Fairfield Resorts (Cypress Palms and Star Island) offers different incentives for tours. We received two adult 2-day passes to Universal in September. My inlaws toured last May and received $75 in Disney dollars! I think they have a variety of options and it is possible that they rotate among them. The tour only took us about an hour and a half and they were NOT rude or pushy at all. So for us it was time well spent! :)

Ron JOn does too. We had many options but took tickets to Arabian Knights dinner show for 5. It did take us the full 90 minutes but we told them up front that we were not ready to buy yet and when they realized we were not going to budge they cut us loose. The dinner show was wonderful and worth it to me.

Well here is a list of links I compiled during my research. I can not vouch for the validity of any of them, but there sure is a variety. We are doing the 100.00 Hotelkingdom one, on the last day of our trip

(can you tell I love to research????) HA HA

OK, no flaming please but I need advice here. I am more than willing to do a couple of tours on the days my son is golfing. However, my husband NEVER travels with us except on the rarest occasions (except for car shows!). He has no interest in vacationing itself. When I was in Branson a couple of years ago, the gal that tried to get us to take a time share said it was o.k. if my husband wasn't along (even thou the brochure said he needed to be), but I was on my way out of town so I didn't try it. When we stayed at the Courtyard DD 2 summers ago, the gentleman in the lobby who was setting up Marriott's tours (for $100 Marriott Gift Certificate!) said it was o.k. if my dh was not there (but I had a girlfriend & her granddaughter with too so I could not do that either).

This time I would like to get some extra economy out of this trip. I would also like to look at these myself, as if we (I mean I) ever purchased one, I would be the one using it with my kids-not my husband. Will I have a problem taking any of these tours and how should I approach it? Ask them up front, or lie and say he is dead? If all else fails, I suppose I can try Marriott's again!

Any advice?

whatever you want to do, like if you love the resort and want to buy DONT BUY FROM THEM. no matter what deals they offer you. let me repeat that: DONT BUY FROM THEM. Why??????????

Resales can save you 50-80% on average.

Good luck;)

Don't worry-I wouldn't be able to buy now anyway, but I would like to look. I have a kid starting college (Engineering-UW Madison) this fall! We shouldn't even be going to Disney but this trip is his grad gift with a bunch of golfing for him in it.
