We are going to visit relatives in Florida in May and have decided to drop off my mom and aunt at relatives and we will stay at Disney. I have always planned ahead and used our 11 month window. Since I only have 2 months, will I have trouble booking a studio or 1-bedroom at OKW (home resort) on such short notice? We will be staying for 8 to 10 days.
I don't have the exact dates yet. When I do I will call for reservations but in the mean time I was hoping someone could help me out.
Thanks.

Friends and I have made some very last minute reservations (within a couple months). In fact I just got back from a weekend trip (stayed at OKW) and we made the reservations in early January.
Since there won't be any Star Wars weekends this year, you may have a very good chance to get the days you want.
Good luck!

You'll have better luck in early may than in late may due to graduation season/school kicking in.
OKW would be your best bet and you might have better luck with a 1-br than a studio.
We went to OKW last weekend for a quick trip that I made with less than 3 weeks notice.
Another thing to consider is that at 60 days (I think) some of the rooms get released to CRO - so if you can plan your trip 65-70 days out, its my understanding that will have better luck.
good luck!

Make your request ASAP and be flexible. We set up a short notice trip and ended at BWV for 3 days, then at OKW for 4. The bell staff made the move (including the refrigerated items) with minimal hassle. It was kind of like having two vacations in one?!?
