Hi everyone,
Some of you may remember me from last year this time, I was extremely excited, busy planning our very first trip to the world and soaking in everything Disney on the DIS boards, our trip was scheduled for FEB 25th 2007, when suddenly, sadly My father passed away the day before we were to leave....:sad1:

It has been a long year, but we have FINALLY managed to rebook/resched our trip and I am sooooooooooooo excited!!!:yay:
My girls have been very patient this past year, never once asking about rescheduling our trip etc We just told them when we're going and the Disney Excitement has taken over the Fraser House!!!:woohoo:

Here are the details:
Feb.10th -Feb.16th, 6 nights 2 premier rooms staying at the Pop Century

We have 5 day Park hopper tickets that we had purchased last year...

The Cast includes:

Me,Miriam 35yrs young,
Married to DH 38yrs young,
Mommy to DD 14yrs and DD 10 yrs

Joining us on this trip are:

My best friend from highschool,
Mich, 35yrs young
Her DH, 36 yrs young
Her DD 5 yrs (princess jasmine fan)
Her DS 1 yr

So....I am back on the boards :surfweb: re-familiarizing myself with everything, and counting down the days until we get there!!!!!!
Mich has booked the princess brekkie at Epcot for the Monday for their family as her daughter is a princess, and we have booked nothing, which is okay with us...

Have a question for you all....
My hubby is a HUGE Star Wars fan, I realize the StarWars weekends are only in the summer, but was wondering if there were any other Star ars "things" in Disney or at MGM/ Hollywood studios???
Thanks,
Mimi

I'm so sorry about your father, but it's wonderful that you are finally going to get to go and at a great time of year too! (not so busy). Have a fabulous time!

There's the Star Tours ride at MGM (oops Hollywood Studios now!) and a cool shop right outside of it for Star Wars stuff.

Thanks CJ, also for the info, DH will be thrilled with that tip!
I've heard that it's quiet this time of year, we leave the Saturday of the long weekend, so hoping to avoid those crowds.

who's ur daddy?

Familiarize yourself with the FastPass system. It's free! The first time we went, I thought it was a pay add on - lined up several times in the long, long, long, long, long, general line ups... silly me.

Lunch at Chef Mickey in the Contemporary Hotel was great. Enjoyed that more than Donald's Breakfastosaurus.

Have fun!

MIMI!!!!

I TOTALLY remember you! That's so cool that you're finally able to go.

And YES! On the exit of Star Tours at MGM, there's a bunch of Star Wars stuff in the Star Wars "store" there.. including this thing where you can have your faces put on different Star Wars characters in scenes from the movie. And they do an excellent job with it.. it looks so seamless.

Very cool and fun if you're a big SW fan!

I'm curious, is this a video or a picture. Is it something that you can take home as a souvenir. I never saw these on our trip.

It's a picture.. I think it can be printed on a number of different items (ie: t-shirts and the like)

And yes you take it home with you. I think it's about 30$ to 40$.
