I personally will definitely be doing the tea/hellmans deal (I stock up on tea whenever possible and supply my inlaws with it as well), so looking at this week:

10.00 = 4 boxes tea
3.29 = 1 Stayfree
1.99 = 1 Arm & Hammer Toothpaste
5.98 = 2 Purex Laundry (Need laundry soap and this is a decent price)
=21.26
-4/20
-2.00 mfg tea Q's
-1.00 mfg toothpaste Q
-3.29 mfg Q for stayfree (there are $2/2 Q's so you could get 2 of those instead of a laundry soap)
-2.00 mfg Purex Q

=8.97 OOP to be paid with ECB's

Get back $5 ECB (tea), $1 ECB (TP), $3.29 ECB (Pads) = a little profit & FREE laundry soap for me! :woohoo:

If you had the Stayfree Q $2/2 (get 2 pads vs 2 soaps/only get 1 laundry soap) your total would be $21.56 before Q's and if you had the same other items/coupons then subtotal after Q's would be $11.56 and get back $9.29 in ECB's so an ECB loss of a little but still decent.

Other deals are to be found - HCW had a deal posted on advil - $4 each - $10 ECB WYB $20. There is a $2 printable for advil you can print, so
$20 = 5 Advils
-4/20
-10 - Advil $2 Q's x5

= $6 to be paid and get back $10 ECB

I need to look at next week some more because I really haven't planned my trips yet

Can you share the Advil and Stayfree coupons? I have $1 Advil coupons from the paper, I didn't know there was a printable.

Hey, I am getting a lot of PMs for the coupons from Ebay.

I don't use the same person each time. I do a search for the name of the coupon and scroll down to the bottom where the search looks in the Ebay stores. If someone has one coupon from that circular, they'll have all of them. It's less expensive to pick one seller to buy it from. The difference between all of them is usually less than 50 cents, depends on shipping.

I pay 7-10% of the face value of the coupon plus a buck for shipping. That is how I got $20 of coupons for $3 :)

I hope that helps!! :)

I just received my printed circular this morning. It shows the Buy $25 of Huggies products, get $5 ECB deal. It also shows Jumbo packs are $8.88 with card, excluding the Overnites. Do you think the Overnites are included in the ECB deal, though?

I'm excited about the Hellman's deal. I ran out of Mayo and really need to stock back up. I didn't think it'd be possible to ever run out, but I did a LOT of holiday cooking over Nov/Dec that used mayo.

Mine has light, but their stock is so limited, if I don't do something like this or cereal first thing Sunday morning, I am out of luck for the entire week.

I can't find clarification anywhere so girls help me out

The Phantom deal is going on again this week. It says again limit 1...I have already gotten 4 (2 of each with 2 cards) and I'm wondering if I can do it again. DBF shaves his head at least once a day, and this is the razor he uses...the power, with 2 cartridges is a heck of a deal for 3.00!!

Is it 1 time ever, or 1 time each week?

But I must ask, your DBF shaves his head at least once a day? Does that mean that there are days he shaves his head more than once??? I should tell DH, who is pretty much bald on top, that he is lucky he doesn't have to do that!

Hoping my CVS has more of the specials in stock this week - they were out of most everything this past week - no SoyJoys, no Mennen 24/7 and very few of the other deals.

Looking forward to the Lipton Tea and the Huggies deals!

How many times can you do the Helmans deal? also, I thinks is a strange question but...how do you get another card? Can it be done in the store or do I have to send/wait for it.
also, I saw someone on one of the threads said they could only do one transaction a day? Did I not understand it correctly? Can I do one transaction and go back in the store right away or should I do to another store?

maggiew
01-26-2008, 09:44 PM
You can do more than one transaction per day. However, if you go through and do many transactions, all with some $/$$ printable coupons, some stores get cranky and will limit the printables to one per day (of one type, like only one $4/$20 per day or one $3/$15 per day).

Most people find that if they "fly under the radar" and don't draw too much attention to themselves (like pulling out 10 cards at once!), they have less trouble.

Limit 1 per card.

You can sign up for a 2nd card in the store. I usually recommend putting the 2nd card in someone else's name or using your 1st name with maiden name, anything to distinguish the 2 cards differently so when the ECB's print out you can quickly realize you are using the WRONG ECB's with the wrong card :headache: I also try to keep the gender the same so IF you have to call customer service you don't have to explain why Bill Smith sounds like Jill Smith  It is always w/o fail that when you have a problem it is on the card NOT in your name

As far as how many transaction you can do at once....YMMV. Some stores will try to tell you that you can't have multiple cards. You can't use more than 1 printable $/$, whatever. Others don't care. So it is up to the store and what you are comfortable with.

lol yup, there are days when he shaves it twice......I love it when his head is fresh shaven, and his face, other than his goatee....therefore, if he leaves at 2am for a run and ends up without a layover when he gets home that night he will shave again for me :) I am constantly running my hand over his head

He also has a clown look if he grew his hair out its missing on top:confused3 so he just doesnt grow it out more than 2 days if he is on a layover.

He has a total steve austin (the wrestler) look going on, people tell him all the time he looks like him. Which he does, he's 6'1 250lbs, bald with a goatee and huge blue eyes...

it's a gillette razor.

The power one- is 9.99 less a 6.00 ecb the manual is 8.99 minus a 6.00 ecb. the manual, only comes with the 1 cartridge, the power has 2. A pack of 4 cartridges is over $11.00 for these mega blade razors (some have 5 blades now!)...

It works out to being 1.50 per cartridge, which is so much more cheaper than I can find anywhere, even with good coupons like the 4.00 off ones that Schick had...

he goes thru a new cartridge every other day, so it adds up

I didn't give my phone number when I got the card..........the day I got it the girl gave me a card, activated it, and said, "just fill out the info and bring it next time you come in or send it in". but i never did, I have been using the card sporadically for a couple years, it always works and prints out extra bucks too.

