About Jessica:
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c218/aiamanou/Disney%20Wedding%20PJ/DSC01607.jpg

My name is Jessica and I'm 27 years old. I live in Northern NJ with my wonderful fiancé and our furbaby Cocoa. I love everything and anything Disney. :rotfl: I'm a self-proclaimed Ariel-a-holic as you can tell from my user icon.

I work as an Information Systems Specialist for a High School. Aside from Disney - I like video games, reading, computers, playing with my doggie and shopping!

About Michael:
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c218/aiamanou/Disney%20Wedding%20PJ/DSC01660.jpg

Michael is 28 years old and is not a Disney fanatic like I am - but he does appreciate the magic of Disney. :wizard: He absolutely loved our first Disney trip together in December 2007 and it really inspired him to make the same magic for our wedding-to-be.

He's a Project Manager in his Information Technology department. :surfweb: He's my brilliant computer genius, my SQL king and my geek. :3dglasses He loves video games, skiing, reading and Star Wars. :darth: I feel very lucky in life to have found my best friend and soul mate. :cloud9:

Our Engagement Story 12/21/05:
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c218/aiamanou/Disney%20Wedding%20PJ/DSC00303.jpg

"Today is the first day of the rest of your life."

It was just an ordinary Wednesday. I had a pretty good day at work and I was planning on getting my haircut after work. I went to a new hairstylist, recommended by FSIL Pammy, and felt pretty good about having a few inches taken off. My hair has been getting so tangled that it just felt so refreshing to have it trimmed.

I came home from work and called from the bottom of the stairs as I walked up, "I'm home!" ..no response. I was positive Michael was home. "Michael?" Surely he was home, wasn't he? "Honey, are you there?" I came to the top of the stairs and the only light on was in our dining room. On the kitchen table, arranged in a vase were a dozen red roses. I smiled and looked over, Michael was all dressed up in the outfit I like best; his blue button down and white dockers. He said, "I know you like going out when you get your hair done, and we haven't been on a romantic dinner in a while."

Skeptically, I folded my arms and playfully eyed him. "What did you do wrong?" He chuckled lightheartedly and assured me that nothing was wrong. He was right; we hadn't been out to a romantic dinner in a while. I was very delighted indeed.

I freshened up and we went out to Don Pepe's on Route 46. We expected to have a quiet dinner but the place was overrun by company parties. It was just as loud and noisy as Jose Tejas so we were pretty disappointed. Nonetheless, the food was excellent and I had a great time!

We walked out to his car. It was pretty nippy so I was rushing to get to the car. Michael opened the car door for me and yet again I teased him asking what he did wrong. He opens the car door for me every once in a while and I always appreciate the gesture when he does. I turned around to close the door(since he usually neglects to do so) and he was down on one knee with a ringbox open. My eyes widened, my heart pounded in my chest as he said the words...

"Will you marry me?"

About a million thoughts ran through my head at once. However, first thing that left my lips...

"ARE YOU SERIOUS?!"

I actually forgot to say yes. We embraced and kissed for a while and then he got into the car with me. I did redeem myself after the third "ARE YOU SERIOUS?!" by saying, "And if I forgot to say so, YES!" WE'RE GETTING MARRIED!!!

..ever since then, life has been an absolute dream. He was such a gentleman because he called my Mom to ask for my hand in marriage. Everything is just so beautiful, everything just feels so right. Everyone is here and excited with me and I can't wait for events to unfold!!

So, why a Disney Wedding? And what took so long?!

After we were engaged in December 2005, I wanted a Disney wedding but I knew we couldn't afford the price tag that came along with a Wishes wedding. Defeated, I decided that we should save up and have a really huge wedding in Northern NJ.

By 2007, we saved up SOME money but not nearly enough without taking out loans. We already own a home and it just didn't seem economical to have a wedding that would cost over $25,000  and be paying off loans for the next 5 years. We didn't want to elope either. We wanted to do something tasteful, classy - and include our closest family and friends.

