Does anybody know what's up? I've been literally dialing the number all day to make our ressies for December for VWL and I get *nothing* but a busy signal.
Seriously, if I can't get through and if I do finally get through I can't make my reservations for the trip at the 11 month window, I will sell my DVC.
Today.

I spent 1.5 hours pushing redial today, yesterday was nearly as bad.
I can only use the 407 number from Australia, it is the same, busy all the time.
Call 407-566-3100 the DVC info line and make a complaint.
We have had DVC since 2000 and never had this problem except for being difficult on Christmas day/NYE
DVC sales makes it all sound great, would be nice if we could book! Where has the Magic gone.

I must be lucky, I called about 12:30 CST and got right through with about a 10 min wait.

I had the same problem yesterday. Finally got thru in the afternoon. Can you book on line?

You know if they keep this up ( had the same problem yesterday) they should allow you to send in an E-mail request a few days early and just book them at 9:00 on that opening day.
I guess thats the price we all pay for the expansion of both SSR and AKV . I wonder how many more Ms CMs they hired for the extra calls generated .

maybe there is a line problem - since both the toll free and regular phone line are busy.

Yesterday I dialed 4 times right in a row. I got the dreaded "busy" signal the first three times. Finally got through and was put on a 10 min. wait. Once I got to talk to a "real" person I had my December res. within 5 minutes. Hopefully, they will get this fixed. I was wondering if the real problem is people paying for their annual dues? :confused3

I would be really happy if I could get the busy signal 3 times and then be on hold.
I eventually got through and was on hold for 10 mins.
I was told by the operator that this was normal for this time of the year, I am not convinced this is the case.

I don't get it. When I call, it normally will only take me three or 4 times to get through. And the holds have not been too bad. I called at 9:30 this morning. I called the 800 number.
Sorry that everyone is having such a difficult time.
When you say you are dialing using redial, are you hanging up and hitting redial immediately? That works for me.

I called the 800 number today 2x between 1:30 and 2:30 EST - first time I got thru on the second try and had an 8 min wait - second time it took a lot of tries and had up to a 15 min wait. I got my questions answered the first call - checked with my guests - and had my reservation for HHI 2/16 with borrowed points in less than 10 mins on the second call - very smooth - thank you Katie and Tex!
We already had our 2/11 to 2/16 reservation at OKW so we started to chat about where to stay on the long drive home to NJ since we have an extra day to travel because of the President's Day holiday 2/19...the decision was to spend Sat nite at HHI if we could get it - and we did! - a 2 bedroom just for the nite!
Now the issues center around what time can we get there, where should we go to dinner and make sure I have time to go to Signe's to buy goodies to bring home to the folks who didn't get to make the trip [capuccino pound cake, key lime pound cake, sticky buns oooh - what else?]!!!
20+ days and I can't think of anything else!

There is also the possibility of emailing a request. I know that the bookings right now are for a busy time and most would probably prefer talking directly to someone to ensure the booking is done but email is an option. A while ago I realized I had made an error in a reservation that had to be corrected right away. I emailed them on a sunday since they weren't open. By Monday afternoon, I had a return email and the reservations werer corrected.

When you say you are dialing using redial, are you hanging up and hitting redial immediately? That works for me.
Redial is the button to automatically dial the last number without having to punch in the numbers.

I eventually got through yesterday after about an hour of dialing, and I got the first day of my ressies. Today I only had to try for about 15 minutes before getting through. I feel slightly sheepish  for getting so mad.
I'm going to chalk it up to not redialing when hungry. I get cranky when I'm hungry...
fwiw both days the MS people were super nice and very je nai se quois (I know I murdered that spelling, sorry french people) about how busy it was. Made it worth the wait. Well, almost:rolleyes:

It took me a few calls to get through today.
I wonder if people are starting to make 11 month out ressies for the holidays.

Count me as another who encountered the dreaded busies. Called at 11am on both 800 and 407 numbers. Both busy. So I hit the redial on the 800 a few times. It picked up (no ring BTW) on the 3rd try. Waited the normal 7 minutes or so.

I usually just do an online request. I have not had any difficulty getting what and where I want. The only time I call is if it is a last minute thing and of course to let MS help me with my ADR's--they seem much more effecient to me than CRO.

I have been having trouble on and off for a week. Yesterday I tried all day and could not get through; always a busy single.
I hope I have better luck today as I have an issue that needs to be clarified today.

I tried multiple times yesterday and got a busy signal each time with the 1800 number. So I just called the 407 number. I still had to wait 20 minutes to get through to a representative though