Just got back from my first CVS run this week. I have one store that will allow me to stack coupons (depending on the cashier/manager)...so this is what I bought:

Cottonelle $4.99x2 (these were originally $9.99!) print $2 ECBx2
Cottonelle Wipes $5.98 - prints $3 ECB
Garnier Fructis 2/$10 - prints $5 ECB
5 Advil 5/$20 - prints $10 ECB
Stayfree $3.29 - prints $3.29 ECB

I forgot to use my Stayfree and Cottonelle wipes coupons, but I did use:
CVS 10/50
CVS 5/30
CVS 4/20
CVS 3/15
CVS 2/10
Garnier Fructis $1/1 x2
Cottonelle $0.50/1
Advil $2/1 x 5

ECB's spent : $14.00
OOP: 0.05
ECB's earned: $25.29

I really want to go back and grab a few more Cottonelle before they are all gone!!

This happened to me last week...I just said I understood and I needed to rethink my purchase to get the best use out of my coupons. The manager was very friendly and I wound up only purchasing 2 items VS the 10 I had originally planned to buy, but I still walked out even with ECB's spent/earned...and nothing OOP as the manager adjusted an ECB from $1.00 to $0.98.

I am back from CVS. When I went in I saw one of the mangers who loves to see how low I can get my total. He was getting ready to go home but said he was staying to see how I did. They let me stack coupons unitl the reg. beeps.
So it is to long to type it all. I was 132.00 before coupons. I did all the ones that where posted first then my crt's them mq. I ended up spending 20 oop and that was because DD was with me and needed a blow dryer to bring back to college. I got 42.00 in ecb back and about 20 coupons for free cvs stuff.
The manager was clapping but told DD she cost mre to much money:lmao: :lmao:

After coupons, CVS $$ coupons and manu coupons I spent a WHOPPING:

Yahoo! I was thrilled. I just started CVSing about 3 weeks ago. I'm totally hooked. I am no longer running to Walmart and BJs for household items. I was so thrilled with how much I saved today that I couldn't wait to some home to show my hubby! He thinks I'm nutts...happy...but nutts.

Sorry this is long!

I just came back and did two transactions. I was so flustered at the register, I am not on top of my game tonight!

Plus I saw the 20 double roll packs of cottonelle for $5? That is cheap, like 50 cents a pack for regular sized rolls. Can I blame the excitement over cheap TP for my high OOPs? lol

1st Transaction
4 TPS - 19.96
bottle of cinnamon - .88
---------------
- $4 off of $20 (I am glad I printed extras!)
- $5 ECB (P&G)
- $6 ECB (razor)
---------------- 6.38 OOP (DOH there goes my average but I only had those two ECBs and a $20)

BUT $8 in surprised ECBs printed from the TP!

2nd Transaction
First I messed this one up because of missing shampoo, boo hiss. But now I get to go back tomorrow for more TP too hehe

8 skippy PB - $12
2 Robitussin - $12
2 Tylenol PMs - $8
1 A&H toothpaste - $1.99
1 Stayfree - $3.29
1 power razor - $9.99
1 TP pack - 4.99 (to make up for the shampoo I forgot
-------------
- $4 skippy coupons
- $1 stayfree
- $6 robitussin
- $4 advil
- $1 toothpaste
- $2 razor
- $10 off of $50
- $20 ECB
---------- $6.19, tax on all those coupons and 3/4ths of a TP pack. If I had thought a little harder I would of gotten a second TP and used the $8 - see how smart I am when I am sitting in front of my computer?

I now have $33 in ECBs and I am thinking about spending them all on TP! Is there a limit to the Cottonelle? I can take back a huge $10 pack of TP I bought last night that is still in my trunk! hehe

No limit on the TP that I can tell, but there is a limit of 5 I think of the $2 ECBs (so max of $10) on each card. It shows on your receipt I think. Better hurry though as people were driving to my store tonight from different CVS stores buying it all up - 4 women to a vehicle. The cashier told my daughter that he had more in the back, but he didn't bring it out.

A corporate email supposedly went out last Thursday saying that only one $/$$ coupon can be used per transaction and I guess they began enforcing it at my closest store on Friday. I only did one transaction tonight, but others at the store were breaking theirs up into $20 groups to use the $4/20. I did the $15/$75 and a CRT $10/50 (they said no limit on CRT coupons and asked if I had more! - didn't). I don't know if the email went to all stores or individual stores because people were still stacking and super-stacking at other stores today (per relatives and friends), so maybe some hadn't informed their employees or hadn't read the email.

The Helmann's/Ragu/Skippy deal is only $3 ECBs here too.

I finally finished my mascara monthly deal - I was going to do it last week, but it was on sale for $6.99 and I needed $7.01. Kinda funny that I had to wait for the price to go up so I could get my $5 ECBs.

Hmm, interesting, when I mentioned it a week or two ago I got told that i was bitter because my store doesn't stack. Odd, because I have never even tried to stack at CVS! I bet it is going around as fast as lightning and I am sure that some stores will still do as they please.

Ah, that would explain the way I was treated the other day at CVS when I brought in my stack of coupons. I have been told several times in the past by 2 managers and 2 cashiers that I could use as many of the $/$$$ coupons as my total allowed and as long as the register didn't beep. This last trip I was treated like I was shoplifting for trying to use more than 1 CVS printable coupon on 1 transaction. :confused3

No worries, I adjusted my purchases and put back any extra fillers I had picked up just to get my total up to the $75 so I could use the $15 off.

I still used CVS gift cards to pay for my purchases so I still wasn't technically OOP anything.

I knew the super stacking was too good to last. Oh well.

Super stacking means when you have a $20 order you use a printable 4/20, 3/15, and a 2/10 all on this order. Some stores have taken several of each. I guess now they are not doing this at some stores.

