My plans have changed. I recently said I was planning an Xmas stay over 09. However it's a big BIG birthday for my mum thhe year after so we have put the holiday off until Xmas 10 - yes I know such a long time away.
Having decided to go for 3 weeks to take in Xmas and NEws Years I have started looking for villas. I have had a fantastic offer of a 5 bedroomed villa in Cumbrian Lakes. This isn't an area I have stayed in before.
Has anyone got any opinion on Cumbrian Lakes? Good or bad.
Thanks:thumbsup2

Hi Vicki,
We have stayed at Cumbrian Lakes. It is a very nice gated community and I can highly recommend it.
I would say it's one of the best down Poinciana Boulevard.
The homes are fairly new too.
One slight drawback - I actually prefer the Formosa Gardens area in Kissimmee as I find the long drive (it takes a good 10 minutes from the junction of the 192) a bit tiresome after a while.
However, as far as the homes are concerned they are very nice indeed.

the Princess and Pirates party
I'm hoping to do this also when we go - just us two adults (kid free).
Let me know how it goes.

Cumbrian Lakes is only 4 miles down Poinicana Blvd. 10 minutes to Disney. Stayed there in Nov 2008. It is a small gated community and very quiet. We have stayed both sides of the 192 and prefer it here, it is closer to all the shops and restaurants. There is two Walmarts, one is only minutes aways. Take the short cut through Indian Point or use Oren Brown Road.

We stayed there in Feb last year and loved it. Our villa backed onto the lake :) and it was a very quiet resort. Would highly recommend