I had an epiphany! Why hadn't I thought of this sooner?! "Disney has Escape/Intimate weddings!" DF was totally on board! Hooray!!! :woohoo:

Wedding Party:

Matron of Honor: Pamela princess:

Pammy is my future sister-in-law and I knew we'd be really good friends from the start! She's fun, creative and really knows how to throw a party! Our relationship is great because no matter how mad we get at each other we're blabbing away like nothing happened later! I love her very much and I'm so glad she'll be here with me on this special day.

Thanks so much!! That was the same problem I had!! I saw a bunch of generic "Will you be my Bridesmaid?" cards online, but they felt so impersonal to me. The only thing unique I ever found was a cookie package that asked them to be a bridesmaid. So, I just decided to make my own. :goodvibes

I went with Pammy, my Mom, my Aunt Debbie, Grandma, FMIL and Kat to my 3:30 appointment at David's Bridal. Everyone was kinda bored that day and I think somewhat curious as to what's going on with the wedding plans. :cutie:

Anyway, so we were greeted (if you'd call it that) by a lady sitting near the entrance. I told her that we had a 3:30 appointment and she shuffled around until she found my name. We all sat down at a table and they gave us catalogs to browse through. I found the two dresses I picked from their website and off to the fitting room! It was insanely crowded and hot in there! :crowded:

First problem came in with the fitting room for my BM (who's since dropped from the wedding). She's in a wheelchair and they didn't give us an accessible fitting room. :confused3 So, the saleswoman came back and brought us to the other side of fitting room area and gave us a bigger fitting room with a seat.

Then the saleswoman said that Pammy could use the original fitting room. Pammy was ticked and said to her that she's not walking across David's Bridal with a dress on. :rotfl: I don't blame her! So, the saleswoman found that the room next to ours was vacant so she used that.

Anyway, so the next problem was that the first dress that Kat was going to try on - they didn't have it in the color I wanted or even a color like it. So she had to try it on in brown. :headache: It just wasn't good.

So, we had Pammy try on the other style dress in the color that I wanted and I think it's PERFECT!! First picture are the models wearing the dress in the same color.

http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c218/aiamanou/Disney%20Wedding%20PJ/bmdress02.jpg
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c218/aiamanou/Disney%20Wedding%20PJ/DSC01726c.jpg
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c218/aiamanou/Disney%20Wedding%20PJ/DSC01729.jpg

I think she looks fabulous!! I hope she doesn't mind me putting her up on the Internet with her bra straps showing! :lmao:

I love the color - it's such a bright tropical blue and it's exactly what I wanted for our Under the Sea theme! Not sure if you could tell (I couldn't from the Internet picture) that the top is textured and it's just so pretty and delicate. The only thing I might do differently is have the skirt altered a bit so that it's a little shorter, maybe just below the knee.

Anyway, so after we decided on that dress - the saleswoman became really pushy. She handed me an order form and instructed me to fill it out. I told them when I made the appointment that we were just coming for sizes and that we'd order them later because Pammy is pregnant so we needed to do it sooner than we needed to. I read the order form and lo and behold in the fine print with no option for opt-out that they sell/share your information with other vendors. I politely handed the form back and said that I won't give my information since I don't need local DJs calling me since we're getting married in Florida and we left.

I mean - why should your information be sold if you're buying stuff from them?? Now I'm afraid to have them buy dresses from David's Bridal because they'll have to be ordered so they'll inevitably need their personal info. :headache: :headache: :headache: When Pammy bought her wedding dress from David's Bridal, she said she received so many phone calls from local vendors. I think that's awful!!

Afterwards, we all went to our favorite Mexican restaurant "Jose Tejas" and all had dinner together. It was nice to finally relax after that nightmare in David's Bridal. I already knew going in that David's Bridal is like a wedding factory but I just had such a bad feeling walking out of there even though I was in love with the dress. Any thoughts on what I should do? :sad2:

helloirishkitty
02-11-2008, 12:36 PM
Wow, I never knew that David's did that. That's super sketchy... especially because there's no option to opt-out!

I do love the colors though, very under the sea/little mermaid. The "will you be" cards are super cute too... I wish I had thought of something cute to do instead of "so... wanna be my MOH?" heh.

02-11-2008, 12:42 PM
I love the BM dress. I think its perfect for your theme.

For what its worth, I never got any calls after ordering my BM dresses at David's. I noted on the form I filled out I was having a destination wedding, perhaps that's why? Either way, its sad that they don't offer you the option to opt out. Good luck!

Lisella
02-11-2008, 12:48 PM
The cards you made are just so cute and sweet. Great idea & great job!

That's too bad about David's Bridal. Those dresses are great and will go perfectly with your theme (love the color, too)! I'm not sure what else you can do other than keep looking around. I'm sure there are lots of other beautiful BM dresses out there - and time is still on your side. I just thought of the Alfred Angelo collection - they have a whole Dream in Color and Color Separates collection for BM's that might have something similar???

Maybe everyone who orders from David's should put that they are having a destination wedding. Yup - we're travelling around the corner and up four blocks LOL!

02-12-2008, 06:48 PM
:lmao: Well, I had to get your attention!!

I decided that I would just do a makeup trial with each vendor. I'm pretty picky about my makeup since I wear a full face of it everyday and I LOOOOVE makeup. I think it's so much fun! I admit that I'm a total makeup snob! :snooty: :rotfl:

Anyway, I've never had a good experience at a MAC Counter or anyone else doing my makeup. So, I pretty much decided that I'd save money on not getting my hair trial done because whoever is talented enough to make me happy with makeup could probably do my hair. :rotfl:

Onto the match!!! :stir:

Lisa's Magical Weddings

Lisa is a very, very sweet lady. I liked her very much upon meeting her. She's warm, inviting and very pleasant to talk to. I was very specific about what I want and what I don't want. The main thing I stressed is that I do not, and I mean do not like to wear brown makeup. I know which shades of brown work for me - but I do prefer pinks, plums and mauves. I like makeup with a little bit of shimmer to it.

So, she seemed to understand and off to work she went!

I was horrified when I looked in the mirror. :scared1: Brown eyeshadow, brown eyeliner UNDER MY EYES, a muddy blush and lipgloss. I actually wiped most of the lipgloss off before the pictures but you can kinda see I wasn't very pleased. Excuse the hair, it was very humid.

I added links below the images if you want to see high resolution versions of my pores. :lmao:

High Resolution Version (http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c218/aiamanou/Disney%20Wedding%20PJ/DSC01594-1.jpg)

Suffice to say, I washed my face after she took those pictures. I wear Bare Escentuals foundation and I just felt so heavy and gross. I was pretty convinced I would be doing my own makeup.

I'm sorry if it sounds like I'm being harsh towards Lisa - and I really don't mean to be so negative, but I just felt like we weren't on the same page with what I expressed to her. She's a very sweet lady. My BMs think that it's not as bad as I think but it just doesn't have that "glow" as I expected.

Ana from Beaute Speciale

Ana was much younger than I expected for some reason. :cutie: She had really nice makeup on and she was really interested in what kind of makeup I normally wear. She even seemed pleasantly surprised that I was so well-versed in MAC Cosmetics!

She asked me a bunch of questions such as, "Do you normally wear eyeliner under your eyes?" NOPE! She asked me to show her what makeup I normally wear, so I whipped out my travel case. She was honest with me and said that certain pinks don't show up so well in photography but she could work with mauves and shimmer. I couldn't wait to get started!! :woohoo:

When I looked in the mirror I was in love!! :lovestruc It looks like a lot of makeup in the indoor pictures, but the outdoor pictures I took looked fabulous!! I was so excited!!!

The high resolution pictures look pretty cool with the false eyelashes. :thumbsup2

I was really having a bad skin day - so my skin was super oily and broke out like crazy. I was stupid and put regular sunscreen on my face that week so I broke out. I might ask her to blot a little more around my t-zone just to keep the shine to a minimum. I know that with makeup for photography, you put more on than you normally wear because the flash could drown out all your color. I'm just so super excited about it! I booked Ana on the spot!!!

Here's a picture of me 2 hours later with Ana's makeup. It was 99% humidity that morning (as per the Weather Channel), we took the bus from CBR to MK and then the Monorail to the Polynesian for breakfast. Here's how I looked albeit shiny!

Oh my god, I really like Ana's makeup. I wear makeup everyday (light though for day and a little more around the eyes for weekend). I use Bare Ecsentials for face makeup, and MAC and clinique for eyes.

So basically I like to be a little more 'done' on my wedding day and I agree I like Ana's more. I booked her for my engagement shoot so I could try her at one year out and I was possibly thinking of trying someone else at my planning (I was thinking Patricia Leguene(sp?) but I said if Ana is good I'm booking her on the spot for my wedding day! Actually I may just book her now!!!

Thanks for posting pictures!

It's in Fairfield, near Totowa right after the Willowbrook Mall entrance on Rt. 46W. I bet the food is way better in Texas but I think Jose Tejas is the best we can get in NJ! :rotfl:

just reading through your pj. LOVE your BM cards :lovestruc what an amazing idea! Your makeup looks beautiful :goodvibes

Jessi -- I am so glad to see how beautiful your makeup looked. I have contacted Ana about mine and will do a trial in August or September when I am down there with a girlfriend. Your look is very much what I am hoping for. You look very glamorous! THank you for sharing the pix!

Thank you ladies SO much!! This really means the world to me! I'm glad I could help with the pictures - I received so much help from this board and I'm really glad I could start to help others. :goodvibes

Hmm.. Are there any products hair or makeup wise that help with that problem usually? Ana said to me if that there's anything that I use that makes my hair hold longer or my eyeshadow have better stay power to let her know and she'll use it. I think I'm going to keep a compact powder in my bridal purse to keep my oil under control.

Jessi -- did you have false eyelashes in those pix? I'd love to just have her use many, many layers of mascara to lengthen and thicken (which I do on a daily basis) rather than having false eyelashes which I might not get easily accustomed to.

Yes, they were false eyelashes. :goodvibes When I asked Ana about them, her first question was if I've ever worn them before which I have. She said it's not good for people to wear false eyelashes on their wedding day if they're not used to them. She suggests that if you want them to buy some and get some practice wearing them. They're definitely not for everybody. :) It's kinda like when you get acrylic nails for the first time and you get them caught on everything and wind up scratching your face.

The Lisa's Magical Weddings trial pictures were my natural eyelashes just for reference.

 Aww.. Thank you! I'm not used to all these compliments but I really do appreciate them! :thumbsup2 You should be fine with several layers of mascara! She'll probably use an eyelash curler first and even that step alone really makes them look glam!

Jessi

Glad to see that Ana did such a great job with your makeup, it looked fab:) . Looooved the false lashes:love: i personally cant live without them & wear a pair on a daily basis (im a makeup artist so i can get away with wearing very full on eye makeup & a daily basis):lovestruc . The difference they can make is incredible.

Im pretty shocked at Lisa's makeup:eek: , i would of been sooo upset if that had been me. It looked too natural almost as though there was nt anything on your eyes etc. I totally think you ve made the right choice to go with Ana.

I ve booked Beaute Speciale for both our planning session in Oct & for our wedding as i they seem to be able to do the look i really want plus im a huge lover of Mac:love: .

Thank you so much!! Yay!! We're from Northern NJ, near Wayne. Woodbridge isn't so far! I love the mall that's there (and there's a Jose Tejas restaurant in Iselin right by the mall!)

Do you have pictures of you with the falsies? I'll dig through your PJ when I get home (since your image hosting site is blocked here at work:headache:). I mostly do my DISing at work. Shhh. :rolleyes1

I booked Ana for our vow renewal. I didn't have make up done at my own wedding because I went to two make-up trials and they were both horrific. I ended up doing my own makeup with the stuff I always use, but with the addition of fake eyelashes, and everyone thought I had professional makeup done because I looked so different.:lmao: False eyelashes make a HUGE difference.

Do you happen to know if it will still be $10 for false eyelashes if we supply our own falsies? I still have a pair.

You looked great!

Jessi - OMG I'm so jealous you went to Disney! :worship: Hehehe, I'm still trying to come up with reasons (for Erik I need no reason other then the fact that it's Disney) to make trips between now and Dec! I may have talked my way into a long weekend in Oct. We'll see :rolleyes1 Anywho - love you're bridesmaid cards. I pretty much said to my bff "so you're OK with being my MOH right?" Her response was "yeah I just told John (her husband) the other day that I was 99% I would be". It was funny apparently her husband's response was well I wouldn't be so sure. Of course she should have been sure...so long story short no need for the cards however I loved them so much I'm now thinking I have to come up with a reason to use them! (flower girl gifts maybe?????) Oh and I loved your make-up trial pictures - you so looked like a Disney Princess with perfect skin! OK so now that' I totally broke into your planning journal - just one last thing I'm loving the pj so far keep it coming!!!!

Thanks so much!! I know exactly how you feel with horrific makeup trials. False eyelashes really make such a huge impact on the look, I really love them! I'm not sure if the $10 if a combination of the lashes plus an application fee, or what. I mean, I really can't see her charging $10 for just applying them on. Heck, I'd stick them on myself in that case! :lmao: I'm thinking about supplying my own, too. I want to play around with some falsies for the best look. :thumbsup2

I mean, then again.. these boards are so amazing when it comes to information. I'm really not sure how anyone could plan a destination wedding without a resource like this! :lovestruc

Thanks about the Bridesmaids cards! We worked so hard on them! Actually, what's funny is my bridal party already knew they were in the wedding so the cards were moreso for a keepsake for them. Wow, love how your second make up session came out. I had contacted Ana a while ago and now that our date is set I am going to contact her to make sure she is available. We will also be heading down in May for a planning visit so hopefully I can get a trial run with her also.

I also think your newsletters came out great and would love to get the template. I tried starting a newsletter but having a sample would help so much. I'll PM you my email address.

I am a NJ bride also. We are originally from NY but moved to NJ about 8 years ago. We live in Kendall Park (part of South Brunswick) so we are probably not too far from you. My DF's sister lives in Edison. I am planning on ordering my dress from a shop in Linden. There seem to be alot of NJ brides on these boards lately.

Thanks again,
Linda

Jessi - OK so I did manage to get my Disney fix - we had a last minute trip to Disneyland on Sat. Totally unexpected but this is what happens when I'm in CA and have the afternoon free. :rotfl:I'm still pushing for the Oct. trip too though.

Also I'm glad to know you gave the cards to your girls after you asked them since the precedent has been set it means I may be able to use them yet!

I'll try to take a better picture later so I can show the shimmer paper because the flash ruined the picture. :headache: I'm just soooooooooooooo excited now!!!!! :woohoo:

Other than that, I haven't been doing much in the way of planning! I kinda feel like this is almost too easy! :cool2: I doubt I'll be saying that a few months from now when there's favor drama among other things!! LOL! :lmao:

Edit to add that I wasn't too crazy about how "Most" is on the second line instead of the third, it looks funny. But, when she sent me the preview image with "Most" on the third line with "Magical Place on Earth" it didn't line up right, so. I had to take the lesser of two evils, I suppose. Yaaay!! I thought the 180 day mark would never get here!! :woohoo: I can't believe it's finally here!!

Here are the ADRs I made for the wedding stuff and then I'll continue with the story! :hyper:

Thursday, December 11: Whispering Canyon Café (Welcome Lunch)
Friday, December 12: 'Ohana (Reception Dinner)
Saturday, December 13: Kona Café (Post-Wedding/Family Breakfast)

..and I got all the times I wanted, too! :yay:

Okay, so! I called Group Dining promptly at 7:00am this morning. The CM asked for our resort ressie # and my name (yes, this is important!) So, after we made some ressies, we started chatting a bit about why I was making these reservations and she goes, "OH! The name you gave me is your maiden name, right?? It should be Jessica V*"

I was like  because no one's ever said my new name before! :faint: I can't believe it's only 6 months away!! I mean, last I remember it was 12 months and I blinked and now it's 6 months!!! It's so surreal but she totally made my day! :lovestruc

The other thing I'm nervous about is booking the Grand 1 since I can't do that until the 90 day mark. I'm going to need some major Pixie Dust when I call for that!! :cloud9:

Here's some more to-dos for this month:

Send out our second newsletter (since we have our ADRs now!)
Pick out a wedding dress (I can't believe I've been procrastinating on this!)
Call Rosie and figure out the floral
Call Ana from Beaute Speciale to confirm the # of people that will need her services

I think it's smooth sailing from here on out!!! :boat:

I have so many ideas and she went along with all of them and helped me figure out a great way to do all of them. She also gave me great suggestions for photography which I will update in my PJ, but call her soon because she's awesome!!!!!!!!!! YAY for ADR's!!!!!!!!!!!! :yay:

It's been a while since my last update!!! Well, I finally picked my dress!! The first dress I tried on was the one - ever since I saw it on David Bridal's website I knew it would be it!!

My very pregnant FSIL was a wonderful photographer but I'm not sure why I wasn't smiling in the pictures! :confused3 I was so pleased with the dress but I think my bra was too tight. :lmao: I was cracking jokes the whole time not to take pictures of my "back fat"!! I have to be honest, though - I look less fat in the pictures than I felt. Did you ever watch that show How To Look Good Naked and they would have the girl put herself in a lineup of women where she thought she fit in and she was always WAAAAY off!! I think that's me! I don't look as heavy as I thought I would - I'm REALLY pleased with how the dress looks on me. I went in with a lighthearted attitude cracking jokes about back fat and photoshopping double chins, we had a blast together!!

Just a note for you NJ Brides - I went to the David's Bridal in Springfield and it was a PLEASURE!!!! I'll never step foot in that wedding factory David's Bridal in Wayne ever again!! My sales rep/consultant was Djwana, ask for her if you go she was a total doll!!! :thumbsup2

Onto the pics!!! :wizard:

The satin bolero jacket for fun, I won't be cold in Disney I'm sure!

http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c218/aiamanou/Disney%20Wedding%20PJ/Wedding%20Dress/Dress1_jacket.jpg

The capped sleeves kept falling down but I figure once it's altered they'll stay put better and I could always use that Hollywood Fashion Tape to keep them in place if it doesn't help!!!

Soooo, what do you ladies think?!? This was such a HUGE step for me and I'm thrilled beyond belief!!!! I felt like such a beautiful bride and I'll be wearing that dress for my future husband in 4 months! :lovestruc

Here's the stock photos in case you're interested. :goodvibes There's a plus size version of the dress. :thumbsup2

Jessi -- The dress is gorgeous on you!! Congratulations on finding something so perfect! :cloud9: I'd definitely suggest the hollywood fashion tape -- just a tiny piece of it at the top of the material on your shoulders will keep you from having to fix it all day. :thumbsup2

Okay, here's the problem. I like comfy shoes. But, I know that stylish isn't always comfortable. When I was in High School and *ahem* much thinner, I used to wear platform, chunky heels with cute little skirts. I still have some of my shoes and wonder how I danced the night away! :rolleyes1

Here's a pic of me when I was either 17 or 18. I'm on the right in blue. Check out my shoes!! :rotfl:

http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c218/aiamanou/Disney%20Wedding%20PJ/IMAGE011.jpg

I have sciatica, more specifically, Piriformis syndrome (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piriformis_syndrome), a high instep and flat feet so I don't wear heels anymore. I tend to wear comfy oxford-type of shoes to work and on the weekends - sneakers, flip-flops or my newly discovered love - Crocs! :lovestruc

Anyway, point is - I wanted to get a low heel for the reasons I mentioned above and because I don't want to be much taller than DF. I contemplated wearing flip-flops but I wanted to feel just a little more glamorous. So, I purchased these two shoes from ShoeBuy.com:

Shoe #1
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c218/aiamanou/Disney%20Wedding%20PJ/ColorfulCreations-Prima.jpg

Shoe #2
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c218/aiamanou/Disney%20Wedding%20PJ/ColorfulCreations-Sweet.jpg

Everyone likes the Shoe #1 (2" heel), but I feel like my toes are crammed into that narrow toe. Shoe #2 (1 1/2" heel) is more comfortable, but everyone says it's an old lady shoe or ugly. :guilty: I know inevitably, it's my choice, coupled with no one is going to really see them under the dress, but I just feel torn. I haven't worn heels in so long that I'm afraid.

So, then I bought these for around the house in blue - and I was like, maybe I should just wear these in white instead!! :upsidedow

http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c218/aiamanou/Disney%20Wedding%20PJ/Dearfoams-White.jpg

They're Dearfoam slippers and the most comfortable pair I bought yet! They have memory foam in them and they're more cushy than the last Dearfoam slippers I purchased from Kohl's. :woohoo: They're soooooooooo soft and plush! Love 'em! Check them out if you're in the market for new slippers!

Anyway, what do you ladies think? I know my comfort comes first, but do you have any alternative suggestions? I bet wearing slippers would be kind of tacky, unless they were like ballet slippers or something.

Thanks for listening to me whine a bit here. :lmao:

When I saw both of the shoes - the first thing I thought was that your toes would be squished in Shoe #1 - and then I read what you wrote! I would definitely go with Shoe #2! You could get some little glittery crystals and BLING them up a bit to make them more "princessy" - but like you said - they aren't going to be seen - and you will be comfy! For a long day that's what matters most!

ETA: I forgot to post how much I LOVE your dress! You look fantastic - Excellent Choice!

I thought they'd never be done! :rolleyes1 I hired someone to do them for me and they were done much later than we had discussed. But, really - they were moreso for me anyway. There's only 14 of us total and everybody already has the date saved so to speak. :thumbsup2

I just thought the idea of magnets was so cute and it'd make a nice memory to have on our fridge. They came out even more beautiful than I imagined!! :lovestruc Look at all the hidden Mickey's she designed for me!!

http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c218/aiamanou/Disney%20Wedding%20PJ/STDs01.jpg

It's kinda hard to see, but it's double-layered metallic cardstock in our wedding colors. :lovestruc The calendar thingie is the magnet part. I just couldn't believe how great they look!

I dunno, do you think it looks funny? I won't be hurt if you guys think so.

Where did you get these? They are awesome!!!

I'm SO happy with how our invitations turned out. Jen is amazingly talented and I'm so glad I hired her to do our invitations. I don't have a creative bone in my body. :lmao:

Here they are! I hope you like them as much as we did. I blacked out parts with our names and addresses. The outside Mickey seal actually had our guest's names printed on them. :goodvibes ..and look at the Mickey crystals!!! I adore them!!!!

It's hard to see from the pictures - but the cardstock is the same as our Save the Dates that she designed. The white is a beautiful metallic cardstock that really just pops. I absolutely love the Mickey crystals she did, too! :woohoo: They were just more perfect than I could ever imagine!

She printed the envelopes for me as well and I added Disney stamps to the outside. :lovestruc

YAY! So I just found your PJ and am soooo happy I did! It's almost your wedding! I'm sure you're busy with all the last minute details! I can't wait for your TR because I also plan on using OHana as our reception dinner and would like to do a Grand 1 cruise:banana:! The only difference is our wedding will be 2 years after yours (Dec 10, 2010) and the ceremony will be at Sunset Pointe! Did you get the Grand 1 set for your date? What time will it be at? (I didn't see in your PJ). Also for your O'Hana dinner what time is it? Did you have to go through group dining? Will you be at one table or separate? Did you just do the ADR or have you talked to a manager at the restaurant about it being your reception? Are you doing centerpieces or favors at the restaurant? Sorry so many ?'s... you're just the first I found that has plans so similar to what I'm hoping for:worship:! Congratulations on everything! I'm sure everything will go perfectly! I love :lovestruc everything so far (especially your save-the-dates and invites). And your dress is stunning! I think it looks better on you than in the model picks- no joke it's just perfect! The cap sleeves are gorgeous! You will make a beautiful bride! Can't wait to see pics:woohoo:!
