Can I book it through Universal's website or do I have to call a number and talk to a real live rep? What kind of AAA discount does the RPH typically offer? We'll be heading down around the end of August this year. Would the AAA discound be my best option?

Most likely the best rate now is AAA. Call the hotel directly and book and tell them you are a AAA member and would like to use the AAA rate. (There seems to be some confusion about booking thru Universal....it's not supposed to 'qualify' you for your Loews First benefits, but sometimes it does, sometimes not.)

To be safe, I have always called the hotel directly and booked using AAA....have never had a problem!

There is a 'sticky' above from 2007 with dates and rates to give you an idea of what to expect.... I have one going (not a sticky yet :( ) for 2008...... note Friday and Saturdays are a bit higher in price...something new this year....

How do I know if I will receive my Loews First benefits? I first made my ressie through the Universal website where it asked for my Loews First number, and then I called to add the AAA discount and to verify that my LF number was in the system. Is that enough or do I need to call and ask if, even though they made sure my LF number was attached to the ressie, I'll be recieving those benefits?

Sounds like it should be ..... if they are saying your LF number is there, you are most likely getting your benefits.

If you'd like to double check, you can call the hotel and make sure your rate is "qualifying" (qualifying for the perks of the LF...welcome gift, accumulated stays toward your LF, etc...)

A AAA rate IS a qualifying rate, so, I think you will be okay :thumbsup2
