My table isn't under the light in my scrap space so I'm looking for recommendations for some kind for a desk light..........anyone have one you like?

I have two Ott lights (that I got really good deals on) that I love!

I'd say find any lamp you like (if you can adjust the angle its better) and get a daylight bulb for colour-matching :thumbsup2

Ott-lite is the standard although others may be as good. Check the light for a CRI (color rendering index) of 92 or higher. Claims of "sunlight", "daylight" or "whatever light" mean almost nothing, without the CRI these marketing claims are suspect.

Michael's often has 40% off coupons. A.C. Moore marks their Ott-Lites as "clearance" and will not accept coupons for them.

Some Costco's are carrying a $25 Ott-light desk lamp. I haven't checked mine because I'm on BAN. But if you can find an Ott-light at a good price, that's the way I'd go.

I also recommend the Ott light. They are a bit pricey, but most places will run 40% off sales or they will accept a coupon. The lights come in both a table model and a floor mode. Given my choice, I wish I had a floor model... to take up less space on my scrapping table. But I was given a table model as a gift (after some heavy hinting) and I LOVE it. I usually combine it with another halogen desk lamp off to the side, for maximum work light. But when I am trying to combine colors or such, I shut off the other light and use just the Ott. It really shows a much truer color.

Sitting here typing while a desktop Ott lamp is illuminating my computer. It is a flip-top lamp, and provides great natural light. My DH got it at Joann's as a gift for me. I have noticed their website often has Ott lamps on sale.
