers
I also just joined a Lose Weight for Mickey thread (http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1673554)here on the good ol DIS.

You should join it too.

time to get the kids ready for school and go exercise!!!:yay:
