My first suggestion will always be Twilight.
Although, almost every teenage girl and adult alike has read that book

Revenge of the Sith. I'm not kidding. Its action - packed in the beginning, but it has a romance novel-style undertone underneath it all.

I like Meg Cabot's stuff.
Hmm.
There's a book called Speak out there, I don't remember who it's by though.
and there's Cut, but I don't remember who wrote that either.
Twilight's great if you haven't already read it.

If you want some good girly books that you will laugh your face off at, then I seriously suggest you read "The Stephanie Plum" series by Janet Evanovich.
I can tell you right now that I am not in any way a hardcore reader or even really read that much. HOWEVER, this is a series that I can't help but read because I physically roll around laughing.

These seriously are AMAZING books! I love them!
Gregory Maguire books are also good. "Wicked" is a little hard to get through, but it's still really good.
"Wicked Lovely" is also a really good book. I forget who wrote it, but it was really good.
"Kingdom Keepers"! Woot woot! This is an awesome book!