The ECBs that print every 3 months are your quartely earnings. You earn 2% on what you spend in each quarter. If you check your receipt it tell you what your winter spending is. If your card is registered you will get a phone call to tell you when your quartely ECB will be ready. It will print the next time you shop CVS using your card.

The ECBs you earn each time you shop print out on the bottom of your receipt. For instance the Stayfree is $3.99 and you get $3.99 ECB back. This will print on your receipt along with any others you earn on that trip.

LOL, they have always known what is going on. The "super" stacking is described above this post, and what it does is get the store volume sales up.

There seems to be a pattern that goes like this..

if CVS is fairly new in your area, they want you to buy buy buy and will take any coupons you have

if you start seeing more and more CVS stores built, some will continue to do the above, and some will not

when you see one every where you go, then it's rules rules rules

Right now the stores here are super-stacking CRT $/$$ (register coupons), but no long stacking printable $/$$

Yes you use them just like money. It is really nice if you can roll them to get more ECBs. If you earn $5.00 this trip, you use them next trip to pay for purchase and try to get $5.00 or more back. That is how you keep playing on their money.

We have a shift-lead who doesn't want anyone to "make" money on a deal, so she'll deny a mfg. coupon if it makes the item less than free counting ECBs (for example, she'll deny the StayFree $1 coupon to people tomorrow). She also insisted the $5 Tylenol coupon was fraudulent (they were watermarked through the coupon printer and linked right from tylenol.com). I said I would write my name, address and phone number on the back and if it came back as fraudulent, I would repay the $5, so she said she would take it even though she knew it wasn't real, but she was showing it to her manager.

I was CVSing out in the Western suburbs of Chicago yesterday with DSis and DMom.

So, just a little report:

CVS #1 the shift supervisor allowed superstacking on multiple transactions. She did look at each coupon very carefully and of all coupons she questioned my Hellman's one from the Sunday paper! :lmao:

We overheard an employee saying something about only be allowed to print out the CVS printables two times, but nothing about how many you could use per transaction. Maybe he was the confused one and didn't quite understand what corporate was trying to communicate if the superstacking is no longer allowed.

CVS #2 the cashier also allowed superstacking and keept asking "don't you have more coupons? Bring it on!" He was very nice and really seemed to understand about all the coupons.

I did the Huggies deal for DSis, Stayfree, Arm & Hammer toothpaste, Hellman's/Lipton ($3 ECB here), Fructis, Advil, and a couple filler items. Three transactions total on my two cards and spent $2.56 OOP. Not bad! :thumbsup2

I might have to try this out! I have so many ECBs to use, but I'm running out of space for all the stockpiling!

When I start to "fill up" I put together a big box and donate them to either homeless shelters, red cross, school drives (2 kids in school and they always seem to have some type of drive going on  ), etc. This way I can keep rolling and I get to donate more through the year :thumbsup2 Just be sure to make a list of what you donate and get a slip if possible from whatever place you donate to then you can claim it on next years taxes.

The Cottonelle is a special 20 roll pack that was a bonus buy for the month of January (not in this weeks ad). It was priced at $9.99 with $2 ECB's, but they are clearancing them out at $4.99 and they are still printing the $2 ECB's.

I went to two differnt CVS's near me last week looking for the $9.99 Cottonelle - the manager of one of the stores actually told me that that is a "seasonal" iteam, and he ran out of it around Christmas and to come back next Christmas and they would have it. I must of looked at him like he was a loon because I said, next CHRISTMAS?????? He said yes, and I can't even give you a rain check or anything for something similiar.

Now I'm going to look at a few more CVS's in the area to see if I can find it!

My store had the Cottonelle in the back by the pharmacy/stock room door. I missed it the first couple of times I was in the store as I kept looking on the shelves. I think it is too big for the shelves and they couldn't find anywhere else to put it.

[QUOTE=LanaJae;22816785]

I just ran into this yesterday. I had 1 each of $10/50, $4/20, $3/15 & $2/10. I was spending $76, so I was told I could only use coupons combined that reach my total, so I did the $10 & $4 ( I know - could have used the $3 & $2, but the kids were starting to act up & the line was getting really long & I couldn't think that fast right then, so I just let her do it!) The kid had to call the manager over & that's who said about it needing to be under my total. She said they changed the policy because people were printing multiple copies & taking advantage of it:rolleyes1 Of course I had to come on here & see if it was true or if they just didn't want to do it! Guess something did happen - can't say I'm too surprised though!

Just got back. My CVS did not have the Cotonelle on sale. HOWEVER, I did pick up (by accident) the two pack of J&J Q-tips that was $4.99 with $2 ECB's. It rang up for $2.50 plus the ECB for $2 printed. Tons of Q-tips for
$.50. Does anyone know if markdowns are regional?

I bet that the ECB's end on 1/31 so they are still printing and at the same time they are discounting the extra value items.

I wish they my CVS had one of those scanners available so I could scan all the extra value items to see which one's are discounted.

Please post any others that you find.

Both of the CVS's in my area have the scanners so I did scan several items. The Cottonelle scanned at $4.99, the Dial 3 pack scanned at $3.50 (originally $6) and the Q-tips at $2.50....all still gave ECB's. The J&J items did not scan at 50% off, but they did scan differently....I can't remember what the prices are, but say it was originally $5.99....when I scanned it the scanner read $5.99
with Extracare Card $5.97

This happened with several items. I am thinking this is what happens right before the items are clearanced so keep a look-out for further reductions!!

Central Florida 50% off Value packs:

Cottonelle $4.99 $2 ECB's
Dail 3-pack $3.50 $2 ECB's
Q-Tips $2.50 $2 ECB's

Centrum Cardio has a coupon on the Centrum site, It's $2 off, not one like it says. I have recently been diagnosed with high cholesterol, so I thought I would give it a try. I just bought a bottle at Walgreens with my $1 coupon from the paper, but was looking for a 2nd one so I could get the 4 ecb back. I have no idea what it costs. At Walgreens 60 was 8.99. This bottle is 120 pills. You take 2 a day.

I am hoping to find TP at the store tonight. Q-tips would be good. DH uses a lot of them. my store doesn’t have scanners though:sad1:

I read somewhere that they were clearancing out the VP at 50% off (YMMV). But it was select items and some of the VP were going to be separated and sold individually at regular price?

No Cottonelle and no Q-tips left here. The other value packs were still regular price until 2/02 so we will see what happens to them after that.

My total today was way off - I actually paid $16 OOP for $62 worth of stuff. I had one of the sweet cashiers who apologized for not being able to let me use more of my printed coupons (I didn't try but he saw the stack I had in my coupon folder). I had my 2 youngest kids with me and it was an unscheduled stop so I always get flustered trying to juggle them with my coupons and cart full of stuff. :rotfl:

Oh well - I actually got things I NEEDED today - things I normally would have purchased anyway like diapers, wipes, paper towels and decaf tea bags so it was still a good deal for me and I came out with $19.29 in ECBs so still technically "ahead".

Today I went in and got:

1 Cottonelle TP Reg $9.99 on sale for $4.99
4 Fructis Shampoo Reg $7.79 each on sale 2/$10
2 stayfree clean ultra thins Reg $3.59 ea on sale for $3.29
used 4 x $1 off Garnier
1 $2 off stayfree
2 X/$X coupons(don't remember which, don't have reciept handy) and ended up paying about $16OOP

But I got back $2 Cottonelle, $3.29 Stayfree and $10 Garnier.

So, paid $16ish, got back $15.29 in ECBs....so basically a wash.

I had spent all my ECBs on need items over the last week or so, so I'm kinda starting fresh again.

Thanks for the heads up on the TP, never would have bought that otherwise. Would have bought more but I just don't have anymore room to store, bought 2 of them a week or so ago already. My stores never did get the Qtips:confused: so I'm out of luck there. The thing I'd like to see go on clearance would be the flushable wipes, I'm gonna go scan them on Weds and see what they're ringing..I might pick up the dial too, that's a really great deal!

Ok stupid question - is the Gillette Fusion Phenom razor the same as the Gillette Fusion razor? I did the Fusion manual razor last week just to get the cartridges for DH but can I do the Fusion Phenom razor this week?

Does SoyJoy end 1/31 or is it already over?

Also - DD9 bought a Hershey bar and it printed on my receipt "Buy 10 Hershey bars get 1 free". Not that we NEED anymore chocolate - still have 8 more bags of M&Ms here - but I hadn't seen that posted anywhere else. Great filler item if you need one.

I think the razor from last week is the same as this week and if you got $6 ECBs last week, you can't do it this week (is that right anyone?)

Soy Joy goes until 2-3-08 (that one I know for certain lol)

They did the Hershey buy 10 last quarter too, love it as a filler.

I had been doing the (unadvertised) Hallmark deal - spend $25 and get free wrapping paper. It's not that great - it's just $2.50 off any wrapping paper (thankfully most of my Hallmark was Christmas clearance).

I tried to do the razor deal last night with a regular Fusion and it did not generate an ECB for me. Others have reported that it actually has to be the Phenom as well. It is a "new" deal so you can do it again if you did it last week (just make sure to get the Phenom)

I bught the Cottonelle wipes last night and they are not 50% off. They likely will not go to 50% off since the stores can break up the packages and sell those items individually. Over on HCW, there have been a couple reports of people talking to the manages about the 50% off deals and it seems that the TP, J&J, Q-tips and Dial are the only things going to 50% off right now.

Still can't find any Cottonelle - I guess we'll have to wait till next Christmas to wipe - anyway, found the dial 3 pack - went up to pay, cashier rang it up, looked at the register, looked back at the soap, looked at the register, soap, register....you get the idea - she then had to call the manager to verify if she could sell it to me for that price, manager said, yeah, of course, then the cashier was afraid I was also going to get the ecb's back on it as well!! It's like it was coming out of her pocket - the receipt prints and lo and behold the ecb generates, that really put her in a tizzy, her final words to me???

I find something that is fairly cheap that I have a coupon for or I just get a cheap pack of gum or candy bar. I bought a bunch of the Johnson's buddies coupons for this reason. The bars are $.99 but the coupon makes them free plus thay act as a great filler when I need less than $1 to use a $/$$ coupon :)

As for tonight, why not get a box of the q-tips or the J&J special packs that are also comign up at 50% off. You will pay ~$2 more but will get it right back in more ECBs.

I got 2 more packs of cottonelle tonight, no extra ECBs printed but I have enough for a year and I half I think :rotfl2:

Let's see...
4 big Fructis shampoos
2 cottonelles
1 sambucol
------
$43 or so
- $3 shampoo
-5 off of $30 (it was all I had grr)
-$3 ECB (skippy)
-$3.29 ECB (stayfree)
-$6.00 ECB (razor)
-$8.00 ECB (cottonelle)
-$10 ECb (advil)
$4.68 OOP

The shampoo gave me a $10 ECB and the Sambucol didn't print so they gave me a giftcard. I think I have $23 ECBs total to spend now :)

It is the VA store that you told me about. They only let you get two!

I called all our local stores today and they said they were out. VA said they only had 4 left but when I got there I saw a stack of 20 easy. I can understand them wanting to spread the bargain out, but the ECB is 5, they shouldn't limit it to two!

Our VA store has new year napkins on sale for 15 cents, I used one of those as a filler for my mom.

We did three transactions for her tonight. She got the pepsi deal, 2 cottonelles, advil, robitussin, satyfree, toothpaste, another filler shampoo, 4 soy joy and those 15 napkins. Spent about $25 oop to get her started and she got 18.39 in ECBs! :) I think she's hooked!

I did the $15/$75 and a CRT $10/50 (they said no limit on CRT coupons and asked if I had more! - didn't).

Okay, I can usually figure out the abbreviations, but CRT coupon has me stumped :confused3 Can someone share what that one means. thanks so much. :goodvibes

Just did a few quick CVS runs to look for the 50% off value packs.
I found 1 Dial pack at the first store it rang up at 3.49 and I got the ECB.
Second store had nothing. Third store had a bunch of Cottonelle and J&J cotton swabs and 1 dial pack so I bought one of each. They all rang up 50% off but the printer jammed and my ECB's and receipt are totally unreadable. I called customer service to see if they could reprint them and he said they would look into it and get back to me on Friday. Does it usually take that long? I have never had to call them about anything before. Even if I don't get the ECB's on them it was still a really good deal. If I can make some space in the closet I am going back for more toilet paper in the morning.

Hey there!!

Okay, CRT (cash register tape) was too easy. Can't believe I couldn't figure that one out. :rolleyes1
I'm trying to get into the CVS roll, but I haven't done too well so far. I seem to either misplace my ECBs or they expire before I make it back to the store. I have been using the pharmacy, so I do have some of the $25 GCs that I will get to use eventually. Someone else is taking all of your CVS deals. However, when you can't find the deals at Target, then I probably was in there just ahead of you. ;) I'm completely hooked on Target, just gotta get this CVS system figured out.

Well if you have another prescription to get filled this week let me know - I have a $30 Rite Aid coupon that CVS will honor but it expires on 1/31.

I am getting the hang of the CVS thing but I have to juggle a squirmy 8 month old when I go so I never get to take my time and figure out the absolute best deal. There is 1 girl who works in there that is really a witch about using coupons but most of the workers like to see how low I can get the total.

Someone definitely hits that CVS often though b/c they are always out of the ECB deals. I never did get any of the Mennen 24/7 and DH really needed some extras for his workout bag. I only got 5 SoyJoys so far and I look at least 2 or 3 times a week.

If I can get DH to watch the boy then we should go together one nite or on the weekend to CVS. :thumbsup2

Here's another question for ya regular CVSers. Did I imagine this or has someone posted that CVS will honor Walgreen's own store coupons? I haven't tried that one, but seems like I read this somewhere, maybe. If so, is that a corporate policy or a per store policy? I hate the game it depends on who rings you up and who is the mgr and what is their opinion on that given day. :headache: Sorry for the rant...it's just frustrating IMO. :)

I tried to do the razor deal last night with a regular Fusion and it did not generate an ECB for me. Others have reported that it actually has to be the Phenom as well. It is a "new" deal so you can do it again if you did it last week (just make sure to get the Phenom)

SoyJoy is good thru Feb 3rd

I bught the Cottonelle wipes last night and they are not 50% off. They likely will not go to 50% off since the stores can break up the packages and sell those items individually. Over on HCW, there have been a couple reports of people talking to the manages about the 50% off deals and it seems that the TP, J&J, Q-tips and Dial are the only things going to 50% off right now.

Glad I saw this. It made me check my receipt and my razor did not print. I even used a 2 off coupon :headache: I guess i will take it back tomorrow and get the right one.

Has anyone ever tried stacking all of the coupons...15/75, 10/50, 5/30, 4/20, 3/15 & 2/10?? I have gone as far as the 10/50, but only once. I usually start with 5/30 if I am stacking coupons. I only have 2 CVS's in my area, so I feel like they recognize me already...the crazy lady with all the coupons!! :rotfl:

Yep! My store used to let me super-stack starting with the 15/75 and going on down to the 2/10. I could even use multiples as long as they each had a different code. I think my best ever stacking deal was on the last week's thread.

That store will no longer let you use more than 1 printable coupon per transaction but I have been successful in using 1 printable and 1 CRT coupon (5/25) per transaction.

My store will accept Rite Aid coupons at the pharmacy for gift cards with prescription transfers but I don't know about using other types of other store coupons for items purchased. That seems to vary by store and by state. We are in MD.

the Sambucol didn't print so they gave me a giftcard. I think I have $23 ECBs total to spend now :)

If you have a chance to call CVS's toll free number tomorrow on the Sambucol, could you? I finally found a bottle and the ECB didn't print and it seems like if they get enough calls they will do something to make the ECB print in 48 hours. Mine just told me to call and the last two times this has happened, they act like it's just me, even though others here have reported the same problem.

Depends on your store - some are good about signage and some do hardly any :confused3

Reading the weekly ad as well as the monthly ad (my bibles :teacher: ) are how I know what the current deals. By checking out the deals for the next week I can usually come up with a couple plans of attack - so if something is out I have an alternate. Sometimes it just completely gets thrown out the window and they have nothing on hand in the store and I can get frazzled but I always know which items are free after ECB or nearly free and I keep those coupons in the front of my organizer to add in if I need a sub or filler - right now I have been using the Afrin Q's I got from buzz - $0.99 after coupon but able to use a $/$$ off with it so nothing extra OOP.

Sure she is hooked. Who would not be if you get free stuff.

In VA today I am going in the opposite direction NE I think. DH has me on a wild goose chase and what better way to shop different CVSs.:cool1:

Since January they have printed a MONTHLY flyer that you can pick up in the stores. Hopefully they will keep doing them. Also sometimes people stumble onto a "secret" deal or an early start deal - like last weeks b1g1f M&M deal - and those we have to post to keep each other informed.

It is really aggravating when we have to keep a check to be sure we get what we are supposed to.

Went looking for the clearanced offers -- No Cottonelle 20-roll, Dial 3-pack, or Q-tips -- but I did well thanks to someone posting here that you could use the $10/$50 CVS printable coupon along with the $10/$50 CRT. Bought MILK & FOOD, something we forget that CVS can be good for:
3 Ragu Pasta Sauces, $1.50 each (I usually buy for $1 on sale at supermarket, but this was OK)
4 Skippy Peanut Butters, $1.50 each (DS and DD lunch sandwiches most every school day)
4 Boxes of Nabisco Cookies, $2.50 each (not many cookies in box, but treat for DH and kids + coupon)
1 Garelick Gallon Skim Milk, $3.49 (better price than supermarket, but this week I got free w/ coupon)
15 SunMaid Raisins 20 oz, $1.99 (DS and DD take in their lunch most every school day)
1 Stay Free Clean, $3.29 (free after ECB)
Total was $54 or so
Less $10/$50 CVS printable coupon
Less $10/$50 CRT
Less Free Milk man.coupon when you buy 4 Nabisco cookies - $3.49
Less $1/2 Skippy man.coupon
Used $15.96 ECB, $9.99 ECB, and $6 ECB
OOP = $0.69
Got back $3 ECB (Skippy/Ragu) and $3.29 ECB (Stay Free) and another $10/$50 CRT. Only have about $15 of total ECBs including today's, so may not use that $10/$50 unless I can put something good together with little OOP.

Can anyone describe the dial 3 pack? Or do you have a picture?

I was wondering the same thing.

I went last night and here is what I got.
Round 1
2 advil PM
3 regular advil
Hellman's mayo (did not read the new price of 2.5)
2 skippy
2 ragu
2 candy bars--filler
----------
Used 4/20
2/10
2-2 off advil pm
3-1 off any advil
.50 off mayo
2 .40 off skippy
2 .25 off ragu
10 in ECB
OOP .70
Got back 10 ECB

Round 2
1 Huggies 1 supreme
2 huggies pull up
1 huggies size 2
2 fructis shampoo
2 fructis conditioner
1 razor
2 nature valley granola packs
Total before card--she forgot to scan was around 105--when she scanned card it dropped to 85
She saw my coupons and told me to try and use them all
So I superstacked
2 2 off pullups
2 1.50 off huggies
2 off razor
26 in ECB
Total OOP 2.22 and I used a gift card

Got 21 back in ECB--going back for mayo and will get another 3ECB.

I only use Huggies pull ups--so I gave the supremes for a shower and the other pack to a friend that uses huggies. It was a win win for me.

Here is my question the Razor I bought is the same one I bought last week that gave me 6ECB's but it did not give them last night. I guess I am now out of my 2 off coupon. I need to return this and repurchase? How does that work?

I called 1800SHOPCVS today about my P&G ECB that didn't print from last Saturday. He said that my Tide detergent didn't qualify for the promotion. He said only the one pictured in the ad qualified. I said, that can't be true because the ad only pictures liquid but in the fine print it says powder qualifies too. So I don't buy that excuse. To me the ad says Tide Detergent Liquid 24-32 loads. I bought Tide 32 load detergent but it was the HE version not regular scent? (It did ring up the sale price of $4.99 also). So don't you think that should qualify? He said he was going to "look into it".

Very wierd...they rang up for $3 ea I bought 5.....but only got back $4 in ECB's.

Only the Phenom razor works this week. You won't be out your coupon because if you return and repurchase, you will get back the full price of the item, even though you used a coupon. Then you rebuy. So you shouldn't be out any money.

Okay. I must first thank you for the insight to the Cottonelle deal!! We have 3 CVS's in our town and was able to find some at the last one I went to!! They had like 20+ pkgs of it!! I got 4 (I already got one a few weeks ago), and there was even a sign that that said they were 50% off!!

Oh, also I grabbed a Dr. Pepper (my pop of choice) for my caffiene addiction and when I got home I noticed it printed at the bottom under the "Pepsi Co. Spend 20 get 10 EB". I was excited to see that!! I thought the Pepsi deal was on Pepsi products only and that's the way the display shows in the stores and in the ad. Is this a rookie mistake!? I almost missed a great deal!!

Yes - there is an order:

1. CVS $/$$ coupons. One at a time, biggest to smallest.
2. CRT coupons (especially if they are $/$$)
3. MF coupons
4. ECBs
5. Pennies OOP :rotfl2:

I've had cashiers void everything and re-ring several times. I don't mind waiting when I'm saving that much money! :thumbsup2

Question to the experts: Do you recommend giving CRT coupons that are for specific products BEFORE or AFTER the MF coupons? TIA!

I always do money off 1st, CRT's second, ECB's last and then any OOP money. Mfg coupons are used prior to ECB's but after all CVS coupons because I figured I can used the mfg's at ANY store.

As others have written, there is definitely a "proper order" when CVS shopping.
I ALWAYS give the CVS $x/$x printable coupon first.
I then give CVS CRT coupon(s).
I then give manufacturer coupon(s).
I then give CVS ECB(s).
My goal is to keep the OOP below $1-$2 (mine won't adjust down if I'm negative, so I'm a frequent "candybar filler" shopper)

The printed receipt shows your coupons (incl. ECBs) reordered from lowest to highest.

Today I used a $10/$50 CVS printable coupon and also a $10/50 CRT on a $54 order and was happy that this was not considered super-stacking and went smoothly.

My store has let me use both $/$$ and a CRT $/$$ on the same transaction even after the axe came down about super stacking. My guess is that both read the subtotal and not the total after the first discount is rung thru.

How could you use both?:confused3 Once you put in the first $10 the balance was $44 and the second could not be used.I would never had thought that this was O.K. (I have never even tried to super-stack) but then someone else posted that it was fine. I even posted a question asking if this was allowed before I went today, because I'd hate to be put through the interrogation at my neighborhood CVS. But lo and behold, it went fine today. That's why I wanted to post that, because I figured I wasn't the only one who didn't know this. I use to always throw away the $10/$50 CRTs as that's a lot for me to spend, and the few times I did have that large an order, I always instead used a $10/$50 printable. Live and learn.

