Just got my contract for sale

So, after a lovely Feb trip, and then looking into DVC (after we got back), we decided it was a good deal for us and how we travel and began looking at resale contracts. The one that originally attracted us fell through (the seller wasn't too motivated and didn't return calls from the broker), I now have at my desk a contract for sale for 150 points at BWV.

Its a-ways from being official, but its closer than it was.

Thanks to everyone who's posts helped with the decision.

(Jaki has been a joy to work with - as promised - I'll let you know after closing, but so far resale has been a good choice for us).

Oh no! I just had the same thing happen to me with a buyer getting cold feet. Please tell me yours wasn't on a 150 pt OKW resale (#18) with Jaki.

It was so disappointing to finally decide to make a bid only to have the whole thing fall through. I expected at least a counteroffer, but it seems the buyer won't even return calls. Oh well, back to looking again....

Same one, she said she had another bidder - must have been you. She's decided not to deal with them anymore. I'd offered the asking price, but they seem to think they can get more. Maybe they can - but not from me. I'm not giving anyone my money who is that disrespectful of my time.

Something else will come along.

Good luck to you with your Boardwalk resale. I'm going to WDW in a couple weeks and plan to take a closer look at Boardwalk. Seems to be some good resales on Boardwalk now; probably because BCV is available just across the lake.

I just noticed you are in Minnesota. We live in Maplewood!

We didn't really care too much which resort we ended up at. We were attracted to the larger rooms and lower fees at OKW, but were concerned our 2 and 3 year old would quickly outgrow the pool. We liked the pool and 2 park convience of BWV, and think the busy-ness will serve us well as the kids get a little older. I love the VWL, but then, I can get that by going up to Madden's ;)

Crisi! Congrats on getting to touch the contracts! Fun momment isnt it!! :D

We closed last Tuesday on a re-sale with Jaki for 430 OKW points. Just got our membership number today!! WOO HOO.

Now my husband and I are trying to deside between another re-sale thru Jaki for BWV or buying in at the new BCV! Like you we like the idea of more action, esp when the girls get older!

Cant wait to hear you have closed!!! Keep us posted!

Going to Madden's in nothing like going to VWL! :).

I believe any of the DVC resorts will be a great choice. We love the closeness of the two parks to BWV (and now BCV) but each resort is sure worth staying at.
