VH will not just do flights, but what about a flydrive with a car they do that, if you have it all the holiday.

We did this last year. However, Virgin will charge £25 per person admin charges plus they will "book" your flights at the present cost. So if the cost of a flight ticket is more now than it was when you first booked it'll be worth analysing the new price before going ahead with the change.
It could cost you more to have just the flights than the original cost of the package.

As the booking was for 4 adults,3 children and 1 infant for 14 nights i am keeping my fingers crossed it`ll be cheaper as the holiday was costing us near on £10,000, but that was gonna be for 3 weeks staying at a mod resort with car.
Best get me calculator out and get me head in the game of planning.........................just had to add that song title in there lol
would the change have to stay with virgin holidays or would they change it to virgin atlantic ?

No they won't move your booking to VA. They would have to cancel your booking with VH, you lose your deposit and then you ring(or website) VA to book your flights. They are 2 seperate companies, never heard of moving from one to the other.
Are you keeping the car with Virgin? expensive to do so but then they will keep your booking as a flydrive and cancel your hotel for a fee.
If you dont want to keep both hotel and car and just keeping the flights then they will charge you amendment fees on top of any other fees the can think of.
You really need to ring them to discuss it. Good luck.

VH 'refused' to do this for me! last year for this summer. They said they will not sell Flights only.

Thanks all, I think our best option would be to keep the car and do a fly-drive as we would forfit our £850 deposit and that is alot of money to flush down the loo.
we also need to move the flight and car hire back a day and also make it for a 2 week return and not a 3.
Virgin are going to so love us................Not :rotfl2:

I made a similar changed with VH. We originally booked a full package including the Caribbean Beach Resort, then decided to stay off site at a Windsor Hills Townhome (loads more space). I changed to a VH fly-drive and they only charged a £25 x 1 admin fee even though 4 of us on the booking. I also later cancelled off the VH Platinum car insurance and they didn't charge me an admin fee for that at all. All I would say is double and triple check any changes you are making and get them to read everything back to you, including a full break down of the cost so there are no hidden charges.
VH would not let you change to flights alone as VH and VA operate completely independently of each other. Try the fly drive option and see what they quote you for that.
If they try and charge you £25 for each person, ring back and speak to someone else as they may be more generous.
Good luck