Guess the CRT is viewed like an ECB coupon rather than a CVS printable coupon. Best example I can think of it is this: Earlier in the month, I had a $21 or $22 order and was allowed to use a $4/$20 CVS printable and also a $4/$20 CRT on diet-nutition (the order was SoyJoys and I forget what else from that isle). After the $4/$20 CVS printable went through, my balance was below $20 but the $4/$20 CRT was O.K. to use.

I sometimes do this if its not the same items. Although I have been doing less of this because my store is now allowing more than one ECB per transaction. They use to only allow ONE ECB per transaction :sad2: . So I would do small orders to keep my OOP low. But now that they are letting more than one ECB, I can use the $/$$ coupons since the transaction totals can be higher. Since I started using the printables, I've done less of the multi-transaction per store and will hop from store to store on Saturday.

Anyone in Atlanta able to get the Cottonelle deal?

Here is my question the Razor I bought is the same one I bought last week that gave me 6ECB's but it did not give them last night. I guess I am now out of my 2 off coupon. I need to return this and repurchase? How does that work?

What day did you purchase last week's deal? If it was Saturday, that's probably why. Since many stores go ahead and activate next week's deals on saturday, some pretty early in the day, I've found that if I wait until Saturday to do a deal that is repeated the next week and can do it again, purchasing it on Saturday will cause it to count it as the next week's instead.

I usually call CS in that case and they set my ECB to print next time I'm in the store. No reason to go back and return. They can pull up your transactions and see that you did indeed purchase them in different sales weeks.

I think with the Mac and Cheese you have to buy 2 of the packs to get the $2 ECB.

::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes::

Just checked my package sitting right here on the table and you buy 2 of the 4-packs to get the ECB.

I always do my transaction and then leave that store..maybe stop at another one. Does anyone do a transaction..put the stuff in the car and go back into the same store agian???popcorn::

I've got like 8 trillion CVS stores within a 3 mile radius of my house (ok, really only about 9 or 10), so not usually. If I have that much stuff and don't have a high enough $/$$ coupon to cover it, I split it into smaller transactions and do them back to back. Never had anyone get bothered by it. I do try to do it when there isn't a line though.

Found more Cottenelle today or as we call it "Christmas paper". That give me 160 double rolls of toilet paper. Also got the ECBs. I did the dial deal 3 times too.

Is there a thread that discusses how one gets this CVS card? I see in their flyers that you need the savings card to get the price, but where do you get one? Do you sign up at the store?

Go to the store, ask for one and use it at that visit. They will give you a paper to fill out with name address etc. but that can be done any time or online.

Sure!

But for me, unless it was something that was WAY overpriced and it's something I have a zillion of anyway (like if I bought the wrong toothpaste, got no discount and no ECB), I usually keep it and chalk it up to a lesson learned, especially if it's something I'll use, like Mac N Cheese.

Hi all. I've been on a CVS break, but time to get back into it.
Is there a thread that lists the January deals?
Also, by chance, is there a legit Rx GC offer? I have some Rite Aid offers, but they are for transfers and I have a new prescription.

I stopped by one store tonight on my way home to see if I could find any Cottonelle. No luck, but I did find the Cotton Swabs. No Dial, though. And the Mac n Cheese was ringing up full price?

Skippy PB 1.50
Skippy PB 1.50
Stayfree Clean Dry Max 12 ct on the go 3.29
JJSwabs 2.49
JJSwabs 2.49
JJSwabs 2.49
JJSwabs 2.49
-$2/$10
-$2 Stayfree coupon
-.75 / 2 Skippy PB
-$11 ECB
Subtotal .20
IL 7.5% tax .02
IL 1.25% tax .04
Total .56

I spent $11 ECB and got back $8 + $3.29 = $11.29.

I originally gave her the $3/$15 coupon but it was expired! OOOps. So I gave her the $2/$10 instead of scrambling to get $3 more worth of stuff.

I am so sad, I have maxed out my deals for the week. I am going to look for the dial but I don't have anything else to buy until Sunday :yo-yo:

I called CS last night about the Sambucol deal. They said the ECB will print in 48 hours. We will see. That is the 4th one on this card but the first time ECB did not print.

It is really aggravating when we have to keep a check to be sure we get what we are supposed to.

Thanks, I called today too and they said I had to wait 48 hours after the transaction to call, but then she said she would email herself in 48 hours (?) to check my receipt and then after she verifies it, she will set it to print 48 hours after that.

I rarely call, but this time it was $10. I told her that I knew of others who didn't get their Sambucol ECBs and then she finally said yes, we have other reports on Sambucol.

I am not good about checking my ECBs in the stores because I am getting about 10 CRTs on every single trip now! I don't know what's up with that - other people I know aren't getting any and they buy more than me. I guess this makes up for when I never got the $3 photo book CRTs and was so jealous of everyone else that did (lol).

One funny thing I know that is happening to some is that they get an Advil CRT after they do the buy $20, get $10 ECBs. I did and so did my daughter.

Last night I had to hold my hand over my mouth - someone bought a bunch of the bonus packs with the ECBs, all kinds of things - the Mac and Cheese, the coffee, Cheerios, the granola bars, etc. Cashier asked if they had their Extra Care Card. They said they didn't have one. She told them they wouldn't get the ECBs without the card and the card was free and they didn't even have to fill out the form. They still said no, they didn't want one and didn't care! (all while I'm standing there willing her to scan a new card and tear off the ECBs and give them to me), not really, but you get the point :rotfl2:

I found some Dial at my store today!

1 Lipton Decaf tea 2.50
1 Robittussin Cough 8 oz 6.00
1 Robittussin Congestion 8 oz. 6.00
1 Advil Tablets 50 ct. (+ bonus) 4.00
1 Dial VP 3.49
1 Dial VP 3.49
1 Dial VP 3.49
1 Dial VP 3.49
-5/$30
-6 Robitussin free product (from recall)
-6 Robitussin free product (from recall)
-2 Advil coupon printable
-1 Advil CRT
-.60 Lipton coupon
-8 ECB
-$3.29 ECB
Subtotal .57
IL 1.25% .23
Total .80

And I got back $8 in ECB for the Dial. I know I spent $11.29 in eCB and only got back $8, but I made significant progress on the Advil deal plus I added to my Ragu/Lipton deal (I've been using those as fillers). So I only need $4 for the advil deal and $4.50 for the Lipton deal.

Plus I found the $2 Garnier nutritioniste coupons on the display. The tear pad wasn't on the shelf, but there was a little cardboard display sitting on the counters with the special makeup area. The coupons were on that.

I have never tried to super stack the $/$$ before. I sort of think it goes against the intent of the coupon. I don't care what anyone else does and honestly may even now be tempted myself
At CVS today, I used the $15 off $75. The clerk commented that it was a great coupon. So she took it off. Then she said "too bad you don't have one of the $10 off $50". I said "I do" and she waited for me to give it to her...I added, "I mean, I do at home". I told the clerk I didn't think I could stack the coupons like that. She said it isn't a problem.
Oh, what a dilemma. I'm so tempted to try it next time, esp. if the same cashier is working.
What would you do?

Personally, I superstack every time. My stores allow it, and twice, at two different stores, I have been checked out by the shift supervisor. The first time, the supervisor was so impressed at my organization skills and use of coupons. The second one wasn't enthusiastic or anything, but didn't say I couldn't superstack--she clearly knew what I was doing as she scrutinized each and every coupon. (She actually complained only about a 40-cent Hellman's coupon. :confused3 )

If the policy changes, yes, I'll be bummed, but I'll gladly follow whatever my stores tell me! :thumbsup2

If you want to do it and your store allows/encourage it, I say go for it. If you dont' feel right about it, by no means make yourself do something you won't feel good about!

I'm not sure if my stores allow superstacking because I haven't tried. But they sure scrutinize my coupons. Today I used 2 robitussin free coupons that I got from the manufacturer. They WERENT printable ones but nice coupons that had a halographic sticker thing on them. The guy read every single word of fine print on the coupon. I thought he was looking for the max price allowed so I pointed to the box that said "up to $7.99". He said, "Oh, I see that. I am looking to see if it says limit one coupon per customer? :confused3 I said, "But I bought 2 robitussins". He said, "I know, but some coupons only allow you to use one like kind per transaction" Whatever. Luckily it didn't say "Limit one per purchase". I told him that I got the coupons becuase the Robitussin I had was recalled and they sent these coupons to replace them. He said, "Oh that must be why it doesn't say one per purchase."

I feel I use all my coupons legitimately. And I am tired of being scrutinized for every little thing! Today when I walked in the manager gave me a look like "oh, here she comes again." He even nodded to the cashier who was standing by him and sort of jerked his head my way. Sometimes if he rings me up he will start talking to the other cashier by him in Spanish and I often wonder if he is talking about me. I often hear "CVS coupon" etc that I can make out, but I don't understand Spanish except for very obvious words.

I just wanted to give a heads up - I went to CVS at lunch in southern NH and they had a big sign on the Cottonelle TP - 2 ECB bucks - like paying 2.99. So when they rang up at 9.99 each I questioned the cashier - the manager came over and said that Corporate must have caught on to the error and to adjust my sell price to 2.99 and if ECB's print to destroy them. So of course they did still print - and the cashier ripped them up... :sad2: So I was able to get the toilet paper for 2.99 each - actually less with other coupons, etc. but wanted to let you guys know - no more Christmas paper sales!

Oh man, I was hoping for some Christmas TP! I have to check if my stores still have the Q-Tips but since it was -2 (actual) when I got to work this morning, I'm afraid to leave the office! :scared1:

The "QTips" are actually J&J Swabs. Just so you are looking for the right thing.

Here is a link to the $2 off Stayfree Dry Max.

I bought the 12 ct. On the Go version (blue package) and it worked fine and the ECB printed.

The problem is...I could probably make myself feel good about it...:lmao:
I guess you are right, the clerk was actually encouraging it. It was her suggestion...

I super stack at all my CVS. Most are just plain impressed that I took the time to collect them up. I actually screwed up today as I super stacked myself to .09! I made her take all my manf coupons and put them with the others though because that was my mess up to use too many $/$$ and I wanted the store to be able to redeem all the manf ones instead.

Anyway, it is really how you feel about stacking like that. I am encouraged for the most part so I don't feel weird about it.

Neither of my 2 CVS's had Christmas toilet paper or Dial 3-pack, so today after work I went in search at the one near my office. None there either, but they did have a Nova Max monitor, which although too late for the $10 ECBs, still worked out great. I continue to post that CVS can be great for purchasing FOOD AND MILK when combined with $x/$x. The elderly cashier man who was checking me out looked floored when my total came to $0.46:
1 Nova Max, $59.99
4 Oreo snack cake/cookie 12 oz, on sale $2.50 each
1 gallon Garelick skim milk, on sale $3.49
2 bags Smart Popcorn (not on sale, but we love it), $2.49 each
1 Charleston chew candybar (filler, didn't make it out of the car), $0.69
Total was ~$76.
Less $15/$75 CVS printable coupon (had never used this one before, but it beeped, so not sure if it was because CVS is looking closely at these or the cashier man who seemed technically challenged was doing something wrong)
Less $10/$50 CRT
Less $50 Nova Max coupon from diabetes book
Less Free Milk when you Buy 4 Nabisco 9 oz or greater Manufacturer's coupon - He took off $3.69
Total oop = $0.46.
They had lots of Nova Max monitors on the shelf, which was interesting because I never could locate when the ECB was offered. Had another Nova Max $50 coupon (exp. tomorrow, 1/31) and $15/$75 printable in my purse, and got another $10/$50 CRT from this transaction, but considered this a good day and left.

I think they are getting stock in because the Nova Max monitors have a $20 ECB deal starting 2/3.
